With any operating system it is inevitable that a large number of apps will perform the same function. It is also inevitable that one of those apps will rise above the others and become known as THE app for digital photo manipulation (Photoshop), or THE app for music management (iTunes). For guitar players on the iPhone, this is that app. The developer has submitted a tremendous number of updates since I purchased the app; these updates were not simple bug fixes but added excellent new features. Many authors neglect their apps after their initial purchase, with Guitarist Reference this is not the case. ✗ Not for iPad (Read my review instead of star rating)I have used this on my iPhone 4 for several years and it is great. Recently bought an iPad with retinal display and put the app on it. Can not believe the difference. It still works perfectly on my iPhone. On the iPad, most features work except the reverse chord look up is so slow that it seems the iPad is locked up. I give it 5 stars for the iPhone and 0 stars for the iPad. Hope they fix it soon..WmPeytonVersion: 5.4
