✓ Needs Scanned Items HistoryThis is such a great application! It works smoothly on the iPhone 4! I would give it Five Stars if it only had a Scanned Items History Listing, because when I am out scanning things, and i find a better price with this app, the only way i can save the information is either by taking a picture of the barcode, or bookmarking in safari the search results..Version: 0
✓ Worked for about 5 scansFor about 5 scans it would pull up multiple prices for different stores. Now it just pulls up ebay and no price every single time. So much promise. Unfortunately :(.Version: 7.4
✓ Great App but still needs improvingGreat app, finally we have an app that can capture barcodes!! But...the app keeps crashing all the time on the 3.0 software so hopefully you can get that fixed, also it only reads the barcodes once every couple of times trying! So that is annoying, hopefully with the updated camera on the next iPhone we will see an improvement! UPDATE: Much better, no crashing and every barcode has been read correct! My only issue is the awful layout of the app, it doesn't look very appealing to the eye! Keep up the good work though!.Version: 0

✓ Pretty decent app nut needs some workThe best part of this app is that it scans the barcode very well. The bad part is it searches for the item at too few a places and only shows those places where one would seldom go and shop the item. It should show the places to buy the item which are in vicinity of the iPhone user by using location services. ✓ Works for me!!!I haven't had any of the problems the other reviewers have had... I own this and redlaser ( tried others too) and this is AS reliable as Redlaser... In fact it seems to scan more quickly. I keep both on the phone but use this more than Redlaser...it even checks worldcat for you if it is a book...( I know others do too)...works in low light very well....Version: 0

✓ Love it but....I love this app and I have found that it is the best barcode scanner for the iPod etc. But I would love it better I'd you work in a shop that you could use it at a till and that you could register some of your products and I would recognise the product and that if you plugged it into a computer it would work with it like the traditional scanner and that it would come up with a total..Version: 0

✓ Almost thereSince update today 9/17 it works well and takes pic for you and even list on a number of websites however the only thing lacking is a local search for items, i know there are apps out there that have this feature such as shop savy for the g1 from t mobile it searches based off of gps add this feature and you get 5 stars other than that good way to check prices to get best deals i would recomend this app its feee.Version: 0
✓ I wanted it to work, but . . .. . . it just didn't. I tried 8 items (of mixed type - book, bottle of wine, book of stamps, supermarket food items, an unopened gift etc) and it failed to recognise any of them correctly. Only two barcodes returned products, and both were wrong. Same results when typing in the barcodes using the keypad. The only setting I could see that might affect the results was the country setting, which I tried as both United Kingdom and 'detect automatically', with no success. Nice interface and idea - and it's free, which gets it two stars. Update: I just tried it on a couple more books and it worked, so I have upped my rating from 2 stars to 3. But that's like 2 out of the first 10 items I tried, so for me personally it's not a winner. Maybe I'm doing something fundamentally wrong? Maybe this is only for books?.Version: 0
✓ Need Aussie supportScanning is fast and easy. Automatic detection is a nice plus. I initially thought something was wrong, but was happy to see the app automatically recognise the barcode I was pointing toward. Detection is great, didn't experience any major failures. The third of item was a can of Campbell's mushroom soup and it came up as a Bob Ross art cd for about $39.99 the nerds they paid to design this app got their money and I lost about ten minutes of my life I won't get back. ✓ Scans fast...But NOT reliableTried this on random objects and even with my shaky hand it was quick to scan and correctly as the number underneath the barcode was displayed on the app.... however, the results shown were either of the wrong product or got screen saying product not found. Need to work on your product database for this app. Good it allows search on different search engines but could improve the usability so I can flick between them easily without having to rescan. ✓ Not the developer's faultSo, I downloaded this app mainly because I saw the G1 commercial and was so mad the G1 can do this, but my fabulous iPhone cannot. And while, after reading the reviews I was expecting complete utter failure - I was surprisingly surprised :) After about 64 or so tries, I actually got it to work...once. But then again, that's not entirely the developer's fault mainly because it has to do with the precision of the picture. But, if you have patience, really good lighting, and friends that are easily impressed...this app does the trick. Keep in mind, if you're planning on going to the store and comparing prices of things with this app, you're going to be horribly dissapointed. However, if you're like me and enjoy sitting on the floor scanning all of your old movies 25 times until it works, then this is it!.Version: 0

✓ Good concept but...I really like the concept and wish I could rate the program higher. The major problem with the application is that it just doesn't pick up the barcode easily. In fact, it mostly doesn't work. When it does work the item is often "not in the database". If these two things can be improved then I would like to see the program connect with the map on the iPhone so that you can find a store near your current location and get directions..Version: 0
✓ Great job incorporating feedback of previous versionsThis version is significant improvement over previous version which I gave one star that I felt it did not even deserve. My key complaint then was the assumption made by the application developer that the average user would be able to keep the camera steady enough to get a correct scan on the first try. I even suggested they incorporate image stabilizing software. Well I am pleased to say the new live scan feature worked on the first try. I was at Costco and I wanted to get information on a Casio keyboard. I opened the application and positioned the phone so the UPC was visible. And before I knew it, the scan completed and it was actually correct on the first try! I was pleasantly surprised. The capture button on the screen that made it that much more difficult to get a steady image is gone in this version! I see myself using this more often now. However I wonder how well it will worked on curved surfaces such as a soda bottle....Version: 0

✓ Not 100% effectiveI have just downloaded this app and tried it out in the UK. On books it seems to work on all that I have tried and refers to UK sources. I have set it up for the UK and tried it out on UK products - some are hopelessly inaccurate - a bag of sugar is recognised as a childs toy. There were many instances of this sort of error. For other groceries it gives prices only for a USA owned supermarket, which is not as helpful as I would have liked. Also UK only products do not seem to be recognised with any consistency. Nevertheless with all faults it does work in the UK, and if updated and extended this could be a very useful app..Version: 5.5
