Sub Optimal to say the leastI’ve had the service for more than I liked, for one they changed the contract from a 2yr to a 5yr so double check their shady contract to avoid a long term swindle. The service is not worth it, a baby monitor would fair better they have plans based on how many time the cameras detects movement so if you walk out 100 times and the that’s your cap and Mr. porch robber comes on motion detection #101 you’re not gonna know about it unless you pay them more for recording 12secs worth of video. Terrible. Items were stolen from my car and because I reached some form of limit of camera use I did not find out who so paying more for a locked in contract was the next step. The camera now picks up ghosts apparently too cause I get endless notification of nobody flipping the camera on, cool if it is but it’s probably just a faulty software to go with the terrible service..Version: 4.17.3

This app needs a lot of workThe lag in the video loading speed is dangerously slow. I’m on a high speed internet connection & it’s the slow let I’ve seen. Ring is faster so I know it’s possible. Then the primary use of this is for camera & security…the videos aren’t always captured. Someone just rang my doorbell 30 minutes ago and the video never posted. I have no idea who came by. I went to check and nothing was outside. This is problematic when trying to pickup packages and make sure it wasn’t stolen. I would behoove the app team on this to take a look at the UX/UI and refresh speed of other security apps. Send an email across the company for people with varying types of security and ask them to review the apps. Get the infrastructure and product teams involved. There’s no reason blink and ring can do it. We know it’s possible..Version: 4.21.28

Response to your requestI have never received a written instructions as to what to expect when various situations arise. For example if I set my alarm off accidentally when leaving later on I may receive a notice that my front door alarm had been bypassed. Bypassed, by who? I have never received instructions as to what the procedure is or when I am away and the alarm goes off and you notify the police. Then you notify me. What happens when the situation is alleviate it. Should I let the police know that it was a false alarm. Should you notify the police? Who is responsible when in an alarm goes off and the police respond the next day 24 hours later. The city then bills the owner for services not provided. Should the owner or the Alarm Company rectify the situation? Lastly, we were promised a new thermostat with remote control which I never received. I complained about it nothing was ever done. Therefore you can see why I only gave your company three stars. Problems at the two Cipfl locationsHaving some problems. With my two recent installations at my residence and at my home at the Lske of the Ozarks. With my residence, the alarm has gone off three times over this past Memorial Day weekend while I was away. Trying to determine the cause. Unnecessary police response was provided and rather disturbing for the neighbors. With my home at the Lake of the Ozarks when I attempt to lock the door with my telephone the signal on my telephone blinks red while the door is locking and continues to blink red and then finally turns green which indicates that the door is unlocked even though it has actually locked. The message that is put on my phone says a connection was not made and with the green signal indicates the door is unlocked. That is very troubling especially when I attempt to make certain that the door is locked when I’m not actually present at the lake house. It almost defeats the whole reason for having the system..Version: 4.19

Stop changing the layoutChanging the layout of an alarm app, so that the way to disable or activate an alarm, is not appropriate for ease of use for customers of all ages and minds. Set it up, let the customers get used to how to use the application, and then keep it that way instead of changing it all the time and confusing elderly people, people with cognitive difficulties, etc. Update. Alarm event is happening. I select disarm on the app, going on 4 minutes and it is still "disarming" and the alarm is blaring. This app and Telus service are both pieces of crap. The layout has changed again, and the new steps to disarm are slower and require more steps and I hate it..Version: 5.2.3

App Review is artificially enhanced, It’s full of BUGS.I do not understand how this app has 5 stars when just a few months ago it was reviewed at about 2-3 stars. Something is sketch here. Anyhow, this application is the WORSE. Why you may ask? Let’s say you receive a doorbell notification, or a camera notification… you know..potential emergency scenarios… so you click the notification to see one of your cameras. It WILL NOT LOAD. You have to cancel the app multiple times and reopen for you to see the cameras. I’ve been using this application for 2 years now & because I know of no other alarm app I am stuck with this crap. It works, yes… everything else is neat. But the most important aspect of the app lacks tremendously. We set alarms for safety / emergency purposes. Not sure about this - yetNot a big fan of companies who hides behind the "get me your info to log in to the system to get pricing information". That's a very bad practice of getting personal information so you can build up your spam database. The system, product and concept seems ok, but I value my personal details way more. So no. Alerts and zone upgrades neededI have had this app for yeas. I’m happy to say the my panel has recently been upgraded to keep up with expanding technology. The other pro is that it arms and disarms quickly without a long wait. Signal gets through immediately There are two major cons. The first is the alert sound. It only offers one. It seems to be the default of all my news alerts coming through. It would help if it could offer a custom alert so I would know it was the app. I have another doorbell maker and it notifies me with a distinct sound. Also, it doesn’t alert me on the iPhone. I have worked with trying to get it but to no avail. My second and biggest complaint is not being able to bypass one particular zone from the app. You cannot tell it specifically to bypass a certain zone. The only way to bypass is you need to physically go to the zone, open it then bypass it. It would be nice if the app would allow you to bypas, for example zone 5. You’re not able to bypass a zone of choice when not at home. This has been my biggest frustration. Please offer it as an update or upgrade. Especially the custom alerts. Other than these two issues the app works well..Version: 4.17

Video storage limitWe got cornered by an ADT rep when we moved into our new house, with moderate scare tactics that SimpliSafe is vulnerable, yada yada. So we go for the system, max level with 3 cameras, and in the first month I find out that our video recording simply stopped with a week left in the month. If I’m paying the highest bracket, I expect there not to be an arbitrary limit on the amount of video storage, or at least a notification to adjust a setting. Also the doorbell camera is a pitiful fish-eye distortion. For the price, I would expect it to be better than the Nest Hello it replaced, which it isn’t. I’m extremely hesitant to add on another couple of cameras which I had considered before the storage debacle. Besides that, the prices are ridiculous for a mediocre quality camera..Version: 5.2.5

WorthlessIt’s a pain in the you know what. I’m trying to move an existing camera to my new WiFi provider. Is there a simple way to do this? NO!! Incredibly frustrating. The camera is offline and it recognizes there is an issue, but it requires you to go through “their” entire lame troubleshooting process with 6 steps before you get to the reconfigure WiFi tab. Oh, yes and the password times out before you get there so it’s impossible to do. How do I change he “timeout” time for the password?? Who knows folks because that is not an option anywhere on the stupid app. In fact you probably have to have a $200 service call to get anything changed. Why not just have a simple tab in video camera settings called “reconfigure WiFi”? That would be too easy. I hate this app.Version: 4.17.2

Terrible app. Terrible serviceOur builder installed this in our new build and the company came to hook everything up. We’ve had it for just over a year and we are sorely disappointed with the app and the service. The doorbell camera never loads and we can’t see who is at the door, rendering it basically useless. The door lock doesn’t always sync (currently, it says our door is open even though I see the lock closed and can’t open the door). The AC/Heating schedule doesn’t always kick in. I could understand if the app had glitches, but the company itself is also terrible in customer service. Our smart plug didn’t work. They came to inspect it, confirmed it didn’t work and said they’d replace it. It’s been over 6 months and nothing. I put in a work order through the app for the issues above. They called me once, didn’t leave a voicemail, and then emailed me saying they closed the work order. Nothing has been resolved. Don’t even bother paying for any sort of upgrades. Such superfluous undefined terms do not make the app better or my home safer. A panic button would actually be useful. In order to contact the police in the event of an emergency where you can’t reach the panel, I don’t know what I would be. Lord heavens people, stop with the gimmicks and give customers what they want, excellent performance of basic features rather than appending nonsense to the app. And customer service is about as good as most (poor) despite the fact that this is an emergency function. The app takes forever to set the alarm.... when it actually worksI am sick and tired of how weekly this app will just keep blinking and saying “arming”. But it will never actually set the alarm. I’ve tried it right next to my actual alarm. I’ve tried it with WIFI and 5G data. I’ve tried rebooting my phone. Nothing. This app is NOT reliable. And you must be able to rely on your alarm. This is criminal, and our lives are in their hands. And if you contact them, they give you the litany if excused for why it’s a problem on your end. But it is 100% their problem. My app won’t set my alarm for a day. Then suddenly it works for a few more days (without my doing anything). Do not use this app. Your safety and peace of mind are too important. Scammers ExtradonairePlease please please do not use this company! The non-English understanding folks used in customer care are inept and app is constantly logging me out of my account. This app is really crappy! Now my finger login won’t work as of today! Wow. Can’t log in via app therefore my alarm will blare every single time I come home, open my door to disarm. That alone should be a deterrent for all who are considering this service. If the alarm does not beep to give warning & time to disarm the system, that indicates a subpar system. I have been consistently disappointed with this Company and it’s services for $60/month. Not certain what they’re monitoring because the police have NEVER EVER EVER IN THE HISTORY OF NEVER been to my home during an active alarm. I have had 3. Need to cancel my service! Sleepless Nights!The service with this alarm company Brinks has been a complete nightmare. I am a new customer and on day one of installation on 01/27 has been terrible. First of all the doorbell ringer that was installed, ring simultaneously without anyone touching it. I reached out to tech support and the first two reps tried to help. One rep even told me let me see if I can Google a remedy. After calling back again for assistance, the agents just start answering the line and not saying anything. Eventually they drop the line. I called customer service and the said there is nothing we can do, and said it with no customer service skill set. This company is very insensitive to the customer needs. Also, they connect you with a line they describe as RETENTION/LOYALTY DEPARTMENT , you can call at 8:00 am CST, and they have a thirty minute wait, I stayed on hold yesterday for two hours. I don’t think this department exist. All I want to do is cancel ! And they are not allowing me to do it..Version: 4.21.8

Issues for monthsI’ve been with edge for a several years and have had occasional technical issues over time. But for the last 3-4 months, the app hadn’t been responding to most commands (arm, disarm). We constantly have to get up at night after we lay down and go arm the system at the panel. Also notifications have basically stopped coming to my phone. All of my phone settings are correct and the app is up to date. If something doesn’t give soon, we will be switching. Notification Too Quiet!The app works well for viewing the live cameras, cleaning the recordings, turning on/off VMD rules (though they can’t be edited via mobile). Unfortunately the notification sound isn’t customizable the way other important alerts like texts, emails and alarms are. Skybell doorbell makes a sound outside, but not inside. This means I rely completely on my phone to know someone is at the door. The default notification sound is very low and easy to miss. Couple that with the numerous false triggers and the notifications quickly become benign. Alerting me is one of the most important features of the app and it’s pretty ineffective. If the app was updated to allow customization of the notification sound I’d update the rating to a 4.5..Version: 4.13

DisappointedI just got an alarm system put in my new home. I find this app disappointing b/c even when no one is in the house for some reason it still shows the previous motion, doors opened etc. from the time someone was there and it could be hours ago. I wish I can add pictures to these reviews so I can show it. It’s a bit misleading. I actually called the cops the first day that I installed the alarm b/c I thought someone broke in. I called the alarm company and they assured me all the motion detectors are fine, sensors are good it must be the app. It’s annoying to see that my “garage door is open” and “motion is activated in the kitchen” when no one has been home for over 6 hrs. CarPlay? And slow to arm/disarmWhen will the app be compatible with CarPlay? When going out / returning home driving would be ideal to be able to arm and disarm using CarPlay. The app and companyThe app is easy to work if it actually connected to my camera, not much to say easy to use, the company alliance security is the worst I’ve ever had I mean awful I’ve been going back and forth with them about my camera not working, it’s been a year now since it hasn’t worked and they still charge me 59 every month, they also sent me to collections which I didn’t owe them anything so they said oh we are sorry and said you don’t owe us since it’s directly taken out of your bank account, yet it’s still in my credit report, they don’t answer they don’t fix problems and they don’t care about your safety all they want is money money money even if they are not completing their end of the contract it’s times to take a lost I will pay for ending my contract even if I never actually received the full service they promised. OkayThey system installed works. The monitoring is fine. It’s a bummer that once your quota is met for the month, even if you delete saved videos… your (camera) system will basically stop monitoring. They work when you select the camera to see live video, but if something/someone moves into your ‘ground zone’ it doesn’t record any more. There is a feature that allows you to shut off ‘recording’ if you are going to be in the vicinity a lot, but If you don’t know about it, you most likely won’t find it and meet your monthly quota often.[ If you look at the top of each recording rule, there is a toggle button that shows if your camera rule is active (blue) or inactive (black) this is where you can switch to off] I work a lot outside so this has happened often and just found out how to shut off the recording. It would be helpful if maybe after repeat ‘alarms’ you are prompted to continue recording OR shut off the camera until you are done working in the area. The app itself is kinda confusing and has some features that are available but do very little for information of your security system/video. It would be helpful if they had an introductory video that walked your through what is what in the app. I hope they do some updates on the application as well as on the system and storage of video..Version: 4.21.13

Extremely glitchy and unsafe.The app used to work well until recently where it glitches out. Not sure why ADT is using it when their paid service and customers depend on the safety and security of their homes and businesses are being left to Mickey Mouse applications that prove to be faulty. Looks pretty but.....Half the functions I’d like to perform aren’t available or if they are they aren’t intuitive. For example, we have a major construction problem going on. Tons of demo. Wanted to turn off the glass breakage function from audibly going off every 2 seconds but be able to resume audible functioning at night. So I go to app and when I hit that function the only option is to rename. Not only is it not avail but why would an owner need to rename? Same thing with the audible alerts on the doors. I don’t want to log into the website, call the center or try and decode the main box. Why am I looking for a solution in four places? Counter intuitive websiteI just wrote a long review, that typed out, but i guess in wrong spot. Very unhelpful and counter intuitive. Did not answer any of my questions. Ie i wanted to last 4 days of false alarms, would only show me Monday and Wednesday. Title of this review did not stop responding after 100 characters, so i wrote an entire review. Poorly designed. No matter what i tried, nothing was helpful. Very restrictive. Your customer service has gone down the tube, the more technical you have gotten and less people you involve. All about that dollar. I am seriously considering changing to local company. Maybe you are so behind on serving customers, because you fo not have enough employees and/or you ate getting too many complaints. Upgraded a week ago and already experiencing issuesSystem worked fine for a few days but now I’m experiencing issues. Chime is not working, turns off every time I activate the alarm at night and then disarm in the morning. Today our camera stopped working. Not impressed or happy at all. No longer getting driveway camera alert notifications to my iPhoneI am not getting video alert notifications to my cell phone when a car/person is in my property. I can see the video footage in the app. I have my notifications turned on in the app and in my settings. I’ve called ADT twice in the past couple of days for a total of 2.5 hours. Everything this is enabled on their end as well. What’s the point of me having this app if I can’t get notifications immediately when someone comes on my property?? Worse and worseThis started off as a great app. But like everything in this world, people can’t be content with what they created and have to tweak it time and time again. With every update and tweak my devices have a harder and harder time connecting and setting or unsetting the alarm. It now takes up to two minutes for it to set and I’m right outside the door. What once was a good thing is now something I’m looking to replace with an alarm that works the way I want it instead of some millennials version of what he thinks I want. Because he or she or whatever their identity is doesn’t know Jack. I know what I’d like to do with the app and the equipment but I’ll be polite. “It ain’t worth spit” should be their company motto and they obviously don’t have a mission plan other then to destroy that which was good. Terrible for people who want a voice based smart homeNo routines in Alexa. Have to have Alexa "ask alarm.com" to control any of the non-security equipment, like the lights and thermostat- which I hate. Thermostat voice options are you limited in ability. Doorbell cam is virtually useless, takes too long to even get to the video feed to see who is at the door. Widgets in iOS still use the old system. Nothing updated there for ages. Anything Siri is extremely limited / nonexistent Cameras throw alerts for things outside of defined areas and outside defined trip lines..Version: 5.2.1

Useless get anything elseThe door bell camera works less than half the time on app and panel. When I first got a few months ago it worked well but in second month started to glitch then 3rd month became almost useless. When the cameras do load and work it takes multiple minutes for them to load to be viewed making them useless in emergency. Trash system, I can’t believe I pay for this.Let me start off by saying this system is by far one of the worst I’ve ever had to work with. The system came standard with the house we had built and now I can’t wait for the service contract time to be over. Video is nowhere close to the clarity it shows in the pictures, it is super grainy at best and that is IF you can get connection. Often time, connection doesn’t happen so you have to give up on it and hope your place is not getting robbed. Back door camera never has feed available (also due to similar connection issues), or has a hard time picking up the camera. After some time a double screen ghosting started happening on the control panel, a technician worked on it with no resolution to the problem. The panel eventually lost Internet connectivity and even though we were still under contract we had to buy our own panel from the security company. They told us that because it was an older model we had to pay for a new panel and they could offer us a discount on the newer panel. Consider my house is only 2 years old at this time. Some of the features need to be fixed, issues with thermostat control, you cannot record unless the doorbell is pushed and only from the front door camera, the back door camera doesn’t record at all. Connectivity is still an issue at times with the new panel, but at least it’s finally connected to our wifi system. Please buy a different system as we will be doing once our contract is over..Version: 4.21.20

Stopped workingOver the last two yrs I have had some very minor issues off and on but they usually pass pretty quickly. For the last 3 days the app has not worked at all. I can set alarm manually fine but not through the app. All day yesterday it showed in the app that our alarm was set on ‘stay’ even though the alarm was off. We had already left the house and tried all day to get the ‘stay’ off on the app so we could set the alarm. We ended up going home to set and then leave again. I tried rebooting my iPhone as suggested by customer support but it didn’t work. I also selected the app and reinstalled it. It still didn’t work. AAA Customer support was of no use. I tried setting it on through my husbands app and didn’t work. It still showed a ‘stay’ alarm on his app. Today I was hopeful because it showed our alarm was off as it was really off. When I tried setting it when we left it would just keep trying and trying until it would give up and returned to the off status. Who do I call for help when technical support was useless??.Version: 4.16

App Broken Since Telus UpdateApp will not disarm panel any more. Will hang at disarm and than prompt an error stating command not recognized. Also doesn’t recognized the current status of the panel, when the panel shows as disarmed the app is still showing as armed. When running an arm command may take up to a minute to execute the command and notify Before anyone asks, yes app has been reinstalled and yes it is happening on multiple devices within my household. Not something I really want to trust the safety of my family with all this false information..Version: 4.13.1

Not the best app or cameras on the market.For alarm purposes, the app is good. When it comes to the camera portion, I would say it falls behind other brands on the market, for instance, Arlo. The interface of the app with the cameras is unreliable and you have to monitor video upload volume, because when you hit your max, your cameras will no longer record and there is no advance warning from ADT that you are close to capacity. Just an email that you have reached your maximum upload and even after deleting videos on the app, the cameras still do not record. As for the actual cameras, night vision recording is practically nonexistent. Terrible range when the camera is in night vision, again Arlo surpasses ADT in this. Overall, I would say, the app and ADT is just OK..Version: 4.18.1

Use someone other than adt.Adt is the worst customer service ever. From the moment of install all the way to now. I’ve had them about 2 months. Nothing but problems. The first installer showed up without cameras. The only thing I asked for. He showed up trying to sell me 6000 worth of equipment even after I expressed multiple times, I only want the cameras. He was here almost 10 hours and never installed a single camera. The second day. Had a new installer. He messed up my walls. Drill a hole in my ceiling. And now within the fist 60 days of service all 3 of my cameras have completely stopped working. They don’t answer the phone. Their call backs seem to only go straight to voice mail. 60 minute hold times. They are the worst customer service. To add. If this isn’t bad enough. The first installer left his notebook on our counter. While he was outside for hours. In this notebook was about 30 customers private information. He left me with unabated access to 30 people’s passwords, socials, email, phones, their private passwords for overrides and every single peice of equipment he installed and where it was installed. This company is in charge of security??? If I were the wrong person I could have taken down all this information and used it for obvious advantages. I do not recommend adt. I’m ready to find a new server. ..Version: 5.0.1

Hate this systemI’ve had nothing but uneducated employees when trying to contact Brinks for help. I was even hung up on. This app needs a way to delete recorded videos, that you want to delete from your account, an easier way others than one by one. It needs a way to delete them within a time frame or on a scroll down like before. It sometimes takes me hours to delete videos because of how many cameras I have set up outside. I’ve yet to get my garage door to work on this system and I can’t get my door lock reset with new codes for keyless entry. Plus, the installer showed me a way to unlock it without any codes, like a burglar could. AWFUL..Version: 5.2

Brinks customer serviceThe system is still new but seems to be nice. Like having on phone. I spent hours and hours on the phone trying to resolve a video door bell that was sent wrong and it was like pulling teeth to be able to get the right ones sent and I still have not received it. I was also told that I could put my system on payments which they lied to me that was not available. It seems if there’s a problem then you are sent to one customer service to another customer service and nobody has records of your phone calls very disorganized and very displeased with that part of Brinks system. I would make sure I have everything in writing before I would buy this system..Version: 4.10.4

Video Clips StorageThe app does what it is supposed to do it sends notification, alerts etc. Its only draw back is the fact that even after deleting videos that the camera captures you still can’t capture anymore after a certain amount of video has been captured for the month. This is annoying since during those down times where you can’t capture any activities might be the time that an incident occurs at your home. I think deleting older videos should free up space to capture more videos. The fact that they determine how many captured videos you can have per month is ridiculous. If there is constant activity in and around your premises the motion trigger will capture it. Change that part of the app that affects capturing videos and the app would be perfect..Version: 4.17

GarbageThe title says it all. Settings repeatedly reset to defaults and waste notifications. Calling the Alarm.com staff in Canada was pointless, & the security company that installed our system can’t seem to remedy the issues. $4000 system that’s inferior to a friends $800 system. Video connection problemsMy wifi and my cellar data are perfectly fine but I lose connection with the cameras at least once a day and within that time period of disconnection it doesn’t record. I have had the doorbell camera replaced already and it was the device that was the problem yet I had to pay over 200 for a new one when it wasn’t even my fault it was faulty equipment from the company. Customer service is terrible as well no one helps with the issue you have to do all the “fixing” or “troubleshooting “ yourself! I didn’t get this system to be a technician that’s not my job it’s the companies responsibility which they never admit it’s their fault and take no responsibility. Then they send someone out after you ask for a supervisor multiple times it could be days without the device working until the technician comes. It’s not really safe when you can’t use your devices to monitor your safety in your own house because of the company’s negligence. I don’t recommend it all at you have to sign a 5 year contract and if you try to cancel earlier then your contract expiration date it will cost you thousands..Version: 4.21.12

Can’t hear phone alerts very wellI love the products and the people who sell it and install it but this particular app does not allow you to change sound on alert tones. if you own a droid it’s not an issue. Trying to figure a way around this, it seems that A fair amount of people who on this app might have security systems and be older with not great hearing, I bet they would appreciate having the ability to have a tone that is easier to hear, I need something that will wake me up if I am sleeping and the tone issued with this app is very subtle. otherwise this app is great and it is very user-friendly, I got one of the Skybo cameras as well and this app is nice for viewing who might be at your door. I got this app to monitor my 82-year-old mother who I live with and take care of and has dementia, I would like to mention that this app is very helpful in the daytime when I am awake and I have my phone on my person..Version: 4.17

Expected a lot moreApp fails to connect almost all the time when the doorbell is pushed. On data or strong fast wifi. If I hear one more time it’s my wifi issue I’ll lose it. It literally is in the best and closest position. With the update , there is no more “no active sensors” on the Home Screen (even tho the app tour specifically states there is still) nor can I see at a glance what commands have been issued or doors opened closed. Used to be available on a list at the side of the screen which was really helpful to know when a door was last opened or a disarm was done. Pretty frustrating..Version: 5.2.1

Limited Options, some criticalOne major drawback of this app is that the notifications can’t be differentiated from notifications from other apps. Being that this is a security system, it should have an option to make higher priority notifications sound more urgent. If my home is breached, I would like an alarm sound. If I leave the door open too long a reminder is good, but it shouldn’t be the same sound as a breach. The monitoring service will call if an alarm occurs, but that doesn’t change the need to have options on the notifications and sounds. That is a major disappointment in the app design. The other features are what you would expect of an app. It works and is dependable for what it does, but the limitations I expressed are too big to not weigh heavily on my review..Version: 4.16

Mrs Julie CullenApp is showing a severe alert for our thermostat even though the thermostat has now been replaced, it also shows it as a pool/spa alert when the info after clicking on the details for this alert clearly show it is meant to be the home A/C thermostat, it also does not show when a light is on or off, it only shows as on by changing to yellow as soon as you click the ‘on’ but when you go back into the app it is no longer showing as on even though it is actually on. Very frustrating and been like that since we had the light switch installed, however the same kind of switch installed for a different light works perfectly well so I’m assuming this is an issue with the app and I thought by now this would be sorted out with technology moving as fast as it does. Apart from the alert that won’t go away and the light switch this could be be a really fantastic app..Version: 4.17

Difficult to useWe have used this app for about two years. While it is usually dependable, we find that some settings can change without warning, and notifications that we depend on quit working. There is no explanation of why these changes occur. For example, the sensitivity setting of the doorbell camera can sometimes cause it to notify when a tree limb twenty feet away is moving in the wind, yet it fails to detect a person moving directly in front of it. Also, the settings menu on our PC are completely different than those on our smartphones, and it is challenging to figure out where to go to make adjustments. The net result is that we seem to be continually tinkering with it to get everything working to our satisfaction, only to have settings change unexpectedly at almost any time. Alpha ProtectionWe recently paid Alpha Protection a little over $1,200 for a doorbell camera, 2 indoor cameras. Figured we’d go local. The doorbell camera constantly goes off our WiFi and the bedroom camera swivels to the wall. I am so sorry I dealt with these folks. I should’ve listen to my first mind. They don’t answer phone calls we’ll let me say they’re not answering mine or my Husband’s phone call. I’ve worked the troubleshooting guide and the doorbell is still malfunctioning. I recently had a TKR and am prohibited from climbing to reach the swiveling bedroom camera. Tech came out last month and adjusted the doorbell cam and the swiveling bdrm cam. Both are doing the same thing again! I regret going with this company and I have a 3 years contract. If there’s a way to get this contract dissolved I’d have did it. Hope they see this because we’ve been with this company as of April 20, 2022 and I am not pleased at all. We’re paying for a service that certainly isn’t fulfilling their contract. Mrs. L.
