✓ Wait not worth itI got a message in the old version of the game that a new version was available as a different app. There was a timer counting down from 999. After checking out the new version in the App Store, I didn't see any updates I really cared about, so I went back to my already-installed version. The timer had paused around 980 and was now ticking away. No way to get past timer and it's annoying to have to wait 15+ minutes to play my game again. Disappointed to say the least!.Version: 4.3
✓ Game does not workGame pops up a message at launch to download the FREE full version only to take you to the app store where the game is in fact NOT free. No way to pass purchase message, the download is worthless. Don't waste your time..Version: 0

✓ 👎🏻Very strange rules of the game ... the essence of the game "sea battle", has always been that the enemy does not know the location of your ships. In the same game, bonuses are given in the form of "you can see the location of enemy ships". The meaning of this game becomes-PEEK AND REMEMBER the LOCATION of ENEMY SHIPS. ✓ Does what it sets out to doThis app allows you to play a variant of the classic Battleships pencil and paper game against the iPhone/touch. This variant is one with the standard 10x10 grid, but where ships cannot be placed adjacent to each other (so always at least one sea square between ships, which severely limits placement), and where a successful hit gives you a free extra shot (which if also a hit gives another free shot and so on). It recreates a pencil and paper feel very well and usability is improved by it automatically ruling out a ship being in any neighbouring squares of any ship you sink so as to avoid targetting there and making it much easier to see where the opponents ships could still be (a drawback of the non-adjacent ship rule, but which does lead to a much quicker game). It plays that variant of Battleships very well, but would be much improved with the addition of choosing the game type (does a hit give an extra shot or not, and can ships be positioned adjacently) so everyone can play the version they are used to. Ideally, the number of each size of ship would also be selectable perhaps from a list of standard variations (games where ships can be adjacent tend to need more/larger ships). Overall though despite its one rule variant, a fun app and well worth trying to see if you like it. It is free after all..Version: 0
