✓ Great offline appSpent a week in New York and this app was invaluable for getting around without needing to hook into Wi-fi. Saved a lot on battery because I could use it in flight mode. One (and only) frustration was that when toggling between the map and metro screen they did not link together. Such as if I was looking at Times Square on the map, then toggled on to the Metro view, it would not cover the same location. ✓ The Big Apple and backWell NY certainly is an iconic city to visit at least once in your life. The only down side is the rubbish on the streets and the ongoing building work which has scaffolding everywhere, also as a Brit we don’t get the added on tax when purchasing goods in shops but that’s across the US it’s not an ideal system for tourists when trying to budget. We flew into NY from Chicago which by comparison is very clean, visitors from overseas do notice the streets around them. All that said New York is great and the people are very friendly and helpful. We also got a city pass for NY in advance which was value for money and helped with our getting around..Version: 20.0

Did a 4th July, Cruise with dinner and drinks included. Saw the spectacular Macy’s Fireworks Display on the Hudson River, 6:00pm start until 11:00pm. Central Park is full of life a great experience. Empire State Building go up, the views are fantastic. Bloomingdale’s & Macy’s are a must visit. Also a must is a ‘ees-a bagel’ experince, between 50th-51st on 3rd Ave, Go get a bagel, not only is the shop an experince, you will not find a better bagel than an Ees-a bagel. ✓ Amazing app - the very bestAfter downloading nearly 40 apps for my trip to NYC - there was only one that I used everyday for the entire 2 weeks and it was this one. Not only did it give you a first class offline map but it also shows you which direction you're facing and which way you need to go to get to your destination. The only improvement that I would recommend is to have a metro station 'overlay' on the map that you could switch on and off rather than the separate metro map - as the symbols for bus and subways were very similar it was sometimes a bit difficult to work out the nearest subway. That would then replace the function 'show nearest subway' which only opened the subway may which isn't always that helpful. With some more key restaurant / bar additions (like Grays papaya / ess a bagel / eds lobster bar etc) it has the potential to be the only app required for the best trip to NYC..Version: 6.1.1
