β Fun game with a few quirksI thought this game was a bit strange at first but found myself continually going back for more. Some of the levels are quite difficult to fully beat without exquisite timing, quite a challenge. The only real annoyance is a small performance bug where the game will (sometimes) go slow until you receive a push notification. I have no idea why this is. β 5 stars for fun and laughs !I find a rat on a scooter ( he's wearing a helmet for safety,of course ) who is leaping from platform to platform in his quest for cheese doodles highly amusing and challenging in the way that Doodle Jump is- leaving me with the same desire to try once more to get this poor, hungry rat his fill of doodles. The challenge game is more difficult than I would have thought - in part, because he only stops when he reaches an infrequent stop sign. This is a great pick up and play game and will leave you entertained with out the brain tasking difficulty of other platform games like Toki Tori or Castle of Magic, it is just a fun and funny game that is relaxing and stress free. β Great game!Love the game, unlike other reviewers, I found this very easy to control! The trick is timing, if you get the timing down on each level, it's a breeze. My only hang up is the "Up, up and away" level, I can't beat it. I get 2024 points, I need 2025 to get all three stars. I've played it over and over until I'm pretty sure I've done it as efficiently as possible, it must be a glitch in the game. Anyone else have that issue? Otherwise, I love it! β Rat on a scooterYou need to make the scooter game into a dedicated game... But with a couple of tweaks: gravity is set too high when you are up the top of the playing area meaning some jumps are impossible to make or frustratingly difficult. Double jump needs to work consistantly. Some of the longer jumps are just a touch too long in my opinion and finally although offering a challenge the random scooter speed is annoying and I think a slowly increasing acceleration or a boost button would be better. But I have to say i can't stop playing despite the niggles! :).Version: 0

β Don't Go By The Reviews...I usually give a certain amount of weight to the user reviews, but this time the crowd has it wrong. There are (at the time of this writing) way more one star reviews than anything else, but maybe those reviewers think a one star review is good? In any case, this is a slick little, yet very simple game. Smooth and fun graphics and a simple UI that makes this game very addictive. And come on, the game is FREE (at least is was when I wrote this). Granted there's not a lot going on, just walking and jumping, but the graphics are great and the sounds fit the game very well. So I really don't know what all those one star reviewers are saying, this game is better than lots of more expensive games and will keep you playing. Perfect when you have a few minutes to kill. β Value for moneyThere are tonnes of levels and an arcade mode, plus theres now a rat on a skateboard extra mode. This is great for 59p however the description is misleading. I bought this in the hope that it would be like mario for IOS as it describes the game as "mario style platform". However this I'd more of a puzzle game because once rat is moving you cant change direction, you can only jump. Also, why is the app not full screen?! there are black borders around the edge. β Two problems with rat on a scooterThere are two problems with rat on a scooter. First, you can't jump higher than the top of the screen making some jumps impossible because you can't arc onto a high platform. And if you hold your finger down ratty does a kind of stupid hover in air / stick to the ceiling thing. Not cool. Second problem is very minor, one frame of the ratty animation has white jaggies on the left side. Noticeable if you look for it..Version: 0
β Listen people...The challenges are SUPPOSE to be challenging, that's why you won't beat every level first try and you won't get three stars always. But that's what makes it fun is you have to push yourself to get the right timing and just the right amount of touch to make your rat jump at the desired height. Arcade mode is also very fun too if you want a little more relaxing gameplay. Even the bonus game is exciting!! I like how when you barely get to the next rail you grind on it and have to quickly tap yourself to safety! Graphics are great!!! And the rat is just cuute ;p People. This is worth a buck. β Rat on a Scooter!!The rat on a scooter gets 5* on it's own not soo keen on the other games. I had a score of 31 for ages couldn't beat it but just now I've got 48 which I have to try and beat. Advice: when the scooter is in the air tap again and scooter is more controlable in the air giving a gentle boast up. Developer: 1. I don't know if it's only me but some times the scooter is really really slow it's almost crawling making it harder to control I'm sure there a problem with the application please fix. β GREAT example of a well-made iPhone game.One of the things I hate about a number of iPhone games is the way they implement an on-screen "joystick" for controlling their game. I generally find this awkward, and to me, such games that are basically hacking on methods of playing their games designed for more traditional input methods just fall flat. Rather than relying on virtualizing "legacy" controls, "Rat On The Run" is an excellent example of a game that recognizes that an iPhone game needs to be designed and tailored to the iPhone's interface, and gives us a rather engaging and challenging side-scroller type of game that doesn't require a clumsy virtual joystick stuffed permanently on-screen. While I'm tickled pink that the game is free "for now", I can say I would have readily paid money for it, and will if a sequel comes..Version: 0
