✓ Great appOver all a great app. I’d love it if they somehow put in a chart organizer so I can visually keep track of who I have called/emailed/messaged. ✓ Brilliant app!I've been looking for exactly this type of app for years! I had a similar app years ago that enabled you to store photos of my installations within the app. Very very important to me. But that app went with all the iOS updates and the developers dropped it :( Since then I've tried loads and all have fallen short in one way or another. My only gripe is the photos are listed in date order, with no way to change that. Just means I have to go back through months of photos to assign them to a contact. Other than that it is perfect. I highly recommend this as THE ONLY app to choose when looking. Brilliant for a thorough customer database. Please keep up the good work guys..Version: 5.0.3

✓ Great extension app for my small businessI have served 1600 customers over the last decade. I went all-in with Apple: iPhone, Mac and so started off using Apple’s Address book (now called Contacts), syncing via MobileMe (now iCloud). I was attracted to this app in late 2018 when I decided to enhance my CRM, particularly its ability to augment structured fields to existing contact records. (Previously things like Likes, PreferredBookingChannel etc were all jumbled up with tags in the native contact Notes field. So far I have not experienced any syncing problems. The developers release regular useful enhancements and have been very customer-centred when I have contact them..Version: 5.1
✓ A great app with many good features.The only reason for 4 stars is the increments for todos do not match Mac or IOS, which are 1/2 hour and long duration. Setting a todo in CJournal for 11:30 rounds to 12 and no duration option, which ignores Mac / IOS timing and duration. The sync between IOS and Mac calendar was otherwise seamless. A pricey cost when getting both the IOS and Mac versions but very worthwhile. The integration of files & pics was very helpful. Plenty of notes can be added. As well as a log. These apps make the management of my small business much easier. Thank you.Version: 5.6.6
✓ A very useful toolI’ve been using this app for nearly four years now and it is continually being developed, I’ve started to request feed back from the developers on certain issues that may have occurred and they get straight on it! The one request I would like to see happen though, is to be able to see all of our appointments in todo’s/logs separated by the grey bars per day date, e.g all of Monday’s appointments, a grey bar, all of Tuesday’s appointment’s, a grey bar and so on! ✓ Great for managing donors and relationships!I am self-employed and was used to using excel spreadsheets and a combination of other apps to do what I realized contacts journal could do all inside of one app! I have a network of relationships that relate to my job of close to over 500 people and contacts journal makes managing it all in one place less complex and more intuitive al the while syncing to the native contact app on my iPhone making everything connected and easier to manage on my end. The ability to free-search on any topic is invaluable, allowing me to find conversations/ notes from years ago that are still on point. ✓ ICloud sync and Siri CommandsAuto sync with iCloud doesn’t work the way I would like it to work. I deleted contacts on phone app to 168 records. I Sync’d iCloud with google account to 168 records. When I used auto sync on this app it brings all my old deleted records back giving me a total of 216 contacts again even though I hand deleted these records on this CJ app too. Tech support was very responsive and gave me some work arounds and said they will provide some user options for syncing with iCloud in a future update. They didn’t have it set up to auto delete their app contact records to match iCloud for fear that you might also lose To-Dos, Logs and other information that is only in their app. Also, Siri add new contact doesn’t actually complete the action for me on my iPhone. Again, tech support has been very responsive to give me some things to try directly in the Apple Shortcuts app to get it to work right. Other than these issues I am extremely happy with all the capabilities of this Contacts Journal app and love the fact that this company is so responsive. ✓ Best Sales App EVER!Seriously, there is only one thing that could make this app any better for use in outside sales. The addition of a place to track orders/commission would be the only addition that I can possibly think of to make this app any better. I prefer to list each contact as the business name and put my contacts’ names in the business field and it works beautifully as the customer “folder” to track every phone call, email, and meeting. I like the simplicity but would like a larger notes field to view each conversation (too much scrolling) and a more accessible way to edit the titles aspect (you have to go through the settings screens at the moment). ✓ Group editing makes this app a winnerHaving used the app for a year it's main weakness was the inability to add and edit groups. Now this has been fixed the app is really good. The option to password-protect the contacts is good. Some other contact apps are too complex and for me they have unnecessary options. The photos updated in iPhone contacts are automatically updated in here and vice versa. I used to keep routine contacts in the original iPhone app and sensitive contacts in here but now with the modifications I only use this app..Version: 0

✓ Great Streamlined AppI was looking for an app to log hangouts with friends to stay better in touch and found this great simple app. It has everything you need to keep up with people over the short and long term and remember the important (or even unimportant details). Its add new contacts prompt is super convenient to keep it synced with you built in contacts. My only desired addition would be better location logging for logging activities as it only pulls from you contact’s addresses to log a location so if you went on a trip somewhere you would have to add a custom location. I will always appreciate a 1 time purchase app more than others as well as not everything has to be a continuous service product. ✓ Total TRUST in cJournalSuggestion: under address information tabs Phone Numbers - 1)miss being able to add a persons name so I know which number is which, or 2) when you do create a customized name to a phone number, I wish the customized list could be Alphabetized so you would not have to create duplicate names. ✓ Door to door sales must haveI’ve tried them all. Took me 3 years to write this review. I keep looking for something better but it’s impossible. I do sales in the field using direct mail response cards for leads. I can scan the cards into PDF and attach as file to the contact. Not many do this. I can set up custom pins to indicate the leads that are door knock only, or appoints set, lead batch date, etc. Love the groups and tags. I can make groups by pipeline then tag based on lead status for example. Or I can make groups by county then tags by city. So many options. The only thing I wish for is to use tags or groups as a rule function that would allow me to remove groups from view. For example, I may have tagged the city I’m working. Within that city I have grouped two pipelines. If I want to see 1 pipeline in a specific groip (city) I cannot do this as it’ll show all contaactvin each group. Would be nice to exclude groups from view using rules. I swear, if you guys could bump that up on the priority list? I’ll pay $25/month. Then if you could polish off with campaigns for speed dialing / auto dialing I’m in for $50.Version: 5.9.3

I’ve wanted a way to be able to keep track of friend’s lives more easily, follow up with them and remember what we talked about (yes, this is part of being a good friend, but let’s face it, it’s difficult to do this when you have a wide circle). ✓ A great app that does what is says!I’ve used Contacts Journal CRM for a number of years and still love it. I really like it’s balance of features and simplicity. Also, I can’t remember a time when it crashed or had an issue. The level of configuration and customization is spot on. The ability to use variables like contact name in the email templates really helps to add functionality that is was above the precise tag for this software. I hope they keep up the good work. Export function is terrific. Output any section by contact to email, print etc. love the contact sync function with apple contact app. Keeps it all tidy. Logging to to multiple contacts is sweet. Just some ideas. Device sync in iCloud a bit sketchy. Haven’t got it to work. Manual sync with Dropbox is not appealing. Template merge is good. Would like to see the log heading appear first and not “template”. Would like output/share option to either log or file. Need to have option to place subject line or heading in log share. Now you need to add this on top line of copy/ share sequence. Be nice to have shortcut in todo to be able to add (temporarily) task to my todo day today, without rolling/changing date to today. I got tired of hand writing my call notes on file folders after each sales call, after each customer visit and then have to re-type again, a weeks worth of sales call notes to turn in to my boss. After downloading 10 different CRM free trial apps, this was the very best for what I wanted to do and use it for. Now, I log notes after each sales call, can attach a picture or quote (pdf) to the account profile and or log notes, edit, add or delete important information to review before each sales call, add a “color tag” to each account, to visually see when I’m scrolling through customer list, who is a Prospect, Existing, Cold Call or No opportunity customer. Best part is, at the end of the week, I can just “Export” and can sort by date, logs, etc. my entire week of sales call notes to my boss by email. It’s complete with all customer information and I can also schedule a follow up or “To Do” for each call that notifies me when due or past due. I love this app!! The app has plenty of great features and the user friendly interface is very easy to navigate once you get used to it. As a gas/heating engineer CJournal is my everyday ‘go-to’ app for all the information relating to my customers and their appliances, including historic visits and planned visits/maintenance. It really is a main tool for the day to day running of my business. I was looking for something to collect my contacts, to assign contacts with notes, orders, appointment dates etc. This app does all of that and much more. In fact it's easy to customise it to suit your needs. I like to write up customer orders and I can do that in the log section, by adding a new title 'order'... and I was able to export just about any information to csv format, or i can print or e-mail it.. and those settings work very well on my iPod touch. We have a whole company os indeendant business people looking for this kind of app and I am happily recommending it to everyone. Worth purchasing the full version. ✓ Great all-round... except iCloud multi device optionFantastic App. Amazing delivery and access of all data. Very easy and logical to explore. Incredible support from developer if you get stuck. That said, the iCloud function that allows you sync more than one iOS device is unreliable. The App has crashed under this iCloud system for me... to the loss of 6 months data on the first occasion (the developer provided monumental support for me in this crisis)... and hours of re-entry the second time it crashed. I continue to use the App because it is by far the best of the CRM's on iOS, but I do not sync data with iCloud anymore, instead I back-up data through an email attachment... which was used to recover my data today when iCloud 'ground zeroed' for the second time. ✓ Replaces my pc contact management appI've looked for 2 years for a replacement for ACT on my pic. One challenge I had was to keep a history of my meetings. Another was to easily change appointment dates. A third was to have repeating appointments and get warnings of those meetings ahead of time. Contacts Journal does all of this. ✓ Finally. A User Friendly Practical CRMI looked at quite a few different mobile CRM’s. I would download their App then try to figure them out and try load the details that are most important to my calls. It had to be easier and more efficient that keeping files in a binder and taking notes and doing follow ups the old fashion way. Which was working but time consuming and heavy and cumbersome. But each App I tried had some or several drawbacks. Finally, I found “C- Journal”. Every step is easy to use and to navigate back and forth from, as you add and move around. It is woking awesome so far. It even pulls and sorts out existing contacts I already had in my phone and puts all the information in its exact spot in the files. Now I’m convincing the Fleet guy to get on it so we can share contacts just in case we need to cover for each other. It’s just smart business. Made easier. ✓ This is a Very Capable Simple CRMI bought this app a few days ago. I had a few issues getting the sync to work, but I emailed customer support and the fix was very easy. Simply turn off sync on my iPad, wait a few minutes and turn it back on. I wanted an app that would interface with my Apple contacts. This app does that. When you start the program for the first time, you can import the contacts that you want to. After that, the app will alert you when you have entered a new contact in your Apple contacts and allow you to import it if you want to. This app allows me to keep a log of the last interaction with a client as well create a to do list of the next interaction I need to have with a client. ✓ The Perfect Pastoral Care LogI'm a Christian pastor and I use this to track visits and worship services for mileage. It also helps track when I last visited someone and why. The CRM aspect is perfect for my work even though I'm not engaged in a traditional "business". ✓ Works “fairly” well.There is a few improvements I would like including a “today” feature as right now there is only an “overdue”, “next 7 days”, and “upcoming”. Secondly, you can’t set alarms further than 2 days before the scheduled appointment which needs to be adjusted so that you can customize all the way up to a full week as if you have an appt on a Monday you can’t get a reminder on Friday during business hours to prepare, instead the earliest reminder you can get is Saturday, therefore needing to carefully pay attention to your future schedule but I downloaded a CRM so that I didn’t have to do that as much. Last complaint is the iCloud system with my iPad only lasted a couple weeks and now it just doesn’t want to connect properly and I would have to do a manual back up, email it to myself, wipe the cloud clean, and then restore from back up and HOPEFULLY have it work and not lose everting. Definite room for improvement. That being said, I still gave it 4 stars for a reason. On my iPhone exclusively it hasn’t glitched yet, works as it’s supposed to, and I do like how it ties in to your apple contacts so even if you’re using another CRM this could be a very easy addition for the price to have a WAY more detailed contacts experience. I have been using it for half a year and being in real estate I use it all day long and, as I said, it hasn’t crashed or caused me any serious issues yet. Would definitely recommend..Version: 4.0.5

✓ Wow what a life saverI love this program. I work in the eye glass frame business and the company does not have a good system. I takes forever to find a client and it just is not productive. I also tried sales force and that has so many bells and whistles you can get lost. This is perfect. First your able to find your client and then hit a button and know where they are and have directions. You can email , text or call prospect right after you see them. You can have templates that you can send out emails after you see a client for thanking them. This template is already pre written l. You just hit two buttons and it says email putting your clients name in it. IIy records every contact you have with them. In sales the touches are important and this gives you 4 different way to touch, they are In person, text, email and phone. it’s great. If there was one thing i wish it had would be a way to run a report on when you last made a contact with the client. it be something you could run on a daily or weekly It would include your entire database. this would help to know who you have not seen yet. If there is a calendar view of logs, and/or if the user could view the logs directly from the calendar CJournal inside Calendar App, that would be perfect! For now, it can add ToDos to system default calendar, and gives the user an option to delete it from the calendar after the ToDo is done. Another improvement could be clicking the address in the log, and trigger maps navigation. Third, when the user share an address from Google Map, automatically saves it in Customized address, and/or create an event log from this address. Support has been great when I’ve had issues or questions. I needed something to be my memory when I make calls and visits. It automatically date and time stamps entries so I can look back and say “when was that?” Everything is searchable - contacts, logs, to-dos. And everything can be easily exported for reporting. I load all the information from each business card so I have no need to keep them and have all their I go electronically stored. All locations are mapped so I can see who I’m close to for warm calls. I like the way you can keep client details on your iPhone so that you know if they are calling you, yet keep them separate from personal contacts and easily remove them when no longer needed. That is if you remember to convert them to private clients or change them to a different group before deleting in the app. I usually put them into a “to delete in [month]” group in case they contact me after I believe they are dead leads. My only criticism is that you can’t search by ‘user fields’ although you can see all the people with a say a list value you can’t search for just people with a specific item in a list. However, ‘pin colour’ is handy when looking on the map view and ‘currency’ is ok but you have to go into manage data to see a list of people with values..Version: 4.3.1

The ability to turn the to do item directly into a calendar event rocks. ✓ Great app until todayI love this app bought unlimited and I never do that. I am in liquor sales and this keeps me on track I love the auto logs so I can see what I’ve done each day. But today on one of the busiest weeks I’ve had recently it started crashing. I enter logs it crashes and I lose them. Very frustrating since I’ve really come to depend on it. ( first time I’ve done this with an app as opposed to pen n paper). Fix crashing and I will give it 50 stars. Update, latest update fixed the problem thank you sooo much this app is amazing! Keeps my very scattered brain more organized. One feature you could add is the ability to rotate logs and todos. If I could take a todo to a log, then the log to another todo that would be great for keeping up with what I’ve done and need to do on smaller tasks. I've not been disappointed! The app keeps getting improved all the time with new features and fixes, and I've asked for support numerous times over the time I've used it, always to have my expectations exceeded, both in response time and quality of support. ✓ Improves with use..I’ve been using this app for a while now and found that the more I use it the more useful it becomes. I’ve jumped around using productivity apps for recording conversations with customers, sponsors, colleagues etc. But none really do the job for me in a way I want them to perform. This does. The only thing preventing me from awarding five stars is I’d like to have formatting options in the log and to-do fields. I use bullet points and numbering a lot. ✓ A great client management programI have been using this program for several years. I love it. I keep track of all my IT client information including any picture related to them in it. It has everything I need. The only tricky thing about it is the syncing. I using and iPad and and iPhone. It works fine until I changed phone and eventually upgrade to a new iPad. The trick is getting it to sync from one that has the most up to date data to the other. It is not their fault. They gave me directions and was responsive. I finally got it to sync properly. The backup feature is also great which give you piece of mind when ever syncing is an issue. You at least know you have a good backup and it allows to save multiple sets of backup, auto and manual..Version: 5.12.7

✓ Be careful typing when renaming files…I’ve been using this app since it was first released. There can be a major issue when a file is being renamed. Even with the size of my iPhone 15 Pro Max keyboard— if I don’t hit the letters perfectly centered, or if my finger comes in contact with “rename” while still typing— the screen will immediately close without renaming the file. It would simply be an inconvenience to have to start over, however on too many occasions the file has actually become “null.” I’ve recently lost several important business documents as a result. It’s a good idea to have a backup copy of all documents saved as a “file” in Contacts Journal..Version: 5.11.3

✓ Truly Excellent CRM for My Small BusinessI have been using Contacts Journal for many years and I love how it makes it so easy and intuitive to log conversations with my clients. It has great customization features, so you can add custom fields for account numbers, loyalty numbers, preferences, etc. You can add custom log title descriptions, to fit your particular needs. For example, I added both incoming and outgoing calls, so I can see how the conversation was initiated. You can add custom tags to your contact names to filter your list however you like. I searched the App Store for CRM apps and evaluated several before my search ended with Contacts Journal. The app is so easy to use, so I rarely needed to contact support, but the one or two times I did, they provided top notch support. No app will ever be perfect for everyone’s needs, but in my opinion the developers of Contacts Journal seem to have gotten this app to be the best it can be to meet most expectations and needs..Version: 5.9.3

✓ Great App for my Real Estate Business!This app keeps all of my prospects, leads very tidy and in one place. Like any new system there is a learning curve but the interface is easy to use so it only took me a few days to get it to do what I wanted. There is no way to track financials like on Base/ Sell but once a prospect becomes a Lead I transfer the info over (I think I like this way too. I do A LOT of prospecting). The price is awesome! No in-app purchases. Been using CJournal for 5 months and I can’t remember the app crashing. I have zero complaints. ✓ Sales reps reviewI purchased this app years ago for my iPhone. Played with it some from time to time and never really gave it a chance. I recently purchased an iPad pro 12.9 and installed the app on it as well. I have began really digging in to what the app can do. It’s GREAT! Especially nice using it on iPad and iPhone together all synced up. Make it what you want by customizing it for your own needs. I really like it a lot. The only thing that would make it perfect is if incoming text messages and incoming emails would be able to show up in the app and get logged. I can send texts and emails from the app and those send outgoing texts and emails get logged…BUT…incoming texts and emails are not available to the app so I have to copy and paste replies from incoming iMessage (texts) and emails into the app , or make a note. It’s an extra step to have to manually log any incoming texts or emails which is not great but other than that it’s is really great and customizable. I would love it more if they could make it accept incoming texts and emails. I’d pay for that. THAT THE ONLY THING FROM 5/5 STARS..Version: 5.10.5
✓ FantasticWhat a great app - I wish I'd had it years ago. It's simple, and all the better for that, allowing you to add to-do's and logs for each of your contacts. I love the fact that contact info stays synced between this app and the offical contacts app as many other apps don't do that properly. If you want to keep track of how you've interacted with a group of people, I know of no better app to do so. It's great to have TouchID support, too. I've given it four stars instead of five because it's only possible to tag one person for each to-do/log. If you could create a to-do/log for more than one person at the same time, that would be perfect..Version: 3.6.1

✓ Excellent!!I’ve been using paper index cards to keep logs of my customers and their appointment history (dog groomer). I was looking for a digital alternative which was simple to use, clear and concise, easy to set up, and secure. I have found all this in this app. I am able to save general info on the dog in once tab and then write what I have done to each dog on their appointments. I also really like the look of the app because at a quick glance I can see what I have done to the dog in the past. Logging info is easy and the back up to cloud and the export options widen the capabilities of what I can do next! Excellent. I will be purchasing the full version as soon as I each my 20th log.
