(Early HP scientific calculators actually were recalled and replaced when a tiny bug was discovered.) But a business calculator that makes elementary-school math errors (e.g., in squaring a negative number) is unforgiveable! The calculator on which this app is based goes back to 1981, and among financial wizards both old and young, it is still the gold (well, platinum) standard! ✓ Click click click click click. Not for library use.If HP shipped a calculator with sticky keys I imagine they would do something about it. But here we have version 1.0 and I suspect that is how it will stay. The problem with this calculator is that the keys click loudly. You cannot turn the sound off. All you can do is lower your iPhone's volume while you use the calculator. I wanted to tell HP about this, but the support link simply goes to their homepage. As an iPhone version of the 12C Platinum it's just fine. Just like the real thing, with one niggle that the red and blue lettering is not as clear as the picture above. I don't believe that's a screenshot. The blue text is fine in the "numeric pad only" portrait mode, but just a bit too small in landscape mode. I imagine this is simply a limitation of the iPhone screen, so not in HP's control. Something to be aware of though if your eyesight is less than perfect. But that key click! I'm amazed that HP shipped without a "sound off" option. PS Have lowered to 2 stars from 3 as I have tried to give feedback to HP. There is no way to do so. I've removed the app and have bought a clone which was cheaper, had clearer keys and additional features. It's much nicer than this "original"..Version: 0

✓ ANNOYING Clicking SoundThere is an ANNOYING clicking sound every time a key is touched. Usually there is a way to turn off the clicking sound through the program. ✓ Beautifully put together but flawedThis app is a beautiful version of the upgraded 12c. However, I've noticed a fairly large error/bug. Calculations using dates when configured to DMY fail. Even though selecting DMY mode for English dates shows up on the LCD, it either is ignored in calculations or results with Error 8. On a positive note, the (button) touch accuracy and sensitivity is much better than HP's other 12c app which makes using it less frustrating. Also the portrait mode is more sharply rendered than the slightly cheaper HP app. I'd be happy to amend my rating when the date error is corrected..Version: 0
