Map my tracksOverall this is a very cool app. But it has some annoying problems. If your American and ate accustomed to miles instead of kilometers there is an issue. Even after properly choosing imperial units the speed and elevation graphs are still metric. After syncing the activity with the website the units ate still screwed up. The account does have preferences for what units like the app. Still the units are wrong. Clearly this app and website Are tailored to European users. If the programmers would fix these bugs this app and website would get a high rating. But at this time I give it a rating of 3 out of 5.Version: 2.1.0

Cool app - Map my tracksI am having fun mapping my tracks during my workouts!.Version: 2.0.2

Not badI use it for cycling, walking & running about the only thing that seems to be accurate is the timer, the mapping has never been accurate at all, distance is always really off not all that impressed with it..Version: 2.3

Annoying that it ask for ratings so frequently during the first couple of times I've used itI barely tried the app and it's constantly bugging me to force me to rate it. No matter how many times I tell it I'll rate it later. It's even more annoying when you are right in the middle of your session. The app may be good, but the low score is a result of being forced to review it before I wanted to, hence not being able to try the app properly..Version: 2.0.2

This clearly doesn't map3 out of 5 rides it cuts out after half a kilometer enough said don't waste your money or time.Version: 2.2.2

I like it but...I really do like this app but there do seem to be some glitches. The altitude changes are sometimes quite obviously wildly inaccurate. On occasions it hasn't switched off and on properly. I'm also uncertain how this app takes a steep hill climb into account. Does it measure only the horizontal distance travelled or do you get credit for the actual distance travelled? But thanks from me and my dog as it's been a great motivator to get out more frequently!.Version: 2.3

Resetting-Unusable until fix is providedDisappointed to find that yes the software stops tracking you ride when ever a call or text is received. Also, it stops if you want to play music during your ride, walk or run. Its doesn't appear to work properly with other applications on the iphone. Dissapointingly I have gone out for two bike rides and no sooner had I started the device then it resets when a call or text is received even if it goes unanswered. Gutted as my friend has the software on the Blackberry and it works really well...hopefully a fix will come out soon but time is marching on and no update has come out yet....Version: 0

PasswordDid think it was quite good until I recently accidentally deleted it off phone,re installed it but couldn't remember password and can't start with new profile as it states email address being used and because I can't find anywhere where it says forgotten/reset password I'm kinda stumped....needs to be a little more user friendly.Version: 2.3.1

Where am I?My map is wrong! How do I change it? It says I'm in Deer Bluff, Canada...guess what?? I'm NOT!!.Version: 2.3

Still buggy in sept 2016Updated Sept 2016... Still buggy. Once per week after finishing a walk or run, hitting stop and stop and syncing the app sometimes will continue "adding" time and km. This is frustrating. My new routine now after an event is to hit stop, stop, sync then take screen captures and then remove the app from memory. Otherwise the app sometimes forgets it has been stopped and will continue to add to and butcher a logged event. Updated January 2015... This app needs HealthKit integration. I'll use Strava until this app fixes this. ----- April 18... New issues... If you own a Pebble it's pretty much impossible to stop the app on the phone from communicating to the pebble watch. First we need a switch or toggle so that it's a choice for it to communicate or not. I'd like MapMyTracks to work onU phone alone while another proffered app commincates to the watch. The reason I want this is that I found the communication between MapMyTracks and the pebble to be hinky/unreliable. I like to go one epic bike rides in the 100+ km range and I find that the pebble can cause the iPhone app MapMyTracks to stop recording my trek. Not cool. ---- I've loved this app in the past and the team has incorporated past suggested in updates. Well it's new feature time again. We need a good/better method for exporting/importing my history. In my case I have an aging iPhone 4 that has 3 years of daily treks records. I now have an iPhone 5s. I'm looking for to spring weather and getting back out on my bike. However I've noticed that despite putting my account on the new phone, it doesn't have my past history that is stored locally on the iphone4. Yes I could go day by day on the iPhone 4 and export but that could take me days. We need a better mass import/export function. Same issue when updating to the website. Pita doing it one by one. So, mass import/export. Make it happen. Please. I don't want to stop using this app but without this function I'm better served by other apps. Please fix..Version: 4.6.1

Sometimes yes most times noThis app use to work pretty well but lately it never syncs with the gps signal, ie it locks up Need a new app.Version: 5.7.2

Not badGreat app but agree at times it can be unreliable with the same run sometimes coming out at different kms or times...Version: 2.3

Could use improvementMinimal controls available during the run. What controls are available are very small and hard to use while running. Very little information displayed during run. Some information is too small to read when running. No pace info avail during run. No audio updates. If gps reporting accuracy is set to ten meters, the run will not be tracked unles the gps accuracy is ten meters or less. I wanted the maximum update rate during the run so the track would be accurate. I ran 1.5 miles before I figured out that the program was not tracking the run. I'm guessing that was because gps reporting was set to ten meters bit accuracy was greater than 17 meters most of the time. I really don't know why the run was't tracked..Version: 0

Good when it worksI really liked this app at first but it can be quite unreliable at times recording impossible maximum speeds and dropping out half way through. I also email support when I had a problem and they never got back to me. I use sports tracker now, basically the same but more accurate and reliable..Version: 2.3

Reasonably UsefulFound the tracking to be pretty good on walking trail and great that the data was straight up into the companion website (map my tracks). However, after 1.5 hours, battery life was halved on iPhone 3GS, which makes it of limited use. Not sure how on earth you could use this on longer trips. Real-time tracking good when wife wants to know where I am on road bike! I am not convinced though that iPhone battery life is good enough to make this a quality app. This may be true of all GPS tracking apps and not just Outfront though..Version: 0

Not workingI am on ios 7 on iphone 5 and it will not start. the app will open but when i click new track it crashes every single time. it is broken please fix it! i loved this app.Version: 3.5

So far so goodFirst run was good but not all that straight forward usability wise.Version: 2.3

Location??I am in montreal canada and the app say that i am in Angus town???.Version: 2.3

Liking the appAfter initial misunderstanding with the app & now having sorted it, I love it, but, I would love to be able to incorporate photographs onto my walking tracks. Maybe this is something for the near future? I have figured more things out today so all is looking up. I love the fact I can watch my walks back on the little playback and can keep notes about each walk. It's great for me & my little dog to record our daily doggie walks. I'd recommend mapmytracks to others.... .Version: 2.0.2

It worked well for a while...I've used this app for several months and I really liked it, but lately, I've had quite a few problems. One day it quit tracking me half way through my run, another it only mapped a portion of my run. In another instance, after I stopped it, synced it to the website, and posted it to Facebook, I went to look at that run the next day at work, and it was still tracking me, I had a 12 hr+ run, really? The last time I used it, I was running with a friend and somehow they ran 2.5 miles and I ran less than a mile, they had a different tracking app. Needless to say, I have been very frustrated with this app over the last 2 weeks, I am ready to get rid of this app for good..Version: 2.3

Why sign in?What is it about these gps tracking fitness apps that require us to sign in??! Ok, so some people might want to publish their workout with every friend and stranger who could care less, but others like myself wish to remain private. I know...I know... We can opt to record the data on the iPhone only. So why would we have to sign in? If people want to share their achievements with the world, let THEM sign in. Let the rest of us quietly walk around without worrying over the slight chance of our little stroll going public. Is it so much to ask? Or is it more about the app's associates' insatiable need to know how many people use their app? Well, it backfired; because I'm not going to use this app until I can use it without logging in. Please change this..Version: 2.3

Keeps crashin on IOS 4Otherwise seems to be pretty good app.Version: 2.3

RubbishRecords inaccurate distances and messes you around for hours when you try to delete an activity. Once you try to delete a training activity it won't let you do anything else and takes ages to complete. I can't believe that someone was allowed to build in such a ridiculous feature in a program. Why the he'll can't you cancel an action and have to wait so long. Pure garbage..Version: 2.0.1

Ne fonctionne pasImpossible d'utiliser l'application. Elle refuse de démarrer.Version: 2.0.2

Very erratic for hikingWish I could give it more stars. I've used it about a month for hiking and running When it works it works well. I did a side by side comparison with my Garmin Oregon 300t. Those two times (one hike and one run) it had nearly identical results to the GPS. However the last two hikes I've done got bizarre results. The runs have been pretty good with only one out of 8 or so being really off. My suspicion is that it works better for faster activities like cycling. I'll probably give up on it. Too bad. It seems like nearly a great app..Version: 2.2

Worth 99c but has some issuesPros: easy to use, nice display, has had no issues tracking my route, the history info is nice for comparison purposes, no issues with battery life (I only turn in the display periodically), cheap! Cons: calorie counter doesn't work for me (yes I've entered my weight already), the fastest pace is extremely inaccurate which makes me question the accuracy of everything else.Version: 2.3

Was good. Now no longer tracks whole journeyI used to rave about this app to like-minded friends. However, the last 5 or 6 times I have used this app to track my activities it has failed to track my entire journey. No apparent reason for the malfunction. Since ios5 update on my phone it has become unreliable. I will be looking elsewhere for a decent tracker..Version: 2.2.2

Stopped workingThis app was great but now it doesn't work most of my bike rides. As soon as I press the red stop button at end of ride, all data disappears and I'm left with blank white screen. Can. OT retrieve missing trip data at all.Version: 2.3

Could be better.Bit 'buggy' this app, I find it a bit hit and miss if it wants to record your journey or not and when it does, it's wrong! For example, I went for an 11 mile ride, 6 miles of which I was stuck at the same speed according to this app. Conflicting to my on board bike computer. Also, a pause option would be good, if you stop for lunch you have to keep the app recording, which we all know kills the iPhone battery. Oh, and i couldn't listen to music whilst it was recording. Nice idea, but needs serious work..Version: 0

PSo far I hate it. I have not been able to figure out how to delete the Japanese e.g. I have not been able to isolate the two events I did and I am trying to figure how to make my events show me were I was and where I went. as well it will not let me send this review. Bob Livsey.Version: 2.3

Latest update has problemsI loved this app, but the latest update has operational problems. I.e. When pauses due to inactivity needs to be manually restarted, elapsed time continues to run from previous activity so ended up with 55 hours. Was better before last update. Please fix as I really enjoyed using it before.Version: 2.2.2

Very good, but don't call it "free"This is a very good app, it gives you a lot of data on your activities and seems to be extremely accurate. I like the pause feature, you can check your distance in the middle of a run without recording stopped time. But next time be clear that the app costs 99 cents up front!! I went to use it on my second run, and had to stand there on the track in the rain filling in my purchase and credit card info!! Don't call it free if it isn't! Mostly because of this, I am giving it fewer stars and I prefer mytracks for my old droid..Version: 2.3

Constantly crashesStill crashing with new update, very frustrating. And totally useless when hiking out of service area. Disappointing as the dashboard and features are otherwise great..Version: 2.3.1

Nice App some issues though....I do like this application it is very well put together both functionally and asthetically. However, if you start a recording and recieve a call, or drop out to say send a text, it annoyingly quits the trip and you have to start again. This needs to be fixed before I'll start using this in anger because I don't want to be 3 hours into receding a workout and then take a call to find that i can't resume my trip. Fix that and it's five stars, as it is i can't recommend..Version: 0

Was free for live trackNice app. Easy to use. First use of the app was back in 2012, Live Track was free back then. Made it nice for my wife to see when I was when riding my bike or running. Guess I didn’t notice the update for when they wanted money to use the Live Track. 👎🏻.Version: 5.3.9
