✓ Still needs workThe app needs a simpler method to backup recipes. Adding recipes takes a lot of time. Twice my Recipe Manager Serving Sizer entrees have been wiped out. ✓ Just okayThis app is just okay because it is time consuming to insert ingredients into the ingredients section. Each has to be typed by hand, no copying and pasting here. Yes, you can copy and paste them into the directions section, but if you want to put them where they belong, typing every single one is required. Even scrolling through their list of ingredients to input with a single tap usually requires creating a new ingredient to the list by adding descriptive words to the ingredient list by typing in words like, "diced, or ,"chopped". And this is required for every ingredient that has a description with it..Version: 1.5.0

✓ Dont waste your moneyStupidly hard and complicated to use. The ingredient addition system is clunky and the conversions to metric dont work properly, everything ends up in mls which obviously doesnt work. Swing and a miss. I much prefer recipe box..Version: 1.2.5

✓ Almost PerfectI LOVE the idea of this app. I've been looking for something just like it for my mac book air. My only issues are that typing and searching for ingredients is tedious. If only the process of inputting everything was easier. Maybe if this was available on my Mac or a pic version, that problem may resolve itself. Again, love the idea! ✓ Chefs useIt's quite an ok programme that could be better if you could import the recipes dactyl onto the cards. I run a catering business and we have our own menu but typing all the info into the cards is quite time consuming. However there should be a share feature so that you can share the recipe with friends using recipe manger and they can easily import. Also there does not appear to be a back up feature. ✓ Needs improvingI would really like to give this app a five star rating compared to other recipe apps, but they really need to fix how the ingredients are put in! Either just allow us to input each ourselves (which would be much faster!) and get rid of the list you have, or allow instructions for ingredients and allow size of can (etc)! ✓ IPhone supported appI love using recipe manager, great app! One problem: I wanted the app for my iPhone since my phone is always with me. I was advised to use your Serving Sizer w/Recipe Manager for the iPhone. I added this a few years ago with your advise and imported all my recipes off my iPad. When I did this, my recipes were not in alphabetical order on serving sizer for my phone. It took me forever to put them in order so I could find my recipes. There is no search module, making this app pretty useless unless you take the time to put them in order. My iPad is where I add all my new recipes so it would be the “main” app which you also advised. Since I have not added any new recipes on my phone for a few years, I asked my husband to back up my iPad and then import my recipes into my phone so they would all be current. They imported fine, I think, but now they are all out of order again. I have 225 recipes. I am so disappointed that this app (serving sizer for iPhone) has not been updated. Can you please help me so that I don’t spend hours putting them back in order and to make sure that all the recipes did import?.Version: 2.0.1

✓ So SoI have a couple of version of recipe software from different companies. This is the most difficult one to use. Ingredient side does not line up with the direction side. When using there ingredient section many ingredients are not in their list and, it is difficult to add them to the list. System is much to time consuming to add recipes so I don't recommend it..Version: 2.0.0

✓ Terrible!I've tried using this app several times now before reviewing it and it's always an exercise in frustration. It's clunky to use, and entering recipes is time-consuming and challenging as you fight with interface. I keep hoping it'll become easier with subsequent uses, but I always end up randomly stabbing on multiple buttons before I can make it do what I want. Although it states it deals in metric measurements (which is why I bought it) it really can't. If I enter an amount in teaspoons or tablespoons or cups, for example, it automatically coverts this to millilitres, and there seems no way to switch this feature off. Even more frustrating, although I've selected the "metric" option, it converts cups to a 235ml cup (ie: an American sized cup, not a metric cup, which is 250ml) so all my recipes are not only showing an inconvenient ml measure instead of cups or teaspoons, but they're now showing the wrong amount. I don't know who the reviewers are on the app details page: I don't get the feeling they've actually used the app at all. A complete and utter waste of money..Version: 1.4.4

✓ Needs a few updatesHas a great look and easy to use but would like a few changes made. when adding ingredients in tablespoons and teaspoons stop converting them to 14ml or 4 ml. I have no idea what they are when i use recipe especially if i have to use 1/2 or 1/4 amounts etc. I would also like to see a section where in ingredients you can choose if its diced, julienne, chopped etc. will give 5 stars if these are changed..Version: 1.4.4

✓ Not badIt’s a pretty good app, but there are some shortcomings. Some improvements would be in order. PROS - All recipes are in one place and organized 😊 - I like to copy recipes from Facebook, but I just paste the whole thing under the Directions — too time consuming to pick quantities and ingredients from the left side of the screen. 😞 - You can access your recipes without Wifi😃 CONS - It’s very cumbersome and time consuming if you’re typing in a recipe from scratch, entering all the quantities and ingredients on the left side of the screen.☹️ - Once a recipe is in Recipe Manager, you can’t copy the text and paste it into another app (such as a text msg or Messenger) — used to be able to, but not any more ☹️. You can only Email it from Recipe Manager. - If you get a new IPad, the saved recipes don’t transfer across to the new device… so you have to somehow save your recipes (possibly email them to yourself) and start all over again☹️..Version: 2.0.1
✓ Made one and a half entries then removedI tried to find a video of how to enter information and that should have been my clue. I finally entered one recipe and was almost finished with the second when I got kicked out of the program. ✓ Copy and paste?I was looking google food receipt, for 4 hours over a few 100ths I copy but it want paste , does not recognize the way receipts are written, looks like you have to type them in yourself, which is a time consuming work. ✓ Doesn't workI never pay for apps. However, I was looking for an app to organize all of the recipes that I have saved from websites. Currently, I have a ton of them bookmarked and it's hard to find what I'm looking for. I bought this app because it had good reviews and it was exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately, out of the first 10 recipes I tried to import only 1 would work. It just keeps saying that the format is not supported. I finally gave up. ✓ Useful but has become outdatedGreat app for having recipes always available. Easy to share recipes, but not easy to import recipes from another user. Recommendations to developer: 1. Allow all storage to be in the cloud and automatically sync between devices aka photos. 2. Allow users to transfer a recipe via email or message and then be imported without typing into receiving device. 3. Make app available for iPhone. I frequently do not have my iPad with me but I am never without my phone. Updated 11 Feb 2021: This app has become increasingly out dated. The failure of the app to store data in iCloud and allow automatic interchange of data between platforms. The creator’s comment that they have another iPhone app and data can be copied manually just doesn't cut it. If you haven’t bought this app and invested years if time adding recipes, then don’t waste your time on this outdated and limited app. Look elswhere. 4 October 2022: When importing recipes, this app frequently puts several of the recipe items into the directions. If I had not been using and adding recipes to this app for over ten years, I would ditch it..Version: 2.0.1
