Learn Muscles: Anatomy for Positive User Reviews

Great app! What I really like about this app is the Quiz yourself tool. It offers different methods of quizzing yourself such as identifying the muscle and spelling it out, word banks, insertion, place of origin etc. the reason I give this app a 4star is because the app doesn't allow you to get quized on functions and name spelling simultaneously.. It Would also be nice if users could pick and choose which specific muscles to get quizzed on.. Other than that, i would highly recommend this app for an anatomy student.Version: 3.1

Amazing app!!!!I have never written a review for an app but I was really drawn to write one for this! I was blown away by the content of this app for £1.99. I've been struggling to learn about muscles for my ITEC exam and this is an absolutely brilliant tool to help me. Thank you!.Version: 2.1

RmtAs a professional its great as a quick review of muscles. It would have been great for me as a massage therapy student..Version: 2.1

MissFantastic app!I am studying massage and needed some help with muscles, their name, origin, movement.I found this app and I think it is awesome,I could not have found a better one!it teaches u everything u need to know, shows u all the details u need to see, even in the move! The video is the best,I love it!.Version: 2.0

Muscles quizReally helpfull... I just wish the quiz could be harder.Version: 2.1

I LOVE IT!!!I absolutely love this app! Its so much more in depth than some of the others and i really enjoy all of the videos! There are upgrades that you can buy that give you a 3D model, you can click on which part of the body you would like to view muscles on, and one of my favorite things about this app is that it pronuciates the muscles for you! It also tells you functions and deffintions and allows you to write your own notes:) i am in love with this app!.Version: 2.1

Outstanding anatomy appReally helped during the semester and still useful afterwards. Highly recommended.Version: 2.1.2

Excellent app period! This is one of the most effective apps/tools I've ever purchased. It allowed me to understand by body and how it works with illustrations, movies and notes. Very easy to use and worth every cent. I've had a lower back pain and for the life of me could not explain to the doctor what was causing it until I got this app. Now I can explain with the proper language and with an image in my mind confidently to my doctor where my pain is coming from. Thanks..Version: 2.1

SuperbThis is an ideal app for anyone sitting anatomy exams up to degree level. Detailed drawings, easy navigation, quick tests and additional info such as origin, insertion, and nerve supply make it ideal. Wish I had it when I was in uni!.Version: 2.0

Working now - thank you!Version 6.5 seems to have fixed the bugs in Version 6. Much better. Thank you! This is a great reference and learning app! Thank you for fixing it!.Version: 6.5

MExcellent tool highly recommend for anyone struggling to get their head around functional anatomy..Version: 2.1

Fantastic !!!!!!Doing my personal training course and this app has helped me loads to learn when I don't have my books handy and is is far more interesting than books so yes it is very good !.Version: 2.1

WonderfulReally teaches you about the muscles, only one thing, would be great to know symptoms when a muscle is pulled or damaged in movement and how to correct - maybe in the next update or new App altogether. Well done to the team..Version: 0

Great, great app!!!!This is the fist app I had purchased. It is absolutely worth every penny! It is very detailed, it verbalizes the name of the muscle, which I find very helpful. I honestly didn't expect too much but have been blown away with all the function, images and information. The only thing I wish I could do is eliminate the hands and feet from the quizzes, just because I am not focused on them and don't use them. I would recommend this app to anyone!!!! Great job!!!!.Version: 2.1

Trouble with appI’m having trouble with this app some of the muscles are back the front. I’m not sure if it’s a bug on my phone or the app is faulty..Version: 6

So much easier than recommended app I triedI just started using this because the previous app I tried did not categorize the actions & was really difficult to follow and each time you would have to individually look up each muscle. This is 10 x better & makes for faster comprehension!!.Version: 9.2

Really comprehensiveGreat app really comprehensive and easy to use..Version: 2.1.1

FantasticFinal year Physio student and this app is fantastic for quickly double checking info on muscles. Clear and very easy to use, all the facts you could need..Version: 2.1

Stress relieverAwesome for exam and general review, also helps to explain and describe muscles to other people who don't quite get it..Version: 2.1

Worth it!Finding this app really easy to use & helpful!! The only thing I would like to see change is the test questions. Once you have done the quiz a few times you know it! All in all great!.Version: 2.0

AmazingThis app is great. It will help you learn anatomy. It's quiz setting is a great help. It will take a lot of time to learn it all. But it's worth it and this will help. But you have to be willing to put the time in..Version: 2.1.2

Great App!The quizz part is great, I would like more videos explaining where the muscles originate and insert. The really tips like the GOGO mnemonic was really handy. Those sort of things are invaluable. I'm studying TCM and found this app a useful guide for my anatomy exams!.Version: 2.1

Invaluable learning toolWith excellent introductory videos and beautifully illustrated quizzes, this app is fantastic value for the budding or current medical or nursing student..Version: 0

RealBodyworkOne of the best apps for learning on I'm doing a course for Bowen Therapy and it has been such a big help, it has saved me carrying all my different books on anatomy ... Thank you.Version: 2.1

GreatGreat for a personal trainer.Version: 2.1

Great just wish bones were includedBrilliant app . Helped me thought posture and ergonomics at uni .. Would recommend to students struggling with academic terminology of muscles and attachments ..Version: 2.1

Anatomy appThis is the best app for students learning A&P, I've bought several and this is the most interactive, with lessons and various tests. It's great..Version: 2.1.2

NiceFor those stating inaccuracies of the iliacus and psoas - the app is correct. The psoas originates from T12 - L5 Vertebral bodies and discs, the iliacus from the iliac fossa. Both extend inferiorly, travelling under the inguinal ligament and OVER the pubic bone. As the iliopsoas they insert on the lesser trochanter of the femur. Only gave 4/5 because the app lacked specific vertebral and rib numbering for the erector spinae insertions/origins. Also did not indicate side of rotation (ipsilateral/contralateral) in respect to erector spinae muscles. Add these in and you have a perfect muscle anatomy app..Version: 2.1

RmtYour muscles app is awesome. I'm having to challenge an exam with no prep material available. And I don't think I'd have the cofidence with out it.Version: 2.1

Great for kinesiology studentsI'm a kine major and I just wish I had this study tool while I was taking my anatomy course! Very helpful for students or anyone who has interest in human anatomy! Highly recommended!.Version: 2.1

Super easy to navigateBeen very helpful in my educational pursuits in the fitness industry..Version: 3.1

Using as a refresher, very good!Very good.Version: 2.1

Very helpful app!I’ve been using this app to help me memorize muscle origins and insertions for massage school. It has been very helpful for the low price. ~Amber.Version: 9.4

Very helpfulExcellent app to help learn muscles for A &P. It would be even better if some of the muscle groups were broken down into smaller groups. Still great, though..Version: 3.1

BrilliantThis app is absolutely brilliant. Is making it so much easier to learn the muscles and retain the information. You can set the quiz questions to different catagories ie name, insertion etc. A real must have app for anyone interested in or needing to learn about the muscles..Version: 2.1

Excellent appLoved it very educational.Version: 7.0

ProblemWhen reviewing the body, I tap the swivel button and the screen goes black. I tap it again and it shows the posterior for a second before going black again. I've tried the following: deleting and reinstalling; redownloading and installing the fresh copy. But nothing has worked. Please help!!! Anyone else have this problem?.Version: 2.0

Certified personal trainer, certified senior specialistI have found very helpful in reviewing different muscles groups with clients..Version: 6.7

Great educational toolAs a kinesiology student this app has proved valuable as a reference tool for my studying. The quizzes are pretty basic, but still a great way to keep my anatomy knowledge fresh. Overall a very good app!.Version: 2.1.2

Great but...I love this app for its images, assistance in pronunciation and test features but it's missing all the pelvic floor muscles which as a Pilates instruction student is key. I'd love an update with these muscles included then I'd happily rate it a 5..Version: 2.1.2

Muscles reviewGood diagrams and easy to orientate around the body. The only issue is it shows origins and not insertions. However this is included in the description section. This is also good for revision as it has the nervous supply to each muscle group as well as actions. A good app for anyone involved in musculoskeletal medicine.Version: 2.1

Brilliant =))I am a first year medical student, and this app has helped me no end in studying for anatomy exams, as well as providing useful extra reading.. I would seriously recommend it to anybody with an interest in this field =)) xxx.Version: 2.1

Very goodThis app is very good for learning and reviewing human muscular anatomy. Just what I was looking for, at an inexpensive price as a back up to my textbook. The quiz feature helps to keep things interesting. No problem with it crashing..Version: 5

Well worth the moneyThis app helped me to prepare for a high level dance anatomy exam and really tied up a few loose ends for me. It was good to see the muscles in action and the videos were helpful too as an overview. Very good revision tool and well worth getting for anyone interested in the muscular system..Version: 2.1

Anatomy appBrilliant! Easy to use with clear information and excellent graphics to get a real feeling of bones, muscles, etc. Very handy app to have on clinical placement if you are a Physio student..Version: 2.0

MusclesThe best program with life like anatomy and so helpful if you have a muscle imbalance.Version: 1.2

GreatI'm currently studying to become a personal trainer, this app has been a really helpful tool alongside my books..Version: 2.1

Impressive but with some mistakesI don't think I've been more satisfied with a paid app! Videos are great, images and information succinct and clear. I'm only disappointed by some incorrect information, such as the nerve Innervation for the lumbricals in the hand being the lateral sacral nerve. It leaves you less than confident with the rest of the material..Version: 0

BrilliantThis app took me from panic made to knowing most of the lower limb muscles names in 24 hrs. Now working on action origin and insertions all the information is on the app. Only thing I could say is that as a pod student I would like all the muscles in the foot. Brilliant all the same.Version: 2.1.2

It’s great so farI’ve only been using this app for a couple of weeks and I really love it so far... it’s really helping me learn anatomy which has been a huge challenge for me but it has all the important things I need to know... simple to use and just the right amount of info that it’s overwhelming....Version: 9

Amaxing AppThis app is phenomenal. I wish I had it going through massage school! It is so thorough and offers so many different ways to become familiar with the muscles. I suppose that when I was in school, it did help me to manually write out actions, etc., for each muscle, but I'm visual and kinesthetic. Having this in my pocket all the time would have been incredibly useful. I HIGHLY recommend this app. I'm 10 years into my career, but this is great for a refresher and fills in all gaps in my muscular knowledge..Version: 2.1

Great!A very useful app to have as a quick reference tool! I am a physiotherapy student and I highly recommend this app to all health students! Quick and easy to use, and full of useful additional information. The quizzes are also very good! A great app!.Version: 0

Doesn't get much betterIf you want to know muscles this app brings it on. Nice one!.Version: 0

Useful study toolDoing an in depth anatomy course (compared to my previous studies) and it is a great tool to study on the fly with. The images are clean and easy to see and understand, the quizzes work great for rapid review, and having all of the origins, insertion, innervation, and action notes is wonderful. Thanks..Version: 3.1

Helpful muscle toolI am studying level 3 anatomy and physiology and was finding learning of the muscles really difficult. This app really has made a difference to my knowledge and helped me get ready for my exam today.Version: 3.1

Wow, about timeGreat app gem here, all the others are time wasters. Very user friendly, covers the groups a PT student needs to cover and a great way to learn and test your knowledge without having to buy or carry text books. I give it four stars..Version: 1.2

Quite useful appThe origin and insertion of Splenius cervicis should be spinous processes of T3-T6 and transverse processes of C1-C3 respectively..Version: 4

Awesome! Well done!I stumbled across this app and it the best I've found so far! I have shared it with many others doing studies and they are also impressed. A great portable way to study or just to revise no matter where you are. A+++.Version: 2.1.2

Perfect for quick referenceI am a massage teacher and I use and recommend this Ap because it’s perfect when you want to check something quickly, whether it’s pronunciation, origin, insertion or actions. I have used it for years and I have never had a problem. Now it has more features, which is great, but even better is that it’s still a quick reference..Version: 8.0

Awwwwsome!!Love it.Version: 2.1

Simply amazing!Great app for therapist. Presentation is top-notch as in other Real Bodywork apps. Great deal for 3$..Version: 0

Muscles appI love the graphics with this app - it makes it very easy to see where and how the muscle fits in perspective to the other muscles around it!.Version: 2.0

Bug fix issuesGreat job on the app! Although the latest bug fix on Feb. 13th 2020 messed up the quiz portion of the app. Now the bottom bar if you touch it to answer the question it does not work. Please fix otherwise love the app.Version: 9.2

Great App! 1 annoying glitchI need to review my muscles for a massage license exam and this program works well for this. Especially the quiz part. The annoying thing is that if you start a quiz, then exit the program and return again you'll find that there is an extra black bar at the top of the screen which pushes the image about a cm down. This cuts off a small portion of the image at the bottom and also cuts off part of the bottom button for the answer..Version: 2.1

Very usefulFor a complete beginner, the quiz mode and videos are a great way to learn through recognition, over and over. Love it. It could still be better if it was more interactive and you could view the other muscles, origins and insertions and the bones in the near vicinity to the one you are looking at, but this is still the best I've seen..Version: 2.1

Very helpful and handyI can study anywhere I go, this is great😀.Version: 9.3

Great App!Wonderful for massage therapy students. Actions of each muscle are very helpful. Wish I found this months ago!.Version: 2.1

Great for learningOne problem, multiple choice for 'functions' needs to have believable options. Sometimes it will show you a bicep, and the options are 'elevates the toe' 'rotates the hip' etc. so you know the only one related to the arm must be right. Needs to be smarter..Version: 0

Great App!Awesome app, super helpful for studying purposes. I'm in an human anatomy and physiology course and it's great for muscular memorization..Version: 3.1

AnatomyThis app is brilliant. Helped me immensely to get the acquired information needed. I would like to say that a section with labelled n detailed drawings would be appreciated also, but on top of that, brilliant.Version: 2.1

A great app!Ive tried a bunch of anatomy apps and this is definitely the strongest yet. Looking forward to what else this company might bring out. How about one for the organs?.Version: 2.0

The best app I own, hands down.I use this for revision as a sports therapist, and when I was studying. Now I am qualified I use it to explain things to clients and also double check my own thought process. The last upgrade ironed out all the little problems I had with the app and now it's just great!.Version: 2.1.2

Great ReferenceThe app is exactly what it says it is and it's put together well. Easy to navigate and the graphics are great. More 3D models would be great though! Not sure the extra $.99 is worth it for the 3D models..Version: 2.1.2

Superhuman Personal trainingI love this app, but it does lack detail and a few muscles are layed out incorrect such as the psoas major and a few others, otherwise and very good program to ise for demonstrations on my tablet for my clients :).Version: 2.1

MusclesA superb app. Explains and shows muscle actions, connections points and loads more. Visual detail of what you will cover in a Level 2 gym course. Great for anyone with an interest in muscles for gym work or general wellbeing..Version: 2.1

GreatGood to view and understand the parts of the body..Version: 2.1.2

Review of appI enjoy using this app for my business..Version: 2.1.2

Muscle appAs a human being and a massage therapist I lead a very busy life and cannot hold all the muscle information in my head especially the ones that I don't treat on a regular basis. This is where this app comes in so handy I use it to jog my memory when I am out and about with clients. I have also used it when teaching massage at the local college which means I don't have to carry loads of books with me. Great app worth the money. S Griffith.Version: 2.1

Well done, but..I want more videooos!!! They are just fantastic! I'm a first year medical student and I find it really really helpful! More videos will certainly be very much appreciated!!.Version: 1.2

Muscles made easy!Thank you for the quizzes! Makes it fun to learn😊!.Version: 9.3

MrWhat a super perfect awesome app. I'm studying fitness training now and this app fills the gap of what my coaches didn't tell us or presume what we have already known of. Love the videos and I want to watch more!!! And the pronunciation feature helps me heaps! Thanks for the efforts and look forward to seeing more apps from this guy. By the way what a bargain! Well done!.Version: 2.0

Best anatomy app everThis is the most user friendly, anatomically correct and visually correct app I’ve found out there. I love the animation and option for notes on each mms as well as the apps ability to provide the approapriate pronunciations. Smart.Version: 9.4

Great appGood study guides. Easy to see and use.Version: 2.1

Very educational made wellReally helped on my reps levle 2 test although could go into more detail with origin and insertion by using the model and possibly do a model for the bones what the muscles attach to overall excellent.Version: 2.1

Worth the buy.Great app, easy to use. Does lack some detail if you do want in-depth knowledge. Compared to other muscle related apps, it ranks high..Version: 2.0

Kinesiology studentI wish I had this app sooner, so good for learning the muscle names and getting my head around movement terms.Version: 2.1

Worth itCould definitely have some improvements to the overall app like making the quizzes more difficult or showing nerve and blood supply. Would also be cool to see an action for every muscle via video. Still worth the money and much more convenient than opening a textbook..Version: 2.1.2

FantasticI am a second year medical student using this app to help with the anatomy side of my course and I have never been so prepared for exams. This app is perfect for bus stop memory learning and you will quickly know all the muscles without fail!.Version: 2.1.2

No audioGood so far, just no audio for the pronunciations :(.Version: 7.0

Love this appThe quiz maker is so helpful to learn the anatomy that is relevant to my current class. Could be without it..Version: 3.1

AmazingBest anatomy app I have come across! Great quizzes and options and is even better on an iPad!.Version: 2.1.2

Love itI am a massage therapist. It is awesome to review Names, muscles and location..Version: 9.3

Excellent intro for beginners!I recently qualified as a yoga teacher and I've been using this app to help me with my teaching. It is very clear and useful. Especially the videos are a great introduction for beginners to anatomy. The names, insertion points and uses of the muscles are all explained really well..Version: 2.1

Good but room for improvementAs a first year medical student this is pretty helpful when it comes to revising, so much more fun than using a textbook. However the userface could be a bit better, it would be more useful to have more interactive diagrams as opposed to just image slides of the individual muscles, so you could click on a muscle to reveal its name! But for the price it's decent enough, not quite detailed enough but oh well, it's helped me!.Version: 2.1

Brilliant for allThere's a simple reason why this has constant 5stars. It's brilliant. Simple to use and makes learning easy. Nice one. Thanks (if only I could find similar apps for nerves, tendons, ligaments etc . . .).Version: 2.1

Handy to haveBest app for uni to quickly recall info without having to Cary around a 5 kg textbook must have.Version: 2.0

Needs update for problemBig quiz has faults with scoring system. Small quiz has minor faults also. Update these issues and 5 star rating as overall excellent information provides.Version: 0

RmtGreat for review.Version: 2.1

Great Refresher and ReferenceAs a massage practitioner, this has been a great reference tool. I appreciate the quizzes, which provide a great refresher for anytime I have a few spare moments..Version: 2.1

Great! This app is a great means of learning & refreshing details of muscles. A couple of minor inaccuracies but I'm sure these will be fixed in next version..Version: 2.1.2

Nice app!Helpful and easy to use. The 3D, rotational images make it easy to understand the function and origin of each muscle. As a personal trainer this app is great for review and reference. Thank you!.Version: 7.0

Great AppI've downloaded a few apps / this one has been the best by far. I'm a personal trainer - very handy! :).Version: 2.1

AudioAudio doesn’t work at all and as others mentioned there is trouble to understand from and back.Version: 6.7

Good portable referenceI use it often as a reference when I compose the training programs for my clients. Is a practical and complete-enough reference application..Version: 2.1.1

Très bien...mais...Très bien fait, mais est ce possible de l'avoir en FRANÇAIS ?.Version: 2.1

Audio helpMy audio isn’t working!.Version: 9.3

Best Anatomy for StudentsI love this app. I am studying Physiotherapy at University and this app has helped me immensely. I've tried many other similar apps, but this app beats them all. Please continue developing the software and adding additional features. I'd love the ability to do some of the quizzes in reverse (e.g. Be told the origin and insertion points and have to select from a range of muscles).Version: 2.1.2

Muscles appBest app I've ever seen and so detailed, if only thing to change then I'd say it would be the overview screen just goes black and get nothing five star from me..Version: 2.1

Very helpful👍💃.Version: 2.1

Incredibly helpful appAs a massage therapist I find the app useful for quizzing myself to retain my anatomy knowledge, and when my brain closes off momentarily I use this app to fill out my client files if I've forgotten the name of any muscles. Incredibly useful I LOVE this app!.Version: 2.0

FantasticThis is a great app! Highly recommend if you are a student studying anatomy this app is well worth it!.Version: 2.1

The BestI have several different apps for my anatomy & physiology degree, but this one is by far the best. It covers everything for me 😍.Version: 2.1.2

Muscle'sJust completed Swedish massage diploma, used this app on my phone while working out, confirming, learning muscles, origins, insertions at same time, really helped. Highly recommend..Version: 1.2

Muscles by Real BodyworksI teach massage and physical therapist's and this app is so helpful as a reference tool. Beautiful graphics, and everything a therapist wants to know while studying. It's also perfect for sharing with clients while explaining why a muscle is causing them pain..Version: 9.4

SuggestionGood App but make it optional to have the quiz card flip away from the picture automatically, as well as displaying the muscle name when doing a non-naming quiz.Version: 2.1

Great appDoing biomed and i've been waiting for ages for affordable anatomy app. Really great for studying on the go and quick referencing..Version: 2.0

Fantastic! So much better than using study books, makes total sense when seeing in 3D. This app is very user friendly and the quiz allows me to assess what I have learnt and what I need to swot up on. Perfect study tool, will definitely be getting other apps by this developer in the series. Thank you!.Version: 2.1

Chiropractic studentI like the app a lot, especially the movement videos. Only one suggestion: the multiple choice options should be harder for the quiz questions. The answer shouldn't be so obvious. Maybe put a couple of muscles that are actually close to the muscle in question so you actually have to know which muscles are which in that area..Version: 2.0

Great toolApp works great!!! Good detail, easy to use!!.Version: 2.1

Good reference toolGood, easy to use app. Like the quiz feature, good refresher..Version: 2.1

App ReviewThis App was recommended off the AIF website, it's been such a help in studying Muscles, Muscle Movement for my course. Recommended for anyone who needs or wants to get into the Fitness Industry..Version: 2.1.2

Fantastic!I got this app to find out what muscles i have. As i have been diagnosed with osteoarthritis on my hip i have to concentrate on stretching and strengthening muscles. Strangely enough pain moves around within a hip and i have so far found out that it really depends on where weaker muscles are (more pain in that area). It is a fantastic app for someone who knows nothing about medicine but is well into sports. Only downside is, couple of images i have found a bit confusing, but after a short investigation you'll find out exactly where what is..Version: 2.1

ExcellentEasy to use.Version: 2.1

Wonderful app!!As RMT student, it's really good reference app for on the go!!.Version: 2.1

Excellent appI use this almost daily, it’s very thorough and I’m consistently getting better at knowing the muscles in the body. I’ve had a few issues pop up and just recently the videos wouldn’t play but instead rushing to give a bad review I wrote to body work and they fixed problem quite quickly. Very satisfied..Version: 8.0

Awesome!Iv learnt so much allready. Great tool that i refer to all the time. Love the interesting info tab for each muscle too. Brilliant App. Thanks Real Bodywork..Version: 2.1.2

Muscles of human bodyExcellent very educational.Version: 2.1

Great appGreat app- very useful... However in quiz when specifying the muscle you are asked it's very general- you can just tap in the general area of the muscle and not have to be precise, and get the answer right. Would be better if more specific. Otherwise great app.Version: 2.0

Great app but needs one thingThe app is great, it needs the option to select the muscles that we're getting quizzed on though for the quizzes. Also, maybe we could input\select the muscles that we need to know so that even on the diagrams it only highlights those muscles. Also, there should be another quiz option, a spelling one. On my lab exams we have to know how to spell 100% or it's a 0. I'm sure other people have to spell it 100% or pretty close too, so maybe including that option would be magnificent. But other than that, awesome app :) thanks..Version: 2.0

MusclesGreat app for learning and checking muscles! Would be improved by adding a quiz option for innervation. Fantastic pictures and easy to use, like the favourites feature..Version: 2.1.2

Fantastic!I've bought quite a few apps on iTunes for all sorts of stuff, and this is the first time I have been genuinely astonished at the quality and value for money. If you want to learn about muscle anatomy, as a medical student or just out of interest, I couldn't recommend this more highly..Version: 0

Best way to studyThis app is amazing. I used it to study for my grade 12 exercise science anatomy exam and got the highest mark in the class. Fun and effective. I would highly recommend it..Version: 2.1.2

Audio Pronunciation Doesn’t WorkThe app is great, lots of detail and the quizzes are exactly what I was looking for. But the audio pronunciation doesn’t work, so that’s disappointing because it’s one of the reasons I purchased it..Version: 6.7

Great app!Great app! I am studying to be a PT and it's so much better than my textbooks! Pronunciation helps heaps! More videos though, please (as they were the best part)!.Version: 1.2
