✓ Ok game, but buggyMy download seems always to seize up after I've moved, with the computer taking a while to function. This doesn't happen in two player. Also, it might be a petty gripe, but I really dislike how when you've beaten the computer, the game declares it a draw by stalemate. When the computer beats you and puts your king in check, it comes up as a defeat. When you beat it though, the game can't even give you the satisfaction of telling you that you've won. ✓ Mostly good and challenging but buggyWhile the game is mostly quite good and has a good adjustable challenge meter, it is buggy on quite a few occasions. It makes your pieces simply disappear on random occasions without moving any piece of the computer. I guess its more 'humanly' deceitful than one would expect. ✓ Rediculous!Great for beginners playing on the levels below halfway difficulty, but playing the computer above halfway causes it to make illegal moves like moving into check, not allowing you to move when there are no reasons for you not to, reappearing and disappearing pieces, and suddenly ending the game saying the computer has put you in checkmate when I wasn't even in check! I took a piece and it reappeared later in the game out of nowhere! I moved my queen and it was safe, yet disappeared and none of the computer's pieces even moved! One time, I moved my bishop, which was covered by the queen, next to the king and the computer's king captured it! The king moved into check! That is never supposed to happen! ✓ Unfair.The mechanics are all off and the CPU always cheats. When you're in check, you cannot move any other piece than the king. I could have captured the piece that checked my king, but it didn't let me. Also, it gave my king a check mate when I obviously had places where I could be safe. ✓ Some BugsIt's quite a good simple chess app to just play but in terms of learning or understanding the game there are limited to no options. Also I noticed a couple of bugs when games would stalemate yet it was not a true stalemate as other pieces could move and potentially break the stalemate or have the offensive side checkmate. Another bug that happened while I was playing was near the mid/end game I had undone a move to see what piece the computer had taken my bishop with, it was a pawn that had moved four or so spaces diagonally as if it were a bishop and when I replayed the move the pawn turned into a bishop without promoting and the computer now had two white square bishops and won the match... Overall some bugs but generally a nice simple chess game..Version: 1.65
✓ Free version is betterThe AI in this version is terrible. The amount of time it takes to move is beyond frustrating. Sadly the free version of this app this better because the AI doesn't take at least five seconds to move. Also human players can't castle but the AI does it freely. ✓ I want a refund, computer is sore loserI was just moving in for the kill and the computer’s pawn slid 6 squares diagonally across the board and took my white bishop!! What a cheat. Tried hitting ‘undo’ but I really wanted to make my vital move and each time I repeated it the computer did the illegal move. Nasty glitch. Apart from that I was having a good time playing it. 2 things I would like in addition: 1. The levels to have numbers rather than a vague sliding bar of difficulty 2. Poor!Have played this repeatedly and after a random number of games it always quits unexpectedly in the middle of a game, which annoyingly then resets the stats back to zero. ✓ Remove Stalemate!I like this app a lot, but when it is a draw because of stalemate, it ruins the whole app. Today alone, I was literally ONE MOVE away from check mating the Cpu and winning, but it forced ended the game due to stalemate. Again, the Cpu only had one piece, which was the king, and I had several. It forced ended the game due to stalemate. This is some cheat tactic for when I'm about to win, the Cpu ends the game and calls it stalemate, basically. ✓ Major bug?While I was in the middle of playing against a computer, I made the wrong move and my pawn was taken, when I reset the turn, my pawn turned into a queen, although this is an advantage to me, it makes the game slightly less fun as it wasn’t a fair match. Another bug occurred also when playing against a computer, I moved my queen and as the computer was deciding where to go, my queen disappeared 😒 Please fix these bugs as it’s ruining the game!.Version: 1.70
