✓ OPlayer reviewSeems to work fine for me. I use it to play videos (Lick Library guitar videos transferred from PC). Video and sound work fine. Layout is intuitive and appearance is very nice. ✓ Great functionality but a couple of UI gripesI use oPlayer in conjunction with the DS Video app for my Synology DS 213. This is a relatively cheap and pretty app that works seamlessly with my predominantly avi. film library. However, as is often the case with stubby fingers and touch screens, the user requires an interface that is not overly sensitive to even the most delicate of touches. For example: when I touch the screen in order to make the control buttons disappear during video playback, I do not want to skip ahead 20 secs as I accidentally brush my finger 1mm to the left or right when tapping the screen. In summary, great video playback but - especially given the slightly more upmarket price tag, a bit more refinement is needed in terms of usability!.Version: 2.0.12

✓ IOS issues?Been using this player for years, but lately it wouldn’t play anything off the network or would start then crash or spend a lot of time buffering, even for tiny files it didn’t have a problem with previously. There was an issue some months ago with sign in protocols that this player stopped doing correctly, necessitating the use of another app to see the file then having to tell that app to open it in this app, but that issue disappeared after a month or so. Update: a reinstall and redoing all the settings seems to have sorted the playback issues. I currently suspect one of the iOS updates to have caused the issues or possibly that app offloading function..Version: 3.7

✓ Good playback, poor browsing UIIt really plays most video formats, and fairly smoothly too. Since that's the main point of the app, I give it four stars. The ui for browsing for files is less good. The web browser doesn't return to the page you were last on. SMB browsing had a better interface, but you can only download from there, not stream like you can from the browser. I use it to watch tutorials so the ability to rewind back so easily to review points of interest is excellent . Also the controls are easy to operate and well laid out with the ability to leave them visible or hide them while watching a clip . The only thing I would like to see in future upgrades is the ability to drag the video files into a different order . I’ve loaded it up with hundreds of gigabytes of films, videos, clips etc in various formats but mostly mp4s. They all play fine. One problem: I didn’t think the picture-in-picture worked before, but I figured out the problem is with support for iPads without a Home button. The product is confused by the new gesture interface, so PiP mostly doesn’t work. But there’s an easy fix: add a button that indicates explicitly that you want the screen minimized to PiP. ✓ Too many filesI have had this app for quite a while. However over time I have amassed a large amount of videos which are now stored on a remote server that I can’t view because they folder content can’t be listed. Any folder that has more than 12 files in it just hangs and the app has to be restarted. This means I have to keep sorting and moving the files into folders This problem only occurs on upnp services but does replicate on both videos and pictures This is a pity as the app is an excellent one apart from this. iOS 14.4 on the client. ✓ Cause of issue discovered - if only an update could fix please…Just letting you know with your great app that if you watch a video in a fast mode, I.E 1.5 x, 2.0x etc, the audio will gradually walk out of sync with the picture/image. Pausing and a swipe back/rewind and resume play seems to put it back in sync quickly enough. It doesn’t seem to happen on every video though, just some. I only play .mp4 formats. Video Podcasts play fine, some tv shows play without a glitch but others don’t, so I’m just letting you know what I’m experiencing as I won’t be the only one. Thank-You. Regards Colin. ✓ Why there is NO Simple Player Screen for the iPad ?Dear developers, Your app is OK. It does the job I've expected. Unfortunately after the upgrade the SIMPLE PLAYER SCREEN is gone. On the iPhone there is an option to switch to the player screen, as it used to be initially (the previous version)- simple, neat. Will You please, give the same option and for the iPad? I don't want to be boring, but when I watch lectins of anatomy I have to use the pause button frequently. In that case 1/4 of the screen is covered with control area and buttons, scattered all over. In multiple control button usage Your current mandatory control layout is quite annoying. Otherwise everything else is working just fine. Kind Regards. Once you get this, the application is perfect at playing out of the box formats without conversion - I have yet to have an SD format that is supposedly support not play. ✓ Does exactly what I wanted...I got this simply to watch a variety of media files. Some created on my iPad, some recorded on my camera, some made from a compilation of DSLR stills by software on my Windows PC. This plays everything without a single fault. It even picks up my home media player and plays video from there without a hitch. This has been one of, if not the, best app purchases I've made. ✓ Best player on the marketI've tried 3 other players on the app store that claim to play Xvid/avi etc files natively, and this is the only one so far that has played everything presented to it. Not only that, it plays them particularly well! Juddering seems quite minimal & audio/video sync is reasonably good. A little bit more work and we could have THE perfect player!!.Version: 0
✓ O PlayerVery good, plays almost anything my iPad or iPhone can't play, simply by copying them to my device straight into the app. There are a few bugs still, but otherwise, it's a GREAT idea, considering Apple wanted their devices to be so "Individual" in their "IOS" operating system, as to require such a media converter.... ✓ This is a great media player for the iPadI was looking for something that would play movies randomly from my other Mac mini over my network. iTunes music does this but unfortunately doesn't play fullscreen. This was the only player that was able to play fullscreen movies on the iPad in a random order with no hiccups or any kind with extra software needed.
