Quizzes are a JOKE.. But overall not a bad app.I am a doctor of physical therapy student, and looking for an app that could quiz me to keep me fresh. This app has nice graphics, and I like the way that it shows this different muscle groups involved in each movement, But the quizzes could not be more easy. For example they will show the temporalis, and some of the options for action will be extend the pinky or internally rotate the hip.. Come on... Please make the quizzes more difficult, and then this would be a five star app!!!! Or at least have a variable difficulty in the quizzes, cause this app has so much potential!!!.Version: 3.0

Not bad but no joints! This is a reasonable introduction and the animations of joint articulations are helpful, although there are some omissions such as articulations of the Atlanto-occipital joint and full articulations of the hand. Also what is the point of having an introduction to the musculoskeletal system that does not actually highlight or even index the joints themselves? Also some more detail such as types of joints and their range or articulations, and types of muscle action (eccentric, isotonic etc) and the role of synergists, stabilisers, antagonists, planes of movement, and etc would add to the usefulness of this app..Version: 3.0

Helpful but incompleteThe movements which this app shows are very clear and helpful. However, there are some smaller or more specialized movements which are not included. More details please!.Version: 4.1

Could be a lot betterAs a kinesiology student at The University of Tennessee, I was looking to use this app as a study tool. It seriously lacks the detail needed to study from. For the money I thought that I would have gotten a better product. It's only for muscles and bones and not EVERYTHING else so I thought that it would be muscles and bones in high detail, but it's not. I would love to see a nice big upgrade that gave a lot more detail to the bone structures and ligaments, including the small ligaments. I wish I could give it a 5 star but until I see a big improvement. It's not worth buying. Would make a good free app though..Version: 4.0

Pretty good, pretty basicI liked this app bc it only focuses on muscle and bone. As a yoga student, this is what I need to learn. A lot of the more costly apps have a ton of other details that I won't need to learn (organs, nerves, etc). But there are limitations in the app. They don't label the views (e.g., posterior, anterior, etc). This can make it challenging to know what you are looking at. The graphics are lower quality/less detailed than more costly anatomy apps. The quizzes are nice, but just multiple guess (as opposed to fill in the blank). Overall, for those on a budget, this is a good app..Version: 4.1

NiceVery nice app simple and and informative. What would be nice is the ability to zoom in on the model and more information about the muscles and the different groups, great for someone wanting to study fitness and learn the different muscle groups as well as the individuals muscles..Version: 0

Terrible AppDoesn't contain all the muscles! If you were using this to study, and knew it by heart, you would likely only get 70% on a final. Very poor pictures of forearm and hand. They also missed the boat badly on how the iPad can be used to zoom, twist and turn for different angles. Waste of money.Version: 2.1

Disappointed in tutorials and quizI was so excited with this app initially and it does have its good points but there are downsides. I got the app to study for my massage boards. The tutorials are misleading as they state certain muscles cause movements to bones even when the muscle is not attached to that bone. For college level, this does not work for studying. The latissamis dorsi DOES NOT depress the scapula. Just because the scapula moves when adducting the arm does not mean it moves this bone. Secondly in the quiz section it would be nice if they tried to make it hard on some of the questions. For example, when you show me a muscle on the leg and one of the options is about movement of the leg but the other three options are in relation to movement of the hip it is a no brainier and therefor is not challenging at all. I want to have to think about it, not choose the ONLY answer that makes sense for the location..Version: 4.0

Looks good but keeps crashing !!!!!!I downloaded this app yesterday and was very impressed with the outlay as I'm looking at studying anatomy for fitness training and the quiz section would be quite useful. However what appears to let this app down is that it has a tendency to intermittently throw you out of the app as you try to run a video or when trying to return to the menu page, hopefully this will be fixed in a future update,.Version: 0

Great appGreat app for my anatomy and physiology for sports massage level 5 Could do with the different screens locking into place when swiped as sometimes the different views ie skeletal and muscular keep rotating if you swipe screen too hard and is then difficult to see labels of bones muscles if its not exactly locked into place properly Also a zoom feature would be good, I know there's the option of a full screen of muscle but easier to zoom in and out to see comparisons etc..Version: 4.1

Informative and helpful but ....A lot of information and most muscles are there but the user interface is weird and not very usable. It should use standard layers view, not 360 spin to access to the muscle/bones layers. Also, the search tool should offer more filters than alphabetical. Finaly, the graphics are not HD at all..Version: 4.1

LackingGood overall anatomy review. But lacks a lot of muscles. Especially in the forearm and lower leg..Version: 2.1

Waste of moneySave your money and get all the same info on Wikipedia. Just a collection of photos..Version: 0

Always CrashesEvery time I used the movement function it stops and then crashes..Version: 4.1

Love this app - couple suggestions for updatesThis app is very pleasant to use. It's quite informative and appealing. Its a good buy for the money. The images are completely 360 in view, and all muscles and bones seem to be covered in lots of detail, but viewable together or separate - which is nice when you are trying to learn the musculoskeletal systems! Just two suggestions. I would add a layer with the tendons and ligaments to make the learning complete. Also, I would work on the spin effect - sometimes it keeps turning after you remove your finger from the screen instead of locking in place. I look forward to all future updates! A great learning tool! - Nursing Student.Version: 3.0

Why can't I hear the names???I really like this app... But I'm having trouble with the sound. I pick a muscle and tap the sound to hear the name of that muscle and I hear nothing. I want to give this app 5 stars but unless this problem gets fixed I can only give it 3. It would be a really good app if everything worked as it should, I hate to give it a bad review, but just be careful if you want an app that lets you see, read and hear all the muscle names. I really hope they fix this. If they do it's 5 stars..Version: 5.0

ClunkyI find this app to be clunky and not easy to use, but you might🙂.Version: 5.0

LimitedThis app is to limited and is completely worthless for a medical student. For some reason I can’t get a refund, so don’t waste your money..Version: 5.0

Needs all musclesFor a visual learner found the app to be a great tool, however, the app is missing a lot of muscles and would prefer a program to be complete not 70% complete. The quiz is a great addition to the app, but would love answers to be related to muscle in question to be challenging. I personally would like to see improvements to it to make it worth paying for..Version: 3.0

Expected betterThis is not the greatest anatomy app out there. My major complaint is with the quizzes: it seems like the correct answer is the only one of the particular gross anatomy it is located. For example, when a muscle on the forearm appears, it will give you options ranging from the shoulder to leg to back with only one muscle actually located in the forearm- not challenging at all. Also, when isolating a particular muscle, there is no zoom or scroll option on the window, so on some longer muscles the origin and insertion may not be visible. I'd recommend shelling out the extra 10-15$ for a better designed anatomy app..Version: 4.1

Good For ArtistsI'm currently learning the human muscle system for drawing and having a 3D model to rotate is much better than an anatomy book. Choice of gender for model and more definition to the muscle shapes would be a welcome addition, but reasonable value for the price..Version: 0

Over-rated App.I want to start out this review by stating that in theory, this app would be fantastic; in reality however, some egregious flaws diminish the overall value of the app. The muscle cards provide clear descriptions of the action, origin, insertion, and innervation of each of the muscles presented. With that being said, many muscles are omitted from the app, mostly in the foot it seems. Overall, for $7, this app is well worth the money; just bear in mind that some things are not included. As an aspiring physical therapist, this app will be more useful in the future (to show patients their specific pathophysiology), but in studying the muscles now, I may be limited by content of the app. This app has the potential to be fantastic, with a few upgrades to include some of the omitted muscles..Version: 3.0

Good, but not really 3DThis app is fairly well designed and includes most pertinent information, however it also has some short-comings. It is not really 3D per se. The body can be rotated, but labels only show up on the anterior and posterior plane. Also, when a muscle is selected, a 2D image pops up to highlight it. I was hoping for a 3D model that could be rotated with a single muscle highlighted. This is not possible. A good attempt, but I would not pay $7 for it again..Version: 3.0

Totally JuniorReally underwhelming and not what I was after. The interactivity is set at an elementary school level with 2D pictures of joints and muscle groups are only interactive on the most basic level and do not rotate or strip down or do anything especially helpful. Now i'm going to shell out an extra $21 on Muscle Pro 3, which actually does grownup things for grownup practitioners..Version: 3.0

MuscleprpGood for showing basic info to clients but not detailed enough for professional use.Version: 3.0

Below averageNo where near comprehensive enough for medical student use. Neglects to include several key muscles (such as FDP), and does not group muscles into functional groups..Version: 0
