Calcbot 2 for Positive User Reviews

About time! It's about time that this got an update. Though, I am leaving one star off as you want to charge me more to go for the pro version. I already bought this. Why should I pay more to go pro?.Version: 2.0

Pls pls pls updateI just upgraded to ios16. The app keeps crushing when i drag the previous results into current calculations. Love this app, but pls update.Version: 2.5.2

Nice and simpleGood calculator. I think it matches the same functions as the one on the iPhone. Although it is missing the parentheses. The ticker tape is a nice touch. It would be nice to be able to display the entire calculator instead of having to swipe it to get the rest of the functions. Option to remove the tape in landscape mode to accommodate this would be reasonable. I do recommend this app if you're looking for a calculator. Good price too..Version: 2.5.2

Best Calculator AppThis is a calculator you actually want to use. You can switch to the unit converter on any total you have and switch back to the calculator and carry on, it's awesome!.Version: 2.0.1

Randomly Occuring Tape Bug Still Present. Still Amazing AppSometimes when completing an equation (aka when you press the = button), the entry isn’t added to the tape reel. Instead it’s a blank spot. You can kind of get it to show up properly by swipe-deleting a few tape reel entries above the blank one. Which is hardly ideal if you planned on keeping those equations & results around. The bug has been here for y͟͟e͟͟a͟͟r͟͟s now on iPad and iPhone. Other than that, this calculator app is near perfect for my use-case. Which is simple calculations which I convert instantly with the conversion feature (Swipe -> on the result to move to that menu). And the upgrade isn’t super overpriced or subscription locked, which is nice and 𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 appreciated..Version: 2.5.2

Reggaes’ reviewComprehensive. Full of features and effective. Conversion capability excellent..Version: 2.4.4

Brilliant calculatorEasily the best calculator in the app store. The ability to reuse previous expressions and to delete within calculations is extremely helpful. A possible improvement ... Allow users to give a name to various expressions in the history so that we can easily identify a previous calculation amongst the tens or hundreds of calculations completed on a daily basis..Version: 1.1.2

After trying several calculators, I really like callbootMichel.Version: 2.4.4

Love Love This AppLove love this app! I bought it for the I watch primarily. The below reviews are old and the apps works just fine you just change the Iwatch settings in the iPhone app. it is a cost but worth I think. Love bill split conversion, I use it all the time..Version: 2.3.1

Would be the best if...Would be better if you could mute the click sounds.. I want quiet calculations without turning iPad volume down. Thanks, Liam.Version: 2.4.2

Can’t live without itA friend of mine turned me on to Calcbot. This calculator not only allows me to correct my mistakes go back in number and make it right but it keeps a running total and it keeps the history of all my transactions. I can’t imagine having to deal with the regular calculator ever again. Hats off to whoever was smart enough to create this ingenius app.Version: 2.4.2

Simple yet brilliantHaving bought Convertbot and Pastebot I knew this app would have a great combination of simplicity and a superb user interface. It oozes style and trumps the default calculator with the clever history tape function and live expression view. I haven't got an iPad (yet) but making Calcbot a universal app is a great idea. I know the app store has issues regarding paid upgrades (ie: they are impossible), but perhaps the other apps may become universal too? Keep up the great work, can't wait for Tweetbot!.Version: 0

Functionality suddenly gone. And so am I.I’ve used Calcbot for years. I appreciated the ability to use the virtual tape to retrieve previous equation results. Until today when this feature was no longer available—requiring a purchase of the “Pro” version to regain this feature. I thought I had purchased this app but there wasn’t a record of it. So I’m deleting it. I shouldn’t have to suddenly pay for features I’ve used and came to rely in for years..Version: 2.4.2

Tapbot apps rockLike all Tapbot apps, it’s very polished and has useful functionality, whilst being stable and fast.Version: 2.4.2

Just realized I’ve been using this app for yearsI’ve had this app longer than any of my iPhones. I don’t remember a time when I didn’t use it. I use this calculator literally every day of my life without thinking about it. It’s beautifully designed, feature-rich (the ticker tape and conversions are just amazing) and I love the sounds of the keys as I type away. Get this calculator..Version: 2.5.2

BrilliantI didn't think I'd need a different calculated than the standard one but I thought I'd give it a go. It's absolutely beautiful to use with some great features over the standard app. Definitely worth the money..Version: 0

The best calculator i've used so farMarvelous app got everything you need in daily life..Version: 1.1.1

Great calculator appGreat UI..Version: 1.1.3

Probably the Best Calculator AppI've tried many calculator apps, but this app is the one which finally provided all functionalities that I was looking for in a calculator. Nothing more, nothing less!! A great calculator! User interface is intuitive. User experience is par excellence bar none! History feature (tape) is killer! And they just happen to incorporate a very comprehensive unit conversion feature baked in. What else could you ask for. I even tried the App Store award winning Calzy app, but this one beats even Calzy hands down! (okay, Calzy has gestures, which this one doesn't). But other than that, it's a much much better calculator app overall! Can't live without it!.Version: 2.4.4

Tacky Taking Away FeaturesI completely understand creating a pro version, but taking features (history tape) from the free version and requiring us to pay for them in the pro version is just tacky. I’ve used your calculator since it first came out and loved it. Unfortunately, I will now have to try to find another one. Too bad..Version: 2.4.1

Actually love this now!I moaned about the changeover from the last app version, but now I love this! I use it frequently, it has all the conversions you might possible want....Version: 2.3

IPhone XI love this app but ever since you released the iPhone X version of the App it looks horrible on the iPhone X. Please bring back the old look.Version: 2.3

Great but painfully neglectedTo me this is the quintessential iOS calculator that Apple should have made and it has served me well over the years. It comes with all the necessities that we come to expect from a fully featured calculator. However, this now feels like an utterly neglected app that hasn’t seen an update for years…it’s as if the developers have failed to adapt and take advantage of the recent advancements in iOS tech that would further elevate the functionality/utility of the app as a whole.. or perhaps make it more useful than it already is.. RIP Calcbot...Version: 2.5.2

Easily the bestMy favorite calculator app finally updated to fully support the iPad Pro. This great app is beautifully designed...has an app for all of the iOS devices and the Mac and syncs results across them. My only complaint had been that it did not support split screen on the iPad Pro. Well with it’s most recent update it does and with some fresh redesigns to it...this is the calc app to buy...hands down..Version: 2.2

Good, but needs a tweek or two to make it 5 starOn the whole i like the app. the history function and also being able to see your calculations as you go are great and just what the apple app misses compared to an actual scientific calculator. But i do have a few gripes: - as mentioned here already, where are the brackets? - why is the volume of the touch clicks connected to the ringer volume? wouldn't it make more sense for them to bge linked to music volume, or perhaps have seperate volume. I'd like to have them on, but i have the ringer volume set quite high (just a little gripe, but hey!)..Version: 0

Good for NEWER iPhone ModelsThis calculator is great. I love it on my iPhone XR. It’s fast, it has a great design, and most of all, it’s functional. I love the function of this Calculator. It works great in split screen on my iPad Pro. Then I have a friend who also uses it on their iPhone 6s. It’s slower, takes longer to load, and seems to malfunction. I see how it a GREAT app, but for some reason it requires a lot of power..Version: 2.4.4

If it’s slow, try clearing your tape historyI love this app. I use it every day, all day at work, mainly converting metric and US units. It has become integral to my workflow. A while back it got to where the app was crawling compared to when I bought it. I did a little googling and found out that the 2 years worth of saved calculations was causing the slow down. I cleared the tape history and BOOM! Back in business..Version: 2.4

This USED to be my favorite calculator.I really don’t appreciate when app developers take away free features to get you to pay for pro versions This was hands down my favorite calculator for one simply reason, it showed you a history of your calculations. However, with resent updates that feature has been made a pro only feature. I now see no difference between the free version of this and the stock calculator..Version: 2.4.1

Very nice simple calculatorI've purchased a few calculators and like this one a lot. It's not as powerful as pcalc, but it certainly looks better and is great for fast calculations. Recommended.Version: 1.1.1

I love itIt’s a very good calculator, some complain too much about the features you only get when you pay. It’s a measly $2, come on. The only thing I hate about this, it defaults to number 600, every time I use then close it, the next time I launch it there’s 600 on the display instead of 0. But it has history and I can paste delete any number, convert SI units, do whatever I want like on Samsung calculator. I hate iPhone calculator..Version: 2.5.2

Thank you!I loved this app but it became neglected and out dated. Thank you for this update, the best calculator out there!.Version: 2.0

Indispensable!I don’t know what I’d do without it. Super convenient to check measurement equivalents..Version: 2.4.4

A must have for any iPhone userIt has always baffled me. Apple, one if the greatest tech companies of all times, gives it’s iPhone users, the most basic of calculators. A large portion of my architectural work is area calculations for tenant build out or rent configuration of an existing space. Calcbot gives me the tools needed to string together multiple calculations while keeping a visual record of those operations. It is a true calculator. Not a little toy. It cost less than a Starbucks. Go fir the full version..Version: 2.4.4

Removed Features From Free VersionThe history tape used to be in the free version. These jackoffs moved it to the pay version. That’s not a good way to keep users happy. I’ll find a new calculator app that doesn’t take advantage of its users..Version: 2.4.2

I came here to apologiseAll this time I’ve been using this magnificent app and only today – years later – did I realise that the Pro upgrade was only $3. Talk about an insta-purchase. I couldn’t have got $3 of coins out of my pocket that quickly. So, dear developers, I wanted to apologise for not doing this earlier. I am a bad person. People: download this, then buy the upgrade. Don’t be like me..Version: 2.4.4

Beautiful, stunning, perfect.Everything a calculator needs, nothing it doesn't. Pixel-perfect UI and great sounds as expected from a Tapbots application. Just brilliant..Version: 0

Great app but with a small glitchI have used this app for years and I really like it, however I’ve noticed a small glitch that seems to be new. If I do four, five or six calculations and hit the “=“ between each, one of them will not be visible. I hope this can be fixed with an update. Otherwise the app is great!.Version: 2.5.2

Almost perfect. You know a well designed app immediately when you see it. Couldn't imagine that converting units and currencies could actually be an enjoyable experience. Very rich app, quick and easy to use. Any chance of adding widgets? That would make it perfect..Version: 2.5.2

PerfectBought this ages ago, but happy to pay again because this combo/upgrade is perfect. Great work..Version: 2.0

Needs a widget, then it’ll be perfectHas great UI and SFX, saving multiple constants under a single button is fantastic, and a nice currency converter. However, it lacks a widget for quick use, so I still have another calculator app, once that is added it will be the best and cheapest calculator app. For a bonus, it would be nice to choose the value of units to convert, rather than just see how many of 1 of this unit = that unit..Version: 2.4.4

Perfect… except for the button you use mostGreat calculator app + poorly placed equal sign = a modern, feature rich, & customizable calculator with one almost constant nagging design flaw. … First world calculator problems ;) … Pro: + Modern, intuitive flat design + One-time, low price for access (no subscriptions) + Multiple great-looking skins + History tape, favorite numbers, easy corrections + Tons of conversions, constants, and the ability to add custom of both Con: - Equal sign is not in the bottom right! (Every calculator I’ve ever used has the equal sign in the bottom right, except this app… it has the addition operator in that place. Expect to accidentally hit “+” when you mean “=“. The app accounts for this by showing the result after each operation, no need to hit the equal sign, but good luck breaking the habit!).Version: 2.5.2

One annoying bugCalcbot, though great, suffers from the same problem that every calculator app I’ve tried does - the memory buttons (M+, M-) don’t terminate the entry in the same way that the operators do. For example, if you enter a number - say 10 - and press the plus key then enter another number - say 15 - you see 15. If you try the same but use the M+ key instead of the plus, you will see 1015 - the M+ doesn’t terminate the number entry..Version: 2.1.2

Another TapBots masterpieceInfinitely prettier than Apples default app, with the addition of the "paper" that scrolls down. Seems fine to a math noob like me..Version: 0

Still the best calculator on my phoneThank you for making the best calculator app!.Version: 2.5.2

Fantastic graphicsBeautiful calculator app. Awesome on iPad with the old school paper printer..Version: 0

A StapleIt’s probably my favorite calculator app and it shines on the iPad. Split screen support and Slide Over makes it so useful to work alongside other apps and dismiss it when not needed. And no data collection or ads or subscription makes it something I want to support..Version: 2.5.2

BrilliantIt’s about time somebody uploaded a calculator where form follows function. It isn’t the prettiest but it is the best..Version: 2.3.1

It’s good. This is a great little calculator upgrade if you’re so interested. Puts a calculator on your watch (with an easy tip function!) and iPad, gives you a conversion tool, with fun theme and icon customizations if you go Pro for a few bucks. The latter was surprisingly important to me; not a fan of the default icon but the alternative colors are very well done. Tape history synced across devices with iCloud too. Nice. 👌👏.Version: 2.4.2

Great appI use Calcbot all the time when travelling. Super handy for metric / imperial or currency conversion, as well as as a calculator 😊.Version: 2.4.2

Tapbots is luckyTapbots is lucky that Apple doesn’t have a native calculator app on the iPad so they could swoop in and make something as simple, delightful, yet functional as Calcbot for the iPad..Version: 2.3.1

Nice updateBeen waiting for this. Was even using the "stock" calculator as poor old calcbot (and convertbot) looked a bit, erm, askew! Now this purdy calculator does both. Happy to pay for Pro. $2.50 is an absolute no brainier. I could not think of much I can actually buy for that! Australia is becoming a way too expensive country 😉.Version: 2.0

Watch extension removed.I loved this app and it has always been my go-to calc app. I found I was using the watch extension most frequently, but today I notice the watch extension is missing. It’s no longer showing in the Watch app as an available extension on the watch, or available to be installed on the watch. Seeing as this app hasn’t been updated in 8months, it looks like this is a casualty of the new 5.0.1 update..Version: 2.3.1

Very goodVery good.Version: 2.4.4

Awesome calculator appAwesome calculator app, just does what's required of a calc app, but with some nice features and beautifully designed with nice sounds (which can be turned off if needed). I just can't believe that it doesn't appear on the first page of search results for 'calculator'. Apple should really be supporting great software like this from Tapbots who have a commitment to iOS and OS X, rather than displaying prominently mediocre to poor calculator apps, including one that only seems to exist for the purpose of pestering you into purchasing the full version. Anyway I would seriously recommend Calbot and checking out Tapbot's other apps too..Version: 1.1.1

Great app, use it all the timeI don’t know where I’d be without this app. It does everything I need: math, translations and it keeps a ritual tape that I can review. Just super. I will note that it’s a little sluggish starting up, it perhaps that's my aging iPad. And sometimes I get tripped up by order of operations things. However, these minor concerns are no reason why you shouldn’t buy this app. Now..Version: 2.3.1

Good CalculatorI like this calculator a lot. Personally I’d like an option to have a big buttoned simple calculator screen and another screen for when I want the full function calculator screen (maybe like the iPhone calculator) but that’s just me and my opinion!.Version: 2.3.1

Good appExactly what I needed..Version: 2.4.4

Design matters, even for calculatorsThis morning, my former go-to calculator app updated with a new subscription plan. Yes, a subscription for a calculator. Off I went looking for a replacement. To my disbelief, subscriptions for calculators have become quite common. After scrolling past far too many variations on the name “calculator” with some Unicode character attached to the end, I came to a developer I recognized: good old Tapbots. How had I forgotten they made a calculator? I immediately downloaded it, and the old Tapbots attention to detail was just as I remembered it from their apps in the golden age of iOS, yet beautifully updated for modern standards. And the IAP to unlock everything? A one-off purchase, thank you very much..Version: 2.5.2

BRAVO Marc..Version: 2.4.2

Apple Watch app does not workI purchased Calcbot because I liked the interface and the included Apple Watch app. However the Apple Watch app does not recognize the activated IOS app and does not activate the conversions and tips calculator functions in my Apple Watch. I wrote to customer support but have not received a reply yet..Version: 2.4.4

Losing functionality to force payment again not coolPaid for the app years ago and loved it and now they try to force me to pay again to recover features I already paid for and to add features I don’t want. Not going to happen ... fool me once ....Version: 2.4.2

Much improved with latest updateI wasn't a huge fan of the initial release but with the latest update things are looking much better. Better button layout and the addition of parentheses are welcome additions..Version: 0

It's great, some additions pleaseI love this calc for the history, thanks for bracketing, very much appreciated. I'd like to see some additions * After entering or reusing an expression, allow editing it, a cursor in the expression on the calc would be great for this. * Allow saving a roll for later reloading * Programmers mode, such as hexadecimal and notation conversion * Possibility to create functions for later reuse by saving an expression I can think of more but these are some I'd really love to see..Version: 0

Highly recommended.Pleased to see the latest update fix the few remaining nagging issues. After many years of using this app on iPad and iPhone it’s the best it been. I have the new Apple Watch arriving next week and am keen to try it out on that..Version: 2.5.1

This is perfect! For what I need and use, this is just perfect. Everything has been thought through with this down to the animation of switching between conversions! That satisfying moment you move between them and see it change as your scrolling is amazing! This was worth every penny, good job guys :).Version: 2.4.3

Superb, easy to useVery easy and convenient to use, many features and every conversion metric a person might need..Version: 2.4.4

Really GoodI was after an easy-to-use calculator with some extended functions and out of several others I'd tried (i.e. wasted money on) this is the best. Not sure about the negative review saying this is a waste of money (without even saying why)... It has a really nice interface. Of course, the more functions that are added the better it will become but as it stands this app is what I was looking for. I'll rate this app 5 stars when it has some memory functions (memory add/clear/etc); scrolling up the list of previous results is not an ideal workaround (often you want to put into memory an unrelated number to what's in the history). For day-to-day calculations, this app is great..Version: 1.1.1

Love itSimple, easy to use, multifunctional, reliable.Version: 2.5.2

Best Calculator I’ve hadI’ll take a brief time-out from a busy morning of engineering, to write a well-deserved review. In 35 years of mechanical engineering, I’ve had many occasions to reach for a calculator. Today, I reach for my phone and Calcbot. It does everything I expect from a classic desktop scientific calculator. Of course, it can’t do all my work. I do a lot of calculus, statistics, and finite element modeling. For those I use a computer. For quick desktop calculations—and I do a lot of those—today or use a Phone. Calcbot is a great tool, and I recommend it..Version: 2.4.2

Missing kWh to KM conversionPlease add to Calcbot’s conversion utility a setting for EV owners to convert from kWh to KM (Canada, EU, Etc.) and Miles (USA). While my car will show the estimated range it’s nice to do the conversion in Calcbot when getting the receipt emailed to me for the billed charge. “The formula for calculating electric car efficiency is: Efficiency (kms per kWh) = Distance (km) / Energy Consumed (kWh). In this example, your electric car has an efficiency of 9.9 km per kWh for the given trip. The higher the distance per kWh, the more efficient your electric car is.”.Version: 2.5.2

Great AppThis app is awesome; especially good in ios 11 where the iphone calc has rounded buttons. iPad app is also very good - supports split view..Version: 2.3.1

Love this app, been using it since Calcbot 1!The layout for Calcbot 2 is drastically different from the original but after some getting used to it. I think this is way better! Only thing I wish it had was a way to convert centimeter to feet+inch and vice versa. I’m in a country that uses centimeters right now and it would be useful if I could convert my height in feet to centimeters. I remember the first Calcbot could do that..Version: 2.4.4

Great app but has a few bugsPaid for the pro version unfortunately the history tape doesn't record all the calculations. Works some times other times misses a line or two similar to free version. 4 or 5 stars when this bug is sorted!.Version: 2.1.1

BestThese's a number of reasonable calculators for iPad. I've bought and tried several. However, this is the only one I've kept. Just enough features and definitely the nicest UI of them all..Version: 1.1.1

Winner by miles! How is it that I’ve come to the point in my life that I rate calculator apps? But here I am. This is, hands down, by far, my favorite calculator app. I use it on both my i-devices and my MacBook and iMac. I’ve tried many liking for the right fit and this one fits the bill almost perfectly. Mainly I love the design/UI, the tape, and how easy it is to run conversions..Version: 2.5.2

Best calculatorBest calculator ever !.Version: 2.4.2

Beautiful and functionalExactly what you'd expect from Tapbots. Gorgeous interface, clever new features, fantastic design. Has very quickly replaced the built in calculator..Version: 0

It all adds upThis is the one. You don’t need another calculator app; you need this one. Been on my home screen for years. Buy it..Version: 2.3

GoodBetter than the apple calculator.Version: 2.4.4

FinallyFinally updated to the iOS 7/8 design aesthetic which is much appreciated. Also combines Calcbot and Convertbot together into one app which means less apps on my phone! High quality app from high quality developers. Pity it wasn't released sooner..Version: 2.0

Calcbot is faveMany years of loving fave. found a feature request: would help to have specific currencies abbreviations next to the spelled-out written in the currency selector page - this would be easy as they are already in the system. eg. "Canadian Dollar (CAD)" - sort by abbreviation could be most helpful..Version: 2.4.4

Almost there...This is a great App. Beautiful, clean and elegant and everything you would expect from Tapbots, however it would be nice if they could expand the App a little more. For me, the addition of brackets (for formulas) would turn this 4-star App into 5-stars!.Version: 0

Perfect nowLong time user here, the faster start is much appreciated..Version: 2.5.2

Results getting omitted in historyThe results are not being displayed randomly in history. I'm using latest ios. Please fix. Also need some more themes and sounds..Version: 2.5.2

Another great app from TapbotsI really wasn't in the market for another calculator, even though I've always found the standard calculator a bit limited. But when I saw this I knew that it'd be worth the money, and it certainly is. For me the ability to see both the calculation trial as I enter it, and the recent history, makes this a vastly superior and more useful calculator than the standard Apple app. Add to that a nice slick interface, scientific functions just a swipe away and the ability to use parentheses and this is shockingly good value. The only issues I have is trying to figure out how the percentage key works (?! A section within 'Help' would be useful) and please change the colour of the icon. As others have said, it's simply too dark, especially as it's now officially replaced the standard calculator on my home page!.Version: 0

Great app & fast/helpful support!Am so happy with my purchase, mostly for use as an extra complication on my Apple Watch via the Watch app! App support extremely fast & helpful, as I couldn’t figure out why, when using it on my Apple Watch, tapping the minus sign would show the plus sign, and tapping the divide sign would show the multiplication sign — So I emailed app support and shortly got an email back saying to double tap any of the functions on my watch to toggle between them, which works great and solved my problem! 👍.Version: 2.4.2

Good but..The only problem here when you "use expression", you can’t edit it somewhere in the middle, you need to delete everything to get to the middle of expression. other apps of this type can do it.Version: 2.4.2

Very good calculatorFinally a very good calculator app. It would be more practical and easier to swap favourite button and Clear button positions..Version: 2.5.2

Great appAnother quality app from Tapbots. Very functional and great graphics. Would like to see parenthesis though, and an option to send the tape to a printer (could be handy for lengthy calculations). Keep 'em coming guys!.Version: 0

The BestI've tried a few - this is the best. Many features not found in others with an elegant interface..Version: 0

Not for multiple conversationsWhy can I not change the value in the conversion screen? I mean it looks great and works flawlessly but it’s not very efficient to have switch back to the calc screen to change the value when doing multiple conversions. If there is a way please let me know as I have not found out how. I realize because of the design it doesn’t seem to “fit”, but that’s something your designers need to figure out. Other than that great app and very swift with no hiccups. 5 stars when this is figured out. Great work!.Version: 2.4.4

Beautiful.Well done Tapbots and tap tap tap. Your UI designer(s) is really talented. It really needs parentheses, though. Otherwise the live view to see previous parts of the calculation isn't doing all it can..Version: 0

Awesome but calculations are SO SLOWIdk if anyone else is having this issue but whenever i press the “=“ sign it always takes at least 4+ seconds to calculate... I know it pre-calculates before but in order to save a calculation in the history, I have to press the equal sign. It’s literally only when you press the equal sign that this app lags. It makes no sense because I have an iPhone 8 so I’m sure the A11 bionic isn’t the problem. Please PLEASE P L E A S E fix this bug and i’ll gladly change this review to 5 stars; the rating it should and i’d gladly give! i love you developer pls dont roast me.Version: 2.2

Everything you’re looking for in a calculatorI spent quite some time here evaluating calculators. They all provided only limited functionality with massive advertising, charging ridiculous fees. This calculator works out-of-the-box with no advertising. With the small $1.99 fee, you get everything you could ever want in a calculator and more. Thank you!.Version: 2.5.2

Amazing AppThis is a very good app, I've tried a large amount of other calculator apps, but this is by far the best. I think there's only one thing you should change about it, I attend high school and in maths class sometimes I want to use fractions. The problem is, on my scientific calculator, I can easily do things like adding, subtracting and multiplying proper, improper and mixed fractions, but I don't know how to do that on Calcbot. But overall, amazing app..Version: 2.0.1

Fantastic CalculatorLooks nice, is plenty functional and plays nice with iPad. Worth $3!.Version: 2.4.2

Great calculator.I like this calculator for it shows what you have entered. That way you can check your entries, even after the results are shown. So it is easy to check your entries and know you have the right result of what you are calculating..Version: 2.4.2

Great AppJust what I needed. I work in the supermarket industry & wanted a simple calculator that I could use to work out margins & GST. I didn't want a calculator that did it all for me. Great app that you can scroll up and view your calculation history :-) happy.Version: 0

Parentheses! Now that parentheses have been included, I have to give this app 5 stars. now it doesn't matter if I forget my calculator!.Version: 0

Needs a ManualI was more interested in other apps that TapBots have authored, but this is the only one so far that has come sized to the iPad screen. I don't need most of the functions on the calculator and the sliding keyboard seems like technology for the sake of it. As has been said previously, the percentages are a little odd. 98x50% gives you 49, but as yet I haven't found a way to add a percentage to a figure. It's probably easy, but it has outwitted me. I dumped a couple of free calculators from the iPad when I installed this, so if your needs are not scientific you might like to look at JumboCalc. Personally I just wanted to support the authors of some software that looks like it will be very useful to me when it arrives for the iPad. With the rapid take-off of this app, more registrations can surely only encourage the authors to press on with their other offerings..Version: 0

NiceI like the app. It’s clean and easy to use. I recommend it..Version: 2.2

Way better!I like this app so much better than the one that comes installed on the phone. It keeps a history that I can search through later. I can even star/fav the ones I know I want to keep handy or notice I might need again. I can also slide to delete the ones I know I won’t be needing later. It’s great for all the functions I need everyday and so much more so I don’t have to worry when I need to do advanced calculations. I know I can do it all right from my iPhone or Pad so I don’t have to carry around a separate calculator in my bag. Yay me, now I have room for something else I might need :)..Version: 2.3.1

CalculatorI think it’s a great calculator the best I have ever used can do anything on it.Version: 2.4

EasyIt works, has scientific calculator options and is easy to use. Not to mention its looks nice and the robot sound are too cute.Version: 1.1.3

Love this appBut it would be great if there is option that C (clear) is always visible. Sometimes I have much calculations, and often have to delete and start all over, holding back button to clear is then very annoying. Maybe to have option to remove fav button, and replace it with back, and back to always be clear would be great. I really dont see why would I fav something in my callculations since I already have history..Version: 2.2

As a teacher of alternative education in Eau Claire, WI. . .I use this Calculator daily, to show and assist struggling students with math problems, so they can “see” the equation in real time with the changing answer, assisting some to overcome a commonly believed, “math-phobia, which many people suffer.” We can see equations and go back and look at the scroll of numbers. This would be good for anyone who kept a tally for auditing, banking, or any other such enterprise. It costs a little but it seems worth it..Version: 2.4.2

No Indian RupesI made the purchase before I saw it didn’t have Indian Rupees. Weird. It’s only a country with over 1.3 Billion people 🤪 I travel there a few times a year as well as hire people in the area. This is a huge missing piece for me. Please add more currencies. Update: Support reached out to me. Didn’t know you could swipe down and get to settings. Went in and changed to currencies in was interested in. Upped review to ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.Version: 2.3

Missing Memory FeaturesLove the look of this calculator but I really like using the M+, M-, Mr and Mc features of the standard calculator. Can't see how this is implemented in this program so I will have to stick to the original apple calc for now..Version: 1.1.1

Great little update!- Better Sounds. - Haptic Feedback Feels Great! - Split View (Finally) works great on iPad. Very happy as I use this app daily. For me Dark Ninja Theme looks sexy!.Version: 2.2

Excellent calculator appI’ve been using this app for a while now and have nothing but good things to say about it. I find the history is a real handy feature that allows you to reuse previous calculations, and by swiping the result to the right, you get to convert your number to whatever you want..Version: 2.4.4

Great!A no-nonsense calculator/conversion app. It you guys added ability to convert and calculate Frames Per Second (as used in filmmaking) to the units I'd probably never stop using it..Version: 2.5.2

Great, butGreat app but can we have a french version?.Version: 2.4.4

Great appLove this calculator.Version: 2.4.4

The best is back!Version 2.2 Update: I’m so happy that Calcbot now supports split screen and slide over. It’s a big help when wanting to do a quick calculation on iPad where Apple doesn’t give you a calculator out of the box. Calcbot is my favorite calculator app. It keeps the simplicity I want and adds the little extras I desire. The tape feature is great. I really like enabling the currency option because most of my calculations involve money. Being able to easily convert units is icing on the cake. This is a huge update to Calcbot and it shows. So much more than just a coat of paint..Version: 2.2

Flexible calculator & conversionsCalcbot has lots of nice touches like history, parenthetical expressions, sounds and haptics (turn on/off in settings). Love that you can see the ‘tape’ history of calculations, as well as the equations leading to the results. Conversions (a small one-time in app purchase for ‘Pro’) are a quick swipe right. A great calculator app, plus iPad version that fills in the gap on iPad OS. Try then buy—worth the in-app purchase for conversions and no ads..Version: 2.5.2

Needs to incorporate UK. GallonsConversion of volume needs to identify both UK and US gallons as well as cubic meter conversion.Version: 2.4.2

Best Calculator App!Had this calculator app for many many generations of iOS and I still love it after years of use! Use it for conversions too!.Version: 2.4.2

Nice stylish calculator/converterLooks nice and modern. Not as fun as the older ‘convert-bot’ but fits in well with the contemporary ‘flat’ UI aesthetic. Works well, but accessing the settings, converter, units etc. isn’t always as obvious as it might be given the minimalist design. Massive amount of units to access and enable, with a good default set that will be more than enough for the non-specialist user. The one thing missing here from the older covertbot is the ‘feet&inches’ unit, so now you need to mentally make the adjustment that 4.8 ft is is 4’10” or so. It may have been a bit of a micky mouse unit, but it was worth it for those of us who don’t necessarily need a super accurate conversion but just want to visualise something in ‘old money’ so to speak..Version: 2.4.2

EhIf you make Calcbot pro free,I will love this app.Version: 2.4.2

Great!Really good, built in currency conversion is very handy, love the themes. Only wish: option for a purple alternative icon..Version: 2.4.4

ExcellentJust waiting for parentheses, promised in the next release. I'm giving it 5 on that promise. It's a clear 4.5 without..Version: 0

Long time favorite calculator & unit converterI use this app daily for calculations and converting units. It’s interesting that I tried this app years ago, and it has always stuck as my favorite calculator. I’ll try something else every now and again, and I just come back to this one. Across several phones, any expression that I’ve not deleted from my history has safely followed me. I’ve done annual inventory at a manufacturing plant several years in a row in this app, and it’s invaluable—and when I found I needed to convert an unfamiliar unit a couple days ago, the tool I needed was already in my pocket. So I felt obligated to give a review, considering the ridiculous value of this app. Maybe other calculators offer similar function, but this has the vital virtue to my workflow of feeling like a better instance of a stock application..Version: 2.5.2
