✓ 4s problemsThis app does not store recorded sounds or the ability to export them on my 4S, so it's pretty useless and an expensive mistake, as well as being frustrating. It would be an awesome app if it worked fully as intended. Please sort out the bugs. I shouldn't need to buy an iPad for this to work and while you're at it, please make this compatible with audiobus. I can only give it 3 stars because of the above, but it would be 5 with full functionality..Version: 2.0.3
✓ Audiobus carrier wave bugBought this app to use as an effect based on the authors video, particularly for the 'carrier wave' option to use an Audiobus input with iVoxel in the effect slot. However Audiobus isn't appearing as an option, even when using an identical input (Addictive Synth). I'm guessing it needs an Audiobus compatibility update. Disappointed with this as I have all the authors other apps which are great, I don't rate this one at all though..Version: 2.6.0

✓ Fun, but needs improvement.This app is quite entertaining, but it has issues with recording voxels and the sequencer. When I make a recording and try to put it in the sequencer to make a song, it somehow messes up or ignores the edits I made to the voxel. It would also be nice if the sequencer could make a voxel play faster if the time the voxel takes to play is shorter than the length of time I want it to be held in the sequencer. ✓ ER, CAN'T GET IT TO WORK.Short version - this app has gone haywire. I paid for it and downloaded it 2 days ago, and tried it and it worked but only PLAYING the presets. Put down the non-working other bits like mic and record, to my ignorance. Sadly, it's not that. Plus, now there's just a 'burp' comes out when I hit one of the voice presets, then it is dead in effect, pretty colours aside. Sorry, but when I load it up, have the issue someone else said - eg for 'delay' effect controls on the right side, the 6 dials in that section - reverb, room size, stereo etc - simply don't turn when you slide your finger up or down - the others work. I can't get the mic icon to respond to my finger, nor the 'record' icon. Funny, the other day, it seemed to work, but now it is not even playing the preset sounds. Just baffled, and out of pocket..Version: 2.7.0
✓ Great vocoder but needs better workability with Alesis io dockThis vocoder sounds great and is very cool with the iPad's built in mic. However, it really needs to have better adaptability with the Alesis io dock. You can use midi with it but the mic inputs only worked the first time I used the app (they still work in garage band). Also, the audio output only goes through the iPad's built in speaker. I am going to hold out hope that they release an update to fix this..Version: 1.4.0

✓ Nice v 1It sounds excellent in realtime using the iPhone mic and headphones and I like the simple controls for changing the sound . But it has issues a lot of latency, knobs and keys not responding the keyboard doesn't scroll well and it crashes every time I'm in the sequencer. If it gets sorted it's five stars though cause it sounds great , and I think it's so much better/easier than setting up vocoders and busses in a sequencer so I really want this to work better.Version: 0
✓ Doesn't work iPhone 6 iOS 10.1.1Just bought as it sounded interesting and might be useful with music. Total failure. Mostly just plays loud clicks. Controls sort of work and can load built-in samples, but playback does not work at all. Just clicks and a bit of background hiss and noise. Contacted support today 22 Nov, and will update based on response. Demo video at developer website shows it used to work, maybe OK on older hardware and iOS version. ✓ Tutorial is deceiving.I bought this app (iPhone) both because of the rave reviews and the tutorial on VirSyn’s own YouTube page showing external apps as a carrier. I tried it the way in the video, and it doesn’t work; it interprets the app as a Modulator, not carrier, and the mic doesn’t work at all. I’ve tried routing the mic and the carrier app on different channels while using the carrier as a wave, and still can’t get it to work. I can’t find any tutorials on this, and the VirSyn video is totally inaccurate, so I feel like I got ripped off. Even if I do find out how to do it eventually, it still shouldn’t take this much work. ✓ The left hand third of the screen is touch dead!Just bought this app. It's pretty useless because the functions on the left of the screen don't respond to touch, so you are left working with half an app that is just impossible to use. ✓ Cool app but I'm having problemsThe sonic potential in this app is Big. But for some reason when I try to record something to pasteboard there is a glitch which makes random notes sound which block out what I'm trying to play. ✓ Worst interfaceThe interface is confusing which takes a lot of the fun out of it. Why does it open with built in samples? Who cares? I want to start of using my own voices. It should focus on vocoding, and leave it to other apps to record and sequence. I also agree with the other reviewer, the icon is hideous. Hire a good UI designer since this was obviously designed by an engineer/developer. I just bought Voice Synth which has a much better interface and more fun to use..Version: 1.4.0

✓ Has potential but problematicThere really is a lot of potential with this interesting app but for me it has been rendered pretty useless by some problem which I have not been able to get to the bottom of. When I first downloaded it I was able to record new custom voxels which is what a lot of people will use this app for. Some weeks later I came back to it and this same task became impossible, all I got was interference. I communicated this issue to the developers in detail including a video of the issue trying to step through all the things it could be, whether software or hardware. As well meaning as they were with their responses, to be honest I got nowhere at all as I only really got answers to questions I hadn't actually asked. So potential yes but no substitute for actual usability, it is not a cheap application and it doesn't actually work for me the way I need it to work and it looks more like a software issue than a hardware one..Version: 1.4.0

✓ Problem with audiobusHasn't been crashing for me. But, they say it works with audiobus and they have a video showing how to do it. Followed the instructions to the letter but it's not working. I can't for example see any audiobus selection available in the carrier wave menu. I wanted this feature and I'm not happy having paid for ivoxel to find that this isn't working. ✓ Unreliable!!!!!The sounds and the usability in the app are okay. They're awful to understand but they can be manipulated into something moderately useful. I bought this and audiobus, and it works with GarageBand randomly. I mean, exactly the same set up sometimes works and then next time you do it nothing comes out of ivoxel. Go into the app alone, no goddamn sound!! Close everything, open ivoxel again, works fine. Join the apps with audiobus and try again... no sound. ✓ Money down the drainYou're best hope of getting anything usable out of the built in IPad mic is literally sticking your face up to the bottom right corner of the iPad. The lack of a decent mic option on the iPhone renders this app unusable. The vendors site offers no viable solutions to this issue. Whatever they are doing in their video to make this work is a complete mystery. The fact that they have lame default words as the default demonstrates that they know that the majority of iPad users won't be able to utilize this for anything other than a silly toy. Avoid buying this unless the vendor gets off their backsides and put something on their site that demonstrates a viable mic option so this can be used in any kind of decent fashion on the iPad..Version: 0
✓ Crashes Upon LaunchingI purchased this app and it crashes upon launching every time. I deleted the app and re-installed it through from iTunes By syncing, and also again through the app store page. ✓ Fun but needs more user featuresCrashes! You can't playback your live recordings on the device you have to export them! The sequencer section is limited as you can't have two notes on the same beat and there is no copy, paste, move or undo. There are only two effects, delay and chorus NO reverb. You can't record from the transport bar you have to skip back and forth between pages to select record. To be at concert pitch you need to set the pitch +3. This app needs a whole new re-design!.Version: 1.4.0

✓ Good but flawedThis app would be great except I have a problem with the fact that I am unable to erase a voxel that has been recorded on the mic. There seems to be now way to delete a 'bad take' and they just pile up on the voxel list and take up precious memory on the iPad. Can anybody show me how to erase an unwanted voxel? ✓ Great Sounds, Just a couple of things to tweakThis app sounds great and I and I am definitely glad I bought it. - Copy/paste working well for me. Some things I'm suggesting to improve: - It crashes on my ipad often (sequencer mode) - Recording works, but CAN YOU ADD A METRONOME? Hard to line things up with other apps when I have no way to play along with another tune or to a metronome. That's it!
