The Australian Women's Weekly for Positive User Reviews

A monthly treasureI find the digital version of AWW an easy effective way to read the magazine. The digital version looks good, is easy to read and navigate. Would recommend it to anyone who wants the articles, adverts, comments and recipes without the problems associated with paper disposal. An environmental plus. Only issue I have is the cost. Does seem a little expensive..Version: 1.8.1

Totally uselessDitto to everything other reviewers have reported. I am so frustrated. No one seems concerned at all that there is an issue..Version: 8.0

Can We Add Pinterest Please?Since the new year I've been thrilled with converting to digital AWW and will never go back. It would be nice to receive a voucher for the freebies but the upside is no more wasted trees and clutter. A Pinterest option would be nice. Sometimes I have successfully used a recipe and I'm very keen to share it with friends on Pinterest. Or I'd like to pin decorating ideas to my private pinboard. If AWW restricted Pinning to just those aspects, I think it may eventually translate to more issue sales. Please consider..Version: 1.9.0

New Zealand editionAny chance the Australian Women's Weekly - New Zealand edition - could be added to the newsstand app??.Version: 1.6.1

Love the fact that it is so interactiveBetter price and more engaging than reading printed copy - Adrienne.Version: 1.3.1

AWWThoroughly enjoy reading this, can just pick and Put down. Fun to read with "moving" pictures. A great purchase!!! Well worthwhile and now I do get to read the magazine that I purchased first!!!.Version: 1.4.2

Great for holidaysSo glad I decided to subscribe to this magazine on my new iPad. It is so convenient and easy to pick up and put down..Version: 1.5.0

Quality woman's magI grew up reading my mum's AWW now I can share it with my daughter in a whole different way on the other side of the world! Fab reading lot's of entertainment and topical issues to read. Keep up the good work AWW..Version: 1.5.0

Calling all Women! This magazine continues to be the absolute best of the ladies’ magazines on the market. Well written, beautifully photographed and on good quality paper. Buy up!.Version: 7.16

Woman’s Weekly On LineGreat magazine to subscribe to on line. Take it wherever you go to read at your leisure..Version: 7.16

Fabulous way to read a magazine!I was uneasy at first about reading a mag on the iPad but am now a convert and can't see myself buying magazines any other way. It is so easy to navigate and simple to read. The interactive features are excellent. No need to worry about how you are going to store magazines anymore. Also so easy to purchase. No need to leave the house or wait for a subscription copy to be mailed. Apparently there are even devices which hold your iPad on the fridge making following recipes a breeze. I will no longer be buying AWW in hard copy. This is an excellent resource and I think reasonably priced. I bought a three month subscription and saved money and will continue to purchase and read AWW on my iPad..Version: 1.6.0

AWWA little taste of home - well nearly. (a little kiwi).Version: 1.5.0

Woman’s WeeklyMy Mother bought the Womens Weekly for years ! Then I bought the Weekly when I got married and now still buying it and enjoying . Always has up to date info , recipes etc ..Version: 7.17

Downloads fineI was hesitant to download after all the comments about the time it took but decided to try it anyway. Took about 45 seconds ! If you are having problems (and you don't think it's your Internet service) try plugging your iPad into your computer (as if you were going to sync it without wireless). I find it is usually faster to do any downloads this way. Hope this helps :-).Version: 1.5.0

SheilaI thoroughly enjoy having my iPad and all the extra reading, games and education available to myself and my daughter are heading overseas in the next week and will have a great tool to have for sharing our travel news..Version: 1.6.1

GreatGreat read and I love the interactive bits!.Version: 1.9.0

Women’s weeklyHave difficulty downloading! Subscription fully paid but unable to download!.Version: 7.16

Digital copy faultyIve bought digital magazines for years without incident. Then Are Media arrived. They couldn't manage one magazineand so itwas deleted and not available digitally now. This week is the Australian womans weekly…despite every attempt I cant upload it and it appears nor can Apple or the developer! Please fix the bugs!.Version: 7.17

Reading the WW in bedReally enjoy reading the Aus WW in bed as with the paper version I have nearly knocked myself unconscious, but with the electronic version no such problem. Although the video turning on when you flip a page does sometimes scare the shooter out of me not to mention my dozing partner. But love the stories and recipes and looking forward to still being able to read it whilst overseas. Brilliant.Version: 1.5.0

My fabulous AWWWhat a brilliant idea having it on my iPad. Doesn't get dog-eared, doesn't get stolen. I can read it in the dark whenever I like. Have always loved the AWW now it's just taken on a whole other dimension . Yehaaa!.Version: 1.6.1

HOW TO CANCEL AUTO-RENEWALThe auto renewal process can be confusing. It is an opt-in feature which you are offered when you first pay for a subscription, and is a standard offering for iPad magazines. It is something you are asked if you want to activate when you first purchase. You are also sent a notification email prior to the renewal period as well with the option to cancel. To cancel auto-renew: 1. Open the App Store app. 2. Scroll down to the bottom and tap on your Apple ID (or Sign In). 3. When a new window pops up, tap View Apple ID. 4. Under Subscriptions, tap Manage. 5. Tap AWW, and you will see the subscription status and available options. 6. Toggle the auto-renew button to OFF and confirm. Just FYI - if you use the Help tab within an app you can send an email or feedback to the developers and they can actually answer your questions. When you leave a review, there's no way anyone can get in contact with you except to post another review....Version: 1.7.1

MrsFabulous to have my favourite magazine on my iPad! Saves a lot of money on international postage..Version: 1.7.1

Great and ImprovingHave used since inception and had some probs but WW help was good. Purpose of using an app versus actual mag is convenience, and portability. I can keep all my old mags and recipes without clutter. Probs with downloading people are having are likely to be ipad settings and speed of their internet condition not the app itself. As per cost well there are still massives costs of IT development ,staffing , help desks etc so it is reasonable to be similar to actual mag!.Version: 1.5.0

Front coverI’d like to see more unsung heros on the front cover of The Weekly. We have many wonderful woman in Australia who are not rich and/or famous and who’ve done amazing work for this country. Anne Mackie Kinder..Version: 7.16

Great interactive magazineI love the layout, it's so easy to read on screen and still feels like reading a magazine. Other big name publishers could take note, with O magazine you have to jump to the text and then back to the magazine, it's very clunky but the Women's Weekly allows you read the article easily with our disrupting the 'flicking through the pages' feel of reading a magazine. This is above and beyond the great content..Version: 1.2.0

AwesomeThis is such a great way to read a mag... No print on your fingers when you have applied hand cream and no need to dispose of a mag once your done with it. Good work!.Version: 1.5.0

Great AppI enjoy getting the AWW this way as I have enough clutter in my house yet don't like throwing out this excellent magazine. As a NZer I miss the NZ content and would like to have the option of choosing the NZ version..Version: 1.8.2

AWWThis is the only women's magazine I read, even though I've never even been to Australia! Great articles, fashion and most importantly food articles, plus a wonderful use of special features in the electronic version of the magazine..Version: 1.8.1

Jan 18 - where is it?Still waiting for this to be downloaded! This is why we all have a subscription..Version: 7.6

GreatI love this magazine - the articles are always interesting and well researched and written. I also love the recipes and food section - I just wish there was a way you could print the recipes..Version: 1.8.1

Woman's weeklyLove it......Version: 1.6.1

Suits meDigital mag works well for me. Considerably cheaper than one off hard copy, downloads quickly, easy to navigate. I've got it with me wherever I go. Sweet. My only complaint is that the download takes too long to get to me. Last month I saw hard copies at the supermarket before I was able to download to my iPad. I would hope subscription holders would get the mag before others are able to buy it at the newsstand..Version: 1.6.1

Excellent way to read such a classic magazineBrilliantly interactive. A real delight to read..Version: 1.6.1

Prefer my AWW on the iPadA delight to read in bed, on the tram or at a cafe. It's cheaper than the print version - fantastic! Love the cooking videos, navigation through the contents page as well as the 'quick flick' section along the bottom too. Ads were boring. Advertisers should embrace this space - more than happy to give you time for exchange of some great content with beautiful images. The images in the Deborah Mailman section were beautiful too. Wish all my mags were available on the iPad. Thanks AWW..Version: 0

Hello.I miss Australia terribly since leaving 6 year ago, you have no idea how many pleasures return reading when reading women’s weakly. I am back in my own Australia dreams in Somerset U.K..Version: 7.16

Woman's weeklyAwesome in digital form much better and interesting..Version: 1.5.0

BrilliantLove this !!! Saves having old magazines laying around making piles & not wanting to part with them.... Only complaint I would LOVE the option to be able to flip through like a normal magazine rather than scrolling across then down... Just a suggestion :) Will be buying a yearly subscription as it is much cheaper than the hard copies & I wish more Australia magazines followed suit..Version: 1.5.0

AWWAbsolutely fantastic, will never buy another printed copy again, will never have to throw out all that shinny paper again and can always review previous copies, wether it be for a certain recipe or article or anything of interest. Love the AWW online, will never buy a printed version again, I have each month stored on the iPad, so it is great to go back to another month and get that favorite recipe, as with the printed version it always got thrown out too soon and was unable to get my favorite recipe before it was thrown out.Version: 1.4.2

Australian Womens WeeklyThis app is great the online edition is available almost always when the printed version is also available. The only downfall is that the puzzles aren’t interactive, very disappointing..Version: 7.16

Fabulous, fun and good value for moneyFab, fun and enjoyable.Version: 1.5.0

LynneI think it is so much better than the printed magazine. A lot of fun. Glad I got it..Version: 1.6.0

Very nice magazineAlways enjoyed Australian Women's Weekly - the stories are interesting and universal - but the best thing from a Canadian perspective is access to a point of view other than the North American one I'm used to. Only one thing I'd change, and that may have more to do with the device than the magazine, is that I'd like to be able to stop where I want it to stop, half or quarter way down the page, rather than automatically snap to the next page. That doesn't detract from the quality of the magazine, however, just the ease of reading it..Version: 1.6.1

Great - but the subscription side letting it downLove the app - clears the clutter around the house, and means I always have my AWW on hand when I have a spare and unexpected moment for reading. I also screenshot my favourite recipes and put them in my Evernote recipe file. BUT - big limitation is the terrible service if you subscribe. I paid for a six month subscription and got the previous 6 magazines - not the 6 going forward that I wanted (why would I pay for old editions - most of which I had purchased in hard copy format). It took quite a few emails to get it fixed - and even then, no apology or email explaining why had happened, I just found that after a while, I would get "free" access to new editions. I see from the reviews that other users have had similar problems with subscription or problems unsubscribing. I really hope customer service improves for their digital subscribers, because this is an awesome product and I am now more loyal to the digital version than I was to the print..Version: 1.6.1

DelightedDelighted I can now access this magazine in the UK as I could no longer buy print version. Great added value to the content though sounds make you jump. I live the titles whiz zing in from the side. Good to see some thought has been given to iPad presentation rather than just a lazy scan of the printed magazine..Version: 1.6.0

Paperless and effortlessFirst time travel with an iPad loaded with several books and magazines has been a huge bonus - so easy. The WW has maintained the quality stories and pictures and you can flick through just as readily as though the "real" mag was at your fingertips. Now I just have to convince myself to go paperless when on home soil..Version: 1.6.0

ExcellentLove the iPad app, would like to see it available on iPhone as well. Would be nice to be able to access the crosswords and puzzles too..Version: 1.6.1

Poor response to questionsVery fed up with app at moment. Have repeatedly asked when new issues of magazine will be available for subscribers with no response. Have emailed direct, asked on their social media pages etc as well with no response.3 issues in a row, at least 2-3 weeks AFTER selling in stores before available for download. My kids gave me the subscription for Christmas as they know I love my AWW and very disappointing to not be able to use it properly..Version: 7.6

AWWGreat magazine but hard to cancel on line. Still prefer the magazine to online version. But e-edition great for Travelling.Version: 1.7.1

Women’s WeeklyLove my Women’s Weekly every month, so informative. 🤩.Version: 8.0

So disappointedI cannot believe how pathetic this app is, after having purchased this magazine for over forty years, reconsidering my subscription, what a joke. Every time I stop reading when I return I have to go through the whole process of waiting for all the editions to come up (I have a few) then find the one I was reading and wait for it to reopen. Then when I finally get back to it, it reopens to the cover instead of where I was up to! And I have to search through all the pages to find what I was reading. WW you need to look at other apps that know how to bookmark and open up properly, Shameful.Version: 6.0
