✓ Acars reviewAcars is just a very basic acars decoder. The GUI is just a blank screen with a level bar at the top. It decodes aircraft name, date and time. The program is well over priced considering it's simplicity. For that sort of money you would expect some maps and basic position information. I hope the author will update this software with position information plotted on a map and maybe decode some of the other bits of info transmitted. Ohh well at least it decodes well even when using the iPhone mic!.JosewashereVersion: 1.1

✓ It's a nice start....Having seen Black Cat Systems Multimode, I figured that I'd be getting similar quality in thus app....Well, it's a nice start, but it's pretty clumsy to exit this app when it's running (you press the button and bail out completely). Also wish there more options to save the received ACARS text as well as pause operation, too. The decodes are sometimes garbled even when there is no background noise present, but for the most part can decode ACARS reception decently. Here's to hoping the author adds some more features to this first effort to improve its operation..MartywittrockVersion: 0

✓ It works.VERY minimum application, it receives ACARS and that's it. You can put your earbud microphone next to radio speaker, but best bet would be a line-level microphone input. Even if packet doesn't fully decide properly, you get what does decode. Thats a plus. Wish it could run in the background. Only thing I understand is Tail number and type aircraft in packet. It would be nice if the rest of the jibberish is translated to what it actually means. However, it does work. I use in with SDR on the Airband..KD0Version: 1.4

✓ Neat, but needs work for the costLike the other reviews have alluded, this app operates like a proof-of-concept. Yes, it decodes, but that's it.
