✓ Super simple straight forward fax app!My reason for the 4 star review is the only downside i’ve found while using the app over the years. when you compose a fax, the photo quality of handwritten documents uploaded isn’t the best. Im assuming the black and white imaging makes it hard to read. But only on the handwritten documents. Otherwise, the app has a clear interface, it’s a quick and easy way to send a fax, even for older generations of the not so tech savvy!.Version: 6.0.10

Just type the fax number I’m the number box, you can leave a note in the second box Third box simply Take or choose photos of the documents you want faxes ,I only sent 2 but you can pick up to 5 in the same box. Send and your done. You’ll receive a conformation email shortly after. And yes it’s free, didn’t cost a dime, no subscription to sign up for and no credit or debit card needed at all. No need to pay for a gold plated app and service for something that is so infrequent I thought about giving 4 instead of 5 stars because the built in camera photo scan does not flatten and straighten out the image. But, it was easy enough to let Apple notes app do that trick, save the corrected screen image to my photos with a screen capture, and then send the image(s) in fax burner.Version: 5.3

✓ A Great AppFaxBurner is a great app for anyone, like me, who does not own a fax machine. I just take a picture of whatever I want to fax, locate it in my photo library, select it and that’s it. I found it’s best to take a picture of the items to be faxed with your phone camera. The camera in FaxBurner tends to wash-out the image. Other than that, no complaints. I’ve tried other fax apps but they really don’t offer anything that competes to this app. I almost NEVER rate apps, and on the few occasions that I do, I just give stars without comments. However, I decided to comment because this app has made some difficult or time critical situations work out perfectly, so many times for me, that they deserve the accolades. ✓ Amazing app and serviceI needed a document sent to me ASAP for taxes because the original was lost in the mail. I’ve tried free fax services in the past and they are always limited free trials that are difficult to cancel. This one is truly free and gives you a free 24 hour number to receive faxes. I got notification immediately when the fax arrived in good condition. But not only that 24 hours later I got an email saying the number was extended another 24 hours just in case I was still waiting. That was my #1 fear with using this service. ✓ Rare Fax UserI needed a quick simple app to work with my iPhone today and did not want to have to purchase a subscription with more features than I would need or use as it is extremely rare that I need to send or receive anything via fax (< 2X/year). I downloaded the app, created a fax cover sheet, took photos of the 3 pages that I needed to fax, then sent the fax - all in under 5 minutes! Maybe once every year or 2 maybe more but when I had to snail mail in my taxes I got a letter back stating they needed additional info from me. Wish they let you send PDFs other than Dropbox, but take a scan with a scanner app, download to JPEG, then upload form photo library. It made me either take a photo or choose from my photo library or Dropbox library. I had 8 pages to fax. I had to convert them into images. Then, I had to attach one photo at a time, rather than allowing me to grab each photo in the order that I wanted it, all at once. Outside of that, it’s free, easy to use, clean, and super fast! ✓ Would like to see more apps available for selecting documentsI appreciate that when I need to send a fax for an organization that still uses fax machines, and does not allow electronic delivery of documents or forms, that this is an option available to me as fax machines have been phased out of many workplaces. However, it is a bit of a pain to have to jump through hoops to upload my documents from a program like Adobe Acrobat to Dropbox before being able to attach them to my fax versus being able to attach them directly from Adobe Acrobat. One issue however, at least for the free fax, is that there doesn’t appear to be a way to fill in names in the “To” and “From” fields on the cover page. The “To” box only asks for the recipient’s fax number. As a result, the cover page is sent with blank “To”, “From”, and “Subject” fields. ✓ Fax burner iPhone AppI tried using this application via Safari on my MacBook Pro using my existing email account, but it kept giving me an error message that one of the attached files wasn’t recognized. All files were PDFs. After four attempts I decided to try downloading the application to my iPhone 14 and then I had to convert all the PDFs to photos in order to attach them to the fax. Then it actually worked and supposedly sent the fax…I have received a confirmation email message saying the fax was sent. Hurry! I got some important paperwork to where it needed to be in record timing & without having to go to a store & pay to fax it. The only thing I wish were different is the option to be able to choose a file, instead of just a photo or from Dropbox. I keep my information in my iPhone Files. I had to take a picture of what I wanted to send before sending. Luckily, I was able to fit everything into a screenshot. The print came out a little squished in the actual fax, but it worked. That’s all I’d ask to be added. Otherwise, it worked out great!!.Version: 5.6
✓ Free faxing via iPhone! Really!!I downloaded and tried several supposedly free faxing apps, but this is the only one that didn’t charge me to send the fax!! Love it! This one has all the same features but no charge. Didn’t even ask me to put a credit card on file. It’s perfect. Although apparently there is a charge of you send more than 5 pages. Just FYI - all the others say “free” but wait until you’ve compiled everything and are ready to click send - then they ask for a credit card..Version: 6.0.6
✓ Got my absentee ballotToday was the deadline to request an absentee ballot. I planned to scan and email the application but the election authority couldn’t open it. Our fax machine doesn’t work with our phone service so I downloaded this program. Took a picture of completed application. Blinked my eyes and it was faxed. Got an email it was accepted minutes later. Did I mention contractors were working on an electrical line so scanner, internet, phones weren’t working when I had to resubmit? ✓ What an amazing app!I was not at home close to a fax and had a document I needed to get over to my physician right away. I found this app, download it to my phone and expected to pay $10 or $15 to use it. The app allowed me to use the fax app for 24 hours and it completely solved my problem with a fee. ✓ Great Product!I have used Fax Burner for a year now, and have been very pleased with how easy it is to send and receive faxes. I have never had a minute of trouble with it. The faxes always go through and I always receive what is sent. It is easy to fax a document when all I have to do is take a picture! I really enjoy getting the notification when a fax comes in. ✓ Straight to the pointMy last fax app was fancy and convenient but for some reason I enjoy this fax app much better. Something about it makes faxing too easy. I wasn’t able to scan my file but the picture came out clear and just like a scan so I love it. My only issue is if they offered single fax because I don’t fax a lot and I think they’d make a lot more money since this app is so easy to use. It’s like sending a text. ✓ Quick and easyI needed to receive a fax while waiting on a phone call to get the representative to fax the documents to me, came in the App Store while on the phone and downloaded fax burner and wow it worked you get to send and receive Dax’s for free then pay for the rest, I really like that, you are getting to text out the software first then purchase, you have a customer for life, just please stay on top of your updates and we have a winner.
