It have improve from its original version however the old version I still use it on my iPad2 and work flawless. Recomend it is very easy to use. ✓ Great for beginnersI was trying to find a sound editor app so I could edit my vocals for my music and came across this app. I really like it because it is easy to use and has so many features. I can change my voice and edit the crap out of my not-so-pretty vocals. I do wish they had like a tutorial so I could know what all the features are. There are so many features that it can be a little overwhelming. It is easy to use and find what effects you need, I would just say, have a thing that tells what thing does what and how it effects the audio. But besides that I really like it. ✓ Good but needs better iPad intergrationThe app works really well as an audio editing replacement on iOS, it has a lot of options for an iOS app and is definitely one of the best choices as a desktop alternative. But that being said, it’s a shame that (at least on the iPad Pro) the app has black borders on the side and it doesn’t take up the full screen. Better integration with the Apple Pencil and mouse / keyboard support would be great as well. While the app still works just as well by just using your finger and touch screen, having the option to use your Apple Pencil and whatever mouse / keyboard combination you have would really make this a desktop audio editing killer..Version: 10.61

✓ Great app, but needs a bit of workHonestly, this app is really great for audio editing. It’s like Audacity on the go. It has some of the features included, everything works the way it’s supposed. If you want to buy all the features, it’s worth it. I just bought the output formats simply cause I wanted to mess with my audio files with the bitrate. Overall, it’s really good at its performance, but I only have one complaint. It's the app constantly crashing. This really can bother me at times when I'm editing something. If you can please make more updates fixing this problem, I'll greatly appreciate it. Overall, I would recommend this app for people who used Audacity before, but want to edit audio on the go. ✓ Can’t easily increase the length of silences.This is the fastest app I’ve found on the App Store to increase the length of all my silences in a recording. It’s almost like having audacity on an iPhone. But I do have to scroll through my entire audio, select each silence manually, and click “add silence at selection”, and click ok. And here’s why: 1) The advanced silence trimmer can detect silences, and even baits you with the option of “new silence length”, but it won’t actually add silence, it only wants to trim, as said in the user guide manual (haha which means the devs knew I might like to do this, and decided not to let me, lol). 2) The split/(batch)join would probably be able to do it, except the devs didn’t give us the option to import multiple files at once! You actually have to click “add files(s)…” again and again, once for every single file, and scroll down every time to find the next file. You can’t checkmark multiple files for import. So it takes so long to add all the files, that there’s hardly any benefit. 3) There seems to be no system to add marks throughout the file, and then apply actions at all the marked locations. For example, every feature that automatically detects any points in an audio, could (should?) give the option to mark all those detected points. So then you could automatically apply actions at all marked locations. For example, “trim silences: mark all”, and then “add silence: at every mark”..Version: 16.61

✓ It’s a great appGives you the ability to do significant audio editing right on your iPhone-and then you can export your work into your cloud for easy import into any PC. The main thing I need this for, as I do a lot of editing which requires reversing the audio that I recorded. And this works very well for that. There are also normalization features which bring the volume of your audio up to good levels. My only complaint is the layout of the editing features, sometimes it is difficult to locate a feature that you need. But, it is there you just have to look around for it. The asking price for full features is not too heinous. It’s a lot cheaper than buying Sony sound forge. And the last I saw there was no iPhone version for that. This app fully integrates into your phones storage system but it needs constant scrutiny, it does use up a lot of space. So you have to make sure that you have the space available..Version: 13.19

So I have tried the exiting out of some of my recordings to make room to do more recordings. because it says that I need to close some files in order to start a new recording. And I’ve tried several times and each time it ends with it not working. And I’ve deleted quite a few recordings in hopes that I could just get a new recording. But there’s a max files count. Is there a way that we can get rid of this cause I have over 100 gigs of memory that I can still record with. so I don’t know why there would be a problem with it on your end with the Max files being reached. ✓ On a phone?? Outstanding!I’m old fashioned with ratings, 5 stars implies there’s no room to improve and no more development required. Considering I use this on my iPhone 7 a fair bit, it’s pretty powerful software and it’s great for slicing loops as well as having a broad selection of decent effects, downloadable files and all the usual editing features, it’s great for importing most file types and can upload your work direct to iCloud / Files. My only gripe is the alignment of the selection slider - you’re forced to zoom in far beyond necessary to get it on cue for selection, but also zooming back out without deselecting - it jumps or skips when you remove the stylus - like a lot of Apps do, it’s Apple’s fault, but the addition of some hysteresis if the slider has been held for 2s would make life a lot easier - that’s my only petty gripe, other than that, this is an amazing utility for a phone with a tiny subscription fee. The iPad version is a lot more polished, but you’d expect it to be I suppose. Like anything it has it’s little quirks, but nothing that impedes or prevents the task. I love it, it reminds me of a Cool Edit I once had on PC..Version: 10.44

✓ Unexpectedly amazing utilityI’m a guitarist who records mostly metal tracks at home just for fun. One day I decided to load a track into this app and I started playing around with effects. I sped up/slowed down the track just to see what it sounded like and I discovered that it’s a huge help with deciding what tempo to use when I go back to record. Obviously you can do this in your DAW, but when you’ve just recorded something the day before and now you’re at work with headphones on, it’s a lot of fun to play it back at different speeds (without losing too much quality) and completely change the feel of your song by exploring different tempos..Version: 16.80

However, I’m having one issue that’s driving me nuts. Once I change the playback method from normal Play mode to Loop Play I can’t get the playback mode to change back to normal Play mode from Loop Play mode and instead am stuck on Loop Play mode. The only way I’ve found to work around this is to delete the app from my phone, reinstall it, and then restore my purchase and then the app will be back in the default normal Play mode. …At least until I need to utilize the Loop Play mode again and then have to repeat that process to try and get back to normal Play mode. ✓ Mostly awesome audio rec/edit appThe audio functions of this app have been stellar so far. I've had no trouble with any of the ones I've used—though admittedly, I'm not employing the full spectrum of features that the app offers (I purchased the full version). The only problems I've had thus far are with saving, closing, and opening files. The strangest issue: I want to start over on a file which I edited and saved a separate version of before. I will open up the original, unedited file, but it will import with all the edits I made previously. I know it's the original because it will play the unedited version in a different app (Files), but WavePad apparently keeps a cache of all edits it ever made (though I cannot revert to the original) and applies them if it recognizes a file from earlier. Other than deleting and redownloading the app, I can't see a way around this. I'll contact the help team to see if this can be ironed out, but I figured I should mention it in a review as well. Just starting on wavepad, but so far it is the easiest to use because it does not try to reinvent the wheel, and it has a great feature set. I'm lazy and want to lie in bed and audio edit on pro audio. I record to 32 bit IEEE float for headroom in unpredictable live settings and generally mix and master at that depth too, but this only guess to 32 bit signed pcm. But I was using features like speed change fine and then all of a sudden the app blocked me me from using them, saying I had to buy premium. I am very unhappy about this because I loved the app and had lots of fun before it did that. ✓ I’m a inlove🥰I’ve been getting hella creative these past few weeks. And it’s like play ground; I get to mess around with what I like; if I don’t like you can flip it and reverse it. Anyways, it’s simple and not confusing like other apps. Yet you’ve got the ability to a lot of manipulation to your track. The pay, it’s absolutely worth it. Other apps be stealing your money for confusing and but basic set up. This app doesn’t do any of that. The only thing, I’d do it to create an editing history, so you have a history dedicated to the amount and type of edits you’ve done so the less confusing when undoing things. ✓ Good, but......no files/data stored in my WavePad app, yet iOS showed well over 26GB of “Documents & Data” being hoarded by WavePad. If projects are removed, to reclaim precious storage, please fix the bug that hoards the memory. Thanks, and an otherwise great app.Version: 16.84

✓ Great App for Paste MixingA lot of trial and error before getting just what I needed. I wish there’s been clearer instructions but over all a fantastic app for paste mixing. Simply import sounds from files and the sound is excellent. I wish it had a more extensive sound library. Overall, quite excellent..Version: 11.10
✓ Send does workFrom what i can figure out, You need to save your recording, then the send button isn't greyed out anymore. Save is in a list of options from a button on the top left. Maybe not completely intuitive but certainly fine to use. Seems a good free app, but I'm yet to really play with it..Version: 4.56

After trying out 6 other ones that all tried to scam money out of me and couldn’t even perform the basic functions I was looking for, I found this gem. ✓ Quite good, but pls fix the 00:00 ! Bad reviews are dated.Did a load of recordings with an ‘actor’ and so was disappointed to later see all these recordings said they were 46 bytes size ! And duration from 00:00 to... 00:00 ! But no the recordings were actually fine. This of course is every audio person’s nightmare, that you do the work and it fails to record...except the app recorded fine, it’s just the readout that’s fubar. It’s a fault caused by an update in the last 2 years because older recordings don’t have this issue. Some terrible recent reviews, it’s almost as if these are for a different product entirely? Does the fact my original app dates back a few years make it better somehow? I dunno, for me this is not bad at all i just upgraded to get the export filetype options to get stuff out to GB. Lastly, i no longer expect apps to be free, except for trying-out..Version: 9.30
✓ Wave PadI have used Wave Pad as my go to audio editor on PC for years. Now I’ve got it on my iPad, it’s invaluable for editing and processing audio files. At last, an app that can save to a sensible filing system ( “files” and “Documents”). I hardly use iTunes these days!.Version: 11.27
