Baby Feed Timer, breastfeeding for Negative User Reviews

BreastfeedingI don’t breastfeed my baby so not being able to remove the breastfeeding reminder is annoying because it reminds me I have no milk to give my baby.Version: 6.3.1

New update sucksWith the analysis section you used to have an easy to read chart of your feeds and how many oz fed during the day. With the latest update it’s impossible to read and also I’ve been tracking for 3 months and now I can only see one. This is extremely frustrating as I rely on these charts to make sure my daughter is doing well and to make note of trends or send information to the doctor. Very disappointed.Version: 7.4.2

Good but disappointingI downloaded this app 3.5 years ago and had just started using it again for the last 6 months with my second child. Good app, simple to use but it’s a shame it’s not a free app anymore..Version: 7.1.11

Please optimise for the latest iOS updateOne of the things I like about the app is while the feed timer view is on my iPhone doesn’t get locked. This allows me to be hands free to check feeding time / swapping between breasts, pause and resume without having to unlock screen each time. However after the latest iOS update to 14.3 this feature stopped working. Now I need to unlock screen every single time I need to check time progress or change status. PLEASE UPDATE YOUR APP TO FIX THIS BUG... it has made the feeding much more difficult ☹️.Version: 7.0.1

Used to be good but not working anymoreThere is a new update only compatible with IOs13. My Iphone doesn't support the software so I cannot use the app anymore even after have paid for that. Very disappointed..Version: 7.1.0

Improvement / Fix requestI have been using the App since my daughter was born in May and found it very useful to log feeding, weight and occasional administration of medication. But, it has let me down while trying to nurse my baby through bronchiolitis. The app can’t cope with a complex medicine schedule. I have started taking screen shots after each administration as certain that some items delete after entry and the ‘medication due’ section in the analysis seems to reset each day so you loose the thread of medication that is due after a time period bridges into another day. If course this is quite distressing at 4am when your 4 day sleep deprived brain is trying to make sense of what the baby needs next. I feel it important to make users fully aware of this limitation before they rely on this feature … or maybe add/improve the function so that the medicine set-up accounts for amount of days (as well as intervals) indicated for treatment … or just doesn’t reset after each day. I’ve lost faith so returning to pen and paper to ensure I keep on track with the medicine administration at this vital time..Version: 7.1.10

Great...butIt would be good to include options in the settings for how you define the linking of feeds. Currently unable to choose how they are linked therefore the number of feeds per day info not very useful. Overall Very helpful when tired and not with it..Version: 2.7.0

Good but could be better for the priceI have purchased the paid version and have been using it for four months. I kind of like the concept but I think it is quite limited what we can do with stats I would like to select trends and then plot a graph for that period. Another annoying thing is that breast counter or feature and not being able to remove it as my baby only breastfed for a month then why can I not customise the app and remove the breast part? Another one, why is this not mobile tech friendly and allow you to enter feed amounts easily as it does on the app watch app? I mean a scroll up/down carrusel instead of typing amounts or even pre built tiles could help with times parents are holding babies but want to record and not forget recoding the feed. Look and feel, update your icons and give the all a fresh look and feel. Some wireframe based would help making it modern. Would be nice to have a weekly, monthly, quarterly or even yearly overview. Specially to plot baby’s growth.Version: 7.1.10

Why No Voice Activation? If I can get my Home Pod to start a timer, why can’t it start this timer? You’d think it would be a no-brainer to create a hands-free breastfeeding timer, but I’m guessing these things aren’t created by people who have actually nursed a baby. Particularly for those of us whose babies have poor latches, we need both hands to sort the kid, not faff about pushing buttons. Even with an Apple Watch, you still have to get your wrist in the right position and have a free hand to press go. So much for technology improving everyday life. It’s far easier to just watch the clock on the wall. Otherwise, the app is fair-to/middling. There is no way to input the amount of milk the baby is taking at the breast, for those who are weighing. The sleep function is pretty rudimentary; if you start the clock on one device you won’t know it on the other. My husband and I can’t coordinate very well as a result. The separate sleep timer isn’t much better, and why would you want to open a separate app for sleep anyway? The main benefit of this app is that you can choose what to track and eliminate the rest from your screen. The log filter is also helpful. All data can be entered or amended later, in case you don’t log something immediately, which is a plus. The analytics are really the only thing that make this better than a clock and a notebook. The machine saves time by doing the math for you. Otherwise it seems more like a toy than a tool..Version: 6.3.1
