✓ Doesn't align with known sat mapsI give the developer full marks for developing a nice looking app. Unfortunately, for my application, the app doesn't cut it. I needed to align to the G-19 satellite and the location of the satellite changed depending on where I was in the yard. Where this app says the satellite is and where other satellite maps tell me it should be makes me question the accuracy of this app. Please understand. I am not a professional installer nor have I tried to align more than one satellite dish. The one reason I bought this app for one reason and it could not help me....Version: 1.3

✓ Disappointed - clear instructions neededI had high hopes for this app, as the screenshots made it seem pretty straightforward. It might be just me, but i couldn't get on with it, and didn't succeed in finding the correct position for my dish. The azimuth setting was easy enough (although on a subsequent check the app seemed to have changed it's mind). The elevation setting just didn't seem to work at all. All in all it was a bit hit and miss. Some written instructions would have been handy. Dropping my new iphone from the height of the building didn't help much either!.Version: 1.5

✓ Inaccurate & wrongThe iPhone compass is so inaccurate and variable that the azimuth setting is hopeless. As regards the elevation it just gives the dish angle as being the satellite angle: this is only correct if your LNB is central and pointing at the dish centre. Most LNBs are offset on an arm and angled up, so the dish angle is less than the Satellite elevation by about 20 degrees. It's the front face of the LNB that's the same as the satellite elevation. For the money it's useful for giving the coordinates of a satellite from your location and for giving you an idea where it might be in the sky so 2 stars for that..Version: 1.5
✓ Making things easierThis app does pretty much what you should expect, regular updates to fix the issues have made all the difference. This app is useful unlike dish pointer. All this app needs now is the LNB skew then the doco that comes with the portable sat dish would be obsolete. Another nice feature would be the ability to set you own "zero" for elevation so that you could rest the iPhone/iPad on the dish and set it more accurately. For me the best thing would be for it to be an iPad app. Another nice fix would be for the sound to disable when I put the device to sleep without exiting the app when in positioning mode. All in all it delivers and combined with the signal finder setting up the dish takes less than 1 minute. I've used this app from Brisbane through NT down to SA into WA and have found it to be great to find the location to sit the dish to avoid trees and where to point the dish to get an almost perfect position prior to using the signal finder to fine tune the rest. Worth the cost..Version: 1.8

✓ Not worth itSorry but I would love my money back, I have set up astra at 28.2 myself using the meter off a fta sat box so I know it's quite easy but for the price and reviews I gave it a try, worked fine at night so next day I pointed it and it played ping pong till my eyes went cross eyed, I had a full panoramic view from went to east but it could not settle and find astra at 28.2 East or hotbird at 19.2, it's not reliable sorry. Makes lovely ping sound thats all..Version: 1.5
