✓ Great appThis is a great baby name app. There are tons of names listed including their origins and meanings. It's also easy to sort by a variety of filters. It's a lot of fun if you want a lot of names to choose from. You can't also rate the names you like on a scale of 1 - 5 which is really helpful. I wish that I could select what gender I want to use the unisex names for. That was when I look at a list of boys or girls names I like, there aren't a bunch of unisex names in the list I don't want. Also, some of the phonetic spellings of names are either wrong or don't exist. This is very frustrating when reading names you are unfamiliar with..Version: 2.2.0

✓ Could be betterThis is nicely designed, but it's not very user friendly. And you can only look at lists of popular names for the previous years, you can't browse a list of alphabetical names or names containing certain syllables or starting with a certain letter. And to all the people complaining about notifications...really? There is a nice little "off" button provided in the app, not to mention you can turn off notifications in your phone settings. ✓ Decent app, but ads are taking over.This is a good app. Has a large diverse database and is useful for storing all your favorite names on the fly for review later. ✓ Very good but a quite annoying problemThis app is brilliant it does exactly what it says! But, I would like to add my own name to this application meaning I need to buy the upgrade! I have the paid version on my old iPhone 3gs and now I have the iPhone 4s normally(because I'm using the same apple ID) it wouldn't cost me to buy the paid version on this phone as I purchased it on my old phone but it is asking me to pay for this application again. ✓ Redirected every 30 secondsThis app was great for the first 5 minutes. After that, as I was scrolling through A names (never was able to get any farther than that), I was constantly being redirected to the App Store to some random game to download. I did not click on any adds or any pop up. I simply scrolled through the names and after about 5 redirects in 2 minutes, I deleted the app. There are plenty of websites and apps I can browse baby names for free that do not have constant pop ups or that do not redirect me to games in the App Store. Very disappointed, it was a good app until that started to happen..Version: 2.3.2

✓ Annoying flashing message!The moment I opened up app there was a flashing envelope that said i had a message pending. I couldn't ignore it because the flashing is VERY annoying. So I clicked on it to clear the message, but it takes you to a mandatory questionnaire to win an iPad. I don't believe a word of it and couldn't progress back out of the message. Had to delete entire app. Don't bother!!.Version: 2.0.1

✓ Constant Crashes on iOS 8I usually love this app because I like looking up meanings of names, however it constantly crashes with iOS 8. You can't even open it right now, it just crashes immediately. Other times it crashes when you go to search something. Hope you manage to fix it soon. ✓ Forces reviewI want to use the "genie" feature of the app, and the app won't let me until I have reviewed it. You'd think the app developers would know we would all complain about this and it would drop the otherwise high rating it would likely receive, but that's what they've decided to do. This is the only baby name app I have tried, but I think I might go to the library or a bookstore for name help, as a book I saw yesterday looked much more organized for those of us who are struggling to find a name. As someone else said, you can't view related names, for example. I do like that baby name popularity by year is easily viewable. I'm avoiding trendy names from the recent past..Version: 2.2.1

✓ Good app with obnoxious ads.Best UI and most names available. A previous version allowed sorting and searching using the Top 1000, but that functionality has been removed since the last time I used this app over 2 years ago. It also now has the most obnoxious ads. Change a rating on a name. Popup Ad. Change another name. Pop up ad. ✓ Good app for what I needed it forI like to write a lot of stories and usually find it hard to come up with some decent names for my characters. This app helps me to find names that I like and also those that fit with the characteristics I want the characters to have. 😄.Version: 2.3.1
✓ Quick & DirtyThe app is OK to brainstorm names, and it is free. The interface is weird (e.g. going to the search *section* doesn't display anything until you touch a search *button*) but you get used it to it. But the advertising is ridiculously over-the top. Rotating frequently and appearing *just* next to the buttons so that a careless tap will invoke an ad. Honestly, you eventually tune it out, which can't serve the advertisers very well, so "less" would be better for all parties. Another concern is misspellings of some names: for example, "Vsndyke" for "Vandyke". That's an obvious one, but it lowers my confidence if I were to choose a name that were more subtly misspelled: would I accidentally name my son something profane by substituting the wrong vowel? So, while decent for exploring and brainstorming, if you want to actually PICK a name, you should at least check it (extensively) elsewhere after trying this app..Version: 1.4.2

✓ Good but....It doesn't let you save your place for example, if you are in the middle of searching through the A's and you close the app when you go back in you have to scroll all the way to where you left off so you need to remember where that was. It does give you a lot of options to search from such as biblical and differed nationalities and let's you save and rate your favorite names. If it let you bookmark where you left off I'd give it a 5..Version: 2.3.2
