✓ Good but not quite thereVery helpful for our first day but missing a couple key features that made it difficult to use our second day: (1) DL and DCA use separate plans. If you have a park hopper ticket and don’t mind walking back and forth, the app doesn’t seem to know how to optimize your day. (2) There doesn’t appear to be a way to constrain ride times. For example we wanted to do Grizzly River Run later in the day with a Fast Pass when it was warmer but the Optimize step would always put it early in the morning. This had a ripple effect that led to us to largely ignore the plan. Also, since we always want to do more than we have time and energy for, it would be helpful to be able to tag each item with a level of importance to us. Also, the Optimize step was too risky. We nearly missed the end of the 15 minute Fast Pass grace period multiple times because of unexpected delays. It would be helpful to tell it how much risk we are willing to take. Finally, the app is too slow. Many times we refrained from using it because of the sluggishness. This was especially the case for non essential functions like logging wait time. This may help explain why its wait times were often so far off: Almost nobody is contributing wait times because it’s so sluggish..Version: 1.9.10

✓ Great planning app for any DL vacationI love this app. I have used it several times (as well as the WDW Lines app). It helps to get the most out of a day in the parks. The restaurant suggestions never disappoint. Due to so many ongoing upgrades (Cars Land, soon-to-be Star Wars Land) in the park, I'm sure it is difficult to keep up with the dynamic changes. But this app does a great job as a guide. It is important to go to the website as well to read all of the tips. I've used this app so much, I am able to customize a daily routine and change it on the fly when unforeseen events happen (larger crowds, broken-down rides). ✓ Severely needs a redesignThe app has very helpful information, even since Disney created their own official app with wait times. The touring plans and posted vs. actual wait times feature are worth the subscription. However, this app design looks like it’s about 10 years old. It isn’t even optimized for an iPhone X and newer display, so much of the screen real estate is wasted..Version: 1.9.10

The app allows you to build customized itineraries, and then provides projected wait times. You can move the order around and the app will reassess your plan. ✓ Almost perfectThis app will save you lots of agony. However, I highly recommend reading the book first. The book really lays it all out and the app just keeps you on a plan. Personalize your plan and optimize it as you go along and you won't be disappointed. It would be nice to know how they determine if it is a crowd 3,6 or 9. ✓ Keep It Simple!Perhaps Touring Plans are better suited for the Walt Disney Works Resort parks; however, I’d like to try it again for the Disneyland Resort since I have a slightly longer stay and can spread things out a bit. The TPs tend to compress the plans to the the beginning of the day without any real give in the schedule for fluff time. Break times are included in the program, however I found that they would get rescheduled from time to time. I still think the TPs are great. ✓ Great Help, Even for Experienced ParkgoersI've been to Disneyland many times, and after finally using this app on our trip last week I vowed never to go to the parks without it. We kept close track of how well Lines predicted the wait times, and my family was astonished at how many were accurate down to the minute. While there were certainly a few times that the app underestimated how long we waited, it was never more than ten or fifteen minutes off (and when you're at Disneyland, that is not a bad track record). The crowd estimates seemed accurate and sure made me feel good about what we got accomplished in one day. My Disneyland/DCA visit was much less stressful thanks to this app; having wait times I could count on helped me focus less on the lines and more on the magic..Version: 1.9.8

We’ve depended on being able to search the restaurant menus, to see wait times and to have access to our custom touring plans. We set up some plans before we go. Easy to alter as the day goes on. ✓ The touring plans are great but ...My wife and I got to Disneyland Park at 12:30pm on a day we planned to get there before the 8:00am opening time. Life interfered. We had fun judging the accurate wait times for various attractions displayed on this app, saw displayed Fast Pass return times, and was able to plan accordingly. We had a blast! Your personalized touring plans doesn't have the option of designing a plan that would mesh Disneyland Park and Disney's California Adventure together for a one-day two-park plan. That would be so helpful. I am also going to nitpick, but I probably wouldn't have taken a star away for this. On your list of attractions to ride, along with listing each Disneyland Railroad Station separately, you should also have a one circuit around the park choice too. ✓ Excellent Cure For Post Vacation BluesThis app is great for while you're IN the park, but it's even better for when you're NOT in the park. Let me explain. The chat room, close in feel to "lounges" of other unofficial Disneyland apps, is ripe with quality content conversation. Whether you're planning for your trip, wondering which walking shoes are recommended by DL veterans, or just want to experience more DL discussion to soothe your post vacation blues hangover, it's a great place to check and participate in. As for the service it provides while you're in the park, superior to other apps in that it offers advice along with the wait times. A veteran may see that Indiana Jones is 35 minutes and realize that's a jackpot opportunity to go into stand-by if you don't have a fast pass, but noobs and even anxious vets will appreciate the advice that comes with it in their "go now" or "go anytime, wait time won't change" FYIs. I also highly recommend the companion book, The Unofficial Guide to Disneyland, as it's the most entertaining literature on the park I've found in my seven years as an annual passholder. We didn't follow the plans exactly but even loosely following them, they gave us a general guideline to follow. We never waited more than 25 min for any attraction, and it was a busy summer week. We were able to see just and do just about everything and still had smiles at the end. Without the touring plans, we would have wandered aimlessly. ✓ Very handy appI used this app on our latest trip over 3 days to Disneyland and California Adventure. I found the wait times to be accurate 75% of the time which was very handy. So good to be able to see what the wait times are for all the rides around you or even across the park so you can decide what you would like to do next. Being able to make your own plans and have them stored in the app so you don't miss something you want to see is so very useful. It is also great to be able to sort attractions by alphabetical or by land so you can see what has a short wait time in the area you are in. One of our nights we attended Mickey's Halloween party and it was during that time that the wait times were not accurate at all. This was not a huge concern though as it was just one evening out of our time and if you were not planning to go to Disneyland on a party night then the app would be perfect. One thing I would have liked to be included in the app would have been wait times to see Thor and Captain America. But since Disney has been moving these characters around with Tomorrowland renovations, that might not be possible. I would definitely use this app again on future visits. ✓ Say goodbye to Genie +Honestly! The app, in addition to the Touring Plan, will get you on more attractions than Genie +. My family has used TP (hehehe) in Disneyland from way back before the app when you had to print the plan. We are completely sold on its usefulness. Personally, I love the fact that it can update your plan based on real time input from you and other users in the parks on the day you are there. ✓ Navigation not intuitiveThis is an amazing app, it saved us lots of time and frustration. It was instrumental in our trip planning and helped us feel confident that we could get through most of everything we wanted to in our 3 days at Disneyland/ DCA. Unfortunately we did not find the app to be intuitive during our time in the parks. Rearranging things mid- plan was time consuming and evaluating/ optimizing tended to reset things we didn’t expect. If we added a Fastpass that we weren’t told to (due to availability or change in plans), there wasn’t a place to add in the fact it was a fast pass or a return time for a ride we were already planning to visit later. But overall an amazing tool that made our trip so much better than it would have been; we are not organized people and this helped immensely..Version: 1.9.10

✓ Great Data, Embarrassing UII’m a big Lines fan and have used them for many Disney World and Disneyland trips. The data is amazing and the community is helpful. That said, please please please update the UI for the Disneyland app. It’s embarrassingly outdated and it’s even else when compared to the newly updated and refreshed WDW app. I know the DLR community isn’t as not as the WDW but refreshing the app is essential to growing usage because at this point new users wouldn’t give the app the time of day based on interface alone..Version: 1.9.10
