Acoustic Picture Transmitter Pro for Positive User Reviews

I use this as a really cool photo filterAwesome, use this to flavor your images with ambient sound.Version: 1.0

This app is of high quality and has amazing uses!I fell in love with it when I first downloaded the free version. The free version is very useful, but this is one of those rare apps that I liked so much I bought the pro version. It adds emailing the sound file to any computer among other things. A major update added features and works great with iPhone 6+ / iOS 8.2. I love how true the images are to their originals, even in less-than-perfect conditions at lower sample rates, like those used in a telephone. The linear/logarithmic switch actually changes how the picture is transmitted and helps emphasize the high (harder to receive) frequencies and hence detail. The possibilities are limitless to be able to send pictures by sound--put it in music--disguise (conceal) it with the "noise" feature (great for a short message or symbol). The moving spectrogram is pretty awesome, as birds, whistles, cats and everyday sounds reveal distinct images (which you can save). This app is sophisticated and unique. Kudos to the programmer! A+.Version: 1.1

Cool!Very very very cool..Version: 1.1

Just what I was looking for.I've imagined doing exactly what this app does since way back before cell phones existed. I imagined people sending secret messages by visualizing, through using little handheld fft devices. When texting came out I figured it obsolete. But here it has come to life! This is a dream come to life, man! Props..Version: 1.1

A hidden jewel of an app.I really hope this app still has support. I don’t know if there are any others out there like this. I especially like the frequency selection so I don’t blow ears out. But I have some cool ideas for this. I’ve been messing around with a lot of random sounds to just to see what comes out of it..Version: 1.1

It’s 1963 again!!!This technology was used by NASAs satellites to transmit images, taken in space, back to earth. The principle behind that system is used in this phone app. Very cool. I now use it to broadcast images through my radio set to radio listeners across the country! Fun fun!.Version: 1.1

Please update this amazing appThis app is Amazing. Please, please update it. Such a wonderful tool should come standard with computers and phones. Sharing files crashes the app, and the ability to switch between portrait and landscape would be a wonderful addition..Version: 1.1

IntreaguingI found this app while looking for an Audio Spectrum Analyser While it was a surprise find, I never realised how pictures could be converted into sound (and back) in this way. Gives a really different artistic effect if you enjoy image editing. This is an educational app that also shows the principal of television (through slow scan).Version: 1.0

IncredibleThis is one of the coolest apps ever and it’s so awesome that it’s truly free and it only takes up a single digit amount of megabytes!.Version: 1.1

Very unique!A very cool and unique app. I've never seen anything else like it. If you're looking for something to do absolutely crazy things with photos and images, this is your app. (On the other hand if you're looking for a regular app to transfer photos between phones this is not it!) You can interject and all sorts of your own sounds while the image is being transmitted to deform it quite nicely. Shout, sing, play the radio, go to a crowded public place and try it. The resulting images are one of a kind. You can try the free version first to see if you like it. Warning: this app is totally useless to anyone looking to do high quality "normal" photography. If that's you, stay away. With an app this brilliant and distinctive, the last thing they need is one star reviews because somebody thought it was something it wasn't..Version: 1.1

Cool!Does exactly what it says it does. Just on a whim I tried the free version to test out a spectrogram analyzer on another device. Then bought it. Well done!.Version: 1.0

AwesomeI've been hiding images in recordings and all over the place. Cool app..Version: 1.0

Top NotchVery Nice Does what it says! Very useful. Any chance of opening up the source..Version: 1.1

Really coolLove the app thanks for making it. It would be sweet if you added support for saving images and composing your own images from inside the app.Version: 1.0

Cool party trickVery well done. Lots of fun for acoustics type geeks..Version: 1.0

FascinatingVery interesting little app. Would recommend..Version: 1.0

Amazing and works great! It is uncanny how good the image quality is, and a little bit eerie, although highly scientific in actuality..Version: 1.1

Great app! Works super wellThis app is great it has many things you can’t do with other paid spectrogram apps, and it lets you put pictures into your sound then send it to people. Really wished this app got more attention, it really deserves it..Version: 1.1

Awesome! Why you don't have a million downloads on this is beyond me. Fantastic, I have a new appreciation for fast Fourier transforms now.....Version: 1.0

ScalingPlease include more scaling options in future versions for realtime tweaking.Version: 1.0

Great..Please add a way to save settings Thanks.Version: 1.0

Great way to demo spectrogramsWhy is this thing so much fun? It just is. It's fun to bounce the sound off a wall as you move the receiver around. This creates interesting Doppler distortions. I would like the ability to save images in PNG format as long strip chart recordings..Version: 1.0

Impressive technology demonstrationI write very, very few reviews. This app is one of the most visually impressive demonstrations of how data can be transmitted wirelessly I have ever seen. My professor used it in my engineering seminar to great effect..Version: 1.1
