Average Camera Pro for Positive User Reviews

Capture unique shotsGreat for waterfalls, moving clouds, beach, and traffic.Version: 4.2.2

Update please!I have had this app for years and am a happy consumer, but I really wish the creator of the app would release an update because this app has become pretty obsolete in situations of normal lighting for the latest iPhones. :(.Version: 3.0.1

Good App Needs more instructions on useI have used the app to take low light pictures that are not grainy. One other uses is during the day in a busy location with lists of people walking by that you want to look like no one is there. I set up a tripod, choose 32 or more frames with a few seconds between frames and let it go. When it's done you can't see any people unless they stayed in one location for a long time..Version: 4.2.2

GeniusThis is an incredibly well considered and useful photo app. It provides tools to create effects and images I have wanted for years with my iPhone. Bravo to the developer you filled a big void and provided amazing utility. This is a point and shoot replacement app. Thank you..Version: 3.0.1

Wow, what a find!Got this app because the author created another fave of mine (the recorder). Didn't expect much, have lots of camera apps, but this one is going on my home screen... Yes, useful for low light situations, but it also works remarkably well in normal light. Now the notoriously noisy ipad cam can compete with my little point and shoot. Note: do look at the instruction video, it explains how to create the custom noise profile for your ipad, further improving the maximum quality possible (in short: put the ipad face down in daylight, put a white sheet of paper over the camera, take 64 or 128 shots, hit the N, and select the image as your noise profile). Now, after you shoot a picture, you can select 'remove banding' to get rid of the chroma noise in your picture which depends on the inherent noise pattern of your camera. Absolutely lovely. Oh, and the L in the interface seems to stand for Lock (i think this locks the focus and the exposure, but i'm not sure about the latter) I was just wondering, perhaps this would also be a nice tool to remove moving objects from pictures... Just shoot 128 and if your objects move fast enough, they may just be averaged out. Gonna try that next. Highly recommended..Version: 3.0.1

Still crashing with slow-shutterI've rebooted & reinstalled on my iOS7.1.2 iPhone 5, and it still crashes. Also program could be so much more with dark frame subtraction....Version: 4.2.2

Great!Love using this to get great photos in low light. It's very simple to use as well. Please update to fit larger iPhone 5 screen!.Version: 3.0.1

As noise-free as a D-SLRSo I saw the review in Wired magazine and decided to check it out. The idea behind this app is very simple, but the results are great. Only thing I'd like to see is a smaller gap between each shot, but I'm guessing that's a hardware constraint. Maybe the ability to sacrifice size for speed? Anyway, I was really impressed..Version: 3.0.1

Great, but no iPhone 6 supportApp works OK on iPhone 6 plus, but there is no optimisation for it. Everything looks big and out-of-place..Version: 4.2.1

Love itReally excited to get to use this. I've been looking for a good averaging app I just wish it could be updated for iPhone 5!.Version: 3.0.1

Creativity unleasedAvgCamPro is an app that will let you do things with your iOS device's camera you only dreamed of. One word though, you will need to use a tripod/clamp of some sort or brace your device against something. Hand held won't work. Great price, great app..Version: 4.1.3

Far and away the bestFor me, this is the one and only low light app for the iPhone. Brilliant app. It saves full resolution images that are amazingly noise free, even when taken in very low light. I like clear cam, but come on, average camera pro has no competition for getting high quality low light results. Forget the others, this one delivers low noise in low light. Others don't..Version: 3.0.1

Yes!So stoked this amazing app got a update!!.Version: 4.2.4

Great app. Great support.Very impressed by the photos. When I did have a crashing issue (solution was a simple restart or the phone), the developer got back to me with a solution very quickly. Highly recommended..Version: 4.1.3

One of the best iphone photo app butI've been using avgcampro since my previous phone but when It comes to 5, 5S. It needs update for 4" display. This is one of the best iphone photography app and an update would be great !.Version: 3.0.1

Fantastic Quality, Missing EXIF DataMake no mistake: this app is a true gem. Controlling long exposures is a breeze plus there's an exposure lock which is ideal for shifting light conditions. The quality of the photos is fantastic. It's worth noting the app doesn't currently save location EXIF data. That may or may not be a big deal to most, but I consider it an unfortunate omission. I contacted the developer and he confirms the app does not save this information. Anyone who enjoys seeing their photos on a map or looking up locations when sharing to services like Instagram, Facebook, Flickr, etc should be aware of this. It's the only reason I knock it down to 4 stars..Version: 3.0.1

Great UpdateWas glad to see that you guys added geotagging to the photos. I would however like to see the time and date get stamped to the exif data. Right now the date and time gets overwritten when editing in a separate app, which makes it a pain when sorting lots of photos later..Version: 4.1.3

Brilliant AppFound this through instagram. Make sure it's steady before shooting. Easily worth the 69p :-) Amazed it's not got many reviews..Version: 3.0.1

Everyday App!My go to app when I'm out shooting works very well +A when will be seeing a grid option? That's pretty much the only thing missing I know a lot if mobile photographers as myself a grid is very helpful when out getting that perfect shot making sure every corner is on point hope too see it soon thank you avgcampro team!.Version: 4.1.3

Update crash issueI had that problem too but found out when I updated from my iP5 to iP6 the setting in the device had updated to Not Allow Camera Access, once I activated that setting it worked fine. There should be a pop up which says Avg Cam Pro beds access to your camera or something like that. I love this app and hope it continues to update!.Version: 4.2.1

Awesome appConsidering I use an actual camera for my long exposures I decided to try this app out for when I only have my phone on me for whatever reason. Someone on IG mentioned it. Very fun app. I like the intervals and the combo of the photos so you can achieve a decent long exposure look from a phone. Really cool..Version: 4.2.2

Better than mostAVG CAM is one of the best camera apps I can think of and I’ve bought a lot it’s my go to app when I need. A slow shutter shot or want some creative aspect to my photography. Well done I hope to see more from this developer... See shots on ig instagram/Briancurnel.Version: 4.2.2

Great app! Missing a few key features. As has been said before, the resolution has got to be better. At least have an option that will let us turn that on. Also, it needs an exposure lock and focus lock a white balance lock wouldn't hurt either. It's a really powerful app but those features could make it incredible..Version: 3.0.1

Best multi exposure/ long exposure appsThis is my go to apps for long exposure shots on iphone. Been using it since iphone 6. The best thing about this apps is it stacks multiple images so you can shoot long exposure effect without any filters even during broad day light!.Version: 4.2.4

ExcellentAfter having this app for so long (6 yrs maybe) ..my only worry is that when I get my next iPhone, maybe it will nolonger work ..as there’s always a moment, when this app comes in handy :).Version: 4.2.4

NOT WORKING!!!Just payed a dollar for this app and it doesn't even work. It keeps crashing!.Version: 4.1

IPhone XSPreview issue of app. Or requesting access to camera appears to have been fixed/resolved itself..Version: 4.2.3

The bestI've tried several ( paid ) similar apps .. it's by far the best I came across ever ! Strongly Recommend it.Version: 4.2.2

IPhone 6 crashAlways used this app and loved it. Now that I have an iPhone 6 the app will not stay open and crashes every time. Lame..Version: 4.2.1

Wow, great find!I'm excited to find this great little single-purpose app! Now I have a reason to get an iPhone tripod and to really consider the iPhone a more serious camera tool. I only wonder, what's the L icon for on the main screen? Finally, I wish the gain had an option to work more on the darker areas of the image without blowing out highlights. Looking forward to future improvements..Version: 3.0.1

Almost thereThis app is great for reducing noise on low light photography but it needs to be updated to work well with iPhone 7 with its two lenses and ability to trip the shutter with volume control on earphones. Overall it does what it claims, it just needs upgrading..Version: 4.2.2

Fabulous app!First time using it today in an evening crowd scene outside a church it worked great and as advertised. Looking forward to trying it again in appropriate settings to maximize its power..Version: 4.1.3

Keeps getting betterThe noise reduction is very good and now with the addition of full sensor resolution it is very usable (I still make prints). I would still like to have full meta data. Make it so and we have a 5 star app here..Version: 3.0.1

A great iPhone app for a more serious iPhone photographerI found this app a little difficult to use at first, but the quick video tutorial quickly brought me up to speed. It's a great app that eliminates noise from a low light area, but it's more than that. You can get some great artistic images by making use of a tripod and blurs. I would recommend this to people looking to take their iPhone photography up a notch. This app requires a little patience to use, but the results are worth it. Marc Sadowski The Lens Wipe podcast.Version: 3.0.1

Very good and uniqueGives great results with tripod. Well thought out app..Version: 4.2.2

Superb for any camera userReally adds to shots.Version: 4.1.1

Only of its kind, easy to use, great resultsAs expected, you'll need to use a tripod or lean your phone against something to achieve any result. The results are great with my iPhone 5, giving the camera an effective daytime bulb shutter function, with the benefits of low noise and not needing an ND filter..Version: 4.2.2

Awesome functionI do a lot of a daytime long exposure photography with a dslr and this app creates a great alternative to using Nd filters, really gives a sense of how an image will play out as well as giving me an extra angle to play with. Only thing missing is a cancel button once the process has started, but it's only a minor issue. Great app and already seen a lot of use in the first day since downloading..Version: 4.1.3

Low Light HeavenI've been looking for a App to perform image averaging ever since getting my iPhone. This App does it and does it extremely well. Of course the subject being photographed must not move and phone must be stationary or mounted to a tripod. It really shines in low light with a high number of images to average. I was confused as to how to enable full resolution - just go to the iPhone's Settings where you'll find AvgCamPro listed. If the App becomes unstable under full resolution, try powering off (not shutting off) the phone, then reboot/restart - worked for me on a 4S. Highly recommended!.Version: 3.0.1

Quick Bug FixI have great praise for the maker of this app for his quick 24-hour turn around for fixing a bug. This is a fun program to use..Version: 4.2.4

Great app lacking newer functionalityI have been using this app for years and for blending many exposures over a long time, it is unmatched. Lots of control over number of frames and timing between photos. This said, the UI is dated and it does not offer any access to more than the standard lens on multiple lens iPhones which is very disappointing at this point. I would gladly pay to get this app updated with latest features and functionality because even without these updates, it’s still very good..Version: 4.2.4

Best way to get clear photosI been using this app for over two weeks now. I must say it's fantastic, I never thought my photos would improve in low light with an cell phone camera. Just get if you like taking clear photos with low lighting..Version: 3.0.1

Great tool for high quality photosThis version is more stable on my 4S, and offers wider range of options for shot set-up. I use it for noise reduction in shots with poor light and shadow, for great blurring of water - rivers, fountains, waterfalls etc, and for removing people from landscape and cityscapes. The improved stability also makes it very useful for HDR shots. Lock focus on the highlights for the ‘dark shot' and use the gain option at the end to produce a version with well-lit shadows - the ‘light shot' Combine these in any HDR program and you have a really powerful way to extend dynamic range from a single shot. Perhaps a future version could automate that?.Version: 4.0

Very cool appUser interface is a little basic, but for the price and description — the results are excellent.Version: 3.0.1

An essential camera app that is much in need of an updateThis is a fantastic app, and it's a shame that it has gone so long without an update. Perhaps not the original intent, but this app works as a great long exposure app, capturing movement and translating it in beautiful ways. However, its last update was in 2011, and the app is a bit dated; it doesn't fit the iPhone 5 display, and the output seems a little smaller in terms of file size than other camera apps. Still, you cannot argue with the results! Well worth the purchase if you are trying to get the absolute most out of your iPhone's camera..Version: 3.0.1

Excellent Tool for Creative PhotographyAn excellent app, but requires a lot of work on giving additional functionalities. For example, use of new cameras features now available on new smartphones, e.g. ultra wide or telephoto lens options and RAW output. I look forward to an updated version with ‘useful functionalities’, even if there is a nominal charge, from the developer!.Version: 4.2.4

Great appA DSLR will always take a better picture but apps like these push the teeny iPhone camera to its limits. Awesome job!.Version: 4.1

Nice appNice app, please update for iPhone 5.Version: 3.0.1
