✓ Perfect! Absolutely Perfect!I finally succumbed to modern technology and this was the first education app I downloaded for my toddler. This app is exactly the simple, no frills, lowercase-word-recognition program I was seeking for my two-year-old. The recorded voice sounds like an encouraging kindergarten teacher who gets just the right amount of excited when a kid achieves a goal. Our daughter likes this one better than the “Endless” series that a friend recommended. I can see her enjoying this on special occasions for at least the next year. ✓ Just what we neededThis is a great app to help little ones with their spelling, especially the lists of words they bring home from school. ✓ Wonderful for my special needs kidsThis app has helped my 3 and 5 year old children tremendously. I have created all our own lists of names and items for them to explore. I love that I can customize everything with my voice and add whatever they are working on at the current time. My daughter has CP and my son has Down syndrome so this app has been helpful for many of their therapies and "down time" to play..Version: 1.5
✓ Awesome appThere are many things I love about this app. Its so customizable: both my girls, one with disabilities and one without, can practice spelling on it, and I can easily adjust how easy or difficult to make it. I love how customizable it is. My older girl has disabilities. We're able to make her spelling word very personal, relevant and motivating but putting pictures of favourite people, Justin Bieber, friends, family, etc and she can has the literacy reinforced while she practices spelling. My daughter has significant fine motor disabilities and yet can easily drag letters down the screen so that she can spell. The app is so easy to program. She is in grade 3. Her teacher and classmates can put the word wall words, the weekly spelling words, her own personal spelling lists and the core vocabulary for any unit in school into the speller app. When her class was studying magnetic forces or different kinds of communities, she had spelling words that reinforced the vocabulary development for each subject in school. She is motivated by this app and really enjoys it. Its the first time that she's been able to participate in class doing the same spelling work as everyone else. Just a wonderful app..Version: 1.6

✓ Great app but...This is a great app but it is a bit too easy for my first graders. If the letters are close they are automatically put in the correct spot. The kids don't really have to know how to spell for that. It would be better if you could put the word and then "submit" and see if it's indeed correct. Other than that great app..Version: 1.6

✓ A great appThis app is excellent. I love how flexible the settings are, allowing me to finely tune the difficulty to match my son's abilities. Visually, the simple layout is beautiful, and doesn't have unnecessary distractions. A few things that I think would make the app even better: * Allow letters to be put in the wrong spot. Children learn when they make mistakes. * When a word is finished, rather than saying the letter names one by one, say the sound the letter makes. For example, for the word "shade", bounce the s and h letters together, then bounce the a and e (indicating that the e is changing the sound of the a), then bounce the d. * When scattering tiles for a new word, make sure they don't obscure the word in the background * Make the touch surface multi-touch aware. If a second finger touches the screen, the tile being dragged does weird things..Version: 1.5

✓ Perfect for struggling readersThis is the first customizable app I have found that let's me target the words I want my lowest readers to learn. Not only does it say the word for them, thus reinforcing the sight word practice but it also spells the word for them after they have a chance to spell the sight word. Perfect!.Version: 1.6

I am mum to boy twins who aren't talking and have other learning delays. You wanted feedback: my boys prefer your voice to mine, even though we're English. I have, however, over recorded some of the letter sounds to make them the phoneme rather than the letter name - where it fits the game. I like that your settings give such flexibility as I have customised most games to suit our needs. ✓ Great app! Minor suggestionI love the organization of the levels that correspond perfectly with the Dolch word lists! I use this daily with my kindergarten and first grade special education students. I would love to have a font option for ball and stick or a font other than D'nealian! ✓ Fantastic little app!Installed for when I see my niece and nephew, 3 and 5 respectively and have customised the speech by recording my voice for each letter and word. 20 minutes well spent to replace the American voice; my sister-in-law would not want me teaching them the accent! ✓ Great for learning lettersMy 3 year old loves this game. I downloaded 8 flash card type apps and this is by far the most popular, many of the others have already been deleted. She has only played it 3 times and I switched off the letter hints and even the written words for a while. Since she can't read or spell yet her accuracy is amazing - I have realised she is using the magnetic type function of the letter where they leap into the right box even when she was heading for a wrong one. The ability to turn this off too would make this game outstanding (even more than it is). We have all had lots of fun recording "well done" types of words to add to your voice lady. Even Granny's dog was barking "well done!". We also love the ability to add photos and our own words and rerecord the ones that are pronounced 'incorrectly' (for us Brits.) Best of all we love that she keeps asking to play her letters game!.Version: 1.5

I can add whole new lists of words encouraging my 3 yr old to learn to spell the names of his favourite animals, toys and even the names of his friends and family.
