✓ Not for AustraliaThe app itself appears to work well. Unfortunately the maps available are predominately from the USA - which means they lack detail and resolution in Australia. When using topo maps to view the Hunter Region in NSW, significant details where missing. Roads looked to be correct but tracks were missing as where campgrounds. This is not acceptable for a topo based gps. There is the option to import maps, but why would I pay the subscription so I can use my own maps? As I said, the app appears to work well, but without reliable maps it is useless..Version: 3.6.1

✓ DisappointedI bought this yesterday because it had so many rave reviews everyone saying it’s really easy to use. I don’t find it intuitive at all.I just tracked my first walk, found it really hard to add accurate waypoints and even harder to delete the ones I didn’t want. Got home tried to remove 2 waypoints and I seem to have deleted the whole walk without even getting an alert. I also wanted to pre-plan a route and that is so hard to follow the instructions. And then the manual doesn’t even explain all the symbols on the screen oh I give up if I could send my £3.99 back I would right now.Version: 3.1.6
✓ Synchronisation is still really poor and unreliableThus would be a great app if the synchronisation worked OK, but its completely unreliable. Sometimes stuff randomly disappears, other times it will appear on iPad but not on computer or vice versa. Been through all sorts of steps with the developer and just can’t get it to work because of some Apple limits to do with how the app works or something. Otherwise this would be a great app..Version: 3.4.1
✓ GPS tracksThe app is alright not the best. The maps don’t load out in the field unless you have cell signal or wifi , but you can still create a route and mark waypoints..Version: 4.0.2
✓ Offline mapping seldom works.Love the GPS waypoints picture tracking! Found it challenging to create routes and tracking when online and offline? Google maps w timeline much easier and automated but not as accurate as GPS tracking. Roads and trails did not show on map when offline? This App provides a lot more detail and options than google maps, but along with that, much more learning the program and processes. On my last 8 day Jeep trip I used Delorme Topo 10 w GPS device attached to laptop computer, Google maps, and GPS Tracking App. I wish there was an app that combined all 3 Apps into one! Delorme worked best offline but lacked detail of GPS Tracking and ease of use of Google Maps..Version: 3.3.4

✓ Frustrating user interfaceI chose this over similar better known apps like Gaia and All Trails because it supposedly collects less data but it’s frustrating to use and has essentially no documentation. For example if you recall a previously completed track on the map there’s no obvious way to get rid of it to start a new track. The app assumes you want to continue and resume the old track even if it’s days later. Then you’re given the choice to save or delete the track you only wanted to view. If you click save it creates a duplicate of the already saved track. Most are not going to click delete for fear of losing their previously saved track. This is a classic example of a competent developer designing an app that works for his needs but isn’t very user friendly to others. Various functions are scattered all over the place with some under obscure icons. A nice simple single hierarchical menu structure would be much better and more intuitive..Version: 3.7.1
✓ Nonexistent featuresGood app would be a 4 if it didn’t have listed features from the pro version that only work during the trial period and stop as soon as you have a year paid, this happened to 3 of us, i emailed the developer and got a quick response with a few suggestions, after none of them working he said he’d take a few days and look into some things and i never hard from him again, that was 2 months ago.Version: 4.0.6
✓ Nice app but not fully functionalI really like the app and I think it is great. However, I have deleted many waypoints I no longer want and they continue to pop back up on the map even though they are deleted and no longer a part of my waypoints. If it wasn’t for this I would definitely give it 5 stars but at this rate the app will be un-usable if I cannot delete old waypoints properly..Version: 4.0.4
✓ Great platform with lots of room for improvementThis is a great app. I have lots of landmarks and it seems to overwhelm the system. It deletes the points from the map. They are still saved, but I have to go back and read them to the map. - The navigation from present location to the waypoint needs improvement. I don’t want to use another app for that. - Lastly, there are times that I need to enter coordinates and need to know where that point is. This doesn’t have that. I can enter the coordinates, but I have no idea where that point is..Version: 3.9.6

✓ GPS is waaay offWhile this app fulfilled my initial intended purpose for use it failed to pass muster. It did good in that it has accurately tracked my time, distance, and speeds for day hikes and displayed them on a map, which was the reason I downloaded the app. Where it fails HARD is waypoints. The GPS coordinates provided were very inaccurate. I am a member of a specialized search and rescue team. Our primary GPS equipment failed during a long operation so I took out my phone to use this app. We were using GPS waypoints to report locations of victims for recovery. While the pin was in the right spot on the map the coordinates provided, which I sent to command for followup by a recovery team, were several MILES from my location. ✓ Great idea but failed to track correctlyUsed this for the first time at the weekend. I used it to track my path and log any finds but use of a waypoint marker whilst I was metal detecting. It seemed to start off ok but later in the day it stopped recording my path so I ended up with only half of my tracking showing and worse still, any waypoint I entered for the finds were off by a huge distance. ✓ Better Mapping Apps AvailableJust renewed my subscription and then learned this app has discontinued Cal Topo maps, now the only USGS topo map available limits zoom capability and locks it at a level so that it’s not possible to read elevation profiles or names of geographic features. The only other topo map, from ESRI is outdated and hence inaccurate. There is still a Cal Topo USFS map supposedly available but it loads incomplete with interspersed grey blocks and is unusable even with strong WiFi connection. Other features, gps tracking etc. work fine. I’ve found other apps available with much better maps and capabilities IMO..Version: 3.6.9
✓ Version 3.2 is a downgradI love this app, and I use it all the time. But version 3.2 is terrible! The modern touch that was added in looks alright, but when you try to swipe down, you sometimes bring down the notification menu. I thought it was perfectly fine how it was. In fact the whole user interface was better in 3.1.8 And maybe that’s just a preference thing, but the icon that symbolizes your position and heading, that just spins around the whole time along with the compass at the top. It never stops. I tried closing out and restarting, but it doesn’t help it. I opened up the Apple compass that comes already downloaded and that works just fine. Please just revert to the old dashboard..Version: 3.2
✓ Won’t be Re subscribingLoved the app when map box maps were usable had the best data on them for hunting / downloading information. Going to stick to offline google maps and Avenza app as the satellite maps used for the app are woeful now and the topographic maps available for download are even worse.
