✓ Useful. Watch out for background operation thoughI bought the iRig Mic a few weeks ago and was waiting for this recorder. The free version works well but doesn't have the waveform editor (cropping and cutting unwanted audio) and also doesn't let you export the full uncompressed 16 bit recording. So the full version is well worth the asking price. Watch out for the preference setting "Background Audio" which for some reason defaults to ON. This means that when you try to close the App, you get a red warning banner that it has not quit. If you don't need the App to play your recording in the background you can turn this setting off..Version: 1.0
✓ Can't believe how well it works.I bought the iRig Cast mic to use on my iPhone for portability over quality and I was really surprised when the audio tracks recorded with this app were as good and sometimes better than the audio that I recorded using my Tascam handheld unit. I still prefer the Tascam for the operational functionality but when it's not an option the iRig recorder is the way to go..Version: 1.5.3

✓ Works well with the IRig Pro Duo.The volume works well with the hardware. Two improvements would be a pan setting for stereo two mic recordings and somehow get it to work in the background so it could be used with Facebook Live. The work around for FB Live is to not use this app and use the camera in the phone with the IRig but it comes out hard panned stereo like a psychedelic sixties record. If the app or the iRig could add panning I’d give it 5 stars..Version: 3.0.3
✓ Needs more featuresThis is really good and the iRig mic is superb, but it could be a lot better. 1. Introduce multi track recording, like what there is in vocalive. This would be brilliant if you could record something, then record something else while listening to the first recording. 2. Needs some effects like reverb or background noise cancellation. ✓ Excellent w/ iRig Pro hardwareThis is so close to something amazing. The biggest thing is who in their right mind would select stereo / 44.1 KHz as a default setting for recording? Also, why do I have to change it to Mono and 48KHz every time I launch the app? Moreover, if I swap to another app, it forgets my settings. Once you select these settings, they should stick... Otherwise, a huge time-saving app paired nicely with IK's hardware. WIFI transfer / IP address port 5555 is excellent - although buggy at times. Fix these annoyances and you've got a winner!.Version: 2.0
✓ Good. Waiting for v2.0Overall a good app. Does what it says, even gives you a little tutorial manual. Registration is a little hassle, and shouldn't be there cuz of the price of the app, but I had no problems. Would like to have ability to MMS my recordings. Maybe I missed it? Thanks..Version: 1.0

In settings turn off Auto Rec & Background Audio to Rid the red stripe of doom, also if you own other IK products you just keep using the the same registration. It makes it easy, email, user name & password. I think if you could import audio, iTunes songs or maybe bounce tracks from VocaLive & back again I would give 5 stars. But maybe IK can put that in the update. I don't think I would have missed that one considering that it's supposed to go with VocaLive. Maybe the two programs should be merged together they both have something the other needs. IK how about a job???.Version: 1.0
✓ Awesome app. Please add fast forward/rewind buttonsI love the iRig Recorder app. Definitely the best recording app out there. As an opera singer I use it all the time to record lessons and rehearsals. This means I need to go back to the recording and listen back and forth a great deal. You made this really easy in the Song module of Amplitube. However in iRig Recorder it's not that easy. Beeing able to see the sound wave and have a geographical notion of the recording is great, but really nothing replaces a fast forward and rewind buttons. Since we're at it, I would request another function that is really rare but incredibly useful: rewind by a set number of seconds: 20 seconds, 10 seconds, 5 seconds. If the parameter were programmable that would be awesome. But it's also possible to just have a short rewind time set and just press three times. Also, there is no easy way to export a file from iRig Recorder to Amplitube in the iPhone. Therefore if you could implement some of the awesome functions in Amplitube in iRig Recorder, that would be great. In the meantime, a simple fast forward button and rewind button would be a great but simple enhancement..Version: 1.0.3
✓ Seems good butIt needs more features tho an example of one it really needs is to be able to cut/paste on the timeline of the recorded track so you can move/remove or rearrange parts of your recording it could also do with being able to adjust the eq of the track too but It's a good start and I've not had any issues with it (iPhone 4) hope to see the features I mentioned and others in the next update. It lacking the ones I mentioned is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.Version: 1.0

As there is no copy/paste I'm more likely to use another app for my music making - but as iRecorder is very quick & easy to use I'd like to see this feature included. ✓ Good but strange!I found this a really good piece of software as is true of the hardware. But considering how sophisticated these guys must be - why are they using FTP instead of something say like dropbox? I just wonder how many people have a server with FTP access compared to say a dropbox account. If you read reviews guys great job but please bring the software into the 21st-century..Version: 2.0
