✓ Ok but needs the ability to sync apps between devicesI have downloaded this app to help my wife and I stick to a fairly rigid monthly budget. After reading the instructions and entering a few expenses, new categories for us and playing around with it generally we thought it was ace. Then I thought it would obviously be a lot better if my wife could also download the app on her iPhone and we could sync them as we have a joint account. Frustratingly this facility is not available - it doesn't even allow the same app to sync between devices ie although when I downloaded it it automatically downloaded on both my iPad and iPhone, it doesn't copy the information entered between devices. I contacted the developer and they're only solution was for my wife and I to have separate apps and divide our monthly budget between us!!! With so many apps having the ability to not only sync between devices but also to sync with other apps belonging to others I feel the developers have really missed a trick here.. I will be using it but resent having to pay for it - it should be free until they resolve these issues..Version: 1.9
✓ Mixed viewsWhen I got this app and began my first month of using it, it was brilliant it recorded everything and really easy to use. Then in the 2nd month of using it after entering my income and setting the monthly period I soon realised that instead of creating a new data set the app simply continued from the previous month like a roll on effect. I don't want this app to roll on anything I want to enter my monthly input and look at data for just that month on my phone not have a roll on amount and I then see the data for the previous months including the current..Version: 2.8
✓ Need to sort reoccurring transactions by date, PLEASE UPDATE APP.Nice app but the I'm not a big fan of the UI. Could to with the ability to sort the reoccurring transactions to display in date order from 1st of the month down to the end of the month. To the developer: PLEASE UPDATE TO ALLOW US TO SORT ALL REOCCURRING TRANSACTIONS INTO DATE ORDER. So we can see what bills are due out easier, thanks..Version: 4.34

✓ Needs some fixing but otherwise a good app.I primarily purchased this app as I could create my own categories and view each months expenditures in a pie chart. It does that pretty well. However, there seems to be one major flaw in the apps date filters. Say I spent £20 on the 27th September 2012, it's created in the transaction tab at the bottom. Good so far. Now, if you change the date filter to 27th August 2012 to 27th September 2012 the £20 expenditure is not included in the results. You have to change the filter to the 28th in order to view transactions made on the 27th. So what that means is transactions that fall onto the same date as the date filters, they do not appear which is rather stupid. Hopefully they fix that in an update, so only 3 stars for now..Version: 2.5

✓ Great but needs fixing...Overall i love this app but I really hate how it includes money transfers between accounts as income or expenditure. So if I move £1000 from my current account to my savings account it says I’ve spent £1000, which I haven’t. It’s hard to therefore accurately compare income vs expenditure. ✓ Great apart from a couple of issues'Almost' perfect BUT crashes when you turn the phone sideways when viewing graphs (instructions say you get more info when rotating screen) and the interface could do with a bit of an update(still looks like iOS 6 app). On my iPhone 6 everything looks chunky. You should give it a modern look and maybe reduce the font size so more can fit on the screen..Version: 3.1
✓ FrustratingI cannot seem to get my accounts to balance. I have set up my income and then record my outgoings but then I include a transfer between accounts and it records it in the overview as an income and an expense which then makes it look as I have more income and expenses than what is correct. My end balance overview on each account also does not match up to the transactions balance total which makes it totally frustrating. I have even deleted all items and set it up again but still does not rectify itself. Not as straight forward as people make it out to be..Version: 2.3
✓ Not user friendlyI keep getting lost just trying to find certain screens of the app that should be quick to find. With design as the creator you might think your app is wonderful because you know where everything is. However the progression and navigation for first time users just makes it totally unappealing. ✓ Crowded and confusingIt's ok. The app is crowded and can be confusing. God forbid you enter one wrong thing (which is very easy to do) because on this app it's easily unnoticed and can mess up your entire account calculations severely. ✓ This app is highly frustrating!When you enter a transaction and then click on the date in order to record the date it came in, the app does not recognise your command. You keep pressing "edit" yet it does nothing. You therefore have to come out of the lig expense screen and go to edit transactions. To do this for every expense is very long winded and frustrating. I am currently looking for a more user friendly app and am looking forward to deleting this. Not even worth 59p. So glad I didn't pay more for this..Version: 2.5
✓ Utterly frustratingI wonder if the people who put this up for one of the best in UK, even used it before they rated it. Where should I start? The user Interface is not user-friendly. The progression through the app is not logical. For example, it takes one click to adjust a "time period" which you might want to do only once, but it takes three clicks to get to your expenditure chart. I find the interface to be ugly, but I guess that's subjective to my aesthetic preferences. The font is obnoxious it barely fits in the buttons, just looks really bad. I've seen better designed free apps, but I guess it is not a question of money but a question of good taste. I haven't looked for a better app yet, so don't have a recommendation, I just know that this app is a waste of time and money..Version: 2.8
✓ This is a pretty good appThe app is good, but could be great if in the transaction section you could filter not just by account, but by expense category. I would like to be able to export in a csv file how much I spend for the month on food, fuel, utilities etc. And then at the end of the year I could filter and export how much I spent in those categories for the year. So far your app is the closest/best app for discarding the old hand ledger book. THANKS!.Version: 2.2
✓ Seemed so good....I was looking for an app that did everything this promises to. However, I go to enter my wages and bills that come in / go out on the 20th June...and set the dates to view from the 19th June to 19th July and apparently I have no transactions. They are showing in my recurring list so why on earth aren't they being picked up? Very frustrating and annoyed that I've paid for something that doesn't work properly. Will be keeping it hoping like mad for an update soon so I can actually use....because if it worked I think this would be a brilliant app!!.Version: 2.3

✓ Not useful, waste of moneyI bought this app after it was featured in the Times and was disappointed . It is a very basic app which gives you little control of how you want it to work. Also it doesn't give you an overview of the monthly/ weekly spend etc, no graphs, pie chats erc. Not very intuitive either. I have already downloaded a free and much better app that does everything I need and that this app doesn't. Would NOT recommend..Version: 1.7
✓ At least it's quick and simple...Easy to input expenses and nice that you can create your own categories. Unfortunately it's not very intuitive. Navigation between the screens doesn't flow well. And some of the screens are kind of unnecessary. There should be a settings page to eliminate the need for some of the screens and replace them with more pertinent information. A whole screen for time periods and accounts? Kinda useless. It would also be nice to be able to add notes to the transactions. Especially useful for miscellaneous categories (other) and for expenses that don't fall into any real category. Did I mention there should be a settings page? That way you could also define a reoccurring time period to reference. What's with the charts. The categories chart labels all fall outside of the frame of my phone. I have to rotate to see two, then rotate again to see the other two. That's right. Only a label for the top 4 not every one of the categories. And I paid an extra 99 cents for that. Hurting. Lastly it looks very plain and boring. I like it even less after writing this review. It's a little better than using the calculator and notes I guess.Version: 1.9
✓ Would be perfect if User could also create SUBcategories.Need to be able to create Subcategories. This seems to be a shortcoming of many "spend tracker" apps (i.e. not just this one). For example, under a "FOOD" Category, need to be able to FURTHER breakdown to Subcategories such as, say, "Groceries", "Dining Out", "Coffee House", "Delivery", "Bar", "Snack", or whatever a user might themselves deem an important expense to track. Similarly with, say, an "AUTOMOBILE" Category. Might want Subcategories such as, "Fuel", "Maintenance", "Tires", "Car Wash", etc. That said, this app seems better than a lot of the other "spend tracker" apps out there. Just wish it had flexibility for users to create Subcategories, too..Version: 1.7
✓ Not as good as hopedClunky interface, doesn't look nice, switching between apps takes you back to the first screen (annoying when consulting other apps like safari for transaction amounts, only to switch back to this app and its lost what you were doing). Not iphone 5 enhanced. Would be nice if the accounts screen kept an overall net worth of all accounts together. Ended up deleting it and choosing a competitor which cost more but was much better..Version: 2.5
✓ Very nice AppThis is the one your looking for peoples, fully customisable and a breeze to use. As mentioned by other users all this excellent app needs is password protected access, hopefully that will come in future updates and then I will award a 5th star. The main issue with this app was the lack of password entry, which in all honesty taking what data this app stores into consideration, should of been included from initial release. The update has arrived and the devs have the audacity to charge a further payment for this feature !! Absolutely outrageous !! That should be free and is a disgusting way to squeeze more money out of people. Do not, I repeat, do not buy this app until the devs reverse this disgusting rip off.
