✓ Another home runSample Wiz is proof that a good music app needs an expert to oversee all aspects of its production. Rudess seems to have found the right partners for these projects as they have channeled his expertise beautifully into not only practical but also fun apps. Also, like MorphWiz, SampleWiz is both for the novice as well as the expert. I personally may be a drummer, but I too am loving this app for its intuitive interface and great entertainment. ✓ Did not see it comingOK, first off, I have to admit that I am a bit freaked out by how powerfull this thing is. I did not expect it to be a toy at all, but observing how all its different interfaces and modules came together to achieve a single sound design goal was jaw drapping. ✓ From toy to toolThis has always been a fun app and now with Audiobus support you can have it in the input slot and output slot at the same time And something like Tornado in the effects slot and re sample your Sample excellent stuff..Version: 1.4

✓ Awesome appilcation with one flaw!This is a awesome application except for one flaw the application does not shut down when you push the close button you have to reset you ipod to shut it off. A off button would be nice. Other than that it is a great application it does what it supposed to do and the rest is up to your imagination..Version: 1.3

✓ A step beyond.So there's samplers and then there's SamplWiz. The app architecture is brilliantly matched to the iPhone interface. The presets are more than enough to whet your appetite for some creative adventures, and the sound is powerful and clear. This is one handy toolkit for serious players and even non-musicians could have vast amounts of fun with this. PS - I had an issue with the app shutting down right after launch. I tried a few things, one of which was to disable the play audio on startup and the wizard animation. Don't know what fixed it but haven't had a problem since..Version: 1.4

✓ Excellent quality, excellent valueSeems a bit pricey, but well worth the currency - why? Because it's easy to get something good straight off the bat , plus there's lots to explore as you go along. My one complaint? Why not have a big button for save , just like there is for record . This is the one part of the interface that I found confusing, when it should be one of the least confusing... Other than that, you get three very good quality types of sampling - granular , old skool, and modern. Each one has a different flavour, and they are all very powerful. I love sampling tools for iPhone . This , along with sir sampleton and sampletoy are my faves - all for different reasons . Enjoy..Version: 1.3

✓ Not badThis is a pretty good app.. Quite playable on the iPad. (Too small on the iphone/ipod; at least for my fat fingers.) A little slow for startup, and you have to dig into the prefs in the Settings app to disable the jingle at boot when using it in a live setting; in case you leave and re-enter the app and iOS has decided to vacate it for you. It's still got a few lingering 1.0 issues, but the Wizdom guys are taking care of them. Otherwise, an actual playable instrument, unlike most..Version: 1.0

Or, use the phrase or any sound as it naturally sounds. One minor complaint and one major. It would be nice to be able to tweak the sounds more--than again, that's probable what the clipboard is for: haven't figured out how to transfer sounds to any of the listed apps--and I own all of them. Second, and more importantly, Jordan you make too many neat and tempting apps and I can't afford them all! Guess that's just how it goes. (Though I keep thinking Gimme Gimme Gimme--I want want want.) ✓ What a delight!Need I say more? This is yet another incredible app from Wisdom Music. What's so wonderful about the efforts Jordan, Kevin and team have put into this is that, like other apps Jordan has either made or sponsored, the fundamental control and performance ideas are truly revolutionary uses of the multi-touch interface. While replications of traditional synthesizers, DAWs and sequencers on iPad/iPhone are interesting, they really don't leverage the unique possibilities of this kind of interface. Morphwiz, and now Samplewiz, like Hexatone, do. In spades! But not at all at the expense of lovely sound quality, either. The musical and sonic possibilities of Samplewiz simply go beyond what's possible anywhere else. At a time when the big-corporation MI business seems to be getting increasingly conservative and unimaginative in their latest offerings, rehashing tech and interfaces they've been purveying for almost 20 years.... wow. What a refreshing and stunning inspiration this is! Thanks, peoplez! Keep on going! I hear Ipad3 is not far over the horizon. I'll be buying it for your apps above anything else..Version: 1.0
✓ Outstanding!This is an incredible app with so many uses. Sure you can mess around and play - there are dozens of options and variables to choose from, making whatever sound you sampled sound exactly as you like. Or if you want a more pro music experience it's ridiculously easy to plug into your midi keyboard (using apple camera kit) and play with on there, record from or even use live as I do! The presets and samples I have on here now sound better than on my original keyboard so I not only use this to create and edit sounds but also to output them. It does everything! What a bargain! And if you're a DT fan like me Jordan has put in a few familiar voices ;) can't recommend enough..Version: 1.3

✓ Coolest Musical Tool AppI have used a lot of the different tools for the iPad and most of them have been ok at best. This app by Jordan RUDES is fun and easy to make music with. ✓ Crashes solutionJust downloaded and installed this app. The app crashed repeatedly on startup on my Ipad Air, even after Ipad reset. The solution was to delete the app, then re-download it and reinstall it. I think the Ipad memory needs to be totally clear on installation. Anyway, once working it's a really cool sampler, and makes a nice addition to the Samplr app, which is also very good. I would have given 5 stars if I had not had this installation problem! ✓ Great sound design toolI have been looking for a sampler use in a creative way. This is it. I like to find the hidden sound within a sound and this app excels in taking a found sound to an unexpected place. It is intuitive to use and sounds really good. The three sample playback types give you a lot of options. The regular option of changing pitch slower or faster playback is the one we are most familiar with. It works as you would expect. The granular option is great for taking a sound into nasty sounding territory. My favorite is the option called Modern. It preserves a great deal of the character of a sound for much more of the full keyboard range without turning it into a "chipmunk" sound. There are options for control volume with the position of your fingers on the keys. It makes for some expressive playing. The only complaints that I have is that the name sounds like it's some sort of urine testing kit and the wizard cartoon that looms up from the background is distracting while in use. There is no end to how annoying that cartoon becomes and I think it undermines the seriousness of this wonderful, creative app. I really wish there was a way to turn off this last feature. Would be nice to have 2 Osc and an envelope filter would really beef up this app. Please please update or release a newer build would pay again for it. Still waiting. This is a very basic app in it fullest which makes it what it is. Simple straight forward and works quite nicely. I always looked up to Dream Theatre because my friend Scott played me lots of Tony Macalpine, Malmstein, Dream Theatre and ZAPPA. He played drums, I keys. Best time of my life 80's Las Vegas. Sample Wiz is a great simple to use FRICKEN DOWNRIGHT MARVEL of musical wants and little to no side crap. I love it and like I said - EPS, had S750 with disks and monitor! s550 (wow talk about time investment) the Akai's and the EMU's were great because the gnarly filters and effects that made its mark profoundly on the slamming Drum and Bass scene (Ed Rush and Optical, Bad Company UK, Tech Itch, Cause 4 Concern, Konflict, Acen, Total Science, etc.) that over the top filtering I have yet to hear equal in a plug in or app (even crud) but thank you for the great versatile portable sampler - it is EXACTLY what I was looking for!.Version: 1.4

✓ Almost 5 starsInnovative,exciting, useful and cool to use. Why not give it 5 stars you ask? You rushed the release in my opinion Jordan. Can't name a patch? Yep that's a fairly major thing that should be there. I don' t need 14 patches called " nightmare piano" Also, the "modern" mode is flawed, adds some weird noise and amplitude changes and doesn't make up for the lack of multisampling at all.. ✓ Awesome for any Sound DesignerThis is a terrific app for any Sound Designer. Using it just once in a project will justify its cost. I don't use it in a musical sense, I use it to create interesting sci fi sound design and can usually come up with something uniquely creative in less than 10 seconds. The ability to get hands on and just play to experiment is priceless. As a suggestion for future updates I'd like to see more input and output syncing options. ✓ Next Gen AppI have a lot of IPad musical apps but this one just made my jaw drop. It reminds me of the early experimental days of electronic music. ✓ ImpressedI researched this app a bit by watching the video and reviews. I wanted something professional in terms of creating new sounds. I own Logic and several good Vsts. I find this app very well done and easy to use. Seeing that the last update addressed low mem on iPad 1 closed the deal for me. Sure Midi core would be nice and I would not be surprised to see it added in a later update. I've only owed it a few hours and I don't have that buyers regret you get with so many apps. ✓ Fun to use, good resultsVery impressed with this, excellent features and good quality sound. No crashes (iPad 2) and haven't noticed any excessive battery consumption. I love the different options for playing a sample, and it really delivers as a performance tool. Would have given it 5 stars but the UI graphics let it down. I don't appreciate a badly drawn wizards face zooming up at me under the keys when I'm trying to play. It's distracting, and cheapens what is actually a competent, professional tool. Please provide a skin selection option in the next upgrade so users can choose something a bit more user friendly and professional looking. There are a few issues with the user interface, having to scroll through options, the slightly odd file browser...all a bit weird looking and sometimes awkward to use. Another improvement would be the ability to import samples directly from iTunes via the app, without having to copy over files using a PC. Minor niggles though, considering you get a fully fledged performance sample tool for the price of a magazine. But please, tone down the graphics a bit!.Version: 1.1

One would be the ability to reverse all or a portion of a sample. The other being a section that can track you're finger across the wave so you the finger would be the needle that you can track forward or in reverse at any speed..Version: 1.0
✓ Atypical samplerWhile this is probably the most "normal" interface of all your apps, it still puts an intuitive twist on things. There are modes and functions that are much more than meets the eye.
