✓ Notes only in landscape modeI use all calculators in portrait mode. Sad to say, this only has the ability to write notes in landscape mode. Flip the iPad back to portrait and your notes are gone. Secondly, I got the purchased upgrade to remove ads. Now every time I open the calculator I see an add at the bottom, and a text box opens telling me I own the purchased upgrade, then asks me if I want to use it...All this time the ad is flashing down at the bottom. One would think that if I purchased it to be ad free then I'd always want to use it that way. These are 2 annoying features that mess up an otherwise decent calculator..Version: 2.61

✓ Bad for right-handed people & Apple Pencil usersThis app is actually quite smooth, however unlike many of the other calculator apps on the market that allow you to toggle your “scratch paper” to the left or right side of the calculator, the paid version of this app only allows for the paper to be to the left of the calculator. This is an ideal setup for left handed users but makes it virtually unusable for right-handed people using the Apple Pencil, as your hand will erase the numbers on the calculator or will enter unintentional digits as you are writing a note. This is a huge oversight with regards to app design. Please fix and I will give 5 stars!.Version: 2.53
✓ No Widget?I was really excited to have a widget calculator. In the app I can customize how the widget will look but I can’t actually put the widget on my Home Screen. The OS does not show Calculator! as an app with an available widget. The app will get 5 stars when it actually gets the widget..Version: 2.65
✓ Quite goodWorks well, it's handy to see what have been entered before but it could benefit from more flexibility for the % function and from the ability to delete the last digit entered. Price was ok for the app though and it is still better than the built in app. It's annoying that it always starts in landscape mode..Version: 2.00
✓ Good calculator...This calculator would be perfect if 2 things were changed. The +- symbol should be moved elsewhere. It’s not a commonly used button. And it’s consistently mistaken to the + symbol The other thing I’d like to see is a conversion tab. Converting units of measurements for you. Length, volume, etc... ✓ Almost perfect appThe app is great, but it needs one major improvement - the ability to erase part of the notes. I jot down figures using my Apple Pencil, but if I make a mistake, the only option the app gives me is to erase everything. It would be great to have an eraser to just erase the mistake. ✓ Unusual Keyboard LayoutOverall, this is a good iPhone calculator. The "landscape" calculator has a standard key layout, and it is fine. However, the "portrait" calculator has a very unusual layout that can easily generate mistakes by the user. More specifically, the +/- key on the portrait calculator is located directly above the = key, which is NOT a standard position for that key. Normally, the + key is located directly above the = key. ✓ Not free as advertisedThis app is advertised as being free for a limited time, which would suggest it is the full paid version being offered for free for a limited time. However it has ads and you have to pay to remove them. Therefore it is not free as advertised, and is no different to other free apps that have a paid version.Version: 1.00

✓ Good but should offer flexibility with the paperThis is great but the paper, for making notes, is on the left side! Don't get me wrong, but I support both left handed people and right handed people. It is just that there should be an option to allow the customers the choice of on which side they want the paper to be. For me, I would prefer it should be on the right hand side, so when I enter numbers in the calculator, I would write in the notes on the right hand side, rather than having to move the iPad back and forth to the left or right. In real life, you can place your calculator on either side, even above or below the paper you're using ot make notes. It should not be limited to the left side, althought I would still support it for left handed people..Version: 2.61

✓ Ok, but no better than the 100s of free appsNo backspace key. You have to clear the entire number to correct a mistake. Screen real estate is wasted on background graphics. ✓ Too Much MakeupGuys! I needed a calculator. JUST A CALCULATOR. Not some silly make believe leather portfolio. Yeah, okay, it’s beautiful ... but the problem is that the actual calculator part of the app, the part that DOES THE JOB OF BEING A CALCULATOR, is only a third of the real estate. ✓ Very poorVery poor effort. It doesn't work like normal calculator. In particular, functions such as "M+" and "M-" do not terminate digit entry. To use memory to accumulate the numbers 1, 2, 3, you would normally type: 1, M+, 2, M+, 3, M+ and pressing MR will show 6. What actually happens is that you get the answer 136 because it adds 1, 12, and 123 instead. Look elsewhere for a calculator that works like the real thing. This one doesn't..Version: 1.03
✓ Hmmm not quite as it seems!After reading all the reviews I thought well, why not its only 69p after all. Look, I don't need all the scientific gubbins but why, oh why does no-one produce a simple calculator with the ability to calculate percentages?? If you know of one I'd be grateful. So, back to this one well, what it doesn't say in the blurb is that you ONLY get the simple calculator in portrait and the scientific ONLY in landscape on an iPhone!! They are NOT interchangeable. To be honest the display is also bland and dull - grey, grey and more grey but it works. Feel a bit disappointed really..Version: 1.03
✓ Built-in calc is betterWhen used on the iPhone/iPod then this calculator is almost identical in layout and functionality to the built-in application. The only advantage I can see is that it has a simple one-key history. The disadvantage is the inferior look (small buttons and font, to little contrast), no cut and past, no indication of memory contents. Apparently there are more functions on the iPad version, but on the iPhone it's a waste of space. Why writing an app that doubles up a built-in without adding anything?.Version: 1.02
