✓ Great app but use with caution :)I use this app and the website all the time to find good food. Make sure you check a few individual reviews as well as the total rating though. New places with little reviews almost always have a low total rating, even if the individual ratings are high (maybe all start at 3 or something??), so the total doesn’t actually reflect people’s opinions. Also, sometimes a place used to be good but became worse, so it’s good to check the last few reviews and when they are from..Version: 11.2.6

I live in Australia, and find more restaurants nearby on this compared to a Google search. Many reviews, and it's super easy to leave a review and photos. ✓ Refund situation somewhat frustratingProfessional all around, but in the particular country I reside, the app can not determine if a particular restaurant is actually open for business. It will allow you to order, then it will send a text saying it could not fulfill the order and that a refund will be issued within a week. I have not had any problem receiving these refunds within the week, but it is frustrating to spend all that time analyzing the menu and selecting the food you want only to have to start all over at a different restaurant. The glitch is never fixed either. I could subsequently order again from the same closed restaurant over and over even days or weeks later. The app should be able to detect a closed situation and then remove ordering for that restaurant until further notice..Version: 15.0.5
✓ Awful!!!!I ordered 2 mains and 2 deserts and pod then one of the mains was removed from my order. This happened last week too. Last week they apologised and said the system was having issues when I contacted customer support and sent me a replacement out. This week the customer support assistance I got was awful, they said they were called Jubair. Said I was lying and had not ordered the item at all (it is a buy one get one free item on Mix n Match so why would I order 3 items) and did not send out the extra meal and said I would have to email customer support email. Absolutely ridiculous when the same thing happened the previous week and they contacted me straight away and resolved it. Jubair has probably lost Zomato a customer. ✓ RecommdationI like the app and the experience. It doesn’t usually crash but i have two recommendations which would be very useful to alot of people in general and particularly to me. 1) allow order scheduling so that if i want something after 3 hours i can just order it and not have to worry about ordering later 2) allow comments to be added while placing order. It has to be something different from the norm. “Bloom on Tiramisu” immediately caught my eyes. “It’s light and taste quite delicate at the same time” was the overwhelming nod of approval from the eight of us! Makes life soooooo easy for me cuz I can quickly search new restaurants, easily navigate location cuz it’s linked to google maps, call up the restaurant. My fav feature is getting to view the restaurant “Menu” section. One thing I’d improve about this app would be for them to separate the photos, one section for the food photos and a second section for the restaurant photos, cuz I want to c what the restaurant location/internal ambience/external building looks like , but it’s time consuming for me to scroll thru hundreds of photos to look for the restaurant photos. ✓ Old customerI had gone to Chandani Chowk, your original outlet. I carry that in my mind. I ordered kesar Kulfi Falooda yesterday with the same expectation. At least, to the worst, I had expected a good kulfi from normal restaurants. Kulfi which was served was the worst ever I had. It was even worse from the worst place. Falooda was so hard. There was no kulfi rather it was vanilla ice cream topped with Pan syrup. You people spoilt the kulfi. It looked as if you want to spoil your own name and very soon want to shut your business. The app is well thought out and we also like the live tracking of the delivery person and the status of the order. I highly recommend the app, we’ve used it dozens of times and have been happy each time. ✓ Food is constantly wrong or missingToday was the last straw. Ordered a mixed fried platter which is on the same list as kibbeh, sambousek etc. got cauliflower and fries. ✓ Five stags WhitfordGreat family lunch today. Eye fillet was just perfect. Sunday roast (lamb) was just what I felt like on a blustery day & didn't disappoint. Son was pleased with his Caesar salad & 11yr old loved her meatballs & pasta (which staff kindly offered to bring out first if she wished). I overate due to the size of the roast but couldn't resist a lovely panna cotta. Atmosphere was warm & inviting. Two large bookings in the same room didn't make us feel crowded. I use it on a regular basis and I enjoy how it categorizes the restaurants in different ways (e.g. budget friendly/trending etc...). It has encouraged me to try so many new restaurants. I find the reviews authentic and accurate, which means that they have a good system in figuring out fake reviews and weeding them out. It is my go to application for all things restaurants/cafes. ✓ Great app to discover new restaurantsI have used Zomato for over three years and joined their gold membership. The latest update made this app even better than before. The interface is neat, there is a map view option (finally) and everything is easier to find. I discovered so many new great restaurants thanks to this app and I’ve been actively writing reviews to help others. With regards to the support, I found that excellent too. There have been instances where my order was late or a few items were missing and thanks to the chat option, everything was resolved promptly. I use the delivery option a lot but since they brought up the buy one get one free option for dine in, I’ve explored even more places. ✓ Service levels are dropping like pack of cardsThe application itself needs an update. It was really good before they tried to be fancy and updated their app. Lately it takes time to load. Couple of days back, placed an order, it was delivered to the wrong apartment number. This was the second time in 4 days. When contacted the customer service, they were first unable to trace the account. Robotic message pls give registered mobile number. After sending them the screenshot they said pls update address as it shows my previous apartment number which i deleted 5 days back. ✓ Ripping off customers - deleted the appI used to be an avid Zomato customer. Not any more - I have deleted the app. As a person who orders Rs 1000 weekly, it’s their loss. There are others with better service. They charged me the complete meal cost for an expensive order for their own error (never pay by card, they have no customer service) and there is no information, recourse or warning to the customer. ✓ Why are there no halves anymore??I love this app a lot. It is my go to when I am on the hunt for somewhere to eat. I also enjoy writing reviews. However, I don’t understand why the ability to give restaurants half stars is gone. A 3 Star rating is very different to a 4 Star rating, so having something in between is necessary. ✓ My mouth is still watering!We had a basketball tournament to attend so I googled restaurants in the area. Jing Jing was a little hard to locate initially (Google maps) but well worth the persistence! This place is located on the outside of a local shopping mall... but don’t let that put you off! Once inside, the decor has a funky and cosy vibe (more like Fitzroy or St Kilda) and the staff are really attentive! But the best thing about Jing Jing is.... THE FOOD!!! OMG this is the best Thai food I’ve ever had in Melbourne!! Not your standard Thai fare, although you’re sure to find some of your usual favourites. The vegetarian Thai red curry with chickpeas was to die for. (We loved the Kent pumpkin with the skin still on.) Best of all was the choice of rice available- Jasmine rice, coconut rice, brown rice and super rice with quinoa! We left satisfied and feeling good... ready to hear back to the stadium for the next two games, full of energy!! Will definitely be back. Tip: book ahead! Eating out is getting more expensive so make each restaurant trip count with this app. I've had issues with booking tables though; Zomato sends you a confirmation of your booking, however when going to the restaurant, they have no knowledge of the booking. The loss of the feed function has cut users off from other reviewers, general and those you selected to follow because they knew what they were on about, and the elimination of half marks for reviews is a tragedy that’s removed subtlety, judgement and fairness from the app. The half marks feature was one of the key advantages Zomato had. ✓ Poor support servicesI love zomato and their services10/10. I am their regular customer. I made a complaint first time I generally ignore it. I normally order for my family as I live faraway from my family. So yes, I do enjoy their services. I contacted first time and tell them things were missing from food and it was my brother’s bday. I simply asked them to send another cake coz I don’t need money. As we know mistakes happened and we don’t need to take it seriously it’s ok just offer another item or simply replaced the food. It’s little bit upsetting me when they said to me sorry only and told me they can’t offer anything even though they compared the pic and just accept it but they denied for any credit. It simply shows they don’t respect or care their customers at all. I really don’t know their refund policies as I never made complaint but it hurts litte somewhere when u are a genuine customer but they don’t care about it. ✓ Poor Service by Zomato on a poor service from restaurantWe ordered food at 8:00 pm. We called the restaurant at 9:30 and he said the driver will reach in 10 minutes. And we called again at 9:40 pm and the restaurant said another 10 minutes. We called at 9:50 and they said another 8 minutes. And when I called again after 8 minutes to find out the status the restaurant owner was very rude on the phone. He shouted at me and said “Take it or leave it”. We can’t do any better than this. This restaurant is spoiling Zomato’s reputation seriously The food was finally delivered at 22:20 amd was cold. ✓ Almost perfectI love the application and i really use it whenever i want to order something or just for food suggestions. However there two things that really get on my nerves and i use google afterwards. First thing, whenever i write the name of the restaurant and it takes me to it’s page, there’s always the suffering of simply finding the phone number. I know there’s a small button on the right with a phone picture on it however i don't always find it. Why? Number two, it only suggests restaurants based on my location. However, in the recent update, when browsing the bookmark list, some filters were disappeared, only left “book online” and “open now”. Where is the “been there” and “not been there” filter? ✓ ImpressiveWent to Guildford’s Restaurant Cafe Florist yesterday for lunch. We were seated quickly and our coffee order taken as menus were handed to us. I had melt-in-the-mouth lamb and my friend “perfectly cooked” calamari. Thoroughly enjoyed our meals with their accompanying bright and fresh salads and the coffees. Guildford’s is beautifully fitted out, has a nice range of inexpensive but unusual and tasteful gifts on display plus a divine florist corner. Such gorgeous flower arrangements and very modest prices. The florist was happy to stop and have a chat with us. We were very impressed. The only reason not to give 5 stars is because of the surly young woman on the cafe cash register. She “almost” spoilt our day. The owner needs to keep an eye on this employee and if she can’t be trained to be pleasant then give her job to someone who would be happy to work in this lovely environment..Version: 12.0.4

Not just for restaurant reviews but also to see what the popular dishes are (as recommended by users) and also menu previews. If you like food and eating out then this is the only app you need (assuming it covers your area). It also has the option for online orders though can be a bit glitchy for ordering from. ✓ Much betterI’ve been enjoying the home delivery option but I can’t figure out why the cap on COD orders is 600. It’s not a very useful amount (can’t even order 2 pizzas). I think it makes sense to increase the COD limit for ppl who have been using your app for a long time. You can ask restaurants to rate your users (whether they are good or bad paymasters) and blacklist the bad ones. Also, table bookings need to be reintroduced. After all, you’re still competing with dineout and eazydiner. Some promotion, maybe a tie-up with certain key restaurants will give you a competitive advantage. ✓ Pathetic Customer ServiceI ordered home delivery of certain items from a local restaurant. The order was delivered incomplete. I am a Zomato pro user, but still I had to wait 16 mins before an agent responded to my request on “pro help” chat. After a lot of arguing, he finally agreed to call up the Resturant to lodge a complaint and get the remaining items delivered. To my utter surprise and dismay, I got a call from a completely different Resturant inquiring what was missing in my order. Turns out that the agent had called up wrong Resturant altogether. Each restaurant has a best seller list with votes to help you decide- what to order. No need to look for change for the food or chasing the restaurant where your food is at. There’s a live tracking status ( which sometime can be delayed but you have a customer service executive who will follow up with the restaurant on your behalf) so many deals available, through the week to make it economical or when you dine out you can apply Zomato Gold offers! Also, there are many restaurants on the app where there is a stated discount but it turns out that the restaurant doesn’t accept as they aren’t actually signed up to zomato. ✓ Great food appThis app is very useful when checking the reviews for a restaurant you want to go to. It has pics of food, ambience, menus. Just a suggestion to add a category to show if the restaurant has a bathroom facilities. So that if going with kids then we don’t have to worry. Also don’t like this concept of gold membership. It’s not worth it as commented by few people and also it’s not fair to pay for the membership. If they make it compulsory to get the membership for the usage of the app then I will start using google. The format has changed slightly which is not very user friendly. ✓ Excellent appThe app really is excellent, and having the Pro package is a must. After using the Pro discount just twice, the savings you make pay for the investment of purchasing the package, and the range of restaurants and bars that accept the Pro discount is vast. However, some restaurants allow everyone in the group to use the discount, and some restaurants only allow 1 or 2 users per table to use the discount, so need to check in advance. Even without the Pro version, there is live tracking, 1000s of restaurants, awesome discounts every single day, and bank card discounts. Customer service is good, but used to be better. And the app interface is alright, but used to be a lot simpler and more user friendly about a year ago, I would change back to the previous version if I could, unfortunately app got updated automatically. To conclude, great app, have recommended it to every single one of my friends, and every one of them ended up upgrading to Pro. ✓ Fika . Birkenhead .Perfect brunch today at Fika and although we haven’t been for a while , won’t be leaving it as long before visiting again . Best Eggs Bene we have ever had, in Auckland and elsewhere . Each element on the plate was divine , including the delicious , Dutch style streaky bacon . We each had a little jug of extra hollandaise on request at no extra charge , although we offered . Coffee was good with minimal wait , but believe it’s much busier on the weekends . Helpful front staff and Sissy the chef is a creative wonder . Have had EB on the 3 occasions we have been , but intend trying something else from the menu next time . I am not sure if it is matter of training or absence of electronic device, but whenever I place a order I undoubtedly get a phone call from the delivery person to guide him to my house. ✓ Paul MehraThis is the second time we have ordered from China Garden at Kemps Corner and estimated delivery for food was 45 mins but delivery has taken over 2 hours. I agree that the fault is of the restaurant but as Zomato is my service partner you should have control over the restaurant. If they cannot honour a delivery you should stop using them or know in advance which days they will be able to honour a delivery. What does one do if there is no delivery till 10:30. ✓ Great app, esp for travelI mostly use this app for travelling and it has been invaluable when driving around Australia. I don't think they improved urbanspoon but I've gotten used to this 5star system. I sad to see the .5 ratings gone. I'd prefer to see seperate ratings for food, service etc. and I also would like to see a ban on One Review Wonders who only join the app to vent. It's not quite that easy to search for a place by name as the location filter seems to take over. This can be annoying. I'd like to see a simple search screen first. Also many locations are blended with others, especially in outer suburbs and rural areas. Also they keep moving the map option around. I can never find it. ✓ Improvement on customer relationship and reviews neededWhen we got zomato setup for our cafe we didn’t get any assistance in fact had to followup almost 50 times to get it done. The images upload privileges are revoked and hence cannot upload images for the menu items. Reviews are one sided- customers can place reviews but cafe owners cannot followup. Reviews should help in improving the service. And if the cafe manager or owner cannot get in touch with the customer to know what went wrong, how will the service improve. People can post fake reviews. This is verified by me personally. I tried to reach the customers who had written a review and they were not the ones who had ever placed any order. I order at 7:40 and still till now the order is not delivered and on the App they say delivered. To whom they delivered the order which I already paid for. Very bad service today with no results!!
