✓ Still disappointed****Update Still not working. Still says getting your location... Ping suggested that I turn on my location for the app. When I go to location services on my 7Plus, the Ping app doesn’t even show up. When I open the Ping app tab in my settings, it gives me the option to allow the app to use cellular data. This is turned on. I tried turning it off and still didn’t work. I’ve uninstalled the app multiple times and reinstalled. I’ve reset my watch and phone multiple times. I’ve made sure both my watch, my phone and the app are all up to date. There are no settings inside of the Ping app itself that I can find. I emailed Ping. No response. I called Ping and left a message. No response. Any ideas? I would’ve expected this app to be stellar, considering Ping put their name on it and Apple backed it. I have a series 3 LTE watch and just purchased the app last week. I’ve played golf 4 times since, and have yet to be able to use the app during the round. When I click “Play Golf” is just says searching forever. Never finds a course or anything. Then it gives you the option to enter manually..... Which is free... So why did I purchase this, Ping? I would greatly appreciate some sort of explanation or a refund. ✓ Very disappointingI've had this app since January and used the app around half a dozen times since then. On each time the app has frozen more than once during a range session. You normally associate Ping with quality but this is poor. Not worth the money and can't get my money back thanks to Apple's rigid 14 day refund period..Version: 3.0.5

✓ Ping Golf AppThis is a horrible app. It is hard to believe Ping allows their name to be associated with this product. I purchased about a year ago and it was unstable and needed to be reinstalled all the time. Now it will not work at all. Look elsewhere if you want a golf app..Version: 3.1.3
✓ DisappointedI bought this app primarily for the golf workout feature that also allows you to record your scores / stats via the Apple Watch whilst playing your round. Given this requires a £3.99 in app purchase, I was expecting something solid. The set up and general UI is fine but usability is a big problem. When trying to log your scores the app on the watch just isn't responsive enough. Nothing happens for a while when you hit he buttons to se the score. It is quite frustrating. Second problem is that once you have logged a round, I don't see anywhere that you can actually review the data! Third issue is that when ping logs the "workout" with Apple at the end of a round, the activity is NOT counted towards your calorie goals for the day. ✓ Great idea. Poor executionFor something designed to promote consistency, this App is frustratingly inconsistent. Sometimes can get it to register the putts, other times it takes over 50 putts to get the 5 putts you need for analysis. Also not sure how accurate it is. Even when I deliberately try to hit putt with very open face, still tells me face is closed. Am I doing something wrong. Any tips from those who can get it work most appreciated..Version: 1.3.1

✓ Ping sells something I can’t useThey sell—and charge—for the putting/iPhone cradle. It requires Ping’s app. When I tried to use it, it requires an authorized (by Ping) professional. ✓ Having troubleI was excited by the prospect of this app and the Apple Watch. It was touted with the introduction of Apple Watch, but the app wasn't available for a while. I had previously purchased the iPhone cradle for putting practice and enjoyed it, but the watch app is troublesome. It freezes in middle of pratice and was hard to restart. I tried using it to play golf, but the response time was too slow, it often hung up, and it drained the watch battery before the round ended. Now I can't get it to work at all. It says if I purchased the full version, start the Ping app on iPhone and wait for the acknowledgement. No such acknowledgement occurs for the app that I paid for on this expensive watch..Version: 3.0.5
✓ Used to be excellent - now it’s unusableI used to use this for my putting practice and found it really helpful particularly when I was changing my putting grip. I could alter my grip to left hand low for example, then have a putting session and look at my consistency and stroke type to see if the change was for the better. But now it’s locked in to Ping pros with official Ping accounts. Gee, thanks Ping. Way to treat your customers.Version: 3.1.7

✓ Complete garbage.Thought I would try this app out to keep score on my rounds of golf. It didn’t recognise the course I played at and isn’t very user friendly. Can’t seem to find a way to add a course, or figure out how to find courses. I also tried out the practice swing section and it never picked up any of my swings. ✓ Needs AttentionGot the app and bought the Workout add on because I have an Apple Watch and wanted to see how my swing measured up. As it stands now the watch capture only about 1 in every 3 to 4 attempts. More often than not the watch semi-freezes after a swing and won't ready itself for another attempt. It may or may not capture another several swings later. I can find no way to force the watch to reset for another swing, the sparse documentation is not helpful. ✓ AwfulKeeps asking me to purchase via in app purchase to be able to use, even though I've bought it!! In order to clear this message you need to completely delete the iwatch and repair (which everyone knows is a last resort at takes ages and very painful!). Then it randomly stops syncing the swing data back to the phone (even though everything else is syncing fine). The only way to fix this is to delete the ping app, remove the iwatch, re-pair only be told you need to complete the in-app purchase AGAIN!!! Repeat 1000x times with no internet support. I used this app to aid my practice on my putting stroke with my fitted Ping putters from Gainsborough. I loved the handicap mode as it gave me a target to improve. It’s now only for Ping fitters so amateurs can’t use the app even with the cradle which we bought from you. Why can’t you release a simplified version with just the practice and handicap modes if your worried about fitters having no work??? ✓ Eats battery on your watchI am a regular golfer and a ping user. I thought this would be a useful app for practice and playing. I have a laser distance finder and the gps app was about 10% out. That is similar for other gps apps. The big problem is the battery drain. I got to the 11th hole at got a 10% left warning. And I was not using the app on every hole. So that's not very useful Ping - and needs sorted- there are 18 holes in a game! Secondly used it for practice swings- a bit more useful there, but doesn't register all shots. ✓ The April´19 update makes the disappointment completeI had used the watch app for playing and to score countless rounds and then reviewed the scorecards and stats on the iphone afterwards. Standing on the Teebox yesterday I wanted to start the app on the watch: gone. Checked the ping app on the iphone and got a little info screen telling that Ping removed the ‚golf workout’ feature and that subscribers should ask iTunes for refund. WITHOUT ANY HEADS-UP they just pulled a major functionality of the app and leaving the user no options to export the data. How careless and thoughtless is that?! Ping never put much love into the app in the first place: hardly any updates in the last 3 years. The recent pull-back now is the full revelation of how little ping is attached to the application and its (paying) customers. I understand there may be reasons to get out of some services - but the HOW you go through this with your customers makes all the difference..Version: 3.1.5

✓ IOS 6 compatibility?Downloaded the app and no joy, it doesn't work. It would appear that earlier reviews on here are really happy and later reviews not. Is there a correlation between the reviews and the up grade of Apple's IOS? Ping obviously feel they aren't getting enough of a return on this app to be bothered to update it as well! Glad I found out before forking out on £20 worth of plastic cradle to strap to my putter shaft. ✓ JokeWhat a completely disastrous update. The IT dept at Ping should be summarily fired. Instead of changing the app to allow only authorized ping fitters, couldn't you just have made a new app?
