✓ Used to be betterThe backing track for the tabbed songs no longer plays in the background whilst reading the tab. It has for a while opened up in the browser so you can’t read the tab and play along to the backing track at the same time, not much use..Version: 5.2.31
✓ Keeps crashing on IOS8!This is a great mag, BUT... Since the update it won't open. Sister magazine, Guitarist, is the same. Works on IOS7 on an iPhone 4! Come on guys! You can't take our money and not update your app. Most other mags are providing updates, so get a grip and help us out. Especially as the new issue is Slash! ✓ Great content - need better means to browse and search issuesI have bought the paper and disc version of TG since I started playing guitar in 1994 (issue 9) and it's always a great resource. I recently took up an offer to buy the entire digital back catalogue. This is a great deal and I do love the digital format for convenience. My big gripe though is the poor search capability and lack of a simple contents summary for each issue. I used to have my favourite paper issues and came to know the covers and contents off the top of my head. I shouldn't have to do that with digital content though - a contents page in text with the ability to search by genre, artist and title would make this a real winner. As it is, it can be painful trying to find a transcription without downloading entire issues. Fix this one limiting factor and I would happily bump up to 5 stars. The same also applies for the Guitar Techniques app which has the exact same issue..Version: 4.4.1

✓ Rip offI subscribed to the print and digital version. I was unable to log into the print version and after finally being able to it said I had to pay to download the current issue. After numerous attempts to contact the company I only received automated messages with a link to the same useless faq page on the app. I had no choice but to turn the matter over to the fraud department of my bank in order to get my money back. ✓ Good but.....Very slick in appearance, but come on where is the audio back up that comes with the hard copy. It's not that hard, and it is being directed through iTunes, it's not rocket science. ✓ Lousy appThis is only the front end for the pay per issue. What is a joke is the magazine comes with a CD that is referenced all through the issue. They do not provide access for the CD content. So on other words , you pay more than the normal subscription, and receive less, and cannot print anything from the issue. Pretty much a useless ripoff!.Version: 1.2

The page size is too small and makes reading the guitar tab impossible in portrait and a scrolling nightmare in landscape.
