I am able to scan and fax and use third party apps with this one which in turn makes my filing system futuristic. ✓ Great appGreat app does what it promises to do but the ONLY small things that are a little annoying; The picture can only be taken in 'landscape'. However the range of the picture doesn't match the viewing window. When you take a picture of a document you think you have filled the screen but turns out it didn't and is a little far away. Not a big deal. The default setting is saving the file in black & white I'd prefer it was original colour or give me a setting to adjust the default. It's an amazing app to have while you're on the road to be able to save and email a PDF. Saves quickly and easily and straight to folder or photos folder on the iPhone..Version: 9.2

DocScan adjusts the text so it’s as if I had taken the image front and center. Renaming files makes them easily searchable on my phone. I generally upload them to the appropriate folder in Google Drive or email or text them to others. There are even more features than those I use. ✓ Good but not yet greatIt does a pretty good job of getting in and fixing photos of documents, optimising the image. But it's let down by some poor visual design, and placement of GUI elements that are inconsistent with the IOS way. (For example the rename document and delete dialogs look all wrong.) For me the real power comes with upload to Google Docs/Drive which is needed to do the OCR. But you have to pay for that..Version: 4.4.2

✓ Good, better if you could adjust after creatingOverall this is one more feature rich scanners; It lacks the fancy interfaces of Scanbot or others; but on features it is more complete. Including the very important saturation and contrast controls; I will other fully saturate an image or give full contrast the make images readable. Except for turbo scan I don’t recall any other have these controls (docscan does it better). Docscan also allows signing docs and annotate, a big plus. The great miss is that you can’t recrop pages or readjust contrast. For instance, I wanted to be able to change photos to b/w and change contrast; I don’t mind if can’t go back to poor quality..Version: 10.7

✓ Fitness for PurposeI can’t understand why there are so many negative reviews. I’ve just downloaded the free version of this App and so far it seems to function pretty well. I was previously using an old version of this app called DocScan HD which at the time was free but since the latest OS update it no longer works due to the developers no longer supporting it. This is very disappointing since I had a few hundred PDFs stored which I can no longer access. I’m sure that there are better (and possibly more expensive) scanning apps available but the features on this app are more than adequate for my requirements..Version: 17.5.1

The apparently lost document is still listed in my collection, but claims to contain "zero" pages. However, to my surprise (and relief), when I connected the iPod to a computer, the apparently lost scan was available for download! I downloaded the scan (as a PDF file) onto the computer and it was fine, but it is still unavailable on the iPod itself. Please repair that glitch, if possible. Thanks..Version: 2.0

✓ Great scannerThis a very good application with powerful scanning function and with one of the best results you can get from iPhone 5s. I have compared several scanning apps for iPhone and this is a leader if it comes to quality of scans. However, what I am missing most is a function where you can search and find your scanned documents by tags associated to them, something that Insta PDF has got, for example. Therefore if you've got a lot of documents scanned, it becomes increasingly difficult to quickly find a particular one. I know you've got folders to organise your files, which is good, but as time passes on, you may forget where a certain document is and tags would be very helpful in this situation. ✓ Great app!I’ve been using DocScan for about 5 years now, and it’s been a great tool. I can scan and email documents from anywhere, plus it will square up documents that were scanned at a bit of an angle. It compensates for uneven light, such as if the light is coming through a window and making one side of the paper brighter than the other. The app automatically adjusts for the difference so you get a clean copy. It also allows me to save them into separate folders, so they’re organized if I need to refer back to them later. It takes paperwork that is scanned on off shades of white and makes it very black and white readable. Being able to then convert that into a PDF or picture has been very helpful. After using the free version for a while I went ahead and purchased the full version primarily as a way of showing appreciation to the developer. ✓ Used for YearsI've used this utility for years. It's helpful to digitize all sorts of documents and pictures. Someone sends you a photo of a photo that's not taken straight on, you can fix it with this app. Take pictures of important documents when you get them and turn them into PDF file right on the spot or later. Need to get a signed document to someone, ask if you can email it. Then just take a picture, convert it to PDF and email it. Easy peazy.Version: 10.7
