✓ Doesn't recordI have this app(older version) on another device and it works fine. On my iPad it doesn't even record. Major disappointment 😔.Version: 1.5

✓ A voice apThis would be a good app, but recording capabilities and a lot of addons should be included in the paid version. ✓ MIDIPlease fix the MIDI. I tried using Audiobus to sync this with loopy. I use pedals to operate loopy, but there is no option where you can disable the MIDI in this app. This means that I cant loop what I want while using this app due to the MIDI settings....Version: 1.6.1

✓ In-app purchases don't transfer!I downloaded the Free version for iPhone and then bought the Choir effect through an in-app purchase. Then I downloaded the free version for iPad and clicked to restore in-app purchases and it didn't download the Choir effect I previously bought. But I can BUY it again for the same price of $4.99. ✓ Needs serious updateThis App worked fine but since IOS updated to 13.2.3 you can NO longer import songs from your music library. It allows you to select a song - but thats it.... there is NO ‘Done’ selection that imported your file (song). As it stands it is now useless for that purpose. ✓ Registration isn't workingI try to register, which will give me a free module, and it says my email address is already on record so I used reset password. They email me a temp password. I try to register and it says it's incorrect. To review my login information. I tried resetting it three time and the same error. ✓ Great app but lacking functionalityThe quality of the effects is excellent and is perfect for home recording which is what it's designed for, but ik multimedia seem to be ignoring the live musician. This app really needs away of bypassing the effects via midi or bluetooth and even changing presets. That way I wouldn't have to waste time switching from my backing tracks app to turn off the effects between songs so I could talk. If they could include this then it would really be a killer app and I would certainly buy the full version..Version: 1.0

✓ Needs a major updateAs a standalone product this app works fine with some interesting, usable effects. However, the level of support and maintenance on this app is very poor, particularly if you want to use it in conjunction with other apps. It works ok with audiobus but is very unreliable with interapp audio. For example, it does not work at all with Auria or AUM which is a show stopper for me. The app is in great need of a major update to fix interapp compatibility issues..Version: 2.0.3

✓ Bad processingI spent $4.99 on a compressor that I needed to try and handle some vocal processing while my actual equipment was occupied. The free reverb and purchased compressor made a digital robot noise after every processed signal and were terrible. ✓ Buyers Beware!!!Prior to the update I would've Highly recommended this app! The update offered some much welcomed features. However, it also introduced a major flaw into the equation! The iPads built in mic no longer functions properly with the Vocalive app! When I sing it barely picks up the sound of my voice. It causes my voice to sound muffled! The problem is not with the settings as I turned up the input on the built in mic with in the apps settings. The problem is not with my iPad either as the built in mic works perfectly with my other apps. This new problem in my opinion makes this app useless and a waste of money! Please stay tuned as I will update this review once a new update is released that corrects the problem... FYI this review in no way reflects my opinion of the free version of Vocalive as I have not used the free version for more than 2 years now. ✓ Beware of deception!First of all, I own hundreds of dollars of IKM apps and computer software and have used IKM for many years so I’ll start there. My ALL-TIME biggest gripe is that IKM ALWAYS seems to require that “one more” little element missing for that sound you’re looking for. They thrive off of that AND it’s gonna cost you money. CHECK IT OUT! Go to the IKM App site and look at their “Total Bundle” offering...total, right? Nope! You look right under the “get” button and you’ll notice “In app purchases”. So it’s NOT a “ Total” bundle! They have cost me more money when they decide I need to upgrade my software (Sonic Synth 2 & the old Miroslav) if I want what I purchased to continue working. If you want quality no-nonsense plugins or music apps, Native Instruments, EastWest Sounds and others are superior and you get what you get AND KEEP what you get...no gold digging! App only seemed to have Reverb on the FX. Bought the 8 track and Master FX, no Choir. Looked at the Menu and selected Store to find Choir was £2.99 !Its a bit buggy too with the track naming. ✓ Excellent but not the studio elementFor vocal effects this is a superb program but there is an option to install an integrated studio for recording for a comparatively expensive sum which I definitely cannot recommend. No effort was spared to eradicate pop outs, glitches, noises and God knows what without success. I couldn't get my money back either but that surprise came with a silver lining as I own 24 track program DAW (highly recommended - superb) and found I could integrate the vocals effects live with Vocalive. Overall, if it's effects you want Vocalive is great but steer clear of the studio for if its a studio you want get DAW..Version: 2.0.2

✓ Don't Upgrade to the Paid Version!The reverb works pretty good in this version, huh? Well, don't let that trick you into buying the full version. The latency (delay) is too long when using more sophisticated modules such as choir or pitch fix. In addition, it prone to noise and artifacts when doing anything that involves pitch detection.
