RR: Eating Disorder Management for Positive User Reviews

Recovery Record is awesomeAn amazing free resource that can really help with ED recovery - if you use a tracker app then ditch it in favour of this. You still log meals, you can still meal plan, but no kcal and no exercise. Loads of motivation and rewards, the option for your clinician/therapist/team to join too so they can see your progress. Seriously, you won’t regret downloading it.Version: 6.5.2

Easy and helpful toolJust as the title states - way better than a food journal, the reminders are helpful and being able to connect with your therapist is great. Really, reinforces mindful eating..Version: 9.3.3

Saving GraceI met with a nutritionist who I now see regularly, and she set me up on this app to help me log my meals and snacks. It’s already made such a difference in my daily life and is making my disorder indescribably easier to handle by receiving the feedback and motivation I can get daily from my nutritionist. Imputing how I’m feeling with every meal makes me mindful of how much my food intake affects my daily life, and I know it’s small but the little pictures and GIFs I get for logging make me smile! This app is a genius idea for people struggling with eating disorders and I would recommend it to anyone who’s suffering!.Version: 6.5.2

Love this app! Just one thing...This app has been crucial for me in my recovery!! I’ve used it for years—through relapses and wellness—and I seriously don’t think I’d be so far into recovery without it! It helps me stay accountable with my whole team, and I love that I can have individual logs for behaviors, feelings, thoughts, etc. outside of logging meals (which includes all that too!). I also love how it’s customizable regarding goals and logging, and it’s overall an amazing app! The only real flaw I notice is that, if I have the app open while my clinician comments, the comment doesn’t ever show up in my app. I get a notification in my email inbox, but nothing in the app, and I end up asking them to resend the message. Other than that, I don’t see any flaws!.Version: 8.6.2

IndispensableI’ve used this app religiously, daily, for over a year now. I’m in recovery for bulimia and binge eating and this app is essential for me. Not the best quality graphics but it does the job..Version: 8.6.2

App reviewLove this app, very easy to navigate, has a great aesthetic and user friendly template. Could do with an update though x.Version: 9.4.6

Helping my recoveryVery in depth and well designed. needs a bit of an update in the presentation but otherwise well engineered. aesthetically pleasing..Version: 8.7.8

My RR reviewThis app has helped me so much. It’s very well structured and has many support resources. I definitely recommend :).Version: 9.4.0

I love this appThis app is amazing there’s nothing but positive stuff to see. I’ve only had it for a few days and at first all the positive stuff that I saw I though was such bull crap and that it could never apply to me and there’s no way I should even think about being happy. But now, even though I’ve only had it for a few days, the quotes and pictures of cute animals just make me feel so much better then I did a few seconds beforehand. I know this sounds stupid but it’s really affective..Version: 8.6.2

Great ToolWhat a wonderful tool for me. Easy. Makes me think about what and why I’m eating. Really good..Version: 6.1.4

The best app on my iPod.I have suffered EDNOS for 6 years and have only come to terms with my recovery in 2011. I found this app and was absolutely overjoyed, I was struggling and really needed that extra push. It's fantastic! I can remember when I need to eat and it motivates me to not skip, inspirational messages from the app and other members that uncannily coincide when I'm feeling bad, rewards for doing well... It has kept my chin up and gives me hope that one day I'll fight this thing... And win :).Version: 2.5

Great job! It’s an incredible app that has helped me a ton in my recovery. A few flaws, however; a) it doesn’t let you submit a meal if there is nothing written under the what did you eat part. After my dietician and I decided the actual writing of what I ate was harmful for my recovery, I couldn’t just skip it- I just ended up putting an emoji which worked but it would be nice if I could submit it without doing that. B) I removed a snack from my meal plan, and now the whole system seems messed up so that when I record my food it always puts a check box in the wrong meal c) should be a feature for self harm, suicidality, depression and anxiety. Overall, however, the developers did an incredible job.Version: 9.4.0

Fantastic app.I’ve only had this a few days and it has had a massive impact on my behaviour with food. I feel calmer, more balanced, more able to not eat when I feel a compulsion. I wish I’d found this sooner not only for my it’s positive effect on my eating but also the positive calming effect on my life..Version: 9.3.2

Amazing, the key to helping me recoverThis app is sooo good, it’s been a major factor in my journey of recovery, I’ve been able to go my longest stints without any disordered eating and when it does get tough and I let the ED take over the app helps me to get back on track..Version: 8.7.4

Recovery RecoredReally handy.Version: 4.7.4

Love itI don’t have any eating disorders. I’ve been on some diets throughout my life, because I’ve been told I need to lose weight. I’m trying intuitive eating, because it just seems like it would be the right thing for me. This app is super super easy to use. Literally, all you have to do is take a picture of your food, answer some questions, and you’re done. I have ADHD, and this is way easier than any other food, journaling app I’ve tried. Keep up the good work..Version: 9.3.9

Really helpful so farI haven’t used it for long, a couple of days, but it helps remind me to eat well and *why* I want to have a healthy relationship to food..Version: 9.3.9

A huge helpSuch a helpful and easy app to support recovery, so many new functions as you start to explore the app too.Version: 3.3

SmartSupportive, innovative, adaptable. This is a really comprehensive app to help support and track recovery progress, regardless of ED type. Whether used in a partnership or a clinician it is a very helpful tool to help get and stay on track..Version: 8.6.2

I can make it through this....I can make it through this anorexia thanks to this app!.Version: 5.0.5

A gift, a blessing and a essential life lineThank you so much for creating this app. Being able to log my thoughts and feelings every minute of every day is a true gift and blessing. Knowing that I can reach out to my therapist in my darkest of times through the app has been a life line for me. She can not be with me every second of every day as she has other people to see, help and support and have her life too. The app reassures us that there is someone out there that cares and is not very far away. Sometimes in your darkest moments you just need to be told that again and again and thankfully when my darkness was all but consuming me my therapist reached out to me through your app. Knowing that she was and still is walking beside me every step of the way is vital to my healing and recovery. I would recommend anyone using this app. Logging your whole day from getting out of bed to going to bed, recording your thoughts and feelings, activities and your meals enables us to really start to see ourselves through different eyes. It’s been a godsend to logging and interpreting my dreams too. I’ve discovered that I’m a pretty amazing person with many hidden talents. There is far more to me than I ever imagined. The app has helped in me discovering this. I love being able to reflect over my journey by going through past logs too. Brilliant! Thank you so much!.Version: 8.6.2

Great interaction and recovering skillsI love this app that created for people suffering from ED, couple of things could be developed: 1. sometimes there are situations that the keyboard is unable to be used, I could only type the words and paste them in the blanks. this occurs in community, pairing, inviting clinicians interfaces. 2. maybe could the staff make the interface more ethical and engaging? It would definitely improve my motivation to have my things recorded in the app. I mean it is an app that provides psychological support anyway, if it is a bank app, nobody would cares about this, but this is not just about “functioning”..Version: 9.4.0

Super helpfulI love this app. I have been using it a couple days and it’s a gear way to store all the inspirations, journals, quotes, coping skills I need at mealtimes, etc in one spot plus the build your own meditation is AWESOME and I love the little inspiration section - I only gave it 4 instead of 5 stars because I would love to see that in that section a bit more ability to personalize just like in the other sections. I am not a huge fan of some of the quotes and inspirations to choose from and I have tons I would want to use that I could add there that would be much more meaningful to me. Also images. But it’s ok. You can submit them for community review or log them in another part of the app, but I would like to just have them there for myself even if they aren’t for the community. Also would like the little scrapbook to have a few more options for personalization, but do love that you have to complete challenges to use it. Motivation!!.Version: 6.4.2

Love this app!Only been using this app for a couple of days but really loving it so far! It’s a little buggy and slow at times but there’s been no major issues. It really feels like this has been made with recovery in mind. I love that it’s free! I love that you’re not forced to disclose any information you don’t want to or made to create an account. I love the quotes and strategies and photos/gifs to brighten up you mood after logging. Some of them can be a little too cheesy and/or lacking substance but overall I love this feature! It’s very easy to use and has all the right options for feelings, location, photos, notes and other data you want to include in the notes. It would be nice if you could create your own locations and feelings but overall I have very little complaints and could not recommend this enough!.Version: 9.1.0

Extremely comprehensiveI am a week into this app and am quite impressed so far! Very thorough and great at identifying eating habits and external links. Aesthetically it could definitely do with a designers touch, but it functions well. I would like to be able to put in custom questions that are particular to the individuals disordered patterns. And the graph Data while slightly interesting isn't all that helpful. I would love to see that developed better to be more user friendly and offer better insights. Apart from that I'm sticking with this. It's really good..Version: 4.6.2

RR gave me back power in my recoveryAfter hitting a low point, i started to relapse in my bulimia recovery. I couldnt afford to see a new counselor after moving cities. This app has helped me stay on track, be an advocate for myself, feel empowered, and give myself grace. By tracking emotions, meals, thoughts, eating/binging/restricting behaviors, and my general thoughts throughout the day, I’ve grown healthier. This app is thorough, positive without being gimmicky, and the creators of RR truly understand the complex condition that is an eating disorder. I wish i had known about RR sooner..Version: 6.4.5

ARFID userBasically no eating disorder apps have ARFID support, so when I heard about this app I was excited. It still could have some work done, no app is perfect, but I was pleasantly surprised by how much it already has—thus the 5 star rating. I also know that the reason it has ARFID content is due to demand, which comforts me because it shows the creators actually care about the users’ voices. It’s really neat and I’ve found it really helpful this past month to keep me on track and hold myself accountable for things. I love that it’s so customizable too because everyone’s treatment looks different! Overall it’s a good app and I haven’t written a review for an app in years so that shows the impact it’s had for me to do so..Version: 8.9.9

RrRr is a good app because I can log my meals so I can see my improvement of bindge and when. I did I can see my emotions and that might tell me why I bindge like when I’m sad and I put it and my emotion so when I look back I can see certain times when my emotions have been bad and if I wanted to bindge or not.Version: 9.2.6

Simple and effective!Really enjoying the app and feel much better by logging..Version: 8.6.2

Supportive and encouraging. Highly recommendThis app assists in recovering and encourages being kind to yourself and logging meals regardless of whether or not you’re happy with them. You don’t have to count calories, you just take photos, and there’s an option to connect with others..Version: 6.5.0

Best app I’ve ever usedThis app is genuinely incredible, if you struggle with disordered eating or even just bad eating habits then this is more than perfect. You are encouraged to log each meal and receive coping strategies, motivational quotes and even bonus pictures of animals as a reward for logging. These are then saved and are accessible later if you want to review and try them. I’ve found the coping skills offered on the app to be very helpful, even simple things that I hadn’t thought of before made things much easier for me. It encourages an approach of being kind and gentle to yourself which is great as I have a tendency to be hard on myself for small mistakes and give up on my goals when I have a bad day. Since I downloaded it I have made noticeable strides in my recovery and I’m feeling better and more confident every day. I wonder how this app is free!! Thank you so much to the people who made it..Version: 9.1.0

The BestNumber have always been a big thing for me. I was always counting calories, measuring my size, and taking my weight. When I found this app, I didn’t know what to expect. But it turned out better than I could have imagined. This app lets me track the fact that I ate, how I felt during and after, and what I ate, without having me count calories. After every time I track, it offers a helpful quote and an uplifting image. I can also do meditations on this app and mindfulness. All for free! Beyond thankful for finding this and hope everyone else feels as affirmed and supported by this app as I do..Version: 8.6.2

Good but outdatedThe app itself is fantastic. Really easy to log your meals and feelings surrounding the meals. My only complaint is that the app looks outdated however it’s uses far outweigh its appearance.Version: 8.7.8

Awesome appGreat functionality and detail.Version: 9.1.6

Fun appThis app is so fun to use. It’s like a best friends around me all the time.Version: 9.0.0

A few minor fixes would make this app perfectThis app has been a fantastic tool for doing cbt for binge eating disorder. It would genuinely perfect if just a few things were fixed! For example, when I have a lunch entry I had at 1:30 pm, and I have to edit something in it that evening, it updates the time of the entry to the time I edit it, which is frustrating. It ends up making it impossible to edit a previous day’s entry without switching it to the current day. Similarly, if I skip a meal, and go back to edit the entry later on, the questions default to the ones for when I didn’t skip a meal. Otherwise, this app has been invaluable in my treatment!.Version: 9.1.2

Exceptional app. This is a beautifully thought out app for supporting recovery from an ED. It moves well beyond an intake log and asks for input on mood, thoughts, behaviours, and coping skills. The addition of motivational quotes is lovely. Good coping skills are offered. One of the things I particularly like are the images provided: calming landscapes and cute animals absolutely warm the heart and uplift the soul. To the developers, I thank you for this gift..Version: 8.9.3

Seems goodIt has a lot to set up and lots to think about, I think that ultimately it will be beneficial when I get use to it. It could do with comprehensive instructions for use and instructions prompts while using. It’s taken me a while just to work out how to do several things and I’m still confused about a few bits and pieces. When logging meals for example it asks did you use a plan/clinical skill etc. But it does not show you what these are. So you have to go out of that part of the app, remind yourself what these were, then go back to food logging. It’s just easier to say no! The bit about collecting jigsaw pieces for logging meals seems a bit childish. Although I do like the thoughts for the day. Partnering up with another uses anonymously for a few days then switching to someone else, seems a bit pointless. What if you can’t cope with their needs and ideas. What if their issue is totally different to yours. What if you do gain great encouragement from each other but then are automatically switched in a few days. I don’t understand this set up. It keeps asking if I want to link to a clinician but there is no information about what this entails, or if there is any charge. It keeps telling me to write 3 wins in the thought log section but I couldn't even find the thought log section. Then I found it but the reminders should be linked to the thought log or what ever the reminder is asking you to do, so you can go straight to it without scratching your head trying to work out what you do next. Overall it has great potential and I can see how helpful it will be to log meals, thoughts, feelings, triggers. All of the right ideas are there so I have given it 4 stars. It needs them bringing together a bit better and clearer instructions..Version: 8.7.6

Hard work made a little easierThere are so many parts to this App that I haven't explored yet - it is very impressive. I have binge eating disorder and am attending a UK eating disorders clinic but, although my therapist suggested looking at this App, the NHS don't allow her to use it along with me which is a real shame. I had found keeping a food log a real struggle and the App does make it easier. I know that changing my relationship with food, and facing underlying issue, will take a lot of hard work but this App does make it that bit easier. It feels like my supporter - my questioning friend -between clinic visits..Version: 6.4.2

Well developed.I have been using Recovery Record for about 5 weeks, and I enjoyed using it then as I have now! There are lots of “tools” that one can find on Recovery Record to cope with adverse effects symptoms, emotions, or thoughts that relate to disordered eating. Some of my favorite of these tools include the “reasons to recover” activity and the “My goals” section. Just be sure to explore the “more” panel on the bottom right-hand corner of the home page so you don’t miss out on about 1/2 of the activities that Recovery Record offers. The meal log system captures the whole meal dynamic including emotions, food choices, and thoughts involved in the event. It also allows the user to customize how they want to record their meals. At first, the meal logs seem to take 5 minutes, but only write what you and your clinical team find helpful, and with practice you can log a meal in only 2 minutes. I heard from a clinician, however, that the ‘holiday mode’ doesn’t work so well, because when they turn it on during vacation, they still receive notifications for every meal log a patient records (and that can really add up if you are gone for a week and have several patients)..Version: 9.3.0

First 5 star review I’ve ever givenI’ve never reviewed an app before because I’ve never cared about an app enough to rate it but i couldn’t want to support this app more because it’s supported me so much. This is a life saving app. If you commit to it, it can help empower you to free yourself of your illness. It requires your commitment and I’ve had this app downloaded and never used on my phone for years but when I fully started to engage with it, I felt myself progress. Amazing app, full of resources to help empower you to freedom. Thank you so much for creating it..Version: 8.6.2

MonitoringGreat for keep habits into checks. And seeing a pattern in eating habits, as us humans love our patterns and rituals..Version: 6.1.4

Great appI was very reluctant to download/use this app but my therapist encouraged me to do I did, and I have to admit that it’s really helpful. It helps keep me accountable and makes therapy sessions easier as my therapist can see what went on for me that week..Version: 8.9.2

Good app butIt’s a great app but could you make the total just “RR” again instead of the long version?.Version: 8.6.2

Great supportI am finding RR really helpful in my Recovery journey, I have paid for many courses to recover from binge eating and RR has been The best at keeping me accountable of my daily routine and let’s me see the habits I have created and how I can make changes to get better each and every day. The fact that it is free is amazing..Version: 9.3.0

AmazingAs an eating disorder psychologist I always recommend this app to the people I work with. So intuitive and helpful. The quotes are great too!.Version: 8.9.0

Absolutely brilliant!I have tried so many things to help me with my ED but this application tops them all. I am taking control and making progress one entry at a time. I recommend this app to everyone who I know that struggles with food issues and has an ED. It is so easy to use and I can keep track of my feelings and trigger points. I have learnt to eat small balanced portions regularly and plan my meals which makes life so much simpler. Am not perfect and slip up but this app keeps me motivated and inspired to continue on the beautiful journey of recovery. Thank you so much for this god send of an app!.Version: 3.0.1

Best appHonestly I have gone through so many apps, most free but have paid for some. This app is amazing. Doesn’t involve any unexpected upgrades you have to pay for, includes more then you think your going to get, meal planner, menu logs to meditation and coping skills. Will never delete this app!.Version: 8.9.9

Need To Be Able To Log After MidnightThe good thing about this app is that I can’t just skip my meals and pretend I ate when I didn’t because my dietitian now sees everything. The bad thing is that I often eat my final snack of the day after midnight (usually around 12-12:30) and it seems that the only way to record that is by “backlogging” but when I record my final snack I am not backlogging. I am eating it at the same time that I am logging it. The app seems to just go right to the next day without a way to go back to the day before without it being considered a “backlog”. Also when I do backlog it doesn’t show up in my Logs section and it acts like I’m being punished for backlogging which makes me feel like I’m doing something very wrong even if I didn’t actually “backlog” a meal from another time..Version: 9.1.4

Omg I want to diet (again)As someone recovering from an undiagnosed eating disorder, I still get off track if things get to busy, or chaotic. I can usually tell I am off track because, OMG I want to diet (again). Recovery Record is my go to coping technique. The features allow me to get back in touch with myself, listen to what my body needs, hear what my heart wants, eat without shame, or guilt. The app provides me with suggestions, and encouragement that keep me on track. I highly recommend the app, for ED recovery support , but also for anyone on the Intuitive Eating journey..Version: 6.1.4

Helping meI’ve only used the app for a little while, so I can’t attest to its long-term effectiveness. But so far, it has really stood out as far as these types of apps go. It’s thorough, easy to use, some of the motivational quotes actually motivate me. If it were a person, it would be a gentle clinician as opposed to a helpful BFF. The fact that it feels a little professional makes me take it more seriously and follow through with logging and reaching goals. I’ve already been able to identify negative behaviors based on the data I provide to the app. I didn’t recognize these behaviors on my own without taking the time to log information. I recommend it to someone wanting to have a healthier relationship with food..Version: 6.5.0

Very helpfulThis app is really good as it can be done with your clinician which assists with keeping up with your progress. Pinkigirlz78.Version: 9.3.2

Amazing app, honestly it really does helpI’m super bad with getting my thoughts into words but I definitely had to rate this because honestly this app is amazing I can’t believe its all free which I am extremely grateful for like for an app to be this helpful and actually very good like legit astonishes me. If the creators are reading this I really just wanted to take the time to thank you and hope you know that you’re making a difference out here like I just started and this is really helping me and I’m sure it’s helping so many others too. So seriously, thank you..Version: 8.6.2

Very goodI’m not a fan of logging but this is easy to do so far.Version: 9.3.7

RR changes lives!I'm currently struggling and trying to recover from an eating disorder, and this app has been beneficial in helping me manage my urges and behaviors while also getting a lot of support. Since I'm linked with my nutritionist on this app, it's provided me a unique opportunity to get nearly real time feedback. RR has lots of available coping skills to offer, as well, if you're having a hard time. I highly recommend it to anyone who might be suffering from any sort of disordered eating or negative body image..Version: 9.3.0

Great app for recoveryI’ve been using this app for over a year now— I love that includes a thought diary and different scales to rate your feelings, sleep, hunger levels before and after eating, etc. It’s detailed and you can customize what you want to show up in your personal logs. My counselor and I use it so that she can see how my thoughts/emotions/eating patterns have been throughout the week, so by the time I see her she knows what’s been going on and we can dive right into the deep stuff. Plus, every time you submit a log you get an encouraging quote and adorable picture (think puppies). Love it and highly recommend!.Version: 8.6.2

PerfectCould not be any better..Version: 4.7.8

Step at a timeI can feel my relationship with food and my body softening. Without pressure. My body actually has things to tell me and I’m listening more and more each day. It’s a new way of respecting it that I didn’t know I was missing..Version: 9.4.0

One of the nest mindful eating AppsI am satisfied by this application, it is user friendly and completely cover all items..Version: 8.9.2

Where have you been all my life? The free resources available in RR have offered me more comfort, insight, structure, and motivation than I have ever received regarding my relationship with food. I have been under the care of professionals for 16 years with an eating disorder and although they have surely aided me in my journey, this app is the non-judgmental friend in my pocket that I’ve needed so badly. I can’t believe my good luck of stumbling upon it on my own! I will be telling my psychiatrist and therapist about this service so they can check it out for themselves and recommend it to others like me who need it RIGHT NOW. Thank you to everyone at RR for your hard work and contribution! This service is incredible..Version: 8.7.8

Wonderful appRecovery Record has been so useful to me. Being able to connect with a professional is so important. The ability to keep track of my meals without counting calories is so so helpful. The component of sending kind messages to others is so lovely. Being able to track and see behaviors used is also extremely helpful. The encouragement that this app brings is amazing. There are so many wonderful aspects to this app, I already recommend it by word of mouth. Keep up the amazing work! 💖.Version: 6.5.2

So helpfulI think this is fantastic, it is really helping me and being able to have my therapist on the other end all the time is really comforting :) Makes me feel very supported and like I can achieve my goal :).Version: 5.0.4

Really well designed and helpfulFinding this app well designed and helpful, as well as versatile for whatever your recovery might need or look like. I’ve enjoyed a place to write down quick thoughts as my meals take place. And the inspirational messages and pics and the tools/strategies have been great reminders of tools I’ve learned along the way. Highly recommended.Version: 8.9.9

Great for monitoring your Food & Mood habits.Really impressed with this app. So well thought out and an excellent tool for recovery. I recommend this for all those people, young and older adults learning to survive their problematic beliefs about food and eating. I commend anyone who has downloaded this app, you are making a wonderful first step, with support, in your recovery towards overall good health. Take this app on, have a go and just do your best. Don't be afraid to come back and try again and again. I like that you and your treating carer can access this online together. Excellent!! AAA..Version: 3.3

Ate and left no crumbs (pun intended)This app slayed, there’s so much on their from logging and tracking food to making yourself goals to grounding and meditating and distraction exercises to scrap booking it’s seriously amazing.Version: 9.4.0

Beyond expectationsThe more I explore this app the more I’m blown away. By far the best app on the subject I’ve come across. It’s like you’re little friend you can always turn to. And it works! It’s very early days but I have a feeling it’ll be with me for a while and I’m really looking forward to it. Well done to the creators. Amazing work! And the fact that the app is free makes a big difference too. Thank you!.Version: 6.5.2

New to the appI am new to the app and I’m pleased with it thus far. I am not seeing anyone for my issue and have no support people but this is app is my first step in trying to help myself. Thank you for making the app. I hope it continues to be promising. Being aware of my emotions and thoughts is helpful. The cute animals are adorable by the way..Version: 9.1.7

Inspirational appI have found this app enjoyable and inspirational. Yay!😄💝🌈🎉.Version: 6.4.1

Comprehensive, nurturing and kind AppI have only just commenced utilising this app - but I already feel much better in relation to my binge eating and how to live with it Thank you!.Version: 8.6.1

Useful toolI love how this is set up to work with a counsellor. Only glitch I'm having is syncing all my devices to the same account. Followed the directions but my phone acts as if its a brand new account and the info isn't the same as on my tablet or desktop..Version: 4.8.2

Very usefulYou can make it as simple or complicated as you want. Logging meals is easy but I like having all the options of other things that can support you.Version: 9.1.7

My journey with RRI have a complex mental health issue, culminating in body issues at 65 years of age I am acknowledging. I thought this initially “wasn’t for me” but I trusted my dietician and am using RR and finding out so much about my habits and emotions. Grateful for this..Version: 8.7.5

Great appSeriously really helpful. I turn to it all the time. Notifications can be a tiny bit annoying but a really worthwhile download.Version: 3.21

Great for keeping you on trackVery helpful.Version: 3.21

New BestieThis app is helping. It is teaching me about myself and my experiences as well as giving me the feeling of support that is much needed. It is a little clunkie for me so far but not so much that I would even consider giving up- lifelong learner..Version: 8.6.2

Excellent toolI think this is such an excellent tool. I love the dbt skill reminders and all the features. ♥️♥️♥️.Version: 8.9.7

Perfect appReally makes me mindful and pursue a pattern that looks out for me.Version: 9.1.7

Road to recovery! This app has really helped me be more mindful about my meals and my choices. My Dietian got me onto this app - I’ve only been using it for a short time and I’m already feeling a lot more accountable about my choices, and feel motivated to make better ones. Everyone going through ED Recovery needs this app! It’s my new best friend..Version: 8.9.2

Great App!Pretty easy to use, helps me keep track of my thoughts and feelings while eating. Helps me feel less guilty and more conscious of what I’m doing.Version: 9.3.7

HopeSo helpful. I feel really well supported. Love the encouragement and practical advice. Highly recommend.Version: 8.8.0

Amazing AppI have had this App for over a year. But I never really used it consistently. I still get notifications daily reminding me to eat. They help to remind me to eat. I have fibromyalgia and feel ill all the time. Anyway have been to doc this week who is going to check for Hypoglycemia. I realised that my food always slips. So I have started using the App again and it’s even better than before. So much encouragement and a proper journal to write about thoughts and feelings and log you food. It sets goals and gives meditations and affirmations. You can connect with a specialist (i haven’t) you can buddy up and send gifts to your buddy ( not really sure about this but, could be improved I think). I still have let’s more to explore in the App. Thank you I know this is a great tool for my recovery 😊.Version: 6.5.0

Worth it if you do the workEating disorders are really emotionally charged and are hard to work on because for many it’s a coping skill of dealing with other emotionally difficult life experiences. This app was recommended to me by an eating disorder center/clinic and it’s really in depth and if you actually follow through and do the thought diary you provide insight to your recovery process once you are able to review the past days, weeks, months, years, and you’re able to understand the triggers of what’s going on in your life that has lead you to binges (in my case) or other symptoms that better explain your struggle. You have to want to do the work, if it becomes a chore and you’re getting annoyed with it then it’s going to be a rough road from my experience as if it’s a chore for Me then I’m not 100% in it or am on that path towards recovery. Turned out to be more motivational I guess but it’s a great app and it’s FREE!!!!! Do the work and have the appropriate support necessary for your recovery and it will make a difference for you, I hope!.Version: 6.4.2

BulimiaSuffered with bulimia for 5 years and this app has helped.Version: 8.7.1

Recovery RecordGreat Ap. finding it a really useful tool to support my clients with ED. I can log in and view their logs n use this for the basis of discussion n support between session and in sessions. Have been using the Ap myself - though don't have an ED - and find the prompts really help me stay on the ball with regular eating and logs help me check my thinking about food n exercise. Really happy to recommend to other therapists whose clients are at a stage in there recovery where they are ready for some self- responsibility and readiness for change..Version: 2.6

So glad it’s freeI’m a student trying to recover on a budget so this is a saving grace for me . it’s nice to have everything in one place because I always forget what it is I need to track ... I’d compare it to having a convenient ‘recovery diary’ but I don’t feel so awkward bringing it to the dinner table (because I always have my phone on me anyway .)Basically I would recommend this for people who want to track their progress in recovery and also for people who keep forgetting what it is exactly they need to track ..Version: 8.7.8

Amazing AppI feel stupid that I never dreamt that an app like this could exist. And im not a stupid person! But I am one who needs this app like I never knew until I had it. The link to my therapist is amazing but it’s so much more than that and not simply a tracking app. The positive reinforcements, the focus on your feelings not tracking every calorie you’re eating whilst still tracking it and then everything that pops up after you’ve tracked being so relevant. There’s so much I don’t even know it does yet as there’s so much on here. I can’t recommend it enough as someone starting what I know is going to be a long road to sort out my ED this is an essential tool..Version: 8.9.2

This app has helped change my lifeThank you so much. This app has honestly facilitated me to change my eating habits and therefore my whole life. Could not recommend it highly enough to anyone struggling.Version: 9.2.2

So helpfulI love that this app can give my clinicians a snapshot of my days and feelings... instead of having to try to remember and recap at our meetings... we just get right into discussing what we need to.Version: 8.6.2

Packed with featuresEssential to my recovery. This is the perfect partner to a recovery program, and makes me feel fully supported where I was struggling in some blind spots before using the app. The meal log is especially helpful, along with the cute chime reminder to eat (optional of course). Every new feature reveals more support. The ONLY thing I would add is a hunger/fullness scale option in the meal log, as I find it useful to visualize that I was feeling level 8 hunger at 3pm and I’m going to feel level 2 hunger again by 6pm and not stuffed forever. I love this app and feel like I can’t fail now. Setbacks are going to happen, but I’m on the right path to recovery 🌱🦋🍴.Version: 8.9.7

ExcellentIt's a fantastic app with lots of functions and detailed options to track all aspects of an eating disorder..Version: 4.7.6

AmazingI never write reviews, this is probably the second review I’ve ever written. But I wanted to make sure this app got the recognition it deserved. Now, I’m barely into my recovery and still have a very long road ahead of me and you definitely have to want to put in the work for this app to work but, if you do, this app is truly amazing. It has thought diary’s and moods and whether or not you weighed yourself or counted calories at every meal or snack. And you can go back and look at your own progress and triggers. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone struggling with any type of eating disorder..Version: 6.5.2

Amazing AppI have tried many different food logging apps in the long journey from an eating disorder. This one is by far the best. I love how customizable it is, you can share it with your support team, you can use photos (or not), track your mood, urges to binge, purge, restrict , ect. It has everything you need and is free of cost although this is an app I would be more than happy to pay for. Thank you!.Version: 9.3.4

This app kicks any other food log to the curb!!This app is really awesome and very customizable. I feel like every other food log/diary cannot compare - and ones like MyFitnessPal just need to DIE because they fuel many eating disorders. Several years ago, I dealt with bulimia in college briefly and binge eating constantly up until about November 2019 when I was fed up and truly turned to healing with intuitive eating. I weight cycled for so much of my young life that I’m sure I did metabolic damage to myself (and raised my set point weight a lot). Now I’m learning to eat intuitively and embrace my body. I’m using this app right now during pregnancy as I am at risk for gestational diabetes due to being prediabetic. A lot of diabetes management is triggering for my eating disorder past, so this app is the perfect way did me to be gently mindful of my food and nutrition without logging numbers and every carb. I love the various questions pertaining to mood, hunger, thoughts, and so on because managing our health is so much more than what we eat! Thanks did creating this. I’m excited to continue using it and have my GD dietitian/group coach view my logs. With this app, I don’t feel triggered to be “perfect” with numbers. I can be honest in my food logging and focus on what really matters - my health and my baby’s! Not stupid numbers that induce stress..Version: 9.0.0

CustomisationWish it had more ways to customise it, to take my mind off of stuff. its good otherwise.Version: 9.1.6

GreatThis app is really cool, I like nearly all the features. Only thing I would say is that there are other types of eating disorders not about body image, which is what most of the apps concentration is. A little tweaking and it would be perfect!.Version: 6.4.5

I wish every ED service was aware of thisThe app underpins many aspects from professional treatment I have received in the past for an eating disorder. It is still early days for me to comment too much on this app other than the streamlined support it allows me to offer myself is giving me much hope. I wish I had known of this app sooner, I imagine it a great tool for a lot of people in recovery especially with a clinician. It’s free too, it really seems to be a lifeline for anyone struggling with an illness with their relationship with food..Version: 6.4.2

5 star appI totally love this app it’s super helpful definitely recommended 👍.Version: 8.7.8

LIFE CHANGINGThis app truly is a saviour! Recommended by my psych, it allowed her and the nutritionist to understand what my triggers were, my bad habits, and what times of the day I found most difficult. This app really helped me stay on track of my recovery through the reminders and uplifting quotes and honestly even though I am pretty much recovered now and am living a full and free life I still have the app downloaded for and extra push on those down days and mini mental relapses. Couldn’t recommend this more to anyone battling an eating disorder!!.Version: 8.6.2

ThankfulLove this app. It took a few months for me to stop resenting filing in my food logs. I went through waves of “this is cool” to “not again”. But that’s way more about where I was and how far I’ve progressed. The app is a patient and steady reminder to put yourself first and to slow down and reflect on your real relationship with food..Version: 8.6.2

:)Great app. I can tell already its going to help me out a lot. Especially when I need it. Thank you!.Version: 3.3

This is really good! This app is really helping me to recover its amazing.Version: 6.5.0

Simply the BestI was recently diagnosed with BED and was really lost. I saw that someone recommended this app on a Facebook group I follow and I downloaded it expecting it to be like most of the other food tracking apps. Fortunately, it is not. This app outlines your meals, triggers, and other things and asks you specific questions that don’t necessarily make you feel bad but more conscious. Since downloading I’ve came to terms with some of my feelings by logging them and became more aware of my eating habits. I love the motivational aspects of the app after every meal is logged. It’s a treat to see different coping mechanisms suggested and you can pick on which ones you are willing to try in the future. Overall 5/5. Thank you for creating this app, developers..Version: 9.0.0

Helpful, Great source of support. This app is very helpful in assisting with recovery. It contains so much density in being able to personalize it to fit your specific needs and goals through a wide variety of reward based systems, tracking progress and many, many more functions within the app. Grateful this app exists and it gives you tangible results to be able to see in depth your progress and immense encouragement and support along the way..Version: 9.1.2

Super application ! ;-).Version: 4.8.4

Make recovery betterRecovery is so hard but this I seriously so helpful, made everyday easier.Version: 4.5

Would recommendI find it helpful to document my meals whilst also reflecting what I ate and how I felt during it. Helps to work through my issues with food.Version: 8.9.2

AmazingThis app is amazing it is just what you need if you are feeling out of control with eating and your eating is disordered. It is free and it also has meditations you can use..Version: 9.3.7

HelpEasy to use and also makes you think and feel reasured.Version: 8.7.7

WowCongratulations to the developers of this outstanding app. It's about time that the importance Ed recovery is recognized in the calorie counting lets loose weight attitude of today's world. Many people have Ed that go unrecognized. This is the perfect tool to help those who accept they have an Ed and want to recover and for those who are questioning their beliefs obsessiveness around food/shape/weight, and coming to terms with the fact they they too have an Ed and are simply not ' on a diet to be healthy'. Being healthy and having an Ed/ being underweight/ restricting food intake are 2 very different things. Ed's ruin lives. Get this app and don't let the Ed ruin yours!!.Version: 2.9.1

Recovery made just a little easier. So having a recovery journal sucks. It really does, but this makes it a little better so much is customizable and the reminders are discrete if you want them. It helps me remember why I'm doing this and that yes in fact I need to be fuelling my body at regular intervals. It's hard to be mindful, but I know being mindful helps me and this app really helps me to remember..Version: 5.0.0

New to thisNew to this app but I like the ideas and suggestions it promotes so far..Version: 9.1.4

Best tool for recoveryEverything about this app is helpfull. Pairing up , activities, tools , you can can notifications for your meals and set them to the time that goes with your lifestyle and schedule. Love the fact that you have to enter when you skip meals and yor feelings about every meal. Helped me realize the steps i was taking like the toughts feelings or habits you can fill in(they even propose them ). It is the most helpfull tool towards recovery..Version: 5.0.4

Amazing ApplicationIs very helpful and motivated. I have a strong ED since ages. This application is a really motivation. You can even be connected with your doctor in order to be followed by them. I highly recommended this application..Version: 8.6.2

ExcellentThis app is exactly what I was looking for. I haven’t gotten through all the ins and outs of this but I have already found the tracking to help identify trends and times that lead me to problems with eating. I feel much more organized and aware. I’m meeting with my doctor to discuss the various triggers, how to self manage around them and stop the inner critic in my head who leads me to destructive behavior. Good luck to anyone suffering from this very unfair disease; I’ve dealt with this for over 20 years and this is the first time I’ve felt in control. This app is worth a try if you’re trying to manage through..Version: 6.3.0

A lot of helpI got this app because I lost my appetite and starting skipping meals because of it. I started dropping pounds and it wasn't healthy. RR would send reminders around meal times. It also doesn't tell you the calories of what you ate so it's kind of a judgement free space to log what you ate. it also gives you quotes after you log a meal that are pretty nice to hear. It sends notifications to check if you're doing okay every once in a while. I love it.Version: 9.1.4

Amazing AppSuch a well designed well thought out app.Version: 4.6.5

Helps me stay on recoveryThis app helps me stay in recovery. The feature of connecting with the clinicians is a really great way for everyone to see what's going on and progress being made! Thanks for this app :).Version: 6.0.3

Really helpfulI really like this app. It helps so much to be able to log thoughts and feelings in a neutral space. I even really like the homepage design -the fact that a positive and colourful image takes up most of the screen and the food logs are lower left reminds me of the beauty of life and makes logging feel less central to existence. I wish there were more images! It’s a nice touch..Version: 8.8.6

HelpfulI find this app has really helped me. Would recommend.Version: 8.6.2

AccountabilityThis app has been amazing to help keep me accountable. It has also served as a way to help My dietician to focus in on certain issues I love that when I log it forces me to stop and check in Being working full time and a student part time It’s easy to forget to take a breather and come back to myself.Version: 8.8.0

Life Changing!I am constantly surprised in what ways this app offers help. It's more than I could have ever expected. There is a light at the end of the tunnel after all thanks to this app, treatment centres, help lines, individual counselling, and in person and online support groups. 🙏🏻💞.Version: 5.0.5

Helpful AppThis app is great. It is helping me to see patterns of thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. Being able to connect with my clinician is amazing. She can go in and look for patterns that she thinks are important. She can set what she wants me to log and notice. She can set up coping skills for me to try to use. Awesome app!!.Version: 4.8.2

Decent with room for improvementThe icons and graphics are a bit subpar and could cause an overhaul. Some flows are a little weird and could use refining. Overall good features and learning from the app. I like the ai feature when uploading a photo.Version: 9.1.7

Great App- browser interface update removing log printing a disappointmentGrateful for RR and all that the app provides. However, recent updates to the web browser interface are disappointing—although easier to navigate and a design similar to the app are improvements, the removal of the option to print the pages of meal logs is a setback. The ability to print and or save PDF logs directly from RR was important and useful for many who don’t have the ability or option to use clinician connect or who need print outs for other settings..Version: 8.6.2

Help keeps you on trackCan be a bit overwhelming at first but the good thing is that it lets you log in your meals whenever you want, which ever meal in case you forget to earlier in the day..Version: 6.4.2

Good appGreat tonkesp track of everything including my sleeping cycle :).Version: 6.5.2

Great appI am finding this app really helpful , it allows you to express your thoughts and feelings , it gives you options to help you cope with any bad attitudes to food .. it’s give you hope and that’s important ..Version: 8.7.7

Much more helpful than I had hoped!I have been recovering from an eating disorder for a long time, and I didn’t think I would need this app when my therapist suggested it. Turns out I needed it more than I thought, because I was able to see the disordered patterns of my eating. It made me aware of the triggers and the warning signs. All this improvement has happened and it’s only been a week!! Also the logs don’t use numbers, it’s all qualitative data so I don’t feel the urge to play a game of calorie counting. Highly recommend to others experiencing frequent “eating disorder voice” thoughts.Version: 9.2.1

In recoveryThis app helps me track my thoughts and feelings associated with my urges and behaviors. I got out of treatment a few months ago. I struggle to actively participate in my journey of recovery. Recovery record allows my dietitian to see my progress. It also helps me quickly log throughout the day to keep track of my progress. I definitely suggest this app for anyone who is needing help with disordered thoughts around food or if you have an eating disorder. I love that it also offers tips and affirmations. It’s easy to not pay attention to self-care. Recovery record makes me feel as if I’m at least trying to help myself throughout this process of recovery. DELETE MYFITNESSPAL AND DOWNLOAD THIS PLEASE!.Version: 9.2.1

Very helpfulEasy to use and good clear resource to help with recovery.Version: 9.3.2

Can’t recommend this enough!!!So very thankful I found this app when I did.. in a very low place, this is only my second day on the app but I’m already in love ❤️.Version: 8.6.2

Thank you so muchTo the creators of this app, thank you. now that i think about it, I've had an eating disorder for a long time and dismissed it. this app has definitely helped me be more aware of what is actually going on and how to help it. i love the check ins/log meals thingy and it's helped A LOT. also love that you can meditate and they give you quotes and cute little pictures of animals (🥰) after you do a log. it makes this feel like im not just being pressured to tell what im eating 24/7. asking if we've done any coping mechanisms after we do the meal log really helps as well because it makes me feel like this is something that i can control. needless to say, best app ever, im still making progress but thank you again!!💗.Version: 8.8.1

AmazingThis app helps keep track of what I'm going through , I really do recommend it.Version: 4.2

Helpful and...I love that my clinician can log in and see my logging without me having to send them. I like how personalized the app can be too, as well as the strong DBT utilization. AND There are so many questions and rating scales and comment boxes it can be overwhelming and not user friendly. This means some days I just don’t want to deal with the whole evolution, so I don’t log. I also do not always log in real time and this app is not conducive to back logging. Overall, I think it’s a great app and my clinician and I both see benefits. Once in the routine of logging this app is great!.Version: 6.4.2

Amazing! This app is a breath of fresh air! I’ve been working on cultivating a healthier relationship with food and have been wanting to track how things are going, but really struggled to find an app that didn’t aggravate disordered thoughts/behaviors. Seeing the calories listed in MyFitnessPal just complicates/worsened things rather than helping. This app is so comprehensive and clearly made by folks in tune with the communities that struggle with disordered eating. Also, super neat that there’s the option of connecting with any clinicians in your support team (if they have or are willing to get the app). I also love that they have mindfulness and coping skills activities, though I haven’t utilized that yet and can’t comment on what they’re like. I think it could be a good fit for anyone struggling with how their eating/exercise habits impacts their emotional/physical health, whether they’re significantly or minority affected. If you’re considering it please give it a try! PS, Kudos to the developers!.Version: 9.4.0

A Remarkable Recovery ToolWith help from my nutritionist, therapist and Recovery Record, I am finally taking control of my eating disorder. I am so thankful for this app. It helps me stick to my meal plan, provides an outlet to vent about my food concerns and helps me to stay intact with my body and work with it rather than against. Plus I love the meditations! My only suggestion is to update the meal plan customizer. My meal plan calls for two afternoon snacks with different exchanges, but RR only allows the user to make one afternoon snack template. I would love it if you could fix this. Besides that, it's a perfect app! Thank you for creating Recovery Record! 💜.Version: 6.2.0

Really helpful toolI find this app really useful as it is designed for people with eating disorders and has a lot of positive reassurances so I always feel okay about entering my logs truthfully..Version: 4.5

Binge eating disorderGood app... getting used to navigating my way through it. Very good for learning about patterns of behaviours and reinforcing my awareness about my eating.Version: 8.6.2

Step one to recoveryI’ve been using R&R on and off for about 8 years now. I find it helpful to remind me to eat and be mindful of what I’m eating as well. I really like how it allows me to keep track without obsessing and how it constantly asks me how I’m feeling during eat log. I’m able to track progress and when I forget to log I don’t feel shame or like I’ve done something wrong. It’s a great app and I think it would be even better if you linked with a clinician. Nothing but positive things to say about this app as I’ve been in and out of recovery for 10 years I find this app is a great first step even if you just use it yourself..Version: 9.1.8

Helpful Eating Disorder AppThis little app really works. Record your daily food intake and feels. Identify triggers and thought dis function..Version: 8.9.9

UnparalleledThis app is amazing. After so many years of obsessively tracking my eating, I was very resistant. But this app makes tracking feel so different. I love that you can customize everything to have as much or as little prompting as you want. I especially appreciate the prompts on hunger cues before and after meals, rating the mindfulness of the meal, and being able to upload photos of meal for auto-detection. Every time I log a meal, it displays a beautiful photo and meaningful quote which I find very inspiring. I really love that you can even enter your values in a separate part of the app, journal about them, upload pics/vision boards, and get periodic reminders. It’s helpful to be able to add a clinician to share your meals with too. Overall, I find this app an essential tool for healing. I honestly can’t believe it doesn’t cost $50/month. It’s amazing!.Version: 8.8.3

Recovery RecordRR is really helping me to become aware of what my habits are with my eating disorder, I am hopeful of a good recovery with my dietician and the app.Version: 8.9.0

ExcellentSuch a good app. It's really helped me.Version: 4.6.2

Good appHonestly a bit time consuming to use but at the same time, makes you pay attention. Truly a useful app. I'll likely use it for a long time just to keep an eye on my recovery and my health. Found it accidentally while looking for something else - thank you universe!.Version: 4.8.4

So customizableIt is amazing how personally suited you can customize it. Really keeps me on track and motivated to change..Version: 4.8.2

Fantastic and FreeI'm just starting the recovery process, but I can already see how powerful this tool can be - to anyone at any stage in recovery or discovery. Great app and I'm glad it's available to us - thank you!.Version: 5.0.0

Great appIf you want emotional and mind awareness and to make personal, internal changes, if you want to understand your relationship with food and the emotions that sit below the surface- then this app is for you. Be warned- this is confronting, eye opening stuff. In a good way. Thank you for this wonderful tool. Love the reward too, brilliant, and also confronting and eye opening. Just great 👍 💖🥰.Version: 8.6.2

Brilliant AppThis app has assisted to improve my relationship with food whilst remaining honest with myself. This is a fabulous tool for me as a sufferer of fibromyalgia & mental health struggles. This app has helped to improve my physical ailments (as someone who forgets to eat, the app alerts me to eat) & realise that the relationship between food & my fibromyalgia flare ups are related & can be managed. Ive been using this app for only 2 weeks & I already notice a difference in my physical health..Version: 9.1.7

Excellent!I was writing down food logs everyday for my dietician and getting over carrying the papers around and pulling them out to fill out. My recovery team put me onto this app and it is so much better! I love the fact that I am able to fill out my food logs in front of everyone without them knowing what I am doing!.Version: 6.4.1

Exactly what I was looking forI have been looking for an app to help me log meals without calories for a while now, just to track behaviour and see possible patterns and ways to improve my relationship with food. I also wanted to eat more mindfully, which this app is all about. The app asks questions to make you think honestly about what you do and your goals. It focuses more on the experience of eating rather than what you eat, and your emotions toward it. The app is more than just for food; it can track different thoughts, sleep patterns and more. This is just the perfect all in one for me, and I hope more people willing to increase their wellbeing toward food and their life in general will find this app..Version: 9.1.0

RR leads to progressBeing able to log thoughts feelings and behaviours on my phone is really helpful. I don’t feel awkward about it as people just think texting..Version: 6.4.5

Great toolUsing this app has really been extremely helpful. I love how I can record my feelings, thoughts, daily. This really helps me get inside my thoughts, why, how, what to do etc. I get a clearer picture of what's troubling me...I can log my meals, set goals for the week, read inspiring messages daily, I can access my logs to review how the week has gone ...I can use a coping skills at each meal. So many to choose from. You can set a passcode as well. I used to journal and was always afraid someone would read it. Problem solved. I can journal my thoughts each day here. As a compulsive overeater and binger, this has helped keep me more on track. A lot of my problems are in my head. Getting in touch with my feelings and allowing myself to feel my feelings instead of overeating because of them is BIG for me..Version: 6.4.2

Great for mental healthI don’t have an eating disorder, but have gained a lot of weight related to mental health issues. Sometimes I eat to avoid or just to self soothe. I’m not sure if their nourishly app might be a better fit, but this app works for me. I use another app to count calories, but when I’m feeling lazy or overwhelmed, I tend to stick to this log more often. I love the daily backgrounds and the motivational rewards at the end of each log. I wasn’t using the coping methods and goal setting functions until recently, because I didn’t want to complicate the already seamless functions. But, after I added a bunch of the preset clinical tools, it just seemed to work automatically. You can personalize your food log so that it doesn’t show certain eating disorder questions, if they’re not relevant, and you can set your own goals and coping tools based on your own triggers. Assigning my mood at each food log had been very useful for me as a mood journal in general, to be more mindful, since doing it along with meals makes me log more often than I normally would. It’s a great combination to keep track of food and mood together. And as stated, the focus on mental health in this app has been very useful to me. I recommend it for anyone that wants to focus on these two aspects of life in one place..Version: 8.6.2

Thank youBest app , keep up the good work , you have helped me more then u know.Version: 8.6.2

Great appReally helpful if you're committed to recovery..Version: 3.1

TransformationalI downloaded this app on the suggestion of my nutritionist, and it’s really changed the way I consider food and my relationship to it. I’m still in early days, but I love the constant focus on noticing my thoughts and emotions. The cute little cutout rewards are such a fun touch. There are still so many features that I haven’t even used yet. I feel hopeful about my future. Especially when used in combination with a talented nutritionist and psychologist, I can see how this app can contribute to sustainable, long-lasting change for the better..Version: 8.9.9

Love it so Far!I’ve been battling with this illness for 21 years and I’ve been constantly trying and failing to heal from this. I’m only on day one of this app but so far I think it is a GREAT tool to get you thinking and discovering what your triggers might be and coming up with solutions. It creates awareness and accountability. Plus if you have to log you food it might help you avoid binging if you know you have to write it down and face the emotions behind it. I’m going to keep trying … that’s all I know..Version: 9.3.9

High recommendThis app has really helped me with my recovery.. it makes you sit back and think.. so I’m constantly making a choice .. takes the focus on calorie counting away and more about how you are feeling .. great app!.Version: 9.2.0

Great reminders throughout the day, helps with staying mindful, and organizing thoughtsI’m new to using this app or anything like it. My relationship with food / macro or calorie tracking and weighing / body checking for years has often been unhealthy. My thoughts using this app for just a few days—it’s a game changer for me! Even though I’m working with a therapist on some of the issues the app addresses, I still forget to be mindful and aware of my mood throughout the day, so this app has helped so much!! A great place to turn when you feel certain urges, it helps to identify and organize thoughts, then calm down prior to acting on them. The quotes and mantras are a nice bonus. I wish it was updated to a more modern look and feel but it really gets the job done and well. I love that you also don’t need to create a profile if not linking with a clinician, so your email isn’t filled with notifications or ads..Version: 8.8.4

BED suffererI absolutely love this app. I feel it is going to really help my recovery. I love the affirmations and mantras. It really supports my self esteem. I like making notes about my thoughts and feelings. 5 stars from me ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.Version: 9.1.9

REALLY HELPFULFound it easy and convenient. Gentle reminders and quick input make it useful..Version: 4.7.6

Wonderful ToolFinding this such a helpful tool on recovery! It's making a huge difference!.Version: 4.8.2

Necessary for recovery!I’ve only been using Recovery Record since October 29, 2019, but I haven’t regretted downloading it. It makes logging my meals and snacks so much easier for both me and my clinicians. You can literally set goals, contact clinicians, and even keep track of your heart rate, all in the same app! Even though I’m recovering from anorexia nervosa, this app can help me recover from so much more, like depression and anxiety. I have access to coping skills, a meal planner, and meditations that are stress relievers for me. All of these tools, 100% free! What’s impressive is that this app works perfectly without Wi-Fi. Honestly, this app is necessary for recovery from any eating disorder, and so worth it!.Version: 8.6.2

Love app! But please fix back loggingI absolutely love this app! I’ve been using it for almost a year now and it has really helped me to recover from my eating disorder. I love that I can take pictures of my food and it is so simple to use. I also love the quotes and pictures and I love the new feature where you can save them in the app.(way better than making a screen shot of all of them!) I also really love the new meditation Feature, however, it would be helpful if there was a timer on it so it didn’t keep repeating itself for the sleep one. Also, I put five stars because after the update Its almost impossible to add logs from another day without my app freezing and having to quit the app and start over every time I add a photo..Version: 8.7.8

Absolutely brilliantLovely app that you can use as a handy journal that makes processing thoughts and setting goals very easy..Version: 9.1.0

AmazingThis is the first review I’ve ever written but I needed to give something back to the creators of the app. It’s the best app I’ve ever used. I keep discovering things (the meditation today...) and it’s amazing. Thank you so much 💛 I’m on day 3 and it’s helped already with binge urges. The rewards and messages are so helpful. My UK ED therapist recommended this app to me and so thankful she did..Version: 8.6.2

Very helpful appI have found this app incredibly useful while I wait for professional treatment. It has helped immensely with mindful eating and thinking about things in a different light..Version: 5.0.0

Great!I love your app! It has helped me so much in my recovery over the years. A few bugs that really need to be fixed tho. One is the thought and meal logs are still running off the page. It's just been an issue since dark mode and trigger logging was added a few months ago. Please please fix!!! It would also be nice we could customize what is "disordered" and toggle an "on" or "off" disordered button for custom questions. I think keeping the "disordered" presets would still be good -- we should just be able to identify other behaviors (like excessive water consumption) as disordered so that clinicians immediately know what you're struggling with..Version: 8.8.2

FINALLY, A TRACKING APP THAT WORKS!I am the worst at tracking my intake and this app makes it simple and quick to do, and even encourages you along the way. I’m so glad I found this! I love the option to take photos of your meals or snacks to help remember when looking back, as well as see your portion sizes. The questions it asks are specific to those with EDs and there is plenty of opportunity to explain feelings and thoughts about meals and behaviors. I love the encouraging messages and coping suggestions as well’ Wonderful app, 10/10 suggest for anyone with an eating disorder! :).Version: 9.2.2

Best recovery app for EDI can’t believe this app is free! It’s amazing. The set up is so in-depth and good sound knowledge of the nature of recovery from eating disorders. I would recommend 100%..Version: 9.1.8

Comprehensive, educational, supportive. This is a comprehensive resource that focuses on key approaches to promote recovery and positive body image. Keep a record of the meals you eat and how made you feel when you ate them through this app. Read reflections, affirmations along your recovery journey, collect “jigsaw pieces” for positive behaviours, and complete questionnaires that’ll help you track your progress over time. You can link the app to your treatment team so they can provide encouragement and support..Version: 6.4.2

Fantastic, easy to use app ! ;)Fantastic easy to use app, very convenient I love it I would recommend to anyone wanting to track food and emotions It’s really helped me !! Be conscious when eating and my emotions around food :).Version: 9.3.0

A life App is here!I never learned how to properly eat and as an adult at age 51 it was time. What I was eating and not eating had taken it’s toll on my health. I learned through the words of a top notch a dietician that I have “disordered eating.” Essentially I have a diet mentality with all that I ate or restricted. These sessions with my Dietician are incredibly eye opening. I gained enough weight for diabetes type 2, neuropathy, horrific IBS, and a completely broken view of food. One of the most important tools that I was given the choice to use was this amazing app. I’m a huge procrastinator (except for my business).. especially when it’s anything to do with being healthy. Until now! This app is simple, fun, thought provoking, wise, motivational and challenging all in one. It’s helping this food junkie completely change what, how and when I eat. It’s not restrictive and not a diet app. It’s a life app that is teaching me much more on a daily basis. This is unlike any app I have ever used. 5 stars and my highest possible rating for ease of use, reliability, and beauty..Version: 8.6.1

Great AppIt has a really helpful interface and it non-confrontational..Version: 8.6.2

Tool for recoveryThis app is a great record keeper, it's personal and unobtrusive. Worth getting if you're serious about recovering :).Version: 3.3

ComprehensiveReally good way to keep track of the symptoms and behaviours that are easily forgotten. Small chunks of thoughts on like post it’s..feels more manageable than sitting to write a whole diary entry..Version: 6.1.4

Very very helpful!!This app has been a big helping hand in my recovery journey. It’s features of meal planning and meal notifications helps me make sure I’m taking the right steps towards recovery. It’s positive messages and reward system motivates and comforts me in my time of need, reassuring me that I’m okay and my life is worth living. If you, or a loved one, is tackling an eating disorder I HIGHLY recommend Recovery Record..Version: 8.6.2

MindfulnessA great tool to be shared between a patient and mental health professional. The app encourages routine guided by the health professional. I highly recommend the app..Version: 9.1.4

Don’t hesitateJust go for it!! ❤️.Version: 8.8.0

Beautifully done and so helpfulThis app is so so well made and easy to use. it’s also genuinely helpful which is something i’m not used to with “recovery” apps. i recommend this app to anyone struggling as it’s FAR better than the sober app as it doesn’t just keep track of the time. it gives you tools, motivation, actual reminders and much more. it uses proper terminology and doesn’t sugar coat anything. if you are struggling, please download this. hoping that everyone who reads this has an effective and painless recovery, u r so loved 💛💛.Version: 9.3.0

Great appLove this app offer so many tools. The only thing I would like to see is a way to have supporters you can talk too..Version: 4.8.2

Top notchSuch a fantastic app, have posted a few times on my health tumblr as I recommend it to anyone who wants to be more mindful before eating and I think it is fantastic for Jose struggling with eating disorders especially. I have a history and still to this day struggle with bingeing disorder and my psych has said this is a perfect tool to help me with recovery. The affirmations, questions and gift incentives make it awesome an you feel as though you are not the only one in his disorderly pickle..Version: 2.6

Lots of great stuff!Great first experience with a mental health app! I love the quotes and pictures I get to collect after each login and the coping strategies, feeling words and reasons to continue working on myself. The charts are nice to have too!.Version: 8.8.0

This App Is AmazingI have struggled with bulimia nervosa since I was 9 years old. I honestly didn’t think I’d ever get out of the binge-purge cycle. I was throwing up constantly, I had a physical laxative dependence. I tried to help myself, but seemed to work. Every time I “recovered”, I’d relapse within a few months. And then I found recovery record. It has been here for me when nobody else is. Lately, I’m doing very, very well, and I’m coming off laxatives. This app has helped me tremendously, and I’m eternally grateful. Plus, it’s free when I can’t afford much at the moment. This has been such an amazing blessing!.Version: 8.9.2

RR app is greatThis app helps you to monitor your progress, learn new skills, and analyze your problem, finally remodel your approach to food and eating.Version: 9.0.0

This app may save lives!Keeps you accountable, helps to develop healthy coping skills, identify triggers and behaviour trends with plenty of positive affirmations that can be saved on your phone. An amazing resource to help with recovery!!.Version: 5.0.0

ReviewPut together superbly to hold your hand and guide you through recovery..Version: 4.5

ExcellentThis app is very helpful and easy to use. Definitely seeing progress!.Version: 4.8.6

Kind, encouraging, like a friendPart journal, part therapist, part friend. Totally supportive, and not too high pressure. It has you evaluate your feelings, mood, appetite, urges without any sort of judgement - just a guilt-free self-reflection. Totally customizable, and the notifications aren't aggressive or annoying. So far it's keeping me in a much more positive frame of mind than when the onus has been on me to log every calorie (myfitnesspal, lose it). I think it really is conducive to making a lasting change in behavior around food. Great app..Version: 4.8.2

This is the best App I have ever used!!I have had an eating disorder for more than 40 years and have been looking for some type of immediate ongoing feedback and support. So far, I cannot believe what a difference this program has made in my life. I am a busy professional that does not have time to commit to appointments in doctor’s offices everyday. This keeps me on track and in touch with professionals and support groups. It’s about time I found this!! Why haven’t doctors suggested this before???.Version: 8.6.2

Fab appReally really has helped me cope with my eating and made me much more mindful of what am doing & why..Version: 8.6.2

Amazing, 100% helped so much. After logging a meal, no matter how you feel/felt about it, the motivational pics and quotes afterwards pick you right back up and make you smile. It allows you to keep track of your thoughts in line with each meal, and keep track of your moods to identify trends. It’s a cute app that makes you smile and has a gentle reminder system that isn’t intrusive or overly eye catching when you’re scrolling through your home screen. By tracking your feelings after each meal, it forces you to rethink how you feel. Did I really dislike eating as much as I thought? No, turns out it was quite tasty. This app is definitely worth t.Version: 8.6.2

ReviewI absolutely love this app it helps me so much as a young person, 5 stars!!.Version: 9.3.0

It worksBeen struggling with my eating disorder for decades. Countless books. Countless therapists. Countless diets. I have just experienced ten whole days eating normally. Unbelievable. Just try it..Version: 4.7.6

AmazingThis app is so amazing and impressive. The designers really thought of everything. I can’t rate them highly enough.Version: 8.6.2

Helping me to deal with my binge eatingI was hospitalized a few days ago because I thought I was having a heart attack. Turned out I actually have GERD from binge eating from time to time. I never wanna deal with that kind of pain again and I’m sick of this extra weight I’ve put on and so this app is really helping me to think about what I eat and when and why. It’s only been a few days so it’s too soon to say for sure but I really do think that I may have my compulsion in hand, due in part to this app..Version: 8.6.2

Recovery Record - It's a win one entry at a timeRecovery Record is a brilliant app! It's a win one entry at a time. Am - 33yrs old, 18 yrs since my diagnosis, 5yrs in recovery, 10days (as of 18 Dec 2011) on Recovery Record - it has freed up a lot of mental & emotional RAM so I can focus on other parts of my life. The app is free with more development to come in regards to reminders & iPhone calendar integration (I've been in contact with the very cool dev team.) To live a full life is what we're here for & you are doing a wonderful thing by making your Recovery Record every day. It's a win one entry at a time. -- Carol M.E. Martin.Version: 2.4

Great appThis app is great!.Version: 3.3

Thank you RR!Thanks to RR I have hope that I can actually overcome my eating disorder and live a healthy and happy life while managing my illness. Thank you so much to the wonderful people who created this app..Version: 5.0.5

RR Subtle, yet PowerfulI have been using RR for a little over a month now, as part of my treatment for an ED. My health has been very challenging for me even as aware as I can sometimes be. Yet, I have found RR subtly making a significant difference in the way that it interacts with my daily life in allowing me to bring awareness to thoughts, feeling, sensations, emotions environment, socializations, and to observe how the illness works. It’s also very powerful to know that is being witnessed by a clinician and that there is a Feedback loop happening - so there’s a sense of connection and care. And possibly most importantly of all for me, is that it is filled with positive affirmations, coping skills and provides a backdrop of how important self-care can be in changing the body politic. Since I’ve been engaging in it I’ve also adopted a lot more self care of my own in action in my daily life. I find being accountable for what I’m experiencing IS shifting things for me in a very important way. :-).Version: 9.2.6

RRGreat app very innovative and helpful to everyone suffering with an eating disorder.Version: 4.6.0

Good app, Great Potential to be AmazingNowadays I think a lot of apps neglect the look and functional flow of the apps and unfortunately I think this app has done this. I think the concept and features of this app are absolutely amazing as many suffering from an ED use similar apps to restrict and find hard to let go off them in recovery and I think creating an app that is similar to many calorie trackers out there it helps to transition into healthy eating while still giving individuals a chance to continue their own rituals but in a more healthy and constructive way. I hope you continue on improving the app because I’m sure it could help many!.Version: 6.5.5

ThxLove it. so much. many thx..Version: 4.9.2

HelpfulThis app is super helpful and keeping you aware on your recovery and entering logs so your treating team can see where your at when you don’t have appointments.Version: 9.4.2

Very helpfulI have only been using RR for a couple of days but after examining all the features I can see this is a new approach that is science based. I believe this app is going to be a great help to my recovery..Version: 8.6.2

So grateful for this appThanks for this app it is genuinely helping me and I’ve only had it 3 days. Thank you thank you thank you x🙏❤️.Version: 6.4.5

AmazingThere is so much to this app and it's really helping me get myself together..Version: 5.0.4

It’s like a digital therapist + journalI had this recommended to me by my dietician, and although recover from OSFED (other specified feeding and eating disorder) is not easy, this is so helpful. It’s a good, healthy replacement for tracking calories (which is my personal crutch) and it helps you to find new self talk through suggested affirmations, and helps you track your mood for each meal. Even though eating still makes me really anxious, seeing how much I was able to eat (although triggering sometimes) actually really motivates me to be proud of myself and keep a good record. And you can connect with your clinician on her so they can keep track of you and help you work through bad days. I jest started using this and I’m a long way from full recovery, but I know this is something I’m going to hold on to, I highly recommend it for anyone working towards eating disorder recovery.Version: 8.9.2

Really helpful - no calories!Helping me not slip up into a full blown relapse, able to log many emotions and set reminders not only to eat but also to log meals.Version: 8.6.2

Great tool!Love this app! Would like for it to include Canada's Food Guide so we can count items from each category to make sure we are meeting nutritional needs. Otherwise, this tool is fantastic!.Version: 4.8.2

FlexibleI appreciate the flexibility this app gives. Also the encouragement section is the best..Version: 9.4.6
