Crashes constantly, navigating a bit stickyAlthough the look of the app is slick, navigating it should come with more intuitive structures. Also, my app crashed every single time I opened it, even with the most current update. I won’t be recommending this to patients as it would be too frustrating..Version: 3.5.3

FrustratedSome parts of the app are really helpful: keeping track of emotions and skills, and being able to edit them. However, (1) one of the selling points is emailing the diary card to your therapist, and this feature hasn’t worked, I could email it to my self either. I’ve been sending screenshots to my therapist instead, hence PART of my frustration. (2) I have emailed support twice on the matter without a response, it has been months. (3) I also have questions I want to ask about some of the features like trying to adjust the date on the diary card (since I’m doing it manually), but I can’t; (4) and the colored graphs look really cool except it’s not showing the second page or all the variables. In closing, the above issues aside, I like this app. I like adding time stamped notes with my thoughts and adjusting the categories throughout the day, and the daily alarm to complete it. I hope someone sees this and gets in contact with me and fixes the problems. Peace..Version: 3.7.4

The raving review that you read when you start to look at this apps photos of iTunes users reviews is actually MY OWN REVIEW! from many years ago and I urge everyone to not buy this! You will be wasting your money as this app no longer works has no support whatsoever. I wasn’t shocked when I hit the button to write a review that I was presented with a blank page as if I had never given an opinion in about my purchase. Am I Missing Something or is the app missing an opportunity?This app is well put together and I prefer it to the current offerings like Woebot and similar. I have stopped using it regularly because of what seems like it must be a bug due to its absence. The app can generate reports based on daily self reporting of symptoms and strategies used. There is also a section where you can self report skills used. The most helpful part of app to consult in crisis is the coaching section. It would really help me and I believe others of the user interaction with the coaching section were AUTOMATICALLY tracked in the coaching section would auto fill the corresponding sections in the daily log view. This would be helpful reminders of which skills were turned to help when in a moment of distress and a prompt to memory of how and whether that skill helped and what to do with the skill next time.Version: 3.6.6

Not fit for purposeThis app continually crashes and the odd time I was able to get into the DBT reference there were no skills listed. I would not recommend buying. Uninstalling and reinstalling does not work. Apple won’t refund the purchase price.Version: 3.7.4

Not worth itThe features aren’t anything you can’t get on a free app. The entire design of the thing is clumsy. I actually tried to get tech help from the people who make it and got no answers. Maybe if you have a therapist who’s guiding you through it in a way to make it useful then it works. Otherwise it gives you silly suggestions and doesn’t guide you through anything and frankly DON’T use this if you are needing help or guidance with DBT especially if you’re having a rough time and looking for a tool for coping and using DBT. Lots of bugsWhen the app is working correctly, it’s great. However, I’m currently dealing with an issue I’ve had several times in the past where the function to send the diary card to my therapist simply does not work. I have tried sending mine 3 times now and nothing happens. Also, the date selector is horribly bugged and does not highlight the dates appropriately in the scrolling menu, and sometimes it won’t let you even select a certain date without automatically scrolling to something different. Looking into using another app at this point because this one has become unreliable. They haven’t released any updates in a year..Version: 3.7.4

Way too many glitches and too pricey for what you getCan’t add apps, can’t change date, crazy colors and freaks out when going through settings menu. This is just a start since I just got the app. Plus visually not appealing or soothing when part of DBT is senses. I don’t know if all the skills are there (haven’t gotten too far yet). Needs a little workFirst off, I absolutely love this app and recommend it highly. I just have a couple of items that I feel would greatly improve the app’s usefulness. 1.- When using the coaching feature, the text boxes don’t allow use of iPhone’s keyboard predictive text feature that I rely on for text input. I don’t know if there is any way to enable its use/functionality but I would really appreciate it as it would make using the coaching feature less cumbersome. 2.- It would mean a lot if there was a way to save the coaching feature text and come back to it. Or even get Siri to encourage a user to complete the coaching text. I don’t know if it’s my ADHD or my chronic pain that makes it hard to complete all of the coaching texts in one sitting. But I feel like I need to sometimes think over the question and I have lost my input and had to start over. 3.- Lastly, and I have no idea how this would be deployed…but I would love more integration with Siri. I don’t know if there’s a way to get a check-in about my overall mood or symptoms and based off that result to use whatever features. 4.- I would love for the time that I spend working on DBT skills to translate into the mindfulness health data in Apple’s Health app, for mindfulness related skills or activities that I’m doing with the app’s recommendation(s). Use to be awesome, just badly needs an updateThis app rules when it’s actually working. My phone updated and now sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. When it does work it’s craaaazy slow. So. Don’t bother!The people who wrote this app may know DBT but they don’t know anything about user interfaces. Navigation was completely unintuitive and i could not find some basic functions. I have worked in computer/IT for 40 years, and this is one of the most un-usable apps I have seen. Also, The only way to export diary cards was thru a “generate email” function but that did not work for me. There should be a way to upload the diary PDF to the cloud or another device. My DBT therapist provided an Excel version of the diary card and it’s much less frustrating than this app..Version: 3.7.4

Is Anyone There?Hello, I am a person in therapy, and my therapist has had me using this app for about a year now and it’s been pretty good so far. Everyone at my therapist’s practice uses this app, and I know my therapist has come to rely on it. That being said, after the update to IOS 16, I can no longer load the chart feature which is the only way for my therapist and I to really look at how my week’s been. The support email is defunct, and this app hasn’t been updated in 2 years, so I’m just leaving this review to see if anyone’s still paying attention, because I’d love for this app to get fixed so my therapist, her practice, and I don’t have to try to find a replacement. AwfulI have been in dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT) for almost a year now and I downloaded this app to see if it would help and if it was something to share in a group therapy session. Dear Developer/Therapist who created this app,I get that app development is not your day job. I get that you created something that you thought would be (and is!) helpful. But now things are breaking within the app and you’ve either decided to do nothing or have completely forgotten about us altogether. Or maybe you know we’re frustrated but don’t know how to fix the litany of bugs in your app. That’s understandable. But we did pay for this app, and therefore a certain standard of upkeep is required. If you are not up to that task, I suggest issuing us all refunds and making this a free app. If you aren’t willing to issue refunds and can’t fix the bugs, perhaps hire a developer short-term who can. Great structure- frustrating executionI am hopeful that this app will be updated with a better system of downloading the charts for my therapist. I feel like I have tried everything to get the email to work but it fails every time. Or I wish I could just download the pdf of the chart. Support button isn’t working either. So-soThis app has been more helpful than not but there are a few issues I have with it. Positive aspects: - I really like how much DBT stuff has been integrated into the app. - I like that the urges and emotions are customizable. Helps a lot with trying to track your own circumstances. Negative aspects: - I have yet to be able to send a report of my tracking despite having my email entered. I've tried removing it and putting back but still am unable to send. I don't want to delete the app and retry because then I lose all the data I have so far. - App could use some refreshing and be a little more user-friendly. As someone who has done a DBT course the skills are familiar enough to me that I know when and how to use them but for someone without prior instruction this app would not be much help. Cool but not greatI love the idea of having an app for doing your DBT diary card instead of paper, but there’s a couple things that haven’t been working for me. 1. When I click into my diary card chart of my overall week to review, it glitches everytime and doesn’t open for me. 2. When I send my email of my diary card for the week, it shows other/extra skills, behaviors, and targets that are automatically on there, instead of just the ones I want on there…just a waste of time to read over the skills and behaviors I don’t use. 3. It won’t let me add my 911 contacts. Whenever I hit the contact to add it just calls the friend and doesn’t add them. Is this app just out of date and not used anymore???.Version: 3.7.4

New bugI have LOVED this app for the two years I have been in DBT. Absolutely loved it. Major Flaw: Security Passcode Doesn’t WorkEnabling the security passcode feature is useless since when prompted to enter the passcode you can simply swipe down on the pop-up and bypass the passcode all together. So much for having a “security feature”. I find this to be a major flaw that either needs to be removed or updated immediately since after all, personal/confidential information is entered in this app that usually only your counselor sees..Version: 3.7.4

Doesn’t work anymore for our entire groupApp worked well for a few weeks but now (October 2023) it shuts down as soon as you open it. Needs an update please!Hasn’t been updated in TEN months. Date picker no longer works (in mail dairy card feature) Plus and minus buttons are too tiny, well below the 44 square pixels in Apples guidelines. Don’t buy!I wish I could get my money back. I’m currently in a DBT class using the workbook written by Marsha Linehan, and this app is missing some crucial skills listed in her manual. This is a problem because anxiety and distress cause cognitive problems for many people. When I’m in a crisis, I don’t want to have to root around to find the skills I need. Also, DBT uses acronyms for a reason—they help you access information you have retained when your cognitive faculties are diminished. This app does not include them. For example, the Distress Tolerance acronyms are not used, even if the ideas are there. I’m guessing the app does not match up exactly because the developer would not be able to charge for it (or charge so much!). I want my money back. I think it’s predatory to charge so much for something that takes a clinically- and time-tested set of skills and information, waters it down so you can’t be sued for selling it, and targets an audience that is likely feeling some level of distress or desperation..Version: 3.7.4

Decent AppPaid for the application and can’t get it to email my diary cards. Filled out the emails and other contact info and selected to have them sent on a certain day. Email copies doesn’t workI’ve tried emailing my chart from both the charts & graphs section and from the settings that allow me to add my therapist’s and my email addresses and send copies manually. Can only log once a dayLove the customizability, but you can only log one entry per day. The dairy card my therapist gave me logs AM and PM, so this can’t be a replacement for that. I assumed the twice a day entry was standard for this exercise, and wouldn’t have bought the app if I knew. I find logging emotions in the morning and evening is very important..Version: 3.7.4

GlitchyBeen using this app for awhile, everything is okay at best. Originally when I downloaded it years ago there were no other DBT apps out there. Now, there’s tons, and most of them are free. I paid for this one. A few things I don’t like: this app resets your previous data from diary cards when you try and customize or fix a target behavior or skill, instead of storing the old data as separate. Also, it won’t let me add my therapists email for some reason. Her email works until I type the “s” at the end and then I can’t hit the save button. If you have the money, pay for it. Years ago this was my only option for doing a DBT diary card on my phone. But now, there’s lots of free options out there, I recommend you try a different app..Version: 3.7.4

Support unresponsiveThis is my second time trying to post a review to hopefully get some support since I can’t use the in app support buttons. My last review apparently got denied and I’ve emailed a couple times as well. I can’t send my diary cards to my therapist through the app because the send buttons on the upper right hand corner are grayed out, as well as when I try to send support requests. I literally haven’t been able to send ANY of cards to my therapist since I’ve started seeing her. This is super frustrating because I could be helping my therapist get to know my day to day better. 5STAR MINUS 2So this application is wonderful, I’m a disabled US Army Vet and this app was recommended to me from my one on one therapist and my PTSD group therapy. It’s full of all the information covered in our text and when it’s time to email my DBT Card to my therapist THERE lies the problem. The email option DOES NOT work. I don’t care it’s only $5 for the app, my money, my time. Physically Im not always able to use my hands fully and I use a lot of Dragon Speech to Text to help me get schoolwork done. It’s a huge imposition to try and screenshot all the pages, print them to scan, only to EMAIL😞The up and down honestly aggravates my injuries and as I await a much needed surgery on my limbs, this COVID crap has everything canceled so the convenience of being able to EMAIL the PDF would be a FANTASTIC 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.Version: 3.7.4

Always issues saving NotesConstantly have issues saving notes. And this goes back update after update. Finally so frustrated with the app and saving issues that I’m scraping it. Days where entries were there and I saw them saved are gone. Today I’ve entered my day twice both gone. It’s too bad because outside of storing my data the platform/layout is nice and user friendly. I always have issues sending it to the therapist. If you don’t use the standard mail client and you use say gmail app you can’t send (workaround I’ve been using is screen capturing it and sending the screen cap to the therapist). I’m done with trying to find workarounds. Next app pls..Version: 3.6.4

Poor designAn app that cost me $7.50 should be better designed. Ux is no where close to being streamlined. 2/3 of the space of the menu page is wasted for a logo? Leaving the actual menu way too small to navigate and the choice of titles just makes something simple really confusing and complicated. Poor use of composition and kerning makes it really hard to visually navigate app. Under DBT reference- again, the actually area where the description is displayed is less than 1/4 of the total screen area. Over 3/4 is taken up very large “skills”. Downloaded this app early in the afternoon. It is now 10:30pm. I have spent less than 10 minutes total checking it out, the UX sure doesn’t make it any easier. I do not recommend this app, especially at this price..Version: 3.5.1
