✓ Worth a readZombie Exodus at first is interesting and it instantly hooked me. The overall writing is right on the mark and fluent. I think I managed to find one grammatical error in total but, that's not a huge deal when considering the total word count. Right, let's access the two cons I have about it first to get them out of the way. They may just be me personally and even then are by no means a 'game breaker'. The romance, was not as in depth as I'd have liked it to be. For example, there was one part where there was a promise of intimate times later that night from the love interest I had chosen however, after a long day my character collapsed on the bed and fell asleep. That's fine and all but there isn't any indication that she and I ever discuss this absence of smut. It was sorta just glossed over, along with really all intimate times actually. But hay that's just me, I'm a sucker for romance. That said, the romantic interests and plot line are still very well executed (I'll elaborate later) and immersive. My only other gripe with Zombie Exodus is the ending. It's not that I didn't like it. It just felt lacking in closure and required more elaboration. Though I was still happy with it overall. Let's be real here; it's no where near as bad as the train-wreck that was Mass Effect 3's ending. This still wrapped things up and I somewhat knew where everyone was at in terms of their life. I still finished it satisfied. We'll move to the good stuff now. Combat first. There are other interactive novels in which the combat is not satisfying. They provide the options and you more or less fail or succeed. However, I personally have never felt this level of satisfaction when winning a fight. (And I've read the entire series of Heroes Rise.) There is just something about the way the gore and actions are written that is brilliant. Furthermore, there is a large variety of weapons to choose from and you can tailor how you enter combat (if you want to at all) based on your character's strengths and weaknesses. The decisions and role-play are good. There are no blatant paragon/renegade options and they all feel like realistic dialogue choices though, still with consequence as to which path you take. There is a point when you set up a HQ of sorts. From that sequence onwards I was pleasantly surprised by the level of resource management and urgency. It was starting to feel like I was playing a video game rather than reading an interactive novel. I mean that in a good way of course. The immersion as a whole was well done and I was constantly struggling to maintain the peace between characters while not losing any friends. The romance was well done and I won't mention who I did choose just because of spoilers, but it develops well. You treat your love interest well and they'll warm up to you. After entering in a relationship with them they'll start to do small things which show that they're not just your friend anymore. Eg call you babe or *Spoiler* give you their necklace. Even defer to your judgment of the coming exodus. All in all its a solid adventure and absolutely worth a read..Version: 4.0.1

This include other video games as well, as I’m a big fan of the Visual Novel genre. Danganronpa, DDLC, Fate, Steins;Gate, Juniper’s Knot, etc. They’re all fantastic games. I was worried about how well this story would keep me interested though, as there are few visual accompaniments to go with the reading, but it turned out to be one of the best pieces of video game storytelling that I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading. ✓ Thoroughly engaging storyI really enjoyed this game/story. The extra few bucks I spent to get access to the entire story were well spent. I was surprised at the length of the story. If you're a fan of choose your adventure stories, you should love this one. It's great that we can now have much more evolved interactive stories that let you make more nuanced decisions. I had two issues with the game. First, it's riddled with typos. It's obvious they could use a proofreader to clean up that aspect. Second, there is a spiritual/"ghost" aspect of the game that doesn't need to be there. The explanation for the zombie virus makes sense, and the entire story is based in realism except for that one ghost aspect. It wasn't really necessary to the plot, and I think it detracts from the reality basis of the story. Overall, an enjoyable story that kept me captivated until the end. ✓ Stellar WritingIt isn't often that any text can manage to reel me in as well as Zombie Exodus has. With the text being so vivid, every image is painted clearly in your mind, and every scene is easy to bring to life inside of your head. The game harkens back to the time of reading books, but with a much greater level of interaction, not originally available through mere text. The characters are each given characteristics, and are not merely just filler characters. Though I have not yet completely finished the game, what has been presented so far (I am currently on Chapter IV) has been well paced. The multitude of choice does not offer an illusion of freedom, but offers many varying scenarios and outcomes of even the smallest actions. Another neat little feature is the special inventory screen. It keeps track of your current relationship statuses with other survivors and also shows your current inventory. Rarely does a text-based game ever do that. The concept of the Zombie Exodus is also interesting, but I will not go into detail on that, and I will allow you all to check it out for yourselves. A big round of applause to the creators of this game for not charging you off the bat to play. They give you a choice in whether or not you'd like to invest further, only if you believe it is worth it. Believe me: it's worth every penny..Version: 3.1.1

✓ Honest reviewI hate reading (really hate it) but I've had 3 phones over the last 3 years and Ives downloaded this app on all of them, I've played the story countless times and I always spot something I've never seen before in the story. This app is the only thing I can think of that's entertaining and engaging. This is the only thing I'll read over and over. I've had other apps and such but they didn't last a week I've had Zombie Exodus on my phone for years and just about every day before bed I'll play through more of it and if I finish the storyline, I'll restart and go for another ending or try different options. ✓ Great story so far, but...This is a great story. Trouble is, I got charged twice. I at first turned down continuing to part 3. Then I was like, never mind, I wanna see what happens. I go, pay the $2, and get sent to the very START of the story. Which I thought whatever, I can choose to go to part 3 as I remembered from when I first started. What's cool about this app/book is that You can use your name, use different occupations to determined your stats and abilities. And tackle on this powerful novel. I've downloaded this app like 2-3 days ago and I've read all the chapters til Five and I'm just blown away from the story. The intensity of the story and your choices increases ten-fold. My heart has raced many times in just the few hours I've been playing. The story is very well written with plenty of choices and likeable characters. The first two parts are available for free with each new part costing a simple $1. It costs £1.50 to unlock each part after the second, and although this is an amazing game, I think £3+ is a bit too much.
