✓ Good but…Genuinely fantastic, my first ever go at reading an interactive novel. Holds a special place in my heart HOWEVER that’s not to say there is SOME issues, the stat screen is very dated but that’s not a worry. I will say however, since my last play through, hosted games have added forced ads. You get around 8 pages or less reading and you’re forced to either pay £5 once or wait 20 minutes. Every few pages. Frankly, it’s incredibly off putting and it’s genuinely ruined the experience of the game for me. I have all the parts purchased yet now being forced to pay. I didn’t even know how many chapters there are and have not read further. Very disappointed. Plus ads on the bottom. If you don’t want ads another $1.99. ✓ You can get better stuff for freeI've tried a couple of different Hosted Games LLC apps, and I thought that the writing was better on this one. I also thought it was free (just with ads), but after a couple of chapters was asked to pay to continue. They need to make the free content much longer and better if they want to convince me it's worth paying for. I think it's pretty average for text based zombie adventure, when there's other things available for free. ✓ Great concept, average execution.The first thing you will notice is the adverts, they detract from the storyline and fun so terribly. This seems intentional to force you to upgrade to remove the ads, they are all strobing and moving and epilepsy inducing, ruining immersion. The 'game' itself is quite fun, it could go far but the creators seem busy reusing the same concept and engine to every other genre they can think of to maximize sales instead of developing a part 2 or making the game more versatile, perhaps with survival elements such as fortifying and living within a safe house, with those king dealing with peasant petition style choices that older games used to have testing your leadership skills by asking you to choose wisely about things. Overall I'd rate the game 4-5 stars but the ads detract from it as does the fact there will never be a part two enough for me to want to give it 1 star so people don't get their hopes up; so I figure to be fair I'll go mid way. ✓ Good replay value but gender doesn't matter.One of the nice things about this game is that you can sort of build your character by choosing their proficiencies and background. I have noticed, however, that if you play as a woman you're still treated as a man. It's pretty lazy and sexist to be honest. ✓ Good but priceyFirst time I've played a game like this and I found the concept quite awesome. Story is good and well written. The only thing is you got to keep paying $1.99 for additional chapters. After 3 or 4 times paying for it, it just gets too much since I feel like the chapters are short in between. Otherwise, this would have been wonderful. ✓ Great game, horrible endingIncredibly engaging game. Great characters, great story and intrigue. Keeps you constantly glued to what’s happening. Good personal expression. Felt like my choices really effected things and mattered. Loved having personal attributes but felt they didn’t really have a very big impact. However, abrupt horrible ending.
