✓ I'm not happy with this version.I used to play the Silver Creek games on my PC before I switched to a Mac. I loved them and was pleased to see them available. However, I don't like the continual News Feed at the bottom or the connection to Game Center. It's fine when I play with someone else, but as a single player game I really don't care about adding my score and would love to be able to turn those features off. ✓ Stop trying to connect to the internet!The cards and interface are gorgeous. The reason I give it 3 stars is because it is constantly trying to connect to the internet. It's getting really annoying having to close the pop-up that lets me know it can't connect. There should be an option to disable this, but there isn't. ✓ Love the game, but what's with all the in app purchases?I had the pc version and was anxiously waiting for the iPad one, but to my surprise, these guys seem very greedy charging for EVERYTHING! I mean, I understand they want to be rewarded for their jobs, but it is the same as the pc versions, it wasn't as if they designed everything from scratch, they even have a few bugs with the menus and is quite slow. So I don't think it is even worth all the extra money. They just include like 6 games, the pc version had dozens for one price, as well as deck faces, avatars, music, backgrounds, etc, you could even customize all to your preferences. ✓ Fixed what wasn’t brokeI have played and enjoyed this game for years. The look and feel of it, the sounds, and the gameplay made it a go to game for me. But a new version was just pushed to my phone, and I hate it. The new game play is slower and clumsier, and it seems like it’s now impossible to win unless you buy tokens to cheat when you get stuck. I don’t play that way, and I resent that it’s being foisted upon me. I paid for the app years ago, and I get that the developer needs to make money, but forcing me to change the way I play so that I have to buy tokens is not going to make them any money from me. I didn’t ask for this upgrade, and I don’t like that they are basically saying that I either have to adapt to their pay model or I can’t use the game I paid for. As windows changed and became more complex due to constant marketing, I switched her to the iPad and bought it again. Unfortunately what I didn't realize at the time was game makers "new way"of doing business with the implementation of a never ending monthly "membership renewal" fee and selling "tokens" to get extras (which should be included with the "membership" fee). There's more than enough great games/apps out there that you don't need to empty your pockets every month over this one... ✓ Painfully sluggishUnfortunately I purchased this app based on comments from coverage at MacWorld without waiting for ratings. My mistake as it is very sluggish which makes it painful to play (iPad 1 and iPhone 4). This is unfortunate as it does look pretty nice and does give a decent selection of games. Also the iPhone version looks like a miniature version of the iPad including tiny buttons - no redesign, just shrunk down. Ultimately it looks like it might be a port of another version but has no tuning for the iOS devices nor consideration of iPhone vs. iPad screen size. There is really no excuse for this as it definitely should not need any high performance capabilities. Would recommend staying clear of this..Jdh2001Version: 2.0.137.0
