Good app. Could be more. This app notifies you in a timely manner to accept a job before they disappear. It's pretty instantaneous. Problem is sometimes notifications do not actually appear. I have went into the app on many occasions to see a job sitting there waiting for me to accept it. Also I wish I could have the tone could be more obnoxious. Often times many jobs come through in the middle of the night and I miss them! I am a heavy sleeper so if I could have the tone repeat so many times, that would be appreciated! Also...notifications do not appear on the Apple Watch. This is strange actually because many apps, even if they have no actual Apple Watch app, will still send a notification to the app...but not jobulator! I also wish that jobulator offered an Apple Watch app. I could see it to be a very simple and useful app. A thumbs up or down to accept or deny a job. Just some thought..Version: 5.1.0

No responsibility or integrity with Customer serviceI was charged the day after I started the so called free trial which caused an overdraft fee with my bank. Customer service admitted to the error being on their part but would not help fix the problem that occurred because of their faulty software. They told me I have to go to my bank when my bank wasn’t the one who made a mistake. Try before you buy is not the truth here even though the terms and condition say otherwise. Make sure your account has the money before you commit. Their faulty system can cost you..Version: 5.2.1

Sub.I've use this app for about two years now and I've had some success with it. There have been a few glitches along the way that I would like to point out. 1. Way too many times I get a phone call from AESOP before I get notification from Jobulator. Hmm, isn't Jobulator supposed to notify you before AESOP does? Isn't that why we are paying a fee for Jobulator? 2. Needs more filters: full vs. part time job, high school vs. elementary, etc. 3. Be consistent. My sister substitutes at the same schools I do and very often she gets a job you don't notification where as I do not. I will log of Aesop and the job is waiting. 4. See the name of the teacher I'm subbing for in the Jobulator calendar not the Aesop calendar. Internet is slow in my neck of the woods and for me to stand for the secretary's desk and try to get into the Aesop calendar to prove that Aesop assigned me a full day versus the teacher saying was a half-day took way too long of the secretaries time. It was a difference of wages for me which was important to get it cleared up. I'm paying you a fee for this service; I should be getting top-notch service..Version: 5.1.0

Fast, handy & room for improvementThis app is faster than other apps, usually. That’s a very big plus! Another plus is that the calendar appears just like in AESOP/Frontline. When teachers ask if I’m busy or not I can reference that easily and let them know right away. Great feature! In another app, you can see the list of jobs you have taken (where, when, whom), get directions(linked to google maps), email the teacher you are subbing for so I miss that here. Also I WISH THERE WAS A SEARCH FEATURE or a FILTERING OPTION on this app. It would be great to search for the schools you like or for certain dates, etc. Also, if the search feature worked in your scheduled jobs that would be fantastic. BEAT THE COMPETITION: The other app I have does not have a search feature either, so you could get ahead of them that way. I’m rooting for you!.Version: 5.2.1

Not as good as other appsI have been testing this app with another one simultaneously to compare timing and amount of notifications. This app lags on announcing available jobs by 30 sec to one minute compared to other app which is completely enough time to miss it. It also has not notified every time there is a job as compared to my other app. Only twice has this app notified me first. I’ve only booked one job with this app as compared to 8 jobs from the other app in the same amount of time- again I have been testing both simultaneously. I’m giving it two stars because I like the Calendar feature and overall aesthetic but not functionality. Will be deleting..Version: 5.2.1

MehWhen my trial of SubAssist expired I decided to go with Jobulator because it was 1. Cheaper, 2. Was recommended. At first it ran fine, now I get alerts and by the time the app opens they're taken! It's really annoying. I'd prefer seeing what the job is (the way SubAssist does it--I'm not paying $8/mo though for SA). Maybe I will return to SA after I'm done student teaching and able to sub again in April...hopefully the app will improve by then? Pros: Affordable, alerts you at all hours, rarely crashes Cons: sometimes slow to update, the alerts don't tell you what job is available just that a job is available.Version: 5.1.0

Does not replace the webpageThis mobile app's main use is being able to look at available jobs on the go. It does not do a better job than the webpage. For one, the calendar is useless because you can't see what assignments you have. Second you cannot leave feedback. Third, there are no filters for searches. I want to be able to look at AM assignments only some days or maybe I only want to work high schools. This app does not give you the option to sort in any way..Version: 5.1.0

GlitchyPaying $50 a year for this app, you would think it would be easier to use. Scrolling is always glitchy. Can’t scroll through available jobs. If you see a job a take it, it marks your calendar as working. However, you cannot see what job you’ve taken by touching date, you have to go into another app to see where you’re working on a particular date. Won’t allow me to access Frontline through the Jobulator app. This app needs a lot of updating and uses other then simply taking a job..Version: 5.2.1

No starsDoesn't deserve any credit nor stars what so ever. You're better off with sub-assist!!.Version: 3.06

Not worth the moneyI downloaded the app hearing great things about it and had no success, never received any notifies of available jobs. I was contacted directly from the school about filling in for the day and was told there had been jobs posted I should've worked. I canceled my account within the 14 day trial period but was still charged. Because this app did not work and did not notify me I lost my consecutive work days which drastically changed my pay rate. I contacted customer service, they only have email available, to refund me the $5.99 since I canceled within that trial period. The customer service rep says per the terms no refunds even though per the terms I canceled in the allowed time frame. Not worth the money you're better off logging to Aesop directly or contacting the school..Version: 5.1.0

Could be betterThe app was useful enough when I was needing to accept work daily. It was Nice being able to accept work from an app instead of calling my school district. The times weren't always accurate on the listing and a couple times the titles weren't right either but I don't think that was the apps fault. I did get notifications a lot about jobs and I'd open the app right away and there would be nothing so that was frustrating. I think the most frustrating thing was though was when I no longer needed the app I was looking for how to cancel my subscription. I noticed the button said "log out and deactivate your account". Now I took this as deactivating your subscription but apparently not because the next month it took payment still. Turns out you have to go online and cancel from there. If you can do everything else from the app you should be able to cancel from there too..Version: 5.1.0

No Apple Watch AppIt works fine on your phone. You do have to be really fast to get most jobs though. It works best if you leave the app open on your phone all the time. It makes getting to the place where you accept the jobs quicker. Cons for this app are that you cannot cancel jobs once accepted, you cannot look at the calendar and see what jobs you have only what days are filled, and a big let down for me is that there is no app for the Apple Watch. 🤔.Version: 5.2.1

Waste of Time & MoneyIf I could give this app zero stars I would. I took a chance on this app after reading bad reviews because my SubTeach rep said lots of people in my area used the app. Not only did I never get an actual job from the app - I never even got notified that jobs were available. To get the free trial you had to set up payment info - but since the app didn't work at all I canceled my account t days and days ago (or so I thought). They don't provide a clear way to cancel your account but they do provide a "logout & deactivate" option. I did that. They drafted their fee from me anyway and when I contested it they said that deactivating wasn't the same as canceling and per their terms they would not refund my money but as a "curtesy" they would cancel my account. Not worth time or money. Is basically a scam..Version: 5.1.0

Predatory "Customer Service".I was happy until they offered monthly subscriptions and I switched because of tight budget. I NEVER selected the option of "recurring" payments. Each month, when my subscription EXPIRED, I made MANUAL payments to reactivate for the next month. Then they started charging me automatically!!! This gave me a false sense of the balance in my checking account and caused me to incur overdraft fees. I realized they were doing this in August, 2016. Then I noticed they charged me for June and July as well!!! Why would I reactivate the subscription when I don't work in June, July or August???? When asked for a refund/credit they said that I "cancelled and resubscribed" each month. WHAT????? Now they've changed their policy but that was NOT so in June 2016!! They are dishonest and deliberately do not have a phone contact to avoid issues like this being addressed. DISHONEST JOBULATOR!.Version: 5.1.0

It’s okayOverall it is a good app. You get notifications whenever a job is available, you see all the information you need before you accept it - but afterwards you only see on the calendar that you have a job for a specific day. I would like to still be able to see the job details as opposed to going to the website. There have only been a few times that I have clicked on a notification to see that a job as already been taken. But I am still getting more jobs than before because I am no longer tied to the computer..Version: 5.2.1

App not working - Very frustrated!!I updated the app when it told me I needed to. That was on 9/28. I have not gotten a job notification since that date. I usually get at least 1 notification a day (even on the weekends). Sometimes I would get 3-4 notifications in a day. I wrote to tech support and got back the answer that I needed to update the app in order for it to work. I did that and that's when it stopped working. I've used this app for almost two years with no problems, but I just don't understand what is happening now..Version: 5.2.1

So many problems for substitutes“It is not designed to be a competitive edge” is right in the description. It “may not” have been designed for that, but please know that it can be one. It can also be a nightmare when trying to accept jobs. I have gotten a message that a job is no longer available and have been able to accept the job because I refused to concede that it was no longer available and kept clicking. A common numbers of tries is around seven, but I wanted to find out just how many times I would have to click one Saturday morning when I knew I was the only math substitute who should be seeing the job. Exactly 600 clicks later, it allowed me to accept the job. Convenient? Not really. Now it has stopped syncing with my Apple Watch. That was a nice feature because, when it worked, I would get a silent notification. If I have my iPhone on silent mode now, the notification is just like all of the other notifications I get; so it is easy to miss them. I now keep my phone in normal mode, which means it might ring while I am in school. The app has helped me get jobs I probably wouldn’t have gotten, so I will put up with the major inconveniences..Version: 5.2.1

AwfulWould give it a 0 star if it was an option. I went 2 years finding sub jobs on Aesop and found jobs everyday. Another sub told me to try jobulator, so I did. Thinking that jobulator was goinf to send me alerts when a job was available, I stopped checking the Aesop site here and there for jobs. I noticed I was not getting any job notifications, which was odd because I know sub jobs are often available. However, when I get notifications the job is no longer available. I was under the assumption that every time a teacher requested a sub request then jobulator would let me know, WRONG! I decided to test it next to the Aesop site. Well long and behold, I saw jobs on Aesop sitting around waiting to be picked up and yet Jobulator is not sending me an alert. I also noticed that when I did get a jobulator alert, it was after I watched the job sit for an average of 25 minutes. Now that explained why 99.9% of the time the job was already taken when jobulator sent the alert. So save your money and don’t bother. I find that refreshing Aesop here and there gets me jobs. Jobulator sends you alerts after a job has already been taken or when it has been sitting there forever. Which means you can just check Aesop here and there and still get more jobs than paying Jobulator for nothing..Version: 5.2.1

Prepare to be ripped offIt’s a fairly efficient app and easy to use. However, unlike almost every other subscription service that became unnecessary due to COVID-19, the folks at Jobulator didn’t automatically suspend billing when every school in the country was closed. And apparently they have a “strict no refund policy,” which means you’re out the money. You’re paying for a service that they then do not actually provide. So watch out because they WILL gouge you if they can. And when I contacted support, I wasn’t sure what they meant by their answer and when I asked for clarification they stopped answering. I’ll give them one more day and then I’m going to have to challenge the charges through my bank. So bottom line, the app works okay, but the terrible customer service/treatment makes me unable to recommend this app..Version: 5.2.1

Switching to another serviceI have been a customer for 5 years and I am leaving. I’m hoping to get a refund for the rest of the year but I’m not holding my breath. The service has been fine except for the past couple of months but then I was unable to open my notifications. I have written repeatedly getting only one response to the first one: log off, remove app, turn off phone, turn on, download app and sign on. I have done this numerous times without a positive result. I have written several times and the only response I’ve gotten is “this has been added to the conversation”... which has been one-sided. Needless to say, customer service is nil..Version: 5.2.1

This app is a scam!!This app is a total scam! I paid for the year because I thought I would save money in the long run. I have used the app for less than a month and have accepted a full-time job. Obviously I no longer need this app. I asked for a refund and to only pay for the month that I have used and they simply said no. I know it is my responsibility for paying for the year in the first place, however you would think they would allow for someone to except a full-time job! The app does not even have all of the same functions as the website. For a paying app I would expect much more, you cannot even see details on the calendar for the job do you have selected! I am extremely dissatisfied and feel taken advantage of. They are able to get away with this because they have a monopoly on the market and it is highly unfortunate. They clearly do not care about their customers and only care about the money..Version: 5.1.0

Getting too slow needs updateI used this app last year and loved it, got so many jobs through it. When I got a notification I could always click in and see the job. Now this school year it is slow, more times than not I have my phone in hand and click on the notification right away to find no job. Sometimes I click on it randomly to find a job sitting there and the notification doesn't come for another 10-20 seconds so I assume this is why. It needs to be faster, I can accept jobs through aesop but I am paying for the notification part of it!.Version: 5.1.0

Not worth $4/monthThis app needs so many improvements it's not worth the $4 monthly fee. Aesthetically it is really lacking, it should look much more professional that it does. The main thing I hate about it is that there is no place to look at current jobs. I accepted a job, showed up at the school, and didn't know who I was subbing for! I thought I'd be able to pull it up on the app. Huge huge flaw. Also, you should be able to cancel jobs from the app instead of having to go to the computer to do it. Having an app is supposed to eliminate needing to use the computer. I think it's really just easier to look on the computer and/or wait for the phone call. I get plenty of jobs that way so I'm canceling my app. Not worth it. It doesn't make it easier, it's made it more complicated..Version: 5.1.0

Useful but BasicThis app is functional for notifications and job listings, but for a paid app, it really needs more options. It lacks any filters for job types: full day, part day, am/pm, para educator, special ed, elementary, middle school, high school, location... Even if these were at an additional charge, it would be worth it to prioritize the posts and set notifications for specific job types. Also, I struggle to find which post is "new" when there are a dozen old ones there that I don't want. A banner or something on the new posts would be nice. Since I'm new to the app, I'm hoping it's a work in progress and there are more functions to come..Version: 5.1.0

The worst customer service and business ethicsI quit subbing in February. I realized in July that an automatic payment for jobulator app was taken off of my paypal account every month. After lots of trouble I was able to contact them. I found out that jobulator doesn't even have a phone customer support. So on the day of transaction I emailed jobulator customer service asking to help me log into my account and also to issue me a refund for that month explaining my situation. It took them three days to respond to me explaining to me how to log into my account but they completely ignored my question on the refund. I emailed request for refund again. This time they emailed me to tell me that according to their policy they don't issue refund. What respectable company concerned about its reputation would do something like that? I will sub again but I'm definitely not using this app again. Goodbye jobulator!!! Hope my $6.99 a month made you rich because soon another app will get my money ... not you..Version: 5.1.0

Just okI feel like I get enough jobs from this app that it covers the cost of, but it really has problems. Often, as soon as you hear that alert and get to the app, the job is gone. Recently I started having a problem that when I add a job I’ve just accepted from the app to my calendar it puts the start and end time an hour earlier than they actually are. There is no help on the app itself, and I’ve been trying to access the help page for days but it never loads, trying to see why I made guy be having this problem all of a sudden. Not being able to see your jobs, only that blue box that tells you something is scheduled, is pretty silly. I’m just glad almost all my jobs come from teachers directly asking me. Not sure if I’m going to renew.....Version: 5.2.1

Wish I would have never updatedSeems like ever since I updated I can’t seem to get to the job I’m being notified about fast enough. Even if it’s within a millisecond oh getting the notification. So either it’s notifying me when there isn’t actually a job available or it’s notifying me too late. It worked so much better before it’s last update and I'm not sure that y’all really changed anything. Maybe it’s because my free trial is up and now that I’m actually paying for the service it doesn’t want to work right anymore. It’s just very frustrating..Version: 5.2.1

Works pretty wellThis is the only method available to me to get job notifications, unless I’m willing to sit at my computer with AESOP up and running. I set it up for audible notifications, so I can be alerted to jobs immediately but often keep my phone on silent when in meetings, classrooms, etc. However, when my device is set to silent, when I open the app to respond to the visual notification on my screen, if there is a job available there is a noisy chime. If my device is set to silent, you can guess I’m in a place or situation where I don’t want my phone making a racket! Please change the programming so the app does not make an audible alert when opened if the phone is set to silent..Version: 5.2.1

Very flawed. other apps are better for lessAs I was new to substitute teaching, I saw the ad for this app and decided to try it out to get more jobs. The first problem was that the app only allowed for one district, and I was employed at 3. I could not see any of my other districts for jobs. The other problem was that a job would come up and I would click on “accept” and it would tell me that the job was no longer available. It was difficult to use and I found that “SubstituteAlert” app was much better and gave me all I needed in an easy to use platform so I stopped my free trial..Version: 5.2.1

Faster than sub finder but will not stick with itThis app is faster than others (probably because it's an official Aesop app) but it lacks much detail. When the job notification banner comes up I hate how I don't know anything about the job. I have to tap on "open" and even then I have to tap again on the main screen because there isn't enough info about the job. It really bothers me that I don't know what hours the opening is for as well as school, teacher, date or time. Sub assistant offers this (I just wish it was faster). It's kind of counterintuitive to what the app is for, to save time. I still have to go through all the options in order to get enough info on the job. I can't just find find out by banner if I want to even bother with the assignment. If they fixed this I would choose this over the other apps, but it seems that I will be cancelling the trial soon....Version: 5.1.0

Great Until It Isn’tI use jobulator quite a bit to get sub jobs and appreciate many of its helpful features. However, I have had a recurring problem of receiving a Job Not Available notice for jobs that I know ARE available. I sent an email to customer service describing the problem, including my attempted fixes of removing the app and reinstalling it. Customer service advice? Remove the app and reinstall it. Thanks, jobulator! At least they responded; in the past, it was difficult to get a response. I have had to get district office to contact them. Like I said, it’s a great app until it malfunctions, then good luck getting help..Version: 5.2.1

DissatisfiedI have had this app for only 4 months. I will have my iphone In my hand with the app opened and sometimes closed when I receive a job alert. I QUICKLY respond. Before you know it, the job is gone. This has happens numerous times. Again, my phone is in my hand and it will reflect on my message I got a job alert but no sound alert was recd. I have emailed customer service/help center via email. Sometimes they respond and sometimes they don't. If they do it's days later. The only good thing is it's better than AESOP which are left over jobs......Version: 5.1.0

Helps a littleThis app only helps a little. Like the other reviewer, I find it very hard to believe that we are all getting notifications about available jobs at the same time. I have a watch, plus my phone that notifies me “as soon as a job becomes available “ when I click on the app, that job is gone. How can that be, I’m talking about 3 seconds max! This happens multiple times a day... or night even early morning ( 2 am) again , how can this be. It feels like this app sends out fake jobs to justify me paying 5.99 per month..Version: 5.2.1
