✓ Not as relaxing as othersI originally downloaded a meditation app by Glenn Harrold on an older iPad called "Meditation for Inner Wisdom" that I liked a lot and I was hoping to download it on my iPhone but I could not find it in the App Store or even in my previous purchases on my phone. I tried this one instead and was disappointed. The music in this is not relaxing at all and he should put the intro on a separate track so you don't have to hear it over and over again, especially annoying on loop. Also there is a point where you are supposed to be engulfed in some kind of cleansing fire, but to me that sounds horrific! Who wants to be engulfed in fire? That made me stressed instead of relaxed. Also those in the U.S. have to get used to his accent-- ie: "naytcha" is nature, etc... I'm not sure if his accent is Australian or from the UK but he should focus a bit on correct pronunciation. ✓ EeermI'm sorry, I really wanted to give this a good review, but I'm unable to. I have been looking for a good meditation technique - and judging by the packaging and other reviews, it seemed worth giving a try. I'm not quite sure who this is aimed at and, without wanting to stereotype or offend anyone, it does kind if feel like it was made for ever so slightly neurotic, busy, middle-class working girls, who have their organic frappaccinos on the move. I do quite a bit of landscaping and building work and, somehow, this just went way over my head. Perhaps I'm missing something, but when I was asked to take a walk through a 'magical' forest and become aware of the presence of angels (angels?!!) guiding and protecting me, including the spirits of animals supporting me - well, that was it. Unfortunately I don't believe in either and it all became gradually too airy-fairy for me. I'm sorry gents, but I need something more grounded and less tinkly. Also, I may be wrong, but aren't the two guided meditations entitled 'awake' and 'asleep' identical in text and music? I think I just need to sit down, close my eyes and do it the good old fashioned way - concentration and a bit of effort without the aid of recordings.
