✓ Could be great!I like everything about this app (when it is working!) I would say about 75% of the time I go to use this app it either doesn’t remember my login or it just freezes up and I have to start all over again. It has became so frustrating that I am actually writing this review. This is the first review I have ever written about anything. It’s a real shame because if the app worked smoothly it would be extremely helpful. Maybe it’s just my phone, I don’t know. The way it is now it is almost unusable! Update: this app has gotten worse! I can’t ever get any questions loaded and if I do which isn’t often, The app will freeze. Do yourself a favor and don’t purchase..Version: 6.5.7
✓ Great content, buggy appI have no issue with the content, it’s the best you can find for the price point. However, the app (for all pocket prep tests) and the corresponding web app needs to be debugged to fix the following issues: 1, the button to select the number of questions in an exam doesn’t work 9 times out of 10. It won’t pull across as it’s designed to do, you have to repeatedly tap it to try to get it to move, which only sometimes works, so you’re often stuck doing 5 question exams. 2, the web app (for every test, I have 4) will often glitch out when you’re selecting the content you want to be tested on. If you click unselect all it freezes the page and you have to refresh the whole page and try again. Thanks for the great app in general! It’s very helpful..Version: 6.7.3
✓ Pocket Prep for TEAS 6I used to really enjoy this app. I feel like it was helpful and I enjoyed doing it. Here recently the app hasn’t been working properly. It will randomly kick me out in the middle of an exam which is very annoying because then you have to start over. When the app actually does work it goes ridiculously slow. I shouldn’t have to delete and reinstall this app every day. That’s absurd. The app isn’t cheap so it’s annoying that it doesn’t work properly. You would think they would make it to where you could delete past exams to free up memory on the app if that’s what’s causing it to not work. The app would be great if it actually worked. I personally wouldn’t buy this again..Version: 6.5.6
✓ The login system?I can’t get past the log in system. It asks for email and to create a password. Then when you proceed it says not a valid email. I am not logging in with social media- nor am I interested in doing so. Other reviews on here complain of the same kind of issues and the company responds saying the log in works fine but is often misunderstood. Not sure what I’m misunderstanding- but I would suggest making it work - and making it easy to understand. Have not been able to use the app..Version: 6.7.1
✓ Great app when it works.This is a good app, when it actually works. It worked fine for me prior to me paying the $15 and downloading the complete version. Now I am getting constant glitches, failure to load all questions, the app freezes up after every practice test I complete. Its a good study tool, but would be a WAY better study tool if you didn’t have to spend just as much time rebooting the app multiple times just to get it to possibly work..Version: 6.5.7
✓ Helpful tool if you can deal with the app constantly crashingIn theory this app really is a useful tool in helping to study. However, it constantly crashes and freezes. I can’t even count how many times it has crashed in the middle of a quiz, or frozen when trying to start an exam. For the cost of this I would expect a better functioning app. If you have the patience for an app that works maybe 60% of the time then it really is a very helpful study tool. ✓ It can be helpful, but needs workI never make reviews, but decided to for this app. It’s good but can be very frustrating at times. I paid for the full access version and have enjoyed using it to study. It’s convenient to have on your phone, when it actually works. It crashes ALL the time or takes forever to load or just doesn’t load at all when you try to press “make custom exam” or “question of the day” I have to force close out of it multiple times and then end up getting so frustrated I just don’t go back on to use it. It also logs you out randomly a lot. The app is okay, but definitely get study material from other resources and just use this one for occasional practice questions..Version: 6.7.6
✓ The essential information is missing!I took the ATI TEAS exam on March 7th, 2024. I practiced all 2000 questions in the app, but I must warn you that the practice questions in the app are not at all similar to the real exam questions. I was able to pass the exam only because I used the Mometrix book along with PocketPrep. The app's coverage of Anatomy and Physiology doesn't even come close to what's required. Furthermore, I didn't encounter a single question about data representation in PocketPrep, but I faced questions about bar graphs and histograms on the actual exam! So, my advice is not to rely on the app and use additional study materials (NurseHub, Teas Mastery, ATI TEAS official prep resources, etc) to be better prepared for the exam..Version: 13.12.0
✓ Update resulted in more problems than fixesEarlier in the summer, I bought the app on recommendations from many online. I was starting to review for the TEAS after deciding to change careers. I had completed the standard prereqs 10 years ago, and my knowledge base required significant refreshing. Initially, I thought it was great. However, when the app updated (from “red” to “blue” version), usability plummeted. I have been plagued with constant crashes, especially when trying to use the custom exam feature. This did not happen before the update. I feel content is good for everything but A&P. I would suggest significant additional studying in that domain, especially in endocrine pathways. I will update this review after taking the TEAS in two weeks. I also plan to write an article describing my study plan & materials..Version: 6.5.7
✓ Great study tool but bugsIt worked great for studying and I like the practice tests but the app has been unusable for over a week now. Nothing loads or it crashes in use and I lose my work. It it loads way too slow that it doesn’t register when I input responses to questions. Test is a few days away and would love to use this to study more but I can’t which is disappointing since I spent the $15 to upgrade and I can’t use it at all..Version: 6.4
✓ Awesome app but a lot of technical difficultiesThis app is super helpful but only when it decides to work. It freezes up constantly and I’ve tried it on different devices and on different WiFi’s. I love the test and question of the days but it consistently crashes on me. I spent 40 minutes taking a reading practice exam and as soon as I hit submit it crashed closed down and when I reopened it, it was like I never took the test, so I have no idea how I did. ✓ GlitchingI just downloaded this app a couple days ago and it’s lovely! I enjoyed every second I got to use it. I would most definitely give this 5 stars if there wasn’t so many glitches and confusion. It seems to be glitching a lot when I’m answering questions and not letting me log into my account. It only gives me the option to be a guest or create an account... I hope this can help in anyway possible. I really would like to get back to studying with my app on my profile to see my progress. ✓ AnnoyingOkay, so this apps material and studying techniques are great, however, there are some major glitches that make it very frustrating to work with. 1) it always signs me out and won’t let me log back in. (I have logged it with Facebook since the start) 2) when I finally get it to open and try to start a practice test it will just not show any options for the content choices. 3) it will just black out Honestly such a bummer because it could be super great..Version: 6.5.2
✓ Endless freeze ups & crashesI really like the format with the 10 question practice tests. However, after purchasing the full version, the app freezes EVERY time I launch it, and crashes 50% of the time. I did not have these issues with the free version. And yes, I’ve read other reviews and dev team’s responses; none of the proposed solutions worked for me. I’ll be happy to revise the rating once these issues are fixed..Version: 6.7
✓ NREMT - NOT RealisticI took 13 practice exams and attempted every single question in the NREMT practice portion. Based on Pocket Prep I should have breezed through the real exam. That was NOT THE CASE! I took the National test this morning and I can truly say that 95% of what I experienced on the actual exam was not even mentioned in Pocket Prep. Pocket Prep is MUCH easier. I was shocked while taking the exam. On the actual NREMT, there were terms I’ve NEVER heard of, and the multiple choice options are MUCH more difficult to choose from. I was supremely disappointed in my lack of preparedness despite how many hours I spend practicing with Pocket Prep. I’d recommend another solution..Version: 6.7.6
✓ Upgraded to Premium and went bad from there.I heard from lots of people this was a good App to review stuff for the Teas test and after I purchased the app and upgraded to premium to practice all the questions it doesn’t work good. The app itself is slow and force exits out of the app at random. I have to wait for an extremely long time for the practice quizzes to load that I get frustrated and quit. I just hope that the questions I actually do practice are similar to the test so it’ll be worth the purchase..Version: 6.7
✓ Always frozenThis app is always frozen. Each time I try to set up a practice exam, nothing shows up. Also, when I use their desktop option, my progress is lost because at the end, it fails to submit/grade my test. Please, spend your money on another app. This isn’t worth your money. I really wish I could attach images, so that everyone could see what I mean. I have screenshots of this app completely frozen, and useless. ✓ Too many bugsThis app is great when it comes to the amount of questions you get (when purchasing the full version) and how easy accessible studying the material on the go is. However, when purchasing an app for this price, there shouldn’t be any glitches. This app freezes and glitches all the time and I can never use it smoothly. ✓ Not as in depth as the TEAS requiresI have recently taken my TEAS exam April 9, 2018. I studied from both the ATI Teas Manual and pocket prep. But from reading the great reviews of the content on pocket prep I focused heavily on testing with pocket preps practice exams (I paid $15 for full access). Which in the end was not my greatest move. Although majority my fault in judgement, the practice exams do not go as deep as the TEAS requires most especially in the science portion (A&P). I took the exam and was completely baffled by some of the questions asked. So I would recommend focusing your studies mostly on the ATI TEAS manual or other sources that have been proven to work for other test takers. Not a horrible app for gaining knowledge but do not depend solely on pocket prep in your preparation process. Still got an 80% on the science portion though so it is helpful in some aspects but not to the fullest extent!.Version: 6.5.1
✓ Irrelevant MaterialI had used pocked prep before and It was very helpful to pass my NREMT. However, this wasn’t the case for the 6th version of the ATI teas. I studied all the question bank over 1,300 questions. I flagged the questions and improved drastically in my weaknesses. Science was my highest scoring section. I went on to take the TEAS, I passed with a 66%. I got a 55% on science which dropped my overall score drastically. This left confused since I dedicated the time studying. I found the science section to be much more in depth and different question style wording in comparison to the pocket prep. The only thing I have to recommend to the rest is, GO TO THE ATI website and spend the extra money on their practice test. ATI teas pocket prep DOESN’T HAVE THE APPROPRIATE STUDY MATERIAL..Version: 6.7.3
✓ Test result issuesThis app is great to have on the go and review questions. I gave it 2 stars because it’s a useful tool to have on the go and the Questions of the Day really inspire you to try more questions. However, I have taken 3 practice exams (100) questions each time and have NEVER received the results for any of the three exams. After contacting technical support, I still don’t have access to the exam results. Imagine the frustration of trying to practice for the real teas exam or expecting to know where your weak points are only to discover none of it counted. I would recommend using it only as a review tool and not rely on the practice exams. It’s disappointing that this app charges a decent amount only not to have access to the full benefits. ✓ Its good but has repeated questionsThe app is good but I think its unjust that we pay for 700 questions, when in reality we are given less than that. I say this because I have had more than a few repeated questions and each time I get asked the same question it removes it from the 700 as if they were completely different questions. ✓ Great but needs helpThe login system is horrible, doesn’t remember me and when I try to log-in it doesn’t recognize it, combating any human error I reset my password and even waited a day or so after, still unable to log on, even tried creating a new login (without going through any social media) and, no surprise my email is already taken... so I continue without a login, refresh/load my membership (I am a premium member). And it freezes and even crashes now and again but when it works it’s great so I didn’t mind it’s minor downfalls, but after weeks of progress gets erased and suddenly acts as if it’s your first time, again, (can’t get it back since I have wasn’t logged on) it’s down right frustrating. Please fix. Questions, flag system and even the testing diagnostics is fantastic! Just don’t push away people who genuinely want to use and l learn from this app..Version: 6.5.1
✓ Potential to be a good app. Too glitchyIn theory this app is convenient and covers lots of material. However, as you progress in the paid version, the app gets glitchy beyond function. Constant freezes, randomly getting logged out, and slow response times. I think as you stack up tests, the apps memory gets full? You also have no option to disable repeat questions when taking a custom exam on a mobile device. I was literally just taking a 100 question test and the app logged me out. ✓ Not worth itI spent $15 on the premium version and I’m disappointed. It keeps repeating questions I’ve already seen a dozen times. I end up remembering some of the answers, not because I understand the concept, but because I got it wrong before. Some of the explanations don’t actually explain; they just reiterate the question with the answer in it. It doesn’t even test you on the ones you got wrong to improve your weaknesses. It doesn’t cover a lot of material that can be found in prep books. I should’ve stuck with the free version because the premium is not worth it..Version: 6.7.3
✓ I took my TEAS exam yesterdayHi fellow pre med students! I bought the $25 package from Pocket Prep. I took my TEAS exam yesterday and got a 70.4%. It was good enough to pass & continue with my application process through my school. However, I studied the science portion the HARDEST through Pocket Prep. Science has always been my best subject and I’ve always had A’s in science courses. The problem with Pocket Prep’s science section is that it focused on anatomy and physiology 99%, and I did not get a SINGLE question on the TEAS exam concerning ANY of the body systems, bones, or any questions about glands/hormones. It was pretty much ALL chemistry questions on the TEAS exam! The Pocket Prep app had questions under “life and physical sciences” which is the chemistry portion. I didn’t learn get ANY questions on Pocket Prep similar to the questions on the TEAS. Maybe different versions of the TEAS have more anat & phys questions, but mind had none. The good part about this app is the math portion. I scored an 85% in math, which is my poorest subject. The app really helped with that. The reading and language & English portions were also very helpful and that some similar questions to the actual exam. I also recommend the Momentrix yellow book and buying the A & B assessments from ATI TEAS. Good luck everyone!!.Version: 6.7.6
