Music tutor great way to learn new notes and skillsPiano teacher recommended Music tutor really helped learn new notes and skills. Awesome.Version: 3.9.10

Music TutorI really like this app, I think it is helpful to learn to play instruments.Version: 3.9.10

Perfect Little AppThis app has been a lifesaver in learning how to read music. I replaced “games” when I have some idle time with a few quick sessions on here and it has made a big difference in my beginner level sight reading skills! I would highly recommend to anyone starting out learning to read music..Version: 3.17

Excellent note reading app!Music teachers should use this note reading app with all their students. The most important feature is that you can select a limited number of specific notes to drill and then add on. Initially i use 3 notes, then move to 5. Trumpet, clarinet, piano:C4-G4; Recorder, Saxophone:G4-D5; Trombone: bass clef: B2-F3(add flats later,) etc. I suggest parents and students add the app to their phones and tablets. Excellent music app for beginners and for note reading review!.Version: 3.9.10

Wonderful appThis is so good at helping me practice sight reading it was recommended to me and I certainly recommend it.Version: 3.17

Great!Helped me with my test. Highly recommended👍🎶.Version: 3.16.1

SuperSimple and very helpful! 10/10.Version: 3.9.10

BrilliantA fantastic app to practice and improve your sight-reading. Helpful for music students wanting to either learn notes for the first time or advanced students wanting to improve speed. The ability to choose different ranges is incredibly helpful. I also find having the notes played through headphones to be useful in tuning your ear..Version: 3.9.1

Best music note reading/ practicing appThis is the best I will don’t kinda not know how to read some notes by I forget lol so I downloaded this app and now I practice everyday and I get better and remember more so ppl who plays a instrument but need practice on note reading then DOWNLOAD THIS APP.Version: 3.17

No fuss, good little trainer.Worth the small one time upgrade to remove ads and pay the programmer. Sound plays and note is shown on staff and you say what it is either by pressing the right key or if you prefer, the right note including sharps and flats. You can set for unlimited or do little times games which I find too stressful. After one day I’m finding improvement in my recall of notes far below or above staff. I still want to rely less on FACE and ACEG but then again, I still sing the alphabet song to see if Q comes before V or that kind of thing. You can focus on bass, treble or alto clef or you can randomize so you are exposed to just bass and treble. I would love for the app to also allow you to set the entire test in B Flat Major for example and have to identify flats or sharps that aren’t marked up..Version: 3.17

This app does wonders for my students! It took me a long time to find an app for learning notes/flash cards and there are no apps that compare - This is a great app that is perfect for teaching students to read music notation quickly. I really like how easy it is to set it up for what level they are at. I have a few things that I would love to see happen because I think it would make the learning experience better, even though this app is completely functional already!! 1. I would love to see an option to make it a grand Staff where both treble and bass clef are shown the whole time when a note pops up. 2. I think making it so that it doesn’t change notes so quickly when they click on one. This would be so that they can see what note they pressed and if it was right or wrong. If it was wrong, they can compare it to the one they did hit and then maybe click continue when they are ready. (Right now they have no time to see what note was wrong until the end and I think it would be beneficial to learn better.) I really love this app and it would be incredible to see some of these things in effect so more students can learn music easily. Thanks for making a wonderful resource!.Version: 3.17

EXCELLENTIt has helped my music lessons a lot!! Thank you so much..Version: 3.14

Simple, effective way to learnI'm a guitar player who has put off learning to sight-read for DECADES. This app makes it easy and fun to develop instant note recognition - which is half the battle..Version: 3.9.10

Great App to learnI have found this to be a great app to learn how to read music..Version: 3.17

Simple and sweetReally all you need wow.Version: 3.22.1

Really goodI think this app is really good!!! I would really recommend. The only thing is that there are ads every time you want to do it again which kind of sucks but that’s the only thing that you can look out for..Version: 3.16.1

Pretty impressiveGood app Highly recommended.Version: 3.16.1

Set aside time for this.I’ve never found a more fun way to improve sight reading. If you aspire to learn music and improve your sight reading, something I was horrible at, this app, which will become a game later, will help you so much! I said it will become a game later because you will tend to feel you need to challenge your last score to see how to beat your self the last time. Mistakes you make will make you crack a smile because you will know you shouldnt have made that mistake cuz you knew better. After playing this for some time, I decided to write a review, something I dont do, because I saw how much this helped me more than anything I’ve every tried before, and I know it can help you too. Thanks to the developers, I cant thank you enough for this. Music lessons are expensive, but it seems you know well the struggle of learning and money it takes to learn. You have my eternal thanks!!!.Version: 3.16.1

Music Tutor Has Been A Great Tool!I have dyslexia and have always had a problem reading music. So much so that I have given up many times. Music Tutor has helped me tremendously in drilling note positions into my brain and has helped me keep the notes straight. I have made more progress in 2 weeks with MT than months without it. Thanks.Version: 3.17

Semi-GreatI would rate this game 5 stars but there’s a huge problem. The problem is 99% of people who get on the leaderboard just spam random things and get great scores. This isn’t fair because if you get everything 100% but you only get through 40 your score is only 4000. Most people on the leaderboard have tens of thousands. Please fix this. Bye! From a Music Tutor student..Version: 3.16.1

This app is awesome......howeverThis app is awesome to help you learn the notes on both the treble clef and bass clef by heart. But if you're used to the older version, this update will seem to drag a bit. For whatever reason I used to consistently get 60 or more notes correct per minute. Not able to do that with the latest app update. Just seems to drag a bit. Not a big deal if you're new to the app. You'll be able to still track your progress. But if you were improving with the older version, you'll feel like your quickness of recognizing and hitting the note is much slower. Great app for what it's built for. I'm just disappointed with the slight drag conmpared to the older version..Version: 3.8

Simple but effectiveI've been using the app for a couple of weeks now, on the train to work every day and with persistence I'm noticing steady improvement. The app is very easy to get started with and doesn't have unnecessary bells and whistles. I'm very happy with the straightforward approach to memorising notes and it's nice to look back on my progress with the graph feature. Some features which could be added: · An exercise asking how many times/semitones between two notes · Chord recognition exercises · Scales Thanks for a great app!.Version: 3.9.10

Amazing!Helped my sight reading to no end! Wish it did chords as well though..Version: 3.17

Music tutor is goodI am riding it really beneficial in learning the notes. Whenever I have a few minutes to spare I can just practise..Version: 3.16.1

Amazing way to learn!!I’ve played in treble clef all of my life, but I recently picked up cello, which is in bass clef. I thought it would be hard and confusing trying to learn it, since I assumed I would confuse the notes with treble clef notes. But then my teacher recommended this app! It made it so much easier to learn how to read, and with the competitive aspect of it, I was having fun while learning! If there was one thing to improve, is maybe to include flash cards? I think that would be pretty cool! But yes! Amazing app!.Version: 3.7.1

Great practiceBecome a great music reader!.Version: 3.17

Almost perfectVery good app. I wish 2 functions were available, landscape mode, so the piano keys are bigger, possibility to hide the current time and score to stay focus on the notes. And no shuffle of the name of the notes when playing..Version: 3.9.10

Exactly what I was looking forExactly what I was looking for.Version: 3.16.1

Very handy for a free app.Good for hammering home note positions until you know longer have to think about it.Version: 3.17

Fantastic appWhat a wonderful app. Simple, easy to use, customizable, and ads are not intrusive. Couldn’t have asked for more!!.Version: 3.17

MusicI loved this app but it now is very good for the piano skill and lesson.Version: 3.9.10

Very coolI’m getting better already!.Version: 3.17

Awesome!!It’s taken Every good boy deserves fruit, and FACE to a whole new level!!.Version: 3.14

GreatVery simple to use and exactly what i was looking for.Version: 3.17

BrilliantExcellent for learning to read music and makes you improve very quickly it was exactly what I needed and helped me pick it up faster and in a fun way, encourages you to do better and beat your previous scores- excellent and simple to use..Version: 3.9.10

Love it!Great for practicing and memorizing the notes..Version: 3.16.1

It’s good!1I think this is an amazing app. I have been struggling with my sight reading for 2 years, and this has definitely made an improvement! The thing is every time you have a lesson an add pops up, and if your human, you hate adds. Over all a very good app, I recommend it!.Version: 3.20

GgjjvccbnnccvhddvvTyhhvvgg.Version: 3.12

Good AppThis app is useful the size of the diagrams are good, it also shows you any error you make and the correct answer..Version: 3.16.1

Great way to learn how to read musicLove it, a fun and easy way to learn how to read music.Version: 3.9.2

Useful and fun to keep note dictation skills sharp (pardon the pun)Useful and fun way to keep note dictation skills sharp (pardon the pun).Version: 3.9.10

Fun app.Fun app. to learn reading music for a total novice. 👍.Version: 3.8.3

Dff$&$d$$$$$$$Good app.Version: 3.9.10

Very useful! This is very easy to use and can be played like a simple, repetitive game though you need to know the note positions before you can play. I'm only working with the treble clef - but already in a week my speed has more than doubled with 100% accuracy. Well worth downloading!.Version: 1.5

AwesomeIt really helped me with my sight reading. Weather you want to learn to play instruments or compose, this will improve your sight reading..Version: 3.15

Great App!! Will be using for the next few years!!I’m a high school student trying to learn these notes in order to prepare for AP Music Theory; and so far I’ve really been able to practice them! Now it’s just a matter of speeding up!! Soon I’ll be ready!! This app has done great things!!.Version: 3.17

Really goodI found this app exactly what I needed to improve music reading abilities.Version: 3.17

Making the App simplerA good app. The Pro version needs a choice to get rid of the sharps and flats to simplify the learning process.Version: 3.12

It’s a great toolMy daughters and I thought it would be fun to learn piano together. This app definitely helps to learn and identify music notes, however it doesn’t do much for identifying the actual keys on the piano itself. What we do is look at the note and press the key on our piano before going onto the next one to help identify the note as well as which key it is on the piano. I really do think this app is great but would be way better if it could listen to your piano so that you could press the right keys as it goes..Version: 3.12

Digital flash card training. Thank you!It would be awesome if, in the stats log, it recorded the date and time of each practice. Would that be easy to add??.Version: 3.9.10

So so amazingI really love this. it’s so simple and easy to use and it really improves my sight reading. i already have a background reading music, but my piano teacher hasn’t taught me how to read music very effectively. This has helped increase my speed reading notes as well as accuracy. i normally don’t leave reviews but this is so amazing.Version: 3.17

Very handy appThis is just what I was looking for. Now I can get a bit of practice in while away from the piano. My only criticism is that the progress graph does not scroll. It would be nice to be able to see my progress from day one but I have to reset it when it becomes a mess..Version: 3.12

Pretty good - could be betterYou can set min/max note and good for practicing notes alongside my sight reading for guitarists book. Could be improved with ability to show treble & bass on screen at the same time (for piano, etc) instead of confusingly switching from one to the other. Also be nice if they fixed the bug that means the previous run’s last note stays shown before the first of the current run is shown, as sometime you’re too quick and get a “wrong note” inaccuracy which knocks your max possible score down. Also it would be great if it could produce a few bars of random notes (within note limits set and show treble or bass & treble, etc) so you can practice at the piano or guitar - doesn’t need to recognise the notes and mark you - but if it could that would be even better..Version: 3.14

Great app but..This is a great app and I recommend to new piano players. I started with this and In no time I was playing while songs! It could have some other upgrades.Version: 3.17

Pure AwesomenessThis app helped me so much throughout my learning of the musical staff, mostly treble clef though. Before I was very bad a note reading and had to use little rhymes like FACE and Every Good Boy Deserves Fudge. I would recommend this app to anyone who has trouble remembering the notes and takes time figuring it out. You can also go and set time for ♾, ten minutes, five minutes, and one minute for those people who are experienced enough..Version: 3.12

Absolutely awesomely sinplistic appGreat app to use increase your sight reading, go from knowing absolutely nothing to reading quickly. Only wish I have is that they include other key signature in the options..Version: 2.9.1

Perfect for someone like me for learningIt really helped me and the wife.Version: 3.14

Pretty good and very helpfulIt has really helped me better my sight reading though what would make this app a 5 star is if there was an option for you to practice seeing the grand staff instead of each separate clef. Definitely would recommend nonetheless but please please pleasee incorporate a grand staff option!!!!.Version: 3.16.1

Solid app for sight reading practiceOverall, I like it and am already seeing progress in my sight reading after a few days. I like the simplicity of it and how it tracks progress. I did find it very difficult at first and would like different difficulties to practice at, maybe adding sharps and flats or lower or higher notes. Still, a good app for practicing and I’m definitely getting better because of it!.Version: 3.9.10

Abc123I used to not be able to read music notes and now I know all of them of by heart and have gotten 100% like 5 times in a row and if I accidentally make a mistake it’s only because my finger slipped and I still get 90% ish..Version: 3.17

This app is great!I think this app is great! Before I got this app I could not sight read at all but with the help from my amazing piano teacher and from this great app I can read right hand easily and now I’m working on my left hand too! I recommend this app. One improvement could be that there should be different stat boards for left hand and right hand. 😁😁😁.Version: 3.13

Simply amazingThis is an amazing tool for learning the language of sheet music. Contrary to what other reviewers have stated you can limit the amount of lines above and below the 5 lines in the settings. I have set mine to range from middle C to the top line and once I have got them bedded in I will expand the range. The adverts are ok, it has to be funded somehow. Notifications can be turned off..Version: 3.8.3

So far so good.Reviewing after one day. Seems to be exactly what I needed. A simple game to build my sight reading. Will consider buying sometime in the next few weeks!.Version: 3.16.1

:)Good app but same like other games the adds RUIN the game....Version: 3.17

Fantastic Teaching ToolWe use this tool throughout our middle school program. It’s fantastic for beginning band as we extend the same range of notes on the app to match the progression of range as the students move through their method book. The review feature is fantastic for kids who need help. The timed exercise, notes correct, and accuracy displays all help the advanced kids achieve higher scores. It’s also a great review for second or third year members that need the reinforcement. Super great app. I recommended to many of my teacher friends! Cheers, Band Teacher from a St. Louis.Version: 3.9.2

Glockenspiel to FluteI’m a glockenspiel player and before this app for ten years I played without reading a single piece of sheet music. Learned by ear. Now I’m learning flute. It is VERY difficult as I switch to and fro with playing styles and basically learning another language. (sheet music) And my god this app has helped so much with learning. Ten times faster, such a genius way to teach. I’ve suggested this app to many other musician friends. Thankyou!.Version: 3.9.1

Not for beginners, but great once you’ve gotten the hang of it!Wish there was a setting to limit the notes to just the staff for beginners. I do really enjoy how streamlined and simple the app is..Version: 3.17

Thank you!Love this app. Thank you for making an easy to use interface to learn the notes. It’s simple and fun..Version: 3.17

Great, butHalf a star off because of lots of ads, and that the note recordings in ‘sounds’ have a scratching noise in them. Other than that, great! 😀😀😀.Version: 3.17

It coolIt is very cool.Version: 3.17

It’s goodWhen I first got music tutor it was because my music teacher told the class to. But then I started yawing it more and now I’m the best in my class from it. I would recommend it to people who are gonna start reading/ writhing sheet music..Version: 3.17

Great app for learning notesMy goto app when i have some waiting time.Version: 3.22.2

The app is good but too many Ads which is quite annoyingSince we paid for the App, there is no sense to spend extra money to remove Ads.Version: 3.17

Easy to use and effectiveThis app is really helping me to improve my sight reading:).Version: 3.9.1

Ok 👍My piano 🎹 teacher 👨🏼‍🏫 Oscar says this is good for me I agree one hundred 💯 percent.Version: 3.16

Great app, but adsThis is a great, simple app for learning notes and where they are on the piano, but there are ads that are definitely not kid friendly. A half naked girl in bed with a shirtless man popping up when my kids are using this to help learn is completely inappropriate. I would pay for this app to get rid of crappy ads like that! Grrrrrrrrr. Looking for something else now..Version: 3.6

Too many adsToo many ads.Version: 3.17

Great toolI have been using this tool for few months. It’s a great way to practice. Very easy to use. Well designed.Version: 3.16.1

Pretty goodThis is a decent little app, but I’d like to see more stats like accuracy over time, and the rate at which I’m inputting answers. The score seems somewhat arbitrary, and not a great way to track what really matters. I can guess faster, but be wrong more often, but still get a higher score, for example..Version: 3.17

Wow 😮 it’s amazing. When I downloaded the app I had to get over 2000 points on my first try I got 1000 something, but when on second go I got 3384 points! Just goes to show that music tutor is amazing!.Version: 3.9.10

The best app for reading musicThis is a really good app but can you make an option where you can play without the timer?.Version: 3.9.2

Could easily be a 5 starFor string players, if you could add numbers next to the letters, it would help tremendously in new string players ability to read music. Because if your app, I can say the notes, but I have no idea where the notes are on my instrument. I play viola, pretty much the only instrument that uses alto clef. If you just added a 0 to the lower C, and so on, I would know where to actually put my fingers on the instrument..Version: 3.16.1

Great Practice AidHalf the story of learning sight reading is learning to instantly recognise the notes. This really helps with that. Now, sight reading practice just involves finding appropriate transcriptions and getting on with the joy of playing. Plus it’s free (with adds). Job well done..Version: 3.18

FantasticHad big issues remembering note names since returning to music lessons after 40 years. This tool has helped me tremendously! Loving this technology! 👍🏻.Version: 3.14

Amazing app! No butsThanks to this amazing app I managed to get great marks in my grade one piano exam. A highly recommended app for strugglers at sight reading and the ability to connect to game centre makes it even better you can set your range of notes from any note to any other not in treble, bass or alto clef, select if you want sharps of flats and can have: C D E F G A B, C D E F G A H, DO REI MEI SO LA SI And DO REI MEI SO LA TI Amazing app I don’t know how it could be better Sorry if I spelt anything wrong.Version: 3.8.3

Learning EasierExcellent, funny way to learn all !.Version: 3.17

Starting to read notes fasterI read some online article about this app and I'm impressed with the simplicity. When I was a kid, my piano teacher taught me two sayings and didn't understand until now. Watching only the spaces between the 5 main lines from bottom to top - Left hand: ACEG (all cows eat grass) then every time you go above or below the 5 lines, All Cows Eat Grass becomes the lines instead of the spaces. Right Hand: FACE. Same rule applies above and below the 5 lines, switch FACE to the lines instead of spaces. Hope this make sense! Starting to read much quicker now thanks to this app. I went from an average of 12 seconds to 6 in less than a week. Trying to read as fast as 1 second so I can play piano off of sheet music faster. Thank you for this free app!!!.Version: 3.17

ThanksGreat app. And developer response to a problem..Version: 3.14

Exactly what I was looking forLove the app..Version: 3.17

I like music tutorCool.Version: 3.9.11

AMAZINGI’ve been using this app for approximately two weeks, and in this short time, (using the app around 20min a day) my sight reading has improved tremendously. I’ve tried forever to improve this skill, and this is the ONLY thing that has worked! Thank you to the developers!.Version: 3.10

Music tutorIs an awesome app for learning music 🎶.Version: 3.16.1

This is the best app everI totally ❤️this app and it is absolutely the best app ever . well not exactly but you get what i mean.😜the only thing that seems to drive people crazy is the ads. at first there are too many of them, and then you have to pay to get them off. i don’t think it’s fair that we have to pay just to make it fun.😩ps other than that i love this app!😍😊😀.Version: 3.17

Error feedback is a problemI am satisfied with the app, but when I make a mistake it is hard to notice. Maybe there are settings to have the app pause and allow you to review and dismiss the mistakes. But the default setting sound and colour flash is too quick as a new note pops up before I even had the chance to review my mistake..Version: 3.17

Super helpfulI’m currently trying to learn music theory and knowing the names of notes by heart is the main challenge. This app is perfect in its simplicity and it’s addictiveness. Being able to practice on the move is priceless. Brilliant!.Version: 3.9.2

Not what I was expectingSo I was thinking this is an app that tells you the notes on the Piano and how to read music. But it’s just telling you the order of the notes you know F G A B C… and so on. If you just want to learn that then this is the app for you, It gives you quizzes so it’s like studying flash cards. I really like this app for just learning notes, I hope this helped!!!!!.Version: 3.17

Great app, would love two more featuresI’ve been reading music (treble and bass) for decades now, but recently picked up viola, and am frustrated with my lack of fluency with alto clef, so downloaded this app a few days ago. So far, I love it! The time ticking down adds a bit of pressure, similar to trying to read music in a group, where you can’t spend forever figuring out what note you’re supposed to play. I also enjoy being able to look at the stats to see how long it really takes to identify the notes. I do wish for a couple features, though: 1) The ability to limit to only lines or spaces for a session, or to be able to select specific pitches, rather than a range. 2) More detailed stats. Are there particular notes that I always misidentify, or certain ones it takes me longer to identify? What about one clef vs another? Those two features would make this an AMAZING (rather than simply great) tool, as you could then identify your trouble spots, and then set it to drill you specifically on those spots..Version: 3.14

Learning funThis app has been great for me to practice learning treble scale as I could not read music before. It lets you know if you messed up by flashing red and after each session you can look at your mistakes to see what you did wrong to try to improve. My first day I did 15 notes a minute and got half of them wrong. Two weeks later and my last session was 151 notes with two mistakes (and one of those was my finger biting the wrong button). Things I would like to see improved. More explanations about what things are or why to choose a certain scale or even just links to wiki If I realize I messed up before I raise my finger I would like to be able to change my answer. To be able to delete a quiz in the middle of it so it doesn’t count if I need too. None of these things are deal breakers and I love the app..Version: 3.7.1

Amazing way to learn notes for starters and advancedThis is an amazing app for kids and adults who would like to learn notes. In options you can always change how far your note range is and what clefs you would like. I also like that you don’t have to do treble bass and alto clefs at different times you could choose to do some at the same time. A great thing that they added sound light effects and flats and sharps. For example you could choose not to have sound but if you do it makes the sound of the note and flashes green quickly if you get it right. If you press it incorrect it will flash red quickly and make sort of an errrrr sound. You could also have the choice of flats and sharps if you would like to. Another major thing is that you get scored by accuracy, points, and how many notes you got correct and a chart of your points for that round. When you finish a round and you get something incorrect it will show you a view mistakes button so you could see what you did wrong and get the right answer next time. The last thing is that you could choose fore how long you would like to practice, you would get a choice of one minute, five minutes, ten minutes or infinity. This app for practice is great. Enjoy!.Version: 3.8.3

Music Tutor is Awesome 🎼Try Music Tutor it is great..Version: 3.14

Great app. Helped A lotThis app was great. It’s good at this sight reading. Best app in the world!.Version: 3.17

Great appI would like if screen would hang on red for a little longer upon a wrong answer as that longer feedback would assist my child. However overall we found Music Tutor really useful and good value. Keep up the good work!.Version: 3.9.10

GoodReally good app if you’re trying to learn music.Version: 3.17

Great appReally helpful, you can adjust the range of notes which is amazing for beginners.Version: 3.17

Awesome.It was so amazing..Version: 3.9.10

Sight readingGood for beginners learning your notes. Can be an issue when doing treble and bass clef at the same time because they are random and it’s easy to think you are looking at the wrong one with speed..Version: 3.12

HelpsIt is exactly what I wanted!.Version: 3.14

Very good for paid version! This app is a very nice app for kids to practice their piano notes. They can practice and also this app for paid version has no ads. The free version was bad. There were ads that were very long and I hate them. So please buy the paid version!.Version: 3.12

I love this! This made me on top of my class when I started this app!.Version: 3.14

ImprovementI used to be really bad at telling the notes apart but with the help of my band Director, and this app, I’ve been able to read notes, much faster and be able to tell the difference between sharps and flats. This app is really good. I’ve recommend 10 out of 10.!!!Using this app literally just 10 minutes a day Will help you improve!.Version: 3.17

Music TutorQuick and easy way to improve sight reading. It’s unfortunately it’s only one not at a time and one cleft at a time but it really does help with recognising and learning notes quick..Version: 3.9.2

Helpful! An easy on-hand way I can practice on-sight reading. I practice during my 10 minute breaks, first thing in the morning and right before I go to sleep. I enjoy seeing my speed quicken with sight reading through this app!!!.Version: 3.22.2

Great learning aidAmazing learning aid. A few days playing a few minutes a day has helped significantly..Version: 3.12

For beginners - amazingWow, this is exactly what I’m looking for. Flash cards are nice but I wanted to actually PRESS the piano keys to link notes and keys in my memory. The fact that you can control the range of notes. Is amazing. So for a beginner, starting with only 5 notes is great, then working my way up to the entire range. I pay for very few apps and this is one I don’t mind giving money too.....Version: 3.7.1

Good for building speedGreat for an almost beginner to get to grips with quickly identifying notes. Sharps, flats and the range of notes can be adjusted in the settings menu..Version: 3.12

Nice App with Great SupportMusic Tutor is exactly what I was looking for when it comes to learning to read music. But I really bought this for my 7 year old daughter, who loves it too — and her note recognition is coming on in leaps & bounds. Support from the developer was also excellent when I had a problem installing Music Tutor on my daughters iPad — problem solved in less than 2 hours. Tip: If you’re planning to use family sharing to install this on another persons device don’t buy the in-app purchase, instead buy Music Tutor Plus 👍🏻.Version: 3.9.2

Helped me learn notes betterSight reading has improved because of this app.Version: 3.17

Helps me a lotI have a lot of trouble with site reading and I have only had this for like a week and it is so much easer then me trying to mesmerize it on my own it is so much wiser and it is free . I have tried so many other games and videos and they did not really work that well but this app works so much better.Version: 3.14

Music Tutor.I use this app with all my students and they become very excited as they are able to read the notes. Being able to turn on or off the sharps and flats means I can use it with even my youngest students. Thank you for such a wonderful tool - Judi Kelly Is it possible to have two octaves in the keyboard? This would make it more realistic and relate better to the piano - still loving this app, thank you. - Judi Kelly.Version: 2.9.1

Good for what it isEasy to use flash card like music tutor. Works well..Version: 1.6

AwesomeThis app is exactly what my daughter needs to practice for her piano lessons..Version: 1.3

Really goodI improved a lot after this really easy to setup and overall just so so so good!!!😃.Version: 3.17

Just what I was looking forI love this! Makes learning the notes a fun game. Note shows up (and the sound is played, if you want it), and you identify it. You can go over your mistakes at the end of the game. Simple to use and very effective. Maybe I can finally learn the notes!.Version: 3.12

FantasticFantastic little tool to help with sight/reading single notes. I’ve found it useful to play when on the go. The inclusion of a reference section is useful. I think the app would be so much greater if it included chords over single notes, as that’s what I struggle with reading the most..Version: 3.7.1

ReviewI think that this is a great app because it’s very useful in the way it has more than just the bass and treble clefs. I also find it helpful when you get a note wrong it tells you and then and the end of the session you get a score because then you can use it to improve your speed. My only criticism is that it’s a bit repetitive in that there isn’t a great range of activities included in the app..Version: 3.7.1

Basic & PracticalIf your trying to learn musical note reading this app is well worth the price. It offers both practice within the app and with a midi hookup as well. The ability to practice at ones own individual’s capabilities is always a big plus with me. This app is highly recommended..Version: 3.18

This is exactly what I was looking forI downloaded the royal music theory app 1st. Their app is ok but geared for piano for children. Then I found this! This app lets you select between treble bass or alto. It allows you to keep repeating select notes over and over so the position on the staff stays in your head. It is very useful! I have had the app for 5 minutes and I’m now much faster at identifying notes. I like that you can limit the notes to learn as I am a complete beginner & will up the range as I learn more. Thank you v much, well worth £1.99 to get rid of the ads. Cheers!.Version: 3.16.1

It’s amazing but has space for improvementI absolutely love this app! It’s has helped me a lot with note-reading and practicing and it’s options are absolutely great too! I have a suggestion though, this app could really use an option where you can play the notes on an actual piano and it would tell you if you played it correctly or not. It would be really useful..Version: 3.11

It’s amazingOn the new update you get to change your timing and the note referring really helps.l also think there should be a difficulty chart to make the test easy, medium or hard..Version: 3.12

7 starsFantastic app!.Version: 3.10

Best app everYou should try this app is really good 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 it times you how well you know your notes and you have two choices is a piano or buttons that will show you a picture I am nine years old I play piano and this is really good app it's so good deafly should get it you should get it to you you you you.Version: 3.9.10

Good very goodVery very good.Version: 3.12

Great Game!Awesome game has improved my piano!.Version: 3.8.3

HelpedHelped me really fast.Version: 3.12

Problem solvedPreviously had the issue where I would get ads after the purchase, however the developer promptly responded and solved my issues and responded to all my questions promptly. Very happy with the service and product overall now.Version: 3.14

Struggling pianistLove this app! It has really helped me improve my sight reading. In the absence of traditional flash cards, this is the next best thing! I have noticed massive improvement in as little as 1 week by doing daily exercises. :) I highly recommend this app to all budding musicians..Version: 2.2

I love how you time us on how much we can get then put it on a graph ugh so amazingBy Tess clark.Version: 3.9.10

HmmGood.. I guess.. this game is good because it’s FULLY free, but at one point I had perfect scores, but then it crashed and made me restart..Version: 3.14

Try ThisVery useful tool for improving your sight reading skills. In just one day I saw huge improvement..Version: 1.3

Easy free adaptableGreat sight reading app.Version: 3.17

Love it!This is an amazing app all round! My singing teacher recommended it to me and I’m glad he did! It’s awesome and really helps with my sight singing! The only improvement would be an actual test every week or something and then it can tell you what you’ve improved on and what to work on but other than that it’s perfect!!!!!!!! 😍😍😍.Version: 3.9.2

Perfect for practicing sight reading!I love this app for practicing my sight reading, it has been great for me every step of the way. Good for tracking your progress and getting some practice whether it’s on the fly or for extended periods of time. I started with the free version and ended up paying for it, so much more better with out the ads and it seems a bit better than the free version. Overall I would recommend it to everyone who is practicing reading music or sight reading- whether it’s a beginner or a classically trained musician this is great!.Version: 3.14

Music TutorI have been really enjoying this app for the past year. It has dramatically improved my sight reading. However, recently, I no longer can hear the sounds of the piano notes being played, and it’s not a problem that I am having with my iPad. I would really love to know how to get this problem corrected..Version: 3.12

Music tutorMusic tutor is a great app for helping children learn the notes of the treble and bass clef. I have previously struggled with ledger lines but this app is helping me fix that. Just one thing, it should be a touch more fun..Version: 3.12

Simple, perfect for improving staff sight reading!Great app! The best iOS app available for this testing memorization and improving speed. I like that it can be customized to limit/expand the notes being tested, including sharps and flats. I also like that 3 clefs are offered (treble, bass, alto) so that I can master one before moving on to another..Version: 3.14

Thank youGreat training device.Version: 3.12

Excellent resourceThis is an excellent and reasonably priced app you can use anywhere, anytime - waiting for the kettle to boil, travelling etc. A really useful function is being able to ramp up the difficulty in small steps and the timer modes, to gradually build up your speed. I found that after using it regularly, I was able to pick up and read sheet music much faster. I use it twice a day minimum and can instantly see my progress on the displayed graph. Absolutely perfect for beginners to use complement more traditional methods if learning to read..Version: 3.18

Very goodThis app is perfect for practising notes. If you choose the practice mode in the setting, there will be no interruption by adds..Version: 3.17

Best note teacher, buy the ad-freeThis is the best note teaching app. I have tried many. The speed at which it’s presented is great. Has a great look. Tons of settings. Upgrade to ad-free, it’s worth it. To the developer, I’d heavily recommend adjusting the default range settings to more usual note ranges (treble and bass), as I know many typical iPhone users won’t have the patience to tweak settings and will be turned off by the initial settings. Also, the only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the amount of ads was insane, much more than average. It somewhat turned me off from this app initially but $2 is nothing so I bought it and a few others and this one is the best, amazing without the chokingly constant ads. I’d recommend ads for every other practice session instead of every session. The deceptively similar-UI-looking ads on the bottom were quite annoying as well. I know it’s hard to find that right balance of as many ads as possible while not turning customers away from annoyance. So maybe you’ve made the right choice, idk..Version: 3.14

Simple and straight to the pointIt’s a great and simple app with a scoreboard. I like the keyboard option too. I’d love to see more detailed stats and features like showing which notes are most often missed or notes which one spends most time on (indicating thinking time and thus a note requiring more attention). With this, the student could then train on those specific notes. Nevertheless, existing features work well. It does what it says on the tin 👍.Version: 3.16.1

Great way to get quickerNote reference hints would useful otherwise perfect.Version: 3.17

Great app, have a recommendation. This app has helped me be faster and is decently versatile in its options for practicing. However, one feature I’d recommend as a way to focus in on your weak spots is a feature that quizzes you on the most commonly missed notes over in the past 5 or so runs..Version: 3.12

Sight reading trainer on the goNice app for sight reading practice when you have a few minutes to kill. Would be great to have a rhythm trainer too as an idea for improvement..Version: 3.12

Scoring could be betterWhen playing the app shows how many correct and the percentage accuracy. It should also show the incorrect count so you can see when you get something wrong. I want to know when I miss something. Also I purchased it on my iPhone and it has no ads as expected but when I used it on my iPad it shows ads even though I’m logged in properly. One other thing. I think it should show treble and bass clef combined as an option as this is what we read in sheet music..Version: 3.17

Piano teacherRecommended it to my students for years.Version: 3.14

Kids love itGood way for my daughter to learn she loves it.Version: 3.8.3

Great music app! This app is helping me to learn notes quickly as I am a saxophonist that's only been playing a year and learning to read music. The app is easy to use, my kids also use it when they can and you can just do a quick test on the go. If I were you, I'd get this app!.Version: 3.6

I think this app is greatI heard about this app from a teacher of mine when I was asking about How to read sheet music. I was not disappointed at all..Version: 3.17

Music tutorCool stuff it helps my note recognition even my piano teacher said so and when you learn it it’s in a really fun way .I hope more and other people use this also ..Version: 3.14

Great!Really good app to improve your sight reading although when I buy to have no adds it doesn’t work. Very good app!!!.Version: 3.17

Amazing! This app is the best and I can use it for practices get my note names. This app is awesome. It only applies to the treble clef, alto clef, and base clef. I definitely recommend this if you are in an orchestra. It is great for practice or if you are just practicing your note names. although I wish they can do a couple less ads and because they’re annoying on the practice. Thank you music tutor!.Version: 3.9.10

This app is great 🤩🤩🤩🤩It helped me learn my notes properly and makes it easier to memorise.Version: 3.17

Very helpfulI’ve been trying to relearn piano, as I only know the basic notes, but I’ve struggled with remembering them. I downloaded this app just out of pure curiosity, and I noticed after a while, I could finally understand notes. It wouldn’t take me forever to find out exactly what note I would be looking at. This app is amazing..Version: 3.7.1

Helpful!I really enjoy this application and it has improved my ability to recognize notes for sure. However, I wish there were just a few more options. For example, I like that at the end of a session I can study my incorrect notes. But why can’t I launch another session where I can really hammer those home? Perhaps have an option to weave frequently missed notes into a new session? Also, why no landscape mode?.Version: 3.8

AmazingI think that this app will help you learn your notes faster and easier. I know it has helped me and I just started using it this week. I hope kids and adults that are learning how to play an instrument will use this app. I love and I think that I am going to refer it to my band teacher for the younger students that are still trying to learn their notes..Version: 3.12

Helps a lotThis “game” is very helpful. It helps with learning notes and using the app increases your knowledge of reading music from 50%-79%. It helped me in my early days of piano and now I can play a lot easier. If you play an instrument 🎻 🎹 then you should definitely download this app. And guess what? This version is free! So what are you waiting for? Download it for free today!.Version: 3.17

Spectacular for building familiarity with musical notesI’m a former cello player trying to acclimate to the treble clef and this is an amazing tool for me to practice recognizing treble clef notes fluidly. I only started a few days ago and I’m already better at instantly recognizing them than I was before. Must get!.Version: 3.17

Great for improving sight reading. Recommended.A great app covering treble and bass, with different time limits and feedback to correct mistakes..Version: 2.1.3
