✓ So frustrating to read the paperThe old app worked so much better. Yes you seemed to have fixed the pinch and zoom bug, but this app freezes up multiple times trying to get thru the paper. There are navigation issues, the USA today section has an annoying bar across the screen. I don't know why you replaced a functional app with something so buggy. You can’t zoom in to different levels and you never get the right page when trying to select. Adds pop up constantly even over the adds in the paper. So frustrating. ✓ Latest changes to BFP app are awkward & frustratingIf I want to enlarge a story in the lower right corner of a “page” I tap once and am always taken to the upper left, leaving me to scroll to the story I want to read. Along the way, an errant tap sends me into a different level. Being able to easily adjust these tap & swipe options could be much clearer. ✓ Old newsThis app for the most part is a waste of time. First majority of the news is old news you leave articles on it way too long. It should be more like your paper. Most news apps like the New York Post allows you to look at the paper. You put random articles on your side and leave them on there forever. ✓ Continued issues with this app on an iPadFortunately, this app was changed to be able to use it easier on an iPad. The app is still a major pain in other ways. When I try to read USA Today, I now have a gray stripe across the top quarter of the whole paper so it is impossible to read. You still spend half the time when trying to read the paper closing all the ads in order to read it. I pay for the paper so I shouldn’t have to close out an ad on every different section in order to read the paper. Definitely takes twice as long to read the paper than it did just a few weeks ago before this app. I personally am feeling forced to access the news from the internet as the BFP has been reduced to an app that’s primary purpose is to advertise to you. ✓ Why can’t this be more like WSJ?With the Journal’s app, I can see the timeline for events as they happen because articles appear in the context of a dated edition. I can peruse articles that may be interesting to me and not to others, or I can ignore articles that the publisher thinks are big deals and just focus on what I want to see. With the Free Press app, I can’t see articles organized by date of publication, I can only see what the publisher thinks I want to see, often from days or weeks before. I don’t get to pick and choose by date, I don’t get to see the smaller articles that might be interesting to me and to few other people - all I get to see are the articles that the publisher thinks are big deals. I hate this app. And the local obit’s are hard to read thru - after you read one, you need to go back to the main Obit page then dive into the local obits - waste of time.
