The Barclays app

HOW TO REGISTER
If you’re 16 or over and you have a UK-registered mobile number and a UK Barclays current account or Barclaycard, you can register for the app. You’ll need the 16 digit number off your card, then follow the onscreen instructions. Some customers may be required to verify their identity with PINsentry or at a Barclays cash machine.

If you’ve got an activation code, follow the onscreen steps to register (you won’t need PINsentry for this).

After you’re set up, you’ll only need your 5-digit passcode to log in. Then you can set up Touch ID or Face ID to log in faster in future.

• Join Barclays Blue Rewards and earn rewards just for banking with us
• Store your documents securely with Barclays Cloud It
• Find your nearest branch or cash machine
• Use Mobile PINsentry. It can take up to 4 days for this feature to be activated in the app while we complete some security checks
• Call us straight from the app to speak to an adviser
• Our iPhone app has been accredited by AbilityNet – the charity that assesses digital services for accessibility

FOR BUSINESS ACCOUNTS
You can only use the app if you’re a sole-signatory Barclays Business current account holder. You can’t register your Barclaycard business or corporate credit cards.

This app is provided by either Barclays Bank UK PLC or Barclays Bank PLC depending on the entity you may have contracted with for banking services. Please refer to your bank documents (terms and conditions, statements, etc) to confirm the legal entity that provides banking services to you.

✓ Best mobile bankingSo i made a transfer unknowingly to a fraudster account. What barclays did was to immediately lock my account and tried to contact me but unfortunately i wasn't able answer them but i got no way of accessing my app and able to pay the fraudster coz they immediately put a stop to it. It would be nice if all banks does that. Monzo did not do anything like that. It didn’t block me from using my app. But it would have been nice and safer that way atleast you will not lose your money. It sure as hell as scary at first coz why all of a sudden you are having a hard time accessing your app but then it is much safer for costumer. So unfortunately i bought a ticket through this person, she sent me the tickets through skiddle app and read that app was almost perfect rating in here so imagine my surprise that it is a scam and the tickets are all invalid tickets so when i showed up to the event i couldn’t get in. I like what barclays did lock mynaccount so i have no way of paying it unlike monzo i was able to do the transaction. Not blaming monzo for my stupidity but it would have been a nice that it would protect people from scam and fraud. Kudos to barvlays for going extra mile protecting its costumer. Barclays is my main bank. Monzo is just for transferring small amounts..JahcieyVersion: 3.37

✓ Sarah Dickinson: Barclays banking appThe Barclays mobile banking app has changed my banking completely. In the past I have struggled keeping up to date with my spending. Now I can check my balance all the time, after I have been shopping, when bills are due to go out, internet shopping. It gives me complete control of my finances. I also appreciate being able to transfer money between my current account to my savings account. It means I rarely have to visit the branch, as I can do everything I need to do on my phone. I would give the app more than five stars if I could, as it has enabled me to budget and as I said before I now have complete control of my finances. This has enabled me to improve my style of spending, and hopefully in the future improve my credit rating and account activity. ✗ No communicationI had a credit limit of around £7000! I had used around 2/3 of the limit then paid it ALL back in one lump sum. Now for some reason Barclays has lowered my credit limit to £300 without even talking to me! I’m not that bothered I’m just going to change banks on principle now though! It’s especially strange as I got such a high limit when I was earning much less money and ironically I had a promotion some months ago and am now on far more money. According to Experian my credit rating is also one level below excellent (the top rank) and I was actually hoping it would go up to excellent a couple of months after I paid off my card. All in all I have been loyal to Barclays and feel they owed me the courtesy of a phone call before just messing with my finances. You may be legally entitled to do that Barclays but be aware because of the lack of conversation before you took unfounded action I am about to close my account with you as I no longer can trust you with my monthly earnings.Nick82587Version: 2.73
