✓ In app purchase ReviewThis review is for the PAID version as I bought an in app upgrade. It does what it says and most of it well. Excellent app for annotating PDFs then sending them on to other apps or emailing. I really wanted to write this review on the paid version which fully deserves 5⭐ ratings. This paid app at £1.49 is a real bargain and would advise to buy now whilst relatively new in the App Store, I'm sure it won't stay at this cheap price for long. Well done to the developer for listening to customer feedback and wish you great success with this and any other apps you may produce..Version: 2.1.1

✓ Very good at what it does. You pay for upgradesI've used this app on the iPhone and iPad (2nd gen). It interfaces well with drop box. I down load files and store them in a drop box folder. I make changes in the program and have access to them (with notation) on all my devices. Buying upgrades is a little awkward. It seem there should be a way to try them before purchasing. It's really hard to tell if its worth buying. I personally think the notation upgrade is well worth it. It allows you to store hand written notations on the document. It also lets you open a new (blank) page to write on. It allows you to zoom in and write. Your hand writing will be very clear and small. It also has a highlighter feature which I like. While those features are nice, they need some improvement. Each new handwritten note starts in the top left corner of the page. Really you should be able to long click where you want to notate and have the note start there with the same zoom you used in your previous not. All in all, it's a very good program. Expect to pay a little extra for the upgrades..Version: 2.5.1

✓ Sad about updateReally great pdf editor, however sonce the update today, 14th December 2012, the weeks of work in sticky notes painstakigly translating text and keywords in 100 pages of language course documents are still there but will not open. It may be that the text has been deleted, cannot tell. Please can you fix the software to open speech bubbles from the last version as i do not want to lose a lot of work, which is in itself pretty heartbreaking.Version: 2.1

✓ Good AND Bad!On a scale of 1 to 10, PDF Max swings between a "12" and maybe about a "2". It is the most awesome annotation app imaginable, but updates are very, very scary. It seems like updates are released before they are ready or have been tested, and with little explanation of why sweeping changes have been made or how to use the modified features. Twice I have had the sad experience of disappearing data. The first time this happened, hundreds of hours of research and annotations silently slipped away with no option other than just getting over it and moving on without my notes. So while I really LOVE PDF Max, it's weaknesses take away much of the joy of using it. PDF Max could learn a lot from the adage, "If it ain't broke, please just leave it alone and don't try to fix it.".Version: 5.1.0

✓ Great app, minor bug, wish it had split screen capabilitiesGot this app so I could read scientific journal articles for work/grad school. Love the (paid) ability to save on Dropbox and highlight/leave notes. I find the file (text in the file especially) tends to get blurry when I zoom in. I also wish for another feature - the ability to split a screen and be able to look at 2 different sections of the same PDF at once. I often times need to read text in the article, but want to look at the figure they are referring to (often times the figure is on a different page) at the same time. If this feature were to be added, I would suggest this app to all of my colleagues and friends who do similar work..Version: 3.0.0
