✓ GreatThis magazine has always been in the forefront of photography, I started reading it in the early 70s and still reading it today. The app makes the magazine convenient and easy to read anywhere and if you wasn't to keep copies for future reference they don't take up any floor space..Version: 5.1.0
✓ Excellent appI love the app. I have a subscription to the hard copy of the magazine which I read at home, but love the fact that with this app I can also download as part of my subscription digital copies of the magazine so I can take them on the go. Also handy for keeping back issues as I sometimes remember there is an old article I want to look back on, so I don't need to keep the hard copy if I don't want to..Version: 5

✓ Massive improvement!Praise where praise is due. I hated the previous version of this app but this iteration is a huge improvement. It is now a real pleasure to use. ✓ Great content but slightly shifty controlI love the AP and cannot think of another photography magazine that is nearly as informative and down to the earth at the same time. So I was very thrilled to find that they have introduced the iPad version, because I no longer live in the UK and subscription overseas is rather pricy.. As always, the content is awesome and never disappoints. The control is a bit of a let down, however. Once zoomed in, dragging the page sometimes does not move you to the hidden areas of the current page but sends you to the next or previous page instead, which is irritating. Also, I would like to see the drop down menu for the content to show not just always the same four entries, but the actual list of all articles in the current issue. Another criticism is that for overseas subscribers, there is hardly any point in viewing the adverts of Park Camera & Co. I would like to be able to skip over those relatively easily. I doubt it is the intention of the UK dealers to reach overseas photographers with their adverts so I cannot imagine it would hamper the advert revenue if they introduce such a function for overseas subscribers..Version: 3.1
✓ Love the new lookLove the new layout of the magazine, I also got stuck in the review screen until I worked that you have to drag back along the bottom or the top of the screen, no probs now! Only page I didn't like on the new layout is the shirt add, I know you need adds, but cheap and nasty shirts in a photography mag, photo traders should be cuing up to advertise in the mag having witnessed the poor effort at Focus on imaging this year(I know it's not focus anymore)!.Version: 4.0
✓ Utter rubbishI bought it on my phone to read on my iPad. You can't! It won't recognise my e mail or password. Can't read it on my phone so ended up buying the magazine. There's no help and no contact address and the app is just terrible. Wonderful magazine I have read for 30 years but avoid the app at all costs..Version: 5.1.0
✓ Good-ishIts a good mag and the app usually works. 2 irritants though: 1) half the mag comprises the same thing every week (some of this ads, but other too); 2) the app spends days every week teasing you about the new edition that you can sign in and subscribe to....when you're already paying. ✓ Review mad!I gave this app one star because for several editions I could only get the review screen regardless of what I did! and no copies of the magazine. This has now been corrected but the frustration brought me close to cancelling my subscription, if it happens again I will!! Now it is working I am happy with the quality, I do not want to see the review screen again, it should be optional..Version: 4.0
✓ Amateur Photographer when Locked In.I have read Amateur photographer for several decades. As I travel a lot, I buy at stores rather than have a subscription; that way I am up to date and don’t have to wait a month or three until I get home. But Covid 19 has made it difficult and dangerous for someone of my age to go into newsagents or paper shops. So I decided to buy editions to read on my iPad until the lock down is ended and it is safe to return to normal shopping. Wonderful to be able to read my favourite magazine. As I read my daily papers on-line, I am used to used a screen and this is the perfect answer. Sign up, fellow photographers. That way you will not miss out on a great magazine..Version: 7.1.0

✓ An excellent appThe Amateur Photographer App works well. It is easy to use, the magazine is easy to read to flip from page to page. One good point is that it's possible to buy just one edition of the magazine, no obligation to subscribe. A user friendly App easy to us, even for the over 65's!.Version: 4.4
✓ Terrific magazine and AppBeen reading AP since the 1960's and as a subscriber having this App included with the magazine is brilliant. Other mags charge for this service. It is a great way to use on the go but my favorite bit is the ability to go back to past issues. Yes it can be slow rendering pages or downloading but that's because I have a crap ADSL broadband so should have no problems when broadband is upgraded to fibre optics in my area..Version: 3.5

✓ Love the magazine!!The app is pretty good, there is a few possible tweaks but nothing major that I have found so far. Would definitely recommend as the contend is superb and great for anyone getting into photography as there aren't many technical terms that can't be understood! ✓ Great App - no issuesThe magazine reader works well, never crashed. I love the font choice, clean and easy to read. ✓ Convenient and informative!This app is brilliant for me, as I have stacks and stacks of magazines at home (including Amateur Photographer) and for months I've been meaning to switch to digital as it's becoming a bit of a hazard while I run out of storage for my photography magazines. Amateur Photographer has been one of my favourites for a long while now, being a weekly magazine helps that and now I know they have an app it's the best! Great read pitched just right for a weekly mag, shame about all the UK adds would prefer none or at least not the other side of the world, seems geo sensitive adds might apply. ✓ Good app if you like that sort of thingDownloaded the app so I can catch next week's edition whilst away on holiday. There's a particular review I don't want to miss so I'm hoping it works ok. With the demo edition it seems to work well although the text is sometimes difficult to read and pinching the screen to enlarge just seems to make it go slightly fuzzy. Still, it's just about readable, navigation seems good and there are some useful extras. Probably still prefer the paper edition but in South West France..... this seems a good alternative- we'll see!.Version: 3.4

✓ Pricey but EXCELLENT photography magazineThis is the most expensive magazine I have purchased (and continue to purchase). It is produced every other week and the information is very current, unlike a number of other photography magazines. I love the equipment reviews, the photography tips, guides from experts, and the post-production tutorials. There is one feature in every issue where they take readers photographs and show how to make them better. The results they produce are amazing and I have found this feature to be particularly instructive and useful. Highly recommend for photographers at all levels..Version: 3.4
